Hello there. Happy Sabbath. 00:00:01.36\00:00:03.37 Come on in. We're about to meet with the King. 00:00:03.40\00:00:05.43 ¤ ¤ 00:00:05.47\00:00:53.55 Hello everyone. Hello Auntie Nat 00:00:53.62\00:00:55.32 Hello Auntie Cecily. Are you 00:00:55.35\00:00:56.99 excited about our worship time today? 00:00:57.02\00:00:59.49 I am and I know the children are 00:00:59.52\00:01:01.09 excited too about all the boys and girls from all around the 00:01:01.12\00:01:04.79 world who have joined us, aren't you? Yes. Yes. Now Auntie 00:01:04.83\00:01:08.06 Nat I know you want to send a big hello to some people who are 00:01:08.10\00:01:11.30 watching our program each week. 00:01:11.33\00:01:13.27 Yes. A little bird has told me that there are people watching 00:01:13.30\00:01:16.20 us in England. Oh hello. 00:01:16.24\00:01:19.87 If you are watching us from England or anywhere else in the 00:01:19.94\00:01:22.84 United Kingdom send us an e-mail to dwk@3abnaustralia. org. au to 00:01:22.88\00:01:25.75 say hello. We would love to hear from you. Our address is 00:01:25.78\00:01:28.48 dwk@3abnaustralia. org. au. 00:01:28.52\00:01:30.22 Auntie Nat. It's so good to have an extended lounge room where 00:01:30.25\00:01:34.32 we have children from all around the world joining us. Speaking 00:01:34.36\00:01:38.43 about hello, hello Teddy. How are you? Wouldn't know his 00:01:38.46\00:01:41.56 his floppy ears. They actually have to have help to sit up 00:01:41.60\00:01:45.40 don't they? Kate would you like to say a prayer for us before 00:01:45.43\00:01:49.20 we commence our worship time together. 00:01:49.24\00:01:52.87 Dear Jesus, thank you for the Sabbath. Please be with us while 00:01:52.94\00:01:56.58 we're studying and thank you for bringing us safely through 00:01:56.61\00:02:00.25 the week. In Jesus' name. Amen. 00:02:00.28\00:02:02.08 Amen. Thank you Kate. Auntie Nat how was your week? 00:02:02.15\00:02:06.92 Well I've had a really busy week in my garden, but I am glad that 00:02:06.96\00:02:11.99 the Sabbath is here and I so enjoy it because we can rest. 00:02:12.03\00:02:16.50 Yes. It's great to just stop and set aside our regular work and 00:02:16.56\00:02:21.80 spend some time with the Lord isn't it? 00:02:21.84\00:02:25.24 Aunt Cecily, I'm glad it's Sabbath because we don't have 00:02:25.27\00:02:28.88 to do any homework. 00:02:28.91\00:02:30.61 (Chuckles) That is a blessing isn't it. And speaking of 00:02:30.65\00:02:34.75 blessings, we have our blessing box here. Ruth would you like 00:02:34.78\00:02:38.52 to open our blessing box and tell us a way that we can bless 00:02:38.55\00:02:42.22 somebody during the Sabbath? 00:02:42.26\00:02:44.03 Take some friends and sing to the residents at a nursing home. 00:02:44.09\00:02:51.37 Oh isn't that a lovely thing to do. Wow. Thank you. And you know 00:02:51.40\00:02:57.14 if you had a musical instrument you could all come together with 00:02:57.17\00:03:02.88 your choir and musical instruments and you could 00:03:02.91\00:03:04.68 have a concert, couldn't you? Do you have a musical talent 00:03:04.71\00:03:08.85 that you could share with someone to tell them about 00:03:08.88\00:03:11.52 Jesus? What are your favorite songs about Jesus that you like 00:03:11.55\00:03:15.72 to sing or play on a musical instrument? And if you feel that 00:03:15.76\00:03:19.86 you can't sing or play a musical instrument, you could 00:03:19.89\00:03:22.10 always tell a poem or read a Bible verse to the people in the 00:03:22.16\00:03:27.30 nursing home, couldn't you? Ruth what do you like to play 00:03:27.34\00:03:30.74 or sing? 00:03:30.77\00:03:32.11 Well I like to play _good on the piano. 00:03:32.14\00:03:37.38 Oh so you're a pianist. Lovely. That sounds great. Wouldn't it 00:03:37.41\00:03:42.12 be a blessing to be able to share that with some other 00:03:42.15\00:03:46.59 people. Yes. We can just show them how much God loves them. 00:03:46.65\00:03:50.39 Sometimes a song Auntie Cecily about Jesus can be very 00:03:50.43\00:03:53.16 powerful and touch someone that a sermon or words can't. 00:03:53.19\00:03:55.93 Yes that's true. 00:03:55.96\00:03:58.73 Now Auntie Cecily you've been sharing with us some amazing 00:03:58.77\00:04:01.10 blessings about Jesus and his second coming. Would you like 00:04:01.14\00:04:03.47 to tell us about that today? 00:04:03.51\00:04:04.91 Yes, sure. Do you remember our discussion about the coming of 00:04:04.94\00:04:09.78 Jesus and how it's going to be a very noisy event. We've learned 00:04:09.81\00:04:14.32 that no one's going to miss it. Now later in our Bible story 00:04:14.35\00:04:18.69 we're going to learn about a young lady named Ruth. We'll 00:04:18.72\00:04:23.02 follow her mother-in-law Naomi back to Canaan. Ruth loved Naomi 00:04:23.06\00:04:28.63 and she decided that Naomi's God was worth following. Just like 00:04:28.66\00:04:33.57 Ruth, if we love Jesus, we won't be afraid to follow Him either. 00:04:33.60\00:04:38.47 When Jesus comes with great power and glory and all the 00:04:38.51\00:04:43.28 noise, we won't need to be afraid if we love Him with all 00:04:43.35\00:04:48.42 our hearts. God will protect us and keep us safe. We're told 00:04:48.45\00:04:54.12 in Revelation 6:15-17 that those who don't love Jesus will want 00:04:54.16\00:04:59.76 the rocks to fall on them and hide them. But Isaiah 25:9 tells 00:04:59.79\00:05:04.47 us that those who love Jesus will receive Him with gladness 00:05:04.53\00:05:09.04 and joy meaning we'll be so happy to see him we won't be 00:05:09.07\00:05:13.54 afraid. Remember 00:05:13.58\00:05:15.31 to believe and claim the promises in the Bible and 00:05:15.34\00:05:19.21 prepare your hearts for Jesus' return. 00:05:19.25\00:05:23.65 Thanks Auntie Cecily for sharing that with us. I am so looking 00:05:23.69\00:05:26.49 forward to when Jesus comes to take us back home. And I can see 00:05:26.52\00:05:29.89 that Pastor Rick has joined us again. Thank you Pastor Rick. 00:05:29.92\00:05:32.83 You're such a blessing to us. Thank you for joining us again. 00:05:32.86\00:05:35.70 So glad to be here again playing 00:05:35.73\00:05:37.70 music and praising God. And I understand you're learning about 00:05:37.73\00:05:42.07 Ruth from the Bible. We have a song about Ruth. 00:05:42.10\00:05:46.04 Pastor Rick, can we please sing When the Way is Rough and Steep? 00:06:28.98\00:06:34.69 That's a great song and it's a song that moves along pretty 00:06:34.72\00:06:37.79 fast. It goes like this. 00:06:37.83\00:06:39.49 Sing it again. 00:07:09.92\00:07:11.33 Pastor Rick, can we please sing Redeemed? 00:07:37.95\00:07:40.79 Aw, that's a beautiful song, Bethany. Thanks for choosing 00:07:40.86\00:07:43.63 that one. 00:07:43.66\00:07:44.99 Thanks Pastor Rick. We always enjoy having a sing along 00:08:51.09\00:08:54.66 with you. Now it's story time again with Dr. John. Wonder what 00:08:54.70\00:08:59.83 he has for us today? 00:08:59.87\00:09:02.04 Hello boys and girls. I'm Dr. John and welcome to story 00:09:02.07\00:09:06.04 time and welcome to boys and girls everywhere who are 00:09:06.07\00:09:09.98 watching and listening. A little boy was born in the Solomon 00:09:10.01\00:09:15.72 Islands. He was as black as black as his father who was a 00:09:15.75\00:09:21.36 cannibal who had given it up and he said this little boy I'm 00:09:21.42\00:09:26.39 going to call him No Strings because they used to have these 00:09:26.43\00:09:32.03 special strings made from vines and the devil used to tie them 00:09:32.07\00:09:37.17 to himself with the strings and so he was called No Strings 00:09:37.21\00:09:44.01 which we know as Cata Arangaso And he grew up to be a fine boy 00:09:44.05\00:09:50.39 and well educated. You probably don't know what he's doing there 00:09:50.42\00:09:56.32 and it's what we call a computer in the 1920s, a typewriter. He 00:09:56.36\00:10:02.03 learned to type and he finally became a pastor. Can you see his 00:10:02.06\00:10:07.74 kind face? And he became a leader. And during the war a 00:10:07.77\00:10:13.58 nasty officer, Officer Thomas, came to his village and he said 00:10:13.61\00:10:19.25 Cata, Cata Arangaso, we want to come here and use your school 00:10:19.28\00:10:24.89 house tomorrow and we're going to have a trial for some 00:10:24.92\00:10:29.72 Japanese prisoners and we want you to be the translator. Oh sir 00:10:29.76\00:10:34.86 you can do it today, you can do it the day after tomorrow but 00:10:34.90\00:10:39.93 tomorrow is Sabbath. Hah, Sabbath. You will be there 00:10:39.97\00:10:47.58 you will translate or else. He said Sir, I'm sorry. He stood up 00:10:47.61\00:10:54.48 tall, he looked him in the face, I serve God and tomorrow is his 00:10:54.52\00:11:00.59 Sabbath. We'll see about that. He took him and he laid him over 00:11:00.62\00:11:08.26 a big 44 gallon drum and he ordered the soldiers to flog him 00:11:08.30\00:11:13.64 until the blood poured out. And then he said now will you 00:11:13.67\00:11:19.37 interpret, now will you open your school tomorrow. He said 00:11:19.41\00:11:26.65 sir I serve God. God first and you second. Right I will shoot 00:11:26.68\00:11:33.79 you. They took him and they tied him to a coconut tree and they 00:11:33.82\00:11:40.90 lined up the soldiers with their rifles and Officer Thomas 00:11:40.93\00:11:45.97 said I will count one, two three and when I say three, you 00:11:46.00\00:11:51.84 shoot and get him in the heart. And Cata thought this was his 00:11:51.87\00:11:59.05 last day on earth. And he stood there and the officer said one, 00:11:59.11\00:12:06.25 two, (lips moving), no sound came out. Uh-hum_. 00:12:06.29\00:12:14.90 I'll do it again. One, two, (lips moving). He had the wrong 00:12:14.93\00:12:22.04 time. He didn't talk for two days and they threw him in 00:12:22.07\00:12:27.78 jail. And he was there with a sore back, so frightened 00:12:27.81\00:12:33.45 because he'd almost been shot. And a tall man with a set of 00:12:33.52\00:12:39.35 who walked right through the gate up to the prison, opened 00:12:39.39\00:12:45.19 the door and said Cata Arangaso. Wake up. Cata jumped up. Oh who 00:12:45.23\00:12:50.43 are you. Come with me. Unlocked the door, took him out, took him 00:12:50.47\00:12:55.20 down the path down to the lagoon There was a canoe. He said, 00:12:55.24\00:13:00.88 Start paddling and go. And off he went. You know they never 00:13:00.91\00:13:06.38 ever saw that man again. He was an angel. The keys had stayed 00:13:06.41\00:13:11.82 next to Officer Thomas all night You know Cata was more than 00:13:11.85\00:13:17.23 brave. He saved the lives of 214 airmen whose planes had crashed. 00:13:17.26\00:13:22.80 And if you go to the museum here in Couranbong, I'll read it for 00:13:22.83\00:13:28.34 you. Air Force Association, California Wing, citation of 00:13:28.37\00:13:32.91 merit to Cata Arangaso for bravery in leading over 200 00:13:32.97\00:13:37.48 Allied Soldiers to safety through enemy lines. 00:13:37.51\00:13:43.72 And Cata he went all over the world telling his story and I 00:13:43.75\00:13:48.12 got this yesterday and I polished it up because it is a 00:13:48.16\00:13:52.46 tribute to a very important man. Pastor Cata Arangaso became one 00:13:52.49\00:13:58.57 of the greatest missionaries in the entire Pacific Ocean. 00:13:58.60\00:14:02.97 Thank you boys and girls. 00:14:03.00\00:14:04.41 Hi boys and girls. Welcome to our Bible study. If you haven't 00:14:04.44\00:14:08.21 got your Bibles ready yet, go get them now so you can follow 00:14:08.24\00:14:12.51 along with us. Bethany, can you please say a prayer for us? 00:14:12.58\00:14:16.45 Yeah. Dear Father, please send your Holy Spirit to us so we can 00:14:16.48\00:14:20.32 understand what we are reading in Your word. We love you Lord, 00:14:20.36\00:14:24.13 we surrender our hearts to you. In Jesus' name. Amen. 00:14:24.16\00:14:27.76 Amen. Now Kate there was a character in the Bible that we 00:14:27.83\00:14:31.37 studied about last Sabbath. Who was that? Samson. Samson. And 00:14:31.40\00:14:34.90 did he live a life that God intended him to live? Nope. 00:14:34.94\00:14:37.81 No, he didn't. But eventually God got his heart so in the end 00:14:37.84\00:14:42.51 it turned out okay. Today we're going to look at a new book in 00:14:42.54\00:14:47.15 the Bible, the book of Ruth. And we're going to start our 00:14:47.18\00:14:50.49 reading off with you Anna. Can you please start in Ruth 1:1-2. 00:14:50.52\00:14:55.19 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled that there 00:14:55.22\00:14:59.63 was a famine in the land and a certain man of Bethlehem, Judah, 00:14:59.69\00:15:03.47 went to dwell in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his 00:15:03.50\00:15:07.90 two sons. The name of the man was Elimelech, the name of his 00:15:07.94\00:15:11.54 wife was Naomi and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and 00:15:11.57\00:15:15.78 Chilion-Ephrathites of Bethlehem in Judah. And they went to the 00:15:15.81\00:15:19.98 country of Moab and remained there. 00:15:20.02\00:15:21.62 Thanks Anna. So we have this family who were living in 00:15:21.65\00:15:26.05 Bethlehem, Judah and because of a famine they decide to leave 00:15:26.09\00:15:29.86 Judah and go to Moab. Now Aunt Cecily can you show us that on 00:15:29.89\00:15:33.63 the map please. There's Bethlehem there and we think 00:15:33.66\00:15:36.67 that they probably went that way and down into Moab. Thank you. 00:15:36.70\00:15:42.00 Okay. Let's continue reading. Matthew can you please read 00:15:42.04\00:15:45.41 Ruth 1:3. 00:15:45.44\00:15:46.91 Then Elimelech, Naomi's husband, died, and she was left, and her 00:15:46.94\00:15:51.75 Mmm. And we don't know when this happened, whether it was just 00:15:51.78\00:15:56.25 soon as they arrived or a little time later. Let's see what 00:15:56.28\00:16:00.76 happens next. Bethany, can you read Ruth 1:4. 00:16:00.79\00:16:05.36 Now they took wives of the women of Moab; the name of the 00:16:05.39\00:16:10.17 one was Orpah and the name of the other Ruth and they dwelt 00:16:10.20\00:16:14.90 there about 10 years. 00:16:14.94\00:16:16.60 Mmm. So after Elimelech dies Naomi and his sons choose to 00:16:16.64\00:16:20.34 stay in Moab. They don't go home they choose to stay and they 00:16:20.38\00:16:24.05 stay for 10 years and they married Moabite women. Okay, 00:16:24.08\00:16:29.52 Kate, can you please read Ruth 1:5. 00:16:29.55\00:16:30.89 Then both Mahlon and Chilion also died; so the woman survived 00:16:30.92\00:16:35.06 her two sons and her husband. 00:16:35.09\00:16:37.39 Thanks Kate. So has Naomi had a good time in Moab? No, she 00:16:37.43\00:16:42.83 hasn't. She's lost her husband and she's lost her two sons. But 00:16:42.86\00:16:47.17 you know what? Naomi finds out that the famine in Bethlehem is 00:16:47.20\00:16:51.44 over and she wants to return. So not long into their journey 00:16:51.47\00:16:55.54 Naomi decides that it would better if her daughters-in-laws 00:16:55.58\00:16:59.21 stayed in their own country and then they'd be free to marry 00:16:59.25\00:17:02.88 again. J J can you please read Ruth 1:14-15. 00:17:02.92\00:17:09.06 Then they lifted up their voices and wept again and Orpah kissed 00:17:09.12\00:17:13.16 her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her and she said, Look 00:17:13.19\00:17:20.17 your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods. 00:17:20.20\00:17:27.18 Return after your sister-in-law. 00:17:27.21\00:17:28.64 Thanks J J. So Orpah chooses to stay in her country but Ruth 00:17:28.68\00:17:33.88 doesn't want to stay in Moab. Let's continue reading and see 00:17:33.92\00:17:39.05 what she says. Aunt Cecily can you please Ruth 1:16-17. 00:17:39.09\00:17:43.96 But Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave you or to turn back 00:17:43.99\00:17:48.96 from following after you. For wherever you go I will go and 00:17:49.00\00:17:53.90 wherever you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, 00:17:53.94\00:18:00.11 and your God my God. Where you die I will die and there will I 00:18:00.14\00:18:05.41 be buried. The Lord do so to me and more also if anything but 00:18:05.45\00:18:10.69 death parts you and me. 00:18:10.72\00:18:13.82 Ruth showed great faith and reached out and believed Naomi's 00:18:13.86\00:18:18.39 God. Anna, can you please read Ruth 1:19. 00:18:18.43\00:18:21.30 Now the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem and it 00:18:21.33\00:18:25.37 happened when they had come to Bethlehem that all the city was 00:18:25.40\00:18:30.31 excited because of them and the women said, Is this Naomi? 00:18:30.34\00:18:34.38 Mmm. So we're happy to have Naomi back. Yes. They were, 00:18:34.41\00:18:38.38 weren't they. And they arrived at harvest time. Okay, Matthew 00:18:38.41\00:18:44.75 can you please read Ruth 2:3-5. 00:18:44.79\00:18:47.99 Then she left and went and gleaned in the field after the 00:18:48.02\00:18:50.89 reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field 00:18:50.93\00:18:54.36 that belonged to Boaz who was of the family of Elimelech. Now 00:18:54.40\00:18:58.13 behold Boaz came from Bethlehem and said to the reapers, The 00:18:58.17\00:19:01.84 Lord be with you. And they answered him, The Lord bless 00:19:01.87\00:19:05.81 you. Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the 00:19:05.87\00:19:09.78 reapers, Whose young woman is this? 00:19:09.81\00:19:14.15 Mmm. So Ruth decides, with Naomi's permission, to go and 00:19:14.18\00:19:17.65 find some grain in someone's field. Boaz turns up at his 00:19:17.69\00:19:20.86 property to see how his reapers and harvesters are going and 00:19:20.89\00:19:24.49 notices a strange woman in his field and wonders who it is. 00:19:24.53\00:19:28.10 Bethany, can you please read Ruth 2:6-7. 00:19:28.13\00:19:34.40 So the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered and said 00:19:34.44\00:19:36.81 It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from 00:19:36.84\00:19:40.38 the country of Moab. And she said, Please let me glean and 00:19:40.41\00:19:43.85 gather after the reapers among the sheaves. So she came and has 00:19:43.88\00:19:47.08 continued from morning until now, though she rested a little 00:19:47.12\00:19:50.29 in the house. 00:19:50.32\00:19:51.72 Mmm. So let's see what Boaz says to her. Kate, can you read 00:19:51.75\00:19:54.59 Ruth 2:8-9 please. 00:19:54.62\00:19:56.56 Then Boaz said to Ruth, You will listen, my daughter, will 00:19:56.59\00:20:02.50 not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, 00:20:02.53\00:20:07.34 but stay close by my women. Let your eyes be on the field which 00:20:07.37\00:20:11.61 they reap and go after them. Have I not commanded the young 00:20:11.64\00:20:17.15 men not to touch you and when you are thirsty go to the 00:20:17.18\00:20:20.88 vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn. 00:20:20.92\00:20:24.55 Thanks Kate. So Boaz wants to make sure that Ruth is safe and 00:20:24.62\00:20:29.29 wants her to come to his field only so he can make sure that 00:20:29.32\00:20:33.96 she's not harmed. Caleb, can you read Ruth 2:10-12? 00:20:34.00\00:20:38.33 So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground and said to 00:20:38.37\00:20:43.54 him, Why have I found favor in your eyes that you should take 00:20:43.57\00:20:47.88 notice of me since I am a foreigner. And Boaz answered and 00:20:47.91\00:20:52.15 said to her, It has been fully reported to me all that you have 00:20:52.18\00:20:57.32 done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband 00:20:57.35\00:21:01.69 and how you have left your father and your mother and the 00:21:01.72\00:21:05.93 land of your birth and have come to a people whom you did 00:21:05.96\00:21:10.10 not know before. The Lord repay your work and a full reward be 00:21:10.13\00:21:15.17 given you by the Lord God of Israel. Under His wings you have 00:21:15.20\00:21:20.24 come for refuge. 00:21:20.28\00:21:21.61 Thanks Caleb. So Ruth's kindness to her mother-in-law and the 00:21:21.64\00:21:26.01 sacrifice that she made in leaving her old life behind and 00:21:26.05\00:21:29.98 in following Naomi's God was very well known in Bethlehem. 00:21:30.02\00:21:33.92 God wants people just like Ruth to come to the knowledge of Him. 00:21:33.96\00:21:38.86 Let's look at our Torch Light that Mrs. White shines some 00:21:38.89\00:21:42.53 light on this verse that we've read. Thanks Auntie Cecily. 00:21:42.56\00:21:46.13 No distinction on account of 00:21:46.17\00:21:49.80 nationality, race or caste is 00:21:49.87\00:21:53.44 recognized by God. He is the maker of all mankind. All men 00:21:53.48\00:21:58.98 are of one family by creation and all are one through 00:21:59.01\00:22:04.45 redemption. Christ came to demolish every wall of petition 00:22:04.49\00:22:07.89 to through open every compartment of the temple 00:22:07.92\00:22:12.63 courts that every soul may have free access to God. His love is 00:22:12.69\00:22:18.87 so broad, so deep, so full that it penetrates every way. It 00:22:18.93\00:22:24.04 lifts out of Satan's influence those who have been deluded by 00:22:24.07\00:22:28.64 his deceptions and places them within reach of the throne of 00:22:28.68\00:22:34.12 God, the throne encircled by the rainbow of promise. In Christ 00:22:34.18\00:22:39.59 there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free. 00:22:39.62\00:22:43.53 Wow. Thanks Auntie Cecily. God is so good! We're all going 00:22:43.56\00:22:46.36 read our memory verse together. Can you all go back to Ruth 1:16 00:22:46.39\00:22:50.20 Let's read that together. 00:22:50.23\00:22:52.37 For wherever you go I will go, and wherever you lodge I will 00:22:52.40\00:22:59.71 lodge. Your people shall be my people and your God my God. 00:22:59.74\00:23:05.88 So Ruth chose by faith to believe in God. Let's find out 00:23:05.91\00:23:10.69 what happens next in the story. Now Naomi wanted to do a bit 00:23:10.75\00:23:15.42 of matchmaking and secure Ruth's future. Let's read what she does 00:23:15.49\00:23:20.53 Matthew, can you read Ruth 2:3-5 for us please. 00:23:20.56\00:23:25.43 Now Boaz, whose young women you were with, is he not our 00:23:25.47\00:23:31.24 relative? In fact he's winnowing barley today at the threshing 00:23:31.27\00:23:35.11 floor. Therefore, wash yourself and anoint yourself, put on your 00:23:35.14\00:23:38.98 best garment and go down to the threshing floor. But do not 00:23:39.01\00:23:42.12 make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and 00:23:42.18\00:23:45.32 drinking. Then it shall be that when he lies down that you shall 00:23:45.35\00:23:49.72 notice the place where he lies. You shall go in, uncover his 00:23:49.79\00:23:52.79 feet and lie down and he will tell you what you should do. 00:23:52.86\00:23:55.86 And she said to her, All that you say to me, I will do. 00:23:55.90\00:24:00.54 Mmm. So Ruth did what her mother-in-law instructed and 00:24:00.57\00:24:04.01 let's see what happens next. Bethany, you're going to read 00:24:04.04\00:24:07.41 Ruth 3:8-11. 00:24:07.44\00:24:08.78 Now it happened at midnight that the man was startled and turned 00:24:08.81\00:24:12.41 himself and there a woman was lying at his feet. And he said, 00:24:12.45\00:24:16.65 Who are you? So she answered. I am Ruth your maidservant. Take 00:24:16.69\00:24:20.76 your maidservant under your wing for you are a close relative. 00:24:20.79\00:24:24.49 Then he said, Blessed are you of the Lord, my daughter, for you 00:24:24.53\00:24:27.90 have showed more kindness at the end that at the beginning in 00:24:27.93\00:24:31.50 that you did not go after young men, whether poor or rich. And 00:24:31.53\00:24:35.57 now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you 00:24:35.60\00:24:38.31 you request for all the people of my town know that you are 00:24:38.34\00:24:41.04 a virtuous woman. 00:24:41.08\00:24:42.44 Mmm. So really Ruth proposes to Boaz and if we were to read 00:24:42.48\00:24:46.28 chapter four of Ruth, it tells us that Boaz had to do a bit of 00:24:46.31\00:24:50.59 negotiation with the elders of the town, but Boaz sorts it all 00:24:50.62\00:24:54.29 out and Boaz marries Ruth and they have a baby and they 00:24:54.32\00:24:59.13 call him Obed who was the grandfather of David. Naomi is 00:24:59.16\00:25:04.03 blessed as her sadness of losing her husband and her sons is 00:25:04.07\00:25:08.87 then turned to joy as she celebrates the birth of her 00:25:08.90\00:25:11.87 grandson. Thank you boys and girls for reading along with us. 00:25:11.91\00:25:14.74 We have a devotional available that goes into more depth than 00:25:14.78\00:25:17.58 what we studied today. Are you ready children? 00:26:12.23\00:26:13.57 Let's read together. 00:26:13.60\00:26:14.94 Guess what, Auntie Nat. Worship time's nearly over again. 00:26:31.95\00:26:35.19 What, already? Our time goes by so quickly. Caleb, what did you 00:26:35.22\00:26:39.09 learn today about the King? 00:26:39.13\00:26:41.10 I learnt that Jesus will protect us and keep us safe. 00:26:41.13\00:26:43.50 Yes He certainly will. All we have to do is give our heart 00:26:43.53\00:26:46.87 to Jesus. Aunt Cecily can we sing our blessing song to the 00:26:46.90\00:26:50.21 children at home. 00:26:50.24\00:26:51.57 Yes, that's a great idea. Do you want to turn around girls 00:26:51.61\00:26:53.78 and boys and we can sing the song. 00:26:53.81\00:26:57.58 ¤May God bless you and keep you and fill your heart with love¤ 00:26:57.61\00:27:11.09 ¤May God guide and protect you and watch you from above¤ 00:27:11.16\00:27:21.44 ¤As Sabbath after Sabbath we greet the day of rest¤ 00:27:21.50\00:27:32.01 ¤The day the King of glory has sanctified and blessed¤ 00:27:32.05\00:27:42.56 ¤Good bye my friends till we meet again¤ 00:27:42.59\00:27:46.59 ¤For another day with the King¤ 00:27:46.63\00:27:52.63 Good bye. See you again next Sabbath. 00:27:52.67\00:27:57.74 ¤ ¤ 00:27:57.77\00:28:40.12
