Do you know that this is a great time the reflect on 00:01:35.59\00:01:38.33 our week and 00:01:38.36\00:01:39.69 count the many blessings that God has sent us. 00:01:39.73\00:01:42.33 Jameeka you have a blessing to tell us. 00:01:42.36\00:01:44.63 I'm glad that Jesus died on the cross for us and that has given 00:01:44.67\00:01:49.17 me a chance to be part of His family. 00:01:49.20\00:01:50.54 That's beautiful Jameeka. Thank you for sharing that with us. 00:01:50.57\00:01:52.51 And Auntie Cecily, you have a blessing to share with us 00:01:52.54\00:01:55.41 as well. 00:01:55.44\00:01:56.78 Yes. Remember last time we met we spoke a great deal about the 00:01:56.81\00:02:01.02 Sabbath. Well now I want to share with you all about the 00:02:01.05\00:02:04.95 character of God who made the Sabbath. Today I want to talk 00:02:04.99\00:02:09.19 with you about how God is our deliverer. Later on we're 00:02:09.22\00:02:13.90 going to study in the Bible how God chose Moses to do a 00:02:13.93\00:02:18.27 special job for Him. Through a series of events God prepared 00:02:18.30\00:02:22.60 Moses to work for Him in delivering His people out of the 00:02:22.64\00:02:27.18 cruel slavery in Egypt. Psalms also tells us that God is our 00:02:27.21\00:02:31.68 rock, our fortress and our deliverer. Our God is mighty 00:02:31.71\00:02:37.25 to save. God also delivered us from death by sending His Son 00:02:37.29\00:02:42.32 Jesus to die on the cross for us so that we could live 00:02:42.36\00:02:45.79 eternally in heaven with him. What an amazing God we have 00:02:45.83\00:02:50.07 don't we. He cares for us so much. God is our deliverer. 00:02:50.10\00:02:54.87 Amen. Thanks Auntie Cecily for sharing that with us. Do you 00:02:54.90\00:02:59.57 another way that we can worship God on the Sabbath is to worship 00:02:59.64\00:03:02.28 Him in song. And we've asked Pastor Rick here with us. 00:03:02.31\00:03:06.01 Thanks Pastor Rick. 00:03:06.05\00:03:07.38 Thanks Auntie Nat. Welcome 00:03:07.42\00:03:09.25 children. I'm thinking we might sing Rejoice in the Lord Always. 00:03:09.28\00:03:13.76 What so you think? 00:03:13.79\00:03:15.12 Pastor Rick, can we please sing This Is the Day? 00:04:00.94\00:04:05.84 That's a Lovely song, yes, let's do it. 00:04:05.87\00:04:09.28 Pastor Rick, could we please sing God Is Our Best Friend? 00:05:14.81\00:05:18.41 He is our best friend. Let's sing it. It's a wonderful song. 00:05:18.45\00:05:22.05 ¤He is so good to me; God is my best friend¤ 00:06:47.34\00:06:55.74 Thanks Pastor Rick. It's so good to praise God in song. 00:06:55.81\00:07:00.98 Dr. John has a blessing to share with us now as well. 00:07:01.02\00:07:06.15 Let's go and see what that is. 00:07:06.19\00:07:07.76 Hello boys and girls. My name is Dr. John Hammond and welcome to 00:07:07.79\00:07:18.07 Sunnyside, the Australian Home of Mrs. Ellen G. White. I have 00:07:18.10\00:07:20.90 some interesting stories for you. Just come inside and see. 00:07:20.94\00:07:26.71 You're going to like this. 00:07:26.74\00:07:28.11 Hello boys and girls, I'm Dr. John and we've got another 00:07:28.14\00:07:34.45 story about Ellen and the years that she spent as a wonderful 00:07:34.48\00:07:38.85 prophet of God. You know when you were born you know what the 00:07:38.89\00:07:43.66 first thing your mom did? I'll bet she counted your fingers 00:07:43.69\00:07:48.36 and she counted your toes and she made sure that you had a 00:07:48.40\00:07:52.83 nose. And then she held you and she would have said, I 00:07:52.87\00:07:57.24 wonder what this little baby girl or little baby boy is going 00:07:57.27\00:08:01.78 to be like in life. You know she had sons. She had Henry, and 00:08:01.81\00:08:06.68 she had Edson, and after a while a little boy was born and she 00:08:06.72\00:08:12.59 called him Willie. And Willie, he was a live wire little kid. 00:08:12.62\00:08:17.69 He got into everything. And finally one day they had a girl 00:08:17.73\00:08:22.43 called Jennie who was looking after him and she was trying to 00:08:22.46\00:08:26.27 get things done and she was mopping the floor. Now you look 00:08:26.30\00:08:30.77 at this old fashioned bucket. And when she finished it was 00:08:30.81\00:08:36.58 full of very dirty water. And she went out to get some fire 00:08:36.61\00:08:41.28 wood just for one minute. But you know, I know a little boy 00:08:41.32\00:08:46.55 who died who drowned in that much water. And when she came 00:08:46.59\00:08:51.39 in all was silent. She couldn't hear Willie when normally he 00:08:51.43\00:08:56.16 was chattering. He was not quite two years of age. Where's Willie 00:08:56.20\00:09:00.80 where's Willie and she went inside and Willie had his head 00:09:00.84\00:09:04.61 in the bucket. And his little arm was hanging out. And she 00:09:04.64\00:09:08.38 picked him up and she started to scream. Willie's dead, Willie's 00:09:08.41\00:09:12.85 dead, Willie's drowned. And Ellen, who was working upstairs, 00:09:12.88\00:09:16.45 she came running down the stairs. What's the matter, 00:09:16.48\00:09:20.06 what's the matter. He's drowned, he's drowned, he's drowned Mrs. 00:09:20.09\00:09:22.39 White. Go and 00:09:22.42\00:09:23.76 get the doctor. And she rushed him outside, pulled him out of 00:09:23.79\00:09:27.06 the bucket. He had this horrible gray water coming out of his 00:09:27.10\00:09:30.70 nose and mouth. She rolled him around on the grass. She cut off 00:09:30.73\00:09:34.37 all his clothes and she rolled him on the ground. They were 00:09:34.40\00:09:38.57 saying what's she doing that for he's dead. You know after a 00:09:38.61\00:09:42.98 while she got him up and a little bit of water came out of 00:09:43.01\00:09:47.58 his mouth, dirty, gray bucket water. And she rolled him on 00:09:47.62\00:09:52.09 the grass again and then after a while she saw his little mouth 00:09:52.12\00:09:57.63 just start to quiver. And Jennie was crying he's dead, he's dead, 00:09:57.69\00:10:04.00 he's dead. And all of a sudden whooosh, all the water came up 00:10:04.03\00:10:09.84 and Willie lived. And you know they watched him very carefully. 00:10:09.87\00:10:13.58 And when he grew he was such a mischievous boy. He got into all 00:10:13.61\00:10:17.61 sorts of things. I'm sitting on a rocking chair and one day they 00:10:17.65\00:10:21.92 built a great big hole in the ground called a cistern and they 00:10:21.95\00:10:25.35 put all the water in there. But before the water was in there 00:10:25.39\00:10:29.16 there then men dug and Willie used to watch them. He used to 00:10:29.19\00:10:32.66 sit in his rocking chair right next to the well and he 00:10:32.69\00:10:36.83 watched them. Oh, he was so interested. And one day he saw 00:10:36.87\00:10:40.44 the heads getting lower and lower and lower as the hole got 00:10:40.47\00:10:43.57 deeper and deeper and deeper until he couldn't see them 00:10:43.61\00:10:46.64 anymore, they were so far under the ground. Boys and girls, he 00:10:46.68\00:10:52.38 rocked forward and he rocked back, he rocked forward once 00:10:52.41\00:10:54.92 once more and the whole rocking chair with Willie fell into it 00:10:54.98\00:10:58.85 and he went down Aaaaaa Daddy. And Daddy White heard it. 00:10:58.89\00:11:05.56 He came running out. He threw a piece of wood across the cistern 00:11:05.59\00:11:10.17 He jumped and held onto it and he dropped right to the bottom 00:11:10.20\00:11:14.10 of the cistern. And there was poor little Willie, upside down, 00:11:14.14\00:11:18.97 with the rocking chair on top of him. And they pulled him out. 00:11:19.01\00:11:24.45 Wow! He survived that. You know, he liked doing lots of things. 00:11:24.48\00:11:29.88 How many of you have chickens at home? A couple. He wanted 00:11:29.92\00:11:33.66 chickens and one day when Mommy, Ellen White, was away he bought 00:11:33.69\00:11:37.79 some chickens. And he had maybe 10 chickens and he put them in 00:11:37.86\00:11:43.73 little cage like that. Mommy had a dream. An angel spoke to her 00:11:43.77\00:11:50.71 and said, Look, your chicks are too close together. Let them 00:11:50.74\00:11:57.68 out. Let them have a good time. Now children, I've got some eggs 00:11:57.71\00:12:02.88 here and one egg is no good because this is an egg that is 00:12:02.95\00:12:07.46 formed in a cage full of chickens that cannot even move. 00:12:07.49\00:12:11.36 They can't even sit down and lay eggs because they're all 00:12:11.39\00:12:15.23 standing up and we don't have those eggs even 00:12:15.26\00:12:20.00 though you buy them in the super market. You buy the eggs that 00:12:20.04\00:12:25.37 Ellen told Willie how to make grow and they were free 00:12:25.41\00:12:30.38 range eggs where the chickens run around very happily 00:12:30.41\00:12:35.35 Hi boys and girls. Happy Sabbath Welcome to our Bible study. 00:12:35.38\00:12:38.55 If you haven't got your Bibles ready, go and get them now so 00:12:39.19\00:12:41.52 you can follow along with us. Auntie Cecily would you like to 00:12:41.56\00:12:43.89 say a prayer to open our study? 00:12:43.93\00:12:45.79 Yes. Dear heavenly Father, thank you for our Bibles. We pray that 00:12:45.86\00:12:50.83 you will help the boys and girls to understand the things that we 00:12:50.87\00:12:56.30 read in Your word. And we just pray that you would grant us to 00:12:56.37\00:13:01.78 have Jesus in our hearts as we study. 00:13:01.81\00:13:03.35 We pray in Jesus' name, Amen. 00:13:03.38\00:13:06.08 Amen. Today we're going to start looking at the book of Exodus. 00:13:06.11\00:13:09.95 Remember the last time that we met we went through the book of 00:13:09.98\00:13:13.82 Genesis? That was a big study wasn't it? And we left when 00:13:13.86\00:13:17.39 Joseph's entire family comes down to live in the land of 00:13:17.43\00:13:20.60 Egypt. Well Exodus, children at home, is the very next book 00:13:20.63\00:13:24.70 after Genesis. And we're going to continue our study to find 00:13:24.73\00:13:28.80 out what happened to the descendants of Joseph and his 00:13:28.84\00:13:32.07 family. And Elijah you're going to tell us from our Remnant 00:13:32.11\00:13:36.01 Young Scholar Study Bible who wrote the book of Exodus. 00:13:36.04\00:13:39.88 Ah, the book was written by Moses. 00:13:39.91\00:13:41.28 Moses. And did Moses write Genesis as well? Yes. 00:13:41.35\00:13:44.42 He did didn't he? Okay. All right. Ella you're going to do 00:13:44.45\00:13:48.36 our first reading for today and we are going to start in 00:13:48.39\00:13:52.26 Exodus 1:1. 00:13:52.29\00:13:55.00 Now these are the names of the children of Israel who came to 00:13:55.06\00:13:59.07 Egypt; each man and his household came with Jacob: 00:13:59.10\00:14:01.87 Rueben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin; 00:14:01.90\00:14:08.48 Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. All those who were descendants 00:14:08.54\00:14:15.08 of Jacob were seventy persons (for Joseph was in Egypt 00:14:15.12\00:14:19.59 already). And Joseph died, all his brothers, and that 00:14:19.62\00:14:23.73 generation. But the children of Israel were fruitful and 00:14:23.76\00:14:27.76 increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; 00:14:27.83\00:14:32.10 and the land was filled with them. 00:14:32.13\00:14:33.74 Mmm. So how many of Joseph's family came down to Egypt 00:14:33.77\00:14:38.01 during the famine? What did we just read? Seventy. There were 00:14:38.04\00:14:42.28 were seventy, I think, Ella just read, there were seventy. And in 00:14:42.31\00:14:46.08 verse 7 that Ella read said that they increased abundantly. We're 00:14:46.11\00:14:49.85 going to find out more about that later. Now Nick, you're 00:14:49.88\00:14:52.55 going to read our next verse, Exodus 1:8-14. 00:14:52.59\00:14:57.73 Now there arose a new king over Egypt who did not know Joseph 00:14:57.76\00:15:02.96 and he said to his people, Look the people of the children of 00:15:03.03\00:15:08.20 Israel are more and mightier than we. Come let us deal 00:15:08.24\00:15:12.37 shrewdly with them lest they multiply, lest they multiply, 00:15:12.41\00:15:15.94 and and it happen, in the event of war that they also join our 00:15:15.98\00:15:20.75 enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land. 00:15:20.78\00:15:25.15 Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with 00:15:25.19\00:15:29.49 their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, 00:15:29.52\00:15:33.03 Pithom and Raamses. But the more they afflicted them the more 00:15:33.06\00:15:38.37 they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the 00:15:38.40\00:15:41.80 children of Israel. So the Egyptians made the children of 00:15:41.84\00:15:45.71 Israel serve with rigor. And they made their lives bitter 00:15:45.77\00:15:49.84 with hard bondage-in mortar, in brick and in all manner of 00:15:49.88\00:15:53.92 service in the field. All their service in which they made them 00:15:53.95\00:15:58.75 serve was with rigor. 00:15:58.79\00:16:01.46 Mmm. So the new king chose not to recognize Joseph's now huge 00:16:01.52\00:16:06.16 extended family as a special people. Instead of being happy 00:16:06.19\00:16:10.50 for them to be in his country he feared them because he was 00:16:10.53\00:16:14.80 worried about their big numbers that they might make war against 00:16:14.84\00:16:19.47 him. But we just read that the king made the Israelites slaves 00:16:19.51\00:16:23.58 to build his cities. Do you think that's a good thing. No. 00:16:23.61\00:16:27.22 No. It would have been pretty horrible. Okay, Elijah, let's 00:16:27.28\00:16:30.85 read Exodus 1:15-21. 00:16:30.89\00:16:33.39 Then the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives of whom the 00:16:33.42\00:16:37.76 name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he 00:16:37.79\00:16:42.10 said, When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew 00:16:42.13\00:16:45.27 women, and see them on the birth stools, if it is a son then you 00:16:45.30\00:16:48.70 shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, then she shall live. 00:16:48.74\00:16:52.27 But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt 00:16:52.31\00:16:56.48 commanded them, but saved the male children alive. So the king 00:16:56.51\00:16:59.98 called for the midwives and said to them, Why have you done this 00:17:00.02\00:17:03.49 thing and saved the male children alive? And the midwives 00:17:03.52\00:17:06.65 said to Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not like the 00:17:06.69\00:17:10.03 Egyptian women, for they are lively and give birth before the 00:17:10.06\00:17:13.76 midwives come to them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives 00:17:13.80\00:17:17.77 and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was 00:17:17.80\00:17:21.84 because the midwives feared God that He provided households for 00:17:21.87\00:17:25.87 them. 00:17:25.91\00:17:27.24 Mmm. So the king's still worried He thought by making the 00:17:27.28\00:17:31.05 Israelites slaves and making them work really hard that they 00:17:31.08\00:17:34.68 wouldn't keep having children. But they still did and their 00:17:34.72\00:17:37.82 numbers grew. And he wanted the midwives who help the mothers 00:17:37.85\00:17:41.09 when they were having their babies to kill the baby boys. 00:17:41.12\00:17:44.59 That's pretty awful isn't it. Not a very nice thing. It was a 00:17:44.63\00:17:48.00 terrible thing the king wanted to do. But the midwives, those 00:17:48.03\00:17:51.63 beautiful brave midwives refused to do it and God blessed those 00:17:51.70\00:17:55.27 midwives for doing the right thing. And God blessed the 00:17:55.30\00:17:58.84 children of Israel and their numbers continued to grow. 00:17:58.87\00:18:03.01 Kate, you're going to read for us please Exodus 1:22. 00:18:03.04\00:18:07.12 So Pharaoh commanded all his people saying, Every son who is 00:18:07.15\00:18:11.02 born you shall cast into the river and every daughter you 00:18:11.05\00:18:14.92 shall save alive. 00:18:14.96\00:18:16.29 Oh no. Now the king, also known as the Pharaoh, wants all the 00:18:16.32\00:18:20.60 baby boys to be thrown into the Nile river. That's pretty awful 00:18:20.63\00:18:25.43 isn't it? What does it say about the baby girls though? 00:18:25.47\00:18:28.50 Yes they were able to live. That's pretty good isn't it? 00:18:28.54\00:18:33.11 Okay, so Ben can you please read Exodus 2:1-6. 00:18:33.14\00:18:39.15 And the man of the house of Levi went and took a wife, a daughter 00:18:39.18\00:18:43.08 of Levi. So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw 00:18:43.12\00:18:46.55 that he was a beautiful child, she hid him for three months. 00:18:46.59\00:18:49.69 But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of 00:18:49.72\00:18:53.26 bulrushes for him, filled it with asphalt and pitch, put 00:18:53.29\00:18:56.67 the child in it and laid it in the reeds by the river's bank. 00:18:56.70\00:19:00.44 And his sister stood afar off to know what would be done to 00:19:00.47\00:19:04.21 him. Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at 00:19:04.24\00:19:07.88 the river and her maidens walked alongside the river. And when 00:19:07.91\00:19:11.61 she saw the ark among the reeds she sent her maid to get it and 00:19:11.65\00:19:15.65 she opened it she saw the child and behold the baby wept so she 00:19:15.68\00:19:19.65 had compassion on him and said, This is one of the Hebrew 00:19:19.69\00:19:22.39 children. 00:19:22.42\00:19:23.76 So we find out later in the Bible that Moses' parents were 00:19:23.79\00:19:28.50 names Amram and Jochebed. And they decided not to let anyone 00:19:28.56\00:19:32.70 know that they had had a baby boy because what happened to 00:19:32.73\00:19:36.84 baby boys? 00:19:36.87\00:19:38.21 They'd be thrown into the river. But there is only so long you 00:19:38.24\00:19:42.14 can hide a baby boy. You've got a new baby boy haven't you Nick? 00:19:42.18\00:19:47.28 Yeah. Can they get a bit noisy? Yep. Yeah it can. 00:19:47.32\00:19:50.79 And Jochebed decided 00:19:50.82\00:19:52.39 to make a waterproof little boat and place Moses amongst the 00:19:52.42\00:19:56.12 reeds in the river bank. And who had to watch baby Moses? 00:19:56.19\00:20:00.03 His sister. His sister who we know later on to be Miriam. 00:20:00.06\00:20:04.07 And someone found Moses in that little boat. Who was it? 00:20:04.10\00:20:08.07 Pharaoh's daughter. 00:20:08.10\00:20:09.44 Pharaoh's daughter. You know God has a pretty good sense of 00:20:09.47\00:20:11.84 humor. You know he was the one that made the rule and his own 00:20:11.87\00:20:15.44 daughter saved the baby. That's pretty good isn't. God always 00:20:15.48\00:20:19.35 has a plan. I think that perhaps those angels guided the king's 00:20:19.41\00:20:23.75 daughter right to the spot where Moses was. Okay, now we're going 00:20:23.79\00:20:28.12 to go to the book of Hebrews because we're going to read our 00:20:28.16\00:20:30.63 memory verse and you've got it marked there in your Bibles. 00:20:30.66\00:20:34.26 So children at home, you go to Hebrews 11:23, which is in the 00:20:34.30\00:20:37.67 New Testament. And we're going to read a very special verse. 00:20:37.70\00:20:41.57 Okay, let's all read that together. 00:20:41.60\00:20:43.77 By faith Moses when he was born was hidden three months by his 00:20:43.81\00:20:49.84 parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child and they 00:20:49.88\00:20:55.78 were not afraid of the king's command. 00:20:55.82\00:20:58.22 Do you know, I think Moses' parents knew that God had a very 00:20:58.25\00:21:02.82 special job for their baby Moses to do when he grew up and by 00:21:02.86\00:21:06.86 complete faith they decided to keep him a secret so he wouldn't 00:21:06.90\00:21:11.17 be thrown in the river. At the peril of their own lives they 00:21:11.20\00:21:15.20 decided to take this great step of faith. Jochebed knew that 00:21:15.24\00:21:19.51 Moses had been preserved because God had a great work for him to 00:21:19.54\00:21:23.18 do. Jochebed also knew there would come a time when she would 00:21:23.21\00:21:26.38 have to give up Moses over to the princess to go live in the 00:21:26.41\00:21:30.39 palace. So Moses mother taught him as much as she could about 00:21:30.42\00:21:34.69 God and not to worship the idols that the Egyptians worshipped. 00:21:34.72\00:21:38.99 And when Moses was living in the palace. He was highly 00:21:39.03\00:21:41.76 educated to prepare him for leadership in the Egyptian court 00:21:41.83\00:21:48.07 So he was going to be an extremely important person. 00:21:48.10\00:21:50.87 And Ella you have an important verse to read for us in 00:21:50.91\00:21:53.68 Acts 7:22 00:21:53.71\00:21:55.14 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and 00:21:55.18\00:22:00.22 was mighty in words and deeds. 00:22:00.25\00:22:01.78 Wow. So Moses became a very great man. Let's continue to 00:22:01.82\00:22:06.49 read our Bibles and see what happens next. Aunt Cecily you're 00:22:06.55\00:22:09.32 going to read for us now. Exodus 2:11-15. 00:22:09.36\00:22:13.73 Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, 00:22:13.76\00:22:20.84 that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens and 00:22:20.87\00:22:25.97 he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. 00:22:26.01\00:22:30.48 So he looked this way and that way and when he saw no one, 00:22:30.51\00:22:35.38 he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. And when he 00:22:35.45\00:22:40.16 went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, 00:22:40.19\00:22:45.56 and he said to the one who did the wrong, why are you striking 00:22:45.59\00:22:50.93 your companion. Then he said, Who made you a prince and a 00:22:50.97\00:22:55.57 judge over us. Do you intend to kill me as you killed the 00:22:55.60\00:23:00.11 Egyptian? Do Moses feared and said Surely this thing is known. 00:23:00.14\00:23:06.18 When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses 00:23:06.21\00:23:11.25 but Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land 00:23:11.29\00:23:16.26 of Midian and he sat down by a well. 00:23:16.29\00:23:20.03 Wow. So it sounds like things have drastically changed. Let's 00:23:20.10\00:23:23.70 look at our Torch Light, Mrs. White's writings, to see what 00:23:23.73\00:23:27.04 that shines on the verse for us to understand it more. Now Nick 00:23:27.07\00:23:30.14 you're going to read that for us this time at the bottom of our 00:23:30.17\00:23:32.87 Remnant Young Scholar Study Bible. Can you read that for us 00:23:32.91\00:23:35.61 please. 00:23:35.64\00:23:36.98 In slaying the Egyptian Moses 00:23:37.01\00:23:39.15 had fallen into the same error 00:23:39.18\00:23:41.22 so often committed by his fathers of taking into their own 00:23:41.28\00:23:45.89 hands the work that God had promised to do. It was not God's 00:23:45.92\00:23:50.66 will to deliver his people by warfare as Moses thought, but 00:23:50.69\00:23:55.16 by His own mighty power, that the glory might be ascribed to 00:23:55.23\00:23:59.67 Him alone. 00:23:59.70\00:24:01.47 Mmm. So Moses had made the same mistake just like Abraham and 00:24:01.50\00:24:06.17 Jacob before him of doing things his way instead of God's way. 00:24:06.21\00:24:10.28 We studied a lot about that last time didn't we? God was going 00:24:10.35\00:24:14.92 to deliver them from slavery, not Moses. God used this mistake 00:24:14.95\00:24:18.95 and turned into something good. God had many things he had to 00:24:18.99\00:24:22.92 teach Moses in the land of Midian. And Moses went from a 00:24:22.96\00:24:26.86 prince of Egypt living in a beautiful palace to a shepherd 00:24:26.90\00:24:30.37 dwelling in tents looking after sheep for the next 40 years. 00:24:30.40\00:24:34.10 That's a big change in your life isn't it. God had to teach him 00:24:34.14\00:24:38.44 to obey, be patient and not so angry. Moses had to learn to be 00:24:38.47\00:24:43.04 totally dependent on God and learn to do things God's way. 00:24:43.08\00:24:48.05 Thank you boys and girls for studying with us. Remember God 00:24:48.08\00:24:52.22 loves you very much. Even when you do wrong God still has a 00:24:52.25\00:24:55.86 plan for your life. We have a seven day devotional available 00:24:55.89\00:24:59.46 that expands on what we've studied today. Here's some 00:24:59.49\00:25:02.73 information about how you can access that. 00:25:02.76\00:25:06.47 Hi boys and girls. So _ 00:25:25.55\00:25:29.62 today. 00:25:29.66\00:25:31.29 The Sabbath's an opportunity for us to spend time getting to know 00:25:31.33\00:25:36.06 Jesus. One way to get to know Him is to read our Bibles. We 00:25:36.10\00:25:39.93 want to encourage you to read your Bibles, not only on the 00:25:39.97\00:25:43.61 Sabbath day but every day. Auntie Nat. What are we going 00:25:43.64\00:25:47.21 to study about next week? 00:25:47.24\00:25:49.34 Yes, next week we're going to study about how Moses had a very 00:25:49.41\00:25:53.08 important appointment with God. Children have a look in your 00:25:53.11\00:25:56.79 Bibles and see if you can work out what that is. Auntie 00:25:56.82\00:26:00.02 Cecily shall we go over our memory verse with the children 00:26:00.06\00:26:03.22 that we learned in our study today? 00:26:03.26\00:26:04.99 Yes shall we do that. Let's have a look at our board. 00:26:05.03\00:26:07.26 Hebrews 11:23- By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden 00:26:07.30\00:26:15.90 three months by his parents, because they saw he was a 00:26:15.94\00:26:19.81 beautiful child and they were not afraid of the king's 00:26:19.84\00:26:23.65 command. 00:26:23.68\00:26:26.38 Children, are you ready to sing our good bye blessing song to 00:26:26.41\00:26:30.05 the children at home. Okay, let's turn around so we can 00:26:30.09\00:26:34.02 do that. 00:26:34.06\00:26:35.39 ¤May God bless you and keep you and fill your heart with love¤ 00:26:37.86\00:26:52.54 ¤May God guide and protect you and watch you from above¤ 00:26:52.57\00:27:03.18 ¤As Sabbath after Sabbath we greet the day of rest¤ 00:27:03.22\00:27:13.40 ¤The day the King of glory has sanctified and blessed¤ 00:27:13.43\00:27:23.57 ¤Good bye my friend till we meet again¤ 00:27:23.61\00:27:29.24 ¤For another day with the King¤ 00:27:29.28\00:27:36.72 Bye, Good bye, see you next Sabbath. 00:27:36.75\00:27:40.89 ¤ ¤ 00:27:40.92\00:28:21.53
