Hello there. Happy Sabbath. Come on in. We're about to meet with 00:00:02.50\00:00:05.73 the King. 00:00:05.77\00:00:07.87 ¤ ¤ 00:00:07.90\00:00:52.85 Hello, I'm Auntie Nat. It's great that you could all join 00:00:52.88\00:00:55.68 us to meet with the King. We're 00:00:55.72\00:00:57.09 about to open the Sabbath. Come 00:00:57.12\00:00:58.79 and join our worship time together. Hello Auntie Cecily. 00:00:58.82\00:01:02.42 It's great that you could join us today. 00:01:02.46\00:01:04.99 Hello Children. It's great that you came here to worship the 00:01:05.03\00:01:09.40 King. Hello Teddy. It's great to see you here to. Auntie 00:01:09.43\00:01:13.80 Cecily, would you like to say a prayer for us before we open 00:01:13.84\00:01:16.17 our worship time? 00:01:16.20\00:01:18.31 Yes. Dear heavenly Father, thank you for keeping us safely 00:01:18.34\00:01:23.01 throughout the past week. And thank you that the children who 00:01:23.04\00:01:26.82 are watching can join with us in worshipping you. In Jesus' name 00:01:26.85\00:01:31.12 Amen. Amen. 00:01:31.15\00:01:33.12 Do you know this is a great time to reflect on our week and count 00:01:33.15\00:01:37.26 the many blessings that God has given us. Ella, you have a 00:01:37.29\00:01:41.16 blessing to share with us. 00:01:41.20\00:01:43.03 We have Teddy because some of our friends found him on the 00:01:43.06\00:01:46.50 the side of the road and they didn't want to keep him any more 00:01:46.53\00:01:50.67 so they gave us a call and said would you want a rabbit? And mom 00:01:50.71\00:01:56.18 said yes so we got him and now he's here with us and he's a 00:01:56.21\00:02:00.92 very cuddly rabbit and very special to us. 00:02:00.95\00:02:04.15 That's great Ella. Thanks for sharing that with us. Auntie 00:02:04.19\00:02:08.12 Cecily, you have something to share with us as well about the 00:02:08.16\00:02:10.33 Sabbath. 00:02:10.36\00:02:11.69 Yes. Later on we're going to read in our Bibles about how God 00:02:11.73\00:02:15.86 asked Noah to prepare an ark for a special day that was to come. 00:02:15.90\00:02:22.00 So God asks us to prepare each week for the Sabbath. As we've 00:02:22.04\00:02:26.94 studied, the Sabbath is on the seventh day of the week, 00:02:26.98\00:02:30.55 Saturday. Friday, the day before is the day on which we can do 00:02:30.58\00:02:36.45 some preparations. Now all week we should be thinking about the 00:02:36.48\00:02:40.62 coming Sabbath. God wants our time and our thoughts to be 00:02:40.66\00:02:45.69 focused on Him on the Sabbath day. So He wants us to prepare 00:02:45.73\00:02:49.96 ahead of time. This means that we need to try to do all we can 00:02:50.00\00:02:55.57 to get ready for the Sabbath. Exodus 16:23 talks about this 00:02:55.60\00:03:02.91 and how the Sabbath day is a holy day. So we need to prepare 00:03:02.94\00:03:08.28 our food and make sure our clothes are ready for church the 00:03:08.32\00:03:12.82 day before and that we've tidied our rooms and help mom and dad 00:03:12.85\00:03:17.36 to clean the house. We want to be prepared to meet with the 00:03:17.39\00:03:21.90 King and spend the day with the King. 00:03:21.93\00:03:23.50 Wow wee! Isn't that great. Thanks Auntie Cecily. 00:03:23.53\00:03:27.24 Do you know another way that we can worship God on the Sabbath 00:03:27.27\00:03:31.21 is to worship Him in song. We've got Pastor Rick here with us 00:03:31.24\00:03:36.34 today to do just that. Please Pastor Rick. 00:03:36.38\00:03:40.15 Hi boys and girls. Let's sing the song Remember the Sabbath 00:03:40.18\00:03:43.69 Day. 00:03:43.72\00:03:45.09 Pastor Rick, can we please sing I've Been Redeemed? 00:04:25.26\00:04:28.03 Yes we can. 00:04:28.06\00:04:29.40 Pastor Rick, can we please sing Be Like Jesus? 00:05:19.18\00:05:22.78 Yes, we can sing that lovely song. 00:05:22.82\00:05:24.82 And again. 00:05:43.10\00:05:44.44 Thanks Pastor Rick. It's great to praise God in song. Luke, we 00:06:03.36\00:06:07.70 discovered a blessing at Sunnyside this week. Will we 00:06:07.73\00:06:10.17 share that with the children at home. Yes. Okay. Let's go 00:06:10.20\00:06:13.77 have a look at that. 00:06:13.80\00:06:15.14 Hello boys and girls. My name is Dr. John Hammond. Welcome to the 00:06:15.17\00:06:23.68 Australian home of Mrs. Ellen White. Come with me. I've got 00:06:23.71\00:06:28.28 some stories to tell you. 00:06:28.32\00:06:31.75 I did say before that Ellen traveled a lot by train. I love 00:06:31.79\00:06:42.90 traveling by train and she had some pretty amazing experiences 00:06:42.93\00:06:47.04 in the train. So have I. I was driving down the road once and 00:06:47.07\00:06:52.24 I saw a train on its side, three engines and 50 trucks 00:06:52.27\00:06:58.48 full of coal. And I walked over to see why it was rolled over. 00:06:58.51\00:07:03.79 And you know what had caused it? A naughty boy had put one of 00:07:03.82\00:07:10.19 these on the railroad track and that was enough to roll the 00:07:10.23\00:07:15.96 trail. Ellen got on the train once with all her bags, her 00:07:16.00\00:07:19.70 husband and some of her workers and when she got on the train 00:07:19.73\00:07:24.04 she suddenly said I feel bad about this carriage. Get off. 00:07:24.07\00:07:31.41 But we've got all the bags and the trunks and we've got good 00:07:31.45\00:07:36.05 seats and Ellen said off. And they went to the carriage next 00:07:36.08\00:07:42.49 door. And as they were going down the track there was a 00:07:42.52\00:07:47.60 terrible bump. It wasn't a nut. It was a great big bull. Sadly 00:07:47.63\00:07:58.91 there wasn't much left of the bull afterwards but when they 00:07:58.94\00:08:03.04 got off the train their carriage was sitting still but all the 00:08:03.08\00:08:09.95 other carriages, the one that they had been in, was smashed 00:08:09.98\00:08:12.85 to pieces. You see, Satan kept on trying to get rid of Ellen. 00:08:12.89\00:08:19.69 I was driving from Crossford to Cooranbong one day 00:08:19.73\00:08:26.87 here where this house is and I was racing the train. I was 00:08:26.90\00:08:29.90 driving the car and I would stop for a traffic jam and the train 00:08:29.94\00:08:34.64 would keep on going and it got to Wiley before I did and I saw 00:08:34.68\00:08:39.88 a man get off. He was old, he was wearing a black coat, he was 00:08:39.91\00:08:45.95 bent over. He had white hair. I went past him and I felt sorry 00:08:45.99\00:08:50.49 for him and I stopped and I picked him up. And I said where 00:08:50.53\00:08:53.73 do you live and he said, Oh over there in the hills. And I went 00:08:53.76\00:08:58.13 over there. It was off the road, and I went into this hut that 00:08:58.17\00:09:03.77 was made of tin and bark and bits of timber. Well I felt 00:09:03.81\00:09:09.64 sorry for him and the next week I took him some bread. And when 00:09:09.68\00:09:14.42 I walked in I wasn't quite sure what to say and I said, Here's 00:09:14.45\00:09:18.15 some bread from God. Oh boy! Did I say the wrong thing. He went 00:09:18.19\00:09:24.96 don't talk to me about God. I hate Him. And he gnashed his 00:09:24.99\00:09:32.57 teeth, he said you're trying to help me with a present from God? 00:09:32.60\00:09:35.24 I don't need help from God. And you know what he did. He reached 00:09:35.27\00:09:40.18 into his bed and he pulled out a jar full of gold coins. Don't 00:09:40.21\00:09:48.08 you talk to me about God. I don't need God. And he dug in 00:09:48.12\00:09:51.35 the ground and he pulled out another jar full of bank notes. 00:09:51.39\00:09:55.86 really screamed at me and he said, Get out, I hate God. I 00:09:55.89\00:10:01.26 went out and about a year later that old house was bulldozed. 00:10:01.30\00:10:05.80 It's where the power lines go across. But somewhere around in 00:10:05.83\00:10:10.24 there I still think is the gold. He missed the gold of heaven, 00:10:10.27\00:10:16.34 he kept his gold and he died. But Ellen was on a train and 00:10:16.38\00:10:23.79 there she met a man who hated God. He was an infidel just like 00:10:23.82\00:10:27.82 the old man whose name was Jimmy Johnson. This man hated God and 00:10:27.86\00:10:33.09 as he was walking up and down the corridor on the train, he 00:10:33.13\00:10:37.70 saw a little lady holding a Bible. Who do you think it was? 00:10:37.73\00:10:41.70 Ellen White. And he started to shout and scream about God and 00:10:41.74\00:10:50.28 he mocked her. All the people in the train were listening and 00:10:50.31\00:10:57.29 she sat there quietly. Finally he ran out of breath and she 00:10:57.32\00:11:03.99 opened her Bible and she just went like this. She read this 00:11:04.03\00:11:10.23 text. Now this is eternal life that they may know you the only 00:11:10.27\00:11:20.14 true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. And he couldn't 00:11:20.18\00:11:27.68 open his mouth. Everybody in the train started to clap and cheer. 00:11:27.72\00:11:36.19 You know, you can be an infidel, you can hate God, but there is 00:11:36.22\00:11:41.96 nothing stronger than a text from the Bible if you read it 00:11:42.00\00:11:46.87 quietly. 00:11:46.90\00:11:49.50 Hi boys and girls, happy Sabbath Welcome to our Bible study. 00:11:49.54\00:11:53.74 I hope you have your Bible ready so you can read along with us. 00:11:53.78\00:11:56.91 Auntie Cecily can you please say a prayer for us before we start 00:11:56.95\00:12:00.05 reading the Bible. 00:12:00.08\00:12:03.22 Yes. Dear God, thank you for the privilege of owning a Bible. 00:12:03.25\00:12:06.52 Please send your Holy Spirit to be with us as we study your word 00:12:06.55\00:12:11.59 and be with the boys and girls and help them to understand what 00:12:11.63\00:12:15.76 we read. In Jesus' name Amen. Amen. 00:12:15.80\00:12:19.80 Now last Sabbath we studied a story in the Bible. Sarah can 00:12:19.83\00:12:24.17 you remember what we talked about last Sabbath? 00:12:24.21\00:12:26.88 About Cain and Abel how Cain was angry at Abel because he 00:12:26.91\00:12:31.48 was obedient. 00:12:31.51\00:12:32.85 That's right. He was very angry wasn't he? Do you know what, the 00:12:32.88\00:12:36.89 blessings of earth were taken away from Cain because he wasn't 00:12:36.92\00:12:39.45 sorry for his sin. And we're going to study in the Bible now 00:12:39.49\00:12:42.86 about what happened to our world as a result of sin. Liam, can 00:12:42.89\00:12:47.10 you please read for us Genesis 6:5-7. 00:12:47.13\00:12:49.86 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in 00:12:49.90\00:12:55.90 the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was 00:12:55.94\00:13:00.71 only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made 00:13:00.74\00:13:06.48 man on the earth and He was grieved in His heart. So the 00:13:06.51\00:13:12.09 Lord said I will destroy man whom I have created from the 00:13:12.12\00:13:16.36 face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping things and birds 00:13:16.39\00:13:21.43 of the air for I am sorry that I have made them. 00:13:21.46\00:13:26.13 Mmm. So what does all that mean? God became so unhappy that He 00:13:26.17\00:13:30.91 had made man because of their wickedness. It made Him so sad. 00:13:30.94\00:13:35.24 He was going to destroy the world and the people and all the 00:13:35.28\00:13:38.75 animals. Nick can you please read Genesis 6:8-10 please. 00:13:38.78\00:13:43.65 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. This is the 00:13:43.69\00:13:48.69 genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man 00:13:48.72\00:13:51.33 perfect in his generation. 00:13:51.36\00:13:53.76 Noah walked with God and Noah begot three sons, Shem, Ham and 00:13:53.80\00:14:02.40 Japheth. 00:14:02.44\00:14:04.67 Mmm. So what was the man that found grace in the eyes of God? 00:14:04.71\00:14:08.38 Noah. Noah. He was a just man and perfect. Do you know that 00:14:08.41\00:14:12.85 Noah must have been a very special man indeed that God 00:14:12.88\00:14:15.92 chose him. He must have been praying perhaps a lot. Perhaps 00:14:15.95\00:14:19.89 he was worried about what was going on in the world and he 00:14:19.92\00:14:22.96 would have been teaching the people the truths about God. 00:14:22.99\00:14:25.79 Wow, so Noah loved God and God must have loved him very much. 00:14:25.83\00:14:32.17 Do you think Noah must have been faithful and obedient. Yes. 00:14:32.20\00:14:35.27 I think he was. Let's see what God asked Noah to do because He 00:14:35.30\00:14:38.91 asked him to do a very special thing. Elijah can you read 00:14:38.94\00:14:42.31 Genesis 6:14-17 for us please. 00:14:42.34\00:14:45.45 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark and 00:14:45.48\00:14:50.52 cover it inside and outside with pitch. And this is how you shall 00:14:50.55\00:14:54.56 make it. The length of the ark shall be 300 cubits, its width 00:14:54.59\00:14:58.99 50 cubits and its height 30 cubits. You shall a make window 00:14:59.03\00:15:03.93 for the ark and you shall finish it to a cubit from above and 00:15:03.97\00:15:07.60 set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with 00:15:07.64\00:15:11.57 lower, second and third decks. And behold I myself am bringing 00:15:11.61\00:15:15.94 flood waters on the earth to destroy from under heaven 00:15:15.98\00:15:19.51 all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on 00:15:19.55\00:15:23.82 the earth shall die. 00:15:23.85\00:15:25.22 Mmm. So God asked Noah to build an ark or a boat because He was 00:15:25.25\00:15:29.36 thinking what? A flood. A flood. Do you know in our day 00:15:29.39\00:15:34.33 measurements the ark was 140 meters long, 23 meters wide and 00:15:34.36\00:15:40.14 14 meters high. That is around six stories. So can you imagine 00:15:40.17\00:15:45.74 a house with six stories. That was how high the ark was. That's 00:15:45.77\00:15:49.91 big. And we've got a model of the ark here. Isn't that big? 00:15:49.94\00:15:54.85 That's a scale model and even the animals are scale so, that 00:15:54.88\00:15:58.89 shows us how nice and big the ark was. It had three levels 00:15:58.92\00:16:02.76 with a door on the side and can you see the windows done all the 00:16:02.79\00:16:06.66 way along the top? God was the designer and Noah was the master 00:16:06.70\00:16:11.87 builder. And do you know that the light from the top of those 00:16:11.90\00:16:15.20 windows lighted every single floor of the ark. Isn't that 00:16:15.24\00:16:18.91 special. Now Genesis 6:3 tells us that it took Noah 120 years 00:16:18.94\00:16:26.11 to build an ark. That's a long time isn't it? Goodness, a lot 00:16:26.15\00:16:30.42 of work. Do you think that Noah was preaching to the people? 00:16:30.45\00:16:34.46 Yes he was. He was. While he was building that ark he was 00:16:34.49\00:16:38.03 warning all the people what God was going to do, that He was 00:16:38.06\00:16:42.16 going to bring a flood. Do you think that people laughed at 00:16:42.20\00:16:46.13 him? Yes. I think they did. They thought he was a bit of a crazy 00:16:46.17\00:16:50.17 man building an ark out in the middle of the land where there 00:16:50.21\00:16:52.97 was no water. That would be like building a boat out in the 00:16:53.01\00:16:55.61 the middle of the Australian desert. That's a bit funny, 00:16:55.64\00:16:58.25 isn't it. But do you know what? Noah was a very faithful and 00:16:58.28\00:17:02.25 obedient man and he believed what God told him. Okay. 00:17:02.28\00:17:06.89 So let's read Genesis 6:18-22. Kate can you do that for us 00:17:06.92\00:17:12.93 please. 00:17:12.96\00:17:14.30 But I will establish my covenant with thee and ye shall go into 00:17:14.33\00:17:18.57 the ark, you, your sons, your wife and your sons wives with 00:17:18.60\00:17:22.90 thee. And every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of 00:17:22.94\00:17:28.24 every sort into the ark to keep them alive. There shall be male 00:17:28.28\00:17:33.15 and female. Of the birds after their kind and the animals after 00:17:33.18\00:17:39.19 their kind and of every creeping thing of the earth after its 00:17:39.22\00:17:43.32 kind. Two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive 00:17:43.36\00:17:50.70 and you shall take for yourself of all the food that is eaten 00:17:50.73\00:17:55.87 and you shall gather it to yourself and it shall be food 00:17:55.90\00:17:59.81 for you and for them. Thus Noah did according to all that God 00:17:59.84\00:18:04.65 commanded him, thus he did. 00:18:04.68\00:18:07.55 Okay. So he was going into the ark. Let's think about that. 00:18:07.58\00:18:10.75 So Noah and his family and two of every animal. Can you see two 00:18:10.79\00:18:14.66 of every animal there behind you and enough food for the family 00:18:14.69\00:18:21.06 and to feed the what? The animals. They had enough food in 00:18:21.10\00:18:25.17 to feed the animals. In Genesis 7:2-3 it says two 00:18:25.20\00:18:28.94 unclean animals they also needed and seven clean animals of every 00:18:28.97\00:18:34.71 kind and we'll study about that later, why there were seven. 00:18:34.74\00:18:37.78 Okay, so let's count the people. There was Noah and his wife and 00:18:37.81\00:18:42.48 his three sons and the three wives. So how many is that? 00:18:42.52\00:18:47.36 Eight. Eight people in the ark. It's not many. Let's have a look 00:18:47.39\00:18:54.13 at our Torchlight, Ben, Mrs. White's writing and see what she 00:18:54.16\00:18:59.20 does to shine the light on that verse. Can you read that please 00:18:59.23\00:19:01.97 for us. 00:19:02.00\00:19:03.91 Animals obeyed the command of God while men were disobedient. 00:19:03.94\00:19:07.84 Guided by holy angels they went in two and two unto Noah in the 00:19:07.88\00:19:12.95 ark. And the clean beasts by sevens. 00:19:12.98\00:19:17.05 So did Noah and his sons have to go out and catch the animals. 00:19:17.09\00:19:21.19 No. No, who brought the animals to the ark? God did. God brought 00:19:21.22\00:19:25.53 the animals or the angels guided them. Were the animals 00:19:25.56\00:19:28.36 obedient? Yes. Were the people obedient and wanted to get on 00:19:28.40\00:19:31.50 the ark? No. They didn't want to get on the ark at all. Okay. 00:19:31.53\00:19:35.70 Sarah you're going to read our next reading for us. 00:19:35.74\00:19:38.64 Genesis 7:16. 00:19:38.67\00:19:40.68 So they entered, male and female of all flesh went in as God had 00:19:40.71\00:19:46.45 commanded him and the Lord shut him in. 00:19:46.48\00:19:49.18 Mmm. So who shut the door of the ark? God. God shut the door of 00:19:49.22\00:19:50.79 the ark? God. God shut the door. He did. Auntie Cecily you are 00:19:50.82\00:19:55.96 going to read for us now Genesis 7:11-12. 00:19:55.99\00:19:59.49 In the 600th year of Noah's life in the second month the 17th day 00:19:59.53\00:20:06.50 of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep 00:20:06.53\00:20:12.81 were broken up and the windows of heaven were opened and the 00:20:12.84\00:20:19.35 rain was on the earth 40 days and 40 nights. 00:20:19.38\00:20:21.95 Mmm. My goodness. All right, how long did it rain for? 00:20:21.98\00:20:27.06 Forty days and 40 nights. 00:20:27.09\00:20:29.76 Forty days and 40 nights. Do you know it had never rained before 00:20:29.79\00:20:33.63 this time, never rained. Do you think that would have been a bit 00:20:33.66\00:20:37.07 scary hearing rain for the first time? We take that for granted 00:20:37.10\00:20:40.74 hearing rain on the roof but for them it was a very scary 00:20:40.77\00:20:44.24 experience. But you know what, do you think Noah continued to 00:20:44.27\00:20:47.88 be faithful. Yes. He did. He continued to be faithful. Okay. 00:20:47.91\00:20:52.11 Let's read Hebrews 11:7. That's our memory verse for today. 00:20:52.15\00:20:57.05 Let's read that together. You ready? Yes. 00:20:57.09\00:21:06.23 By faith Noah being divinely warned of things not yet seen 00:21:06.26\00:21:12.97 moved with Godly fear prepared an ark to the saving of his 00:21:13.00\00:21:17.01 household. 00:21:17.04\00:21:18.37 So he was faithful and obedient. He built a boat on the land 00:21:18.41\00:21:22.31 having never seen rain or a flood before. People laughed and 00:21:22.34\00:21:26.95 ridiculed him yet he remained faithful and kept right on 00:21:26.98\00:21:31.25 that ark. He remained faithful for 120 years. Do you know we 00:21:31.29\00:21:37.16 can pray and ask God for the faith that Noah had. Noah was a 00:21:37.19\00:21:41.93 fantastic witness for us. Thank you boys and girls for joining 00:21:41.96\00:21:46.07 us today in reading the Bible. It was great to have you along. 00:21:46.10\00:21:49.60 Would you like the same faith that Noah had. We can ask God 00:21:49.64\00:21:53.61 for more and more faith. God is faithful in answering your 00:21:53.64\00:21:57.11 prayers. Next Sabbath when we meet again, we will continue our 00:21:57.15\00:22:00.48 study of Noah and the flood and see how God looked after him and 00:22:00.52\00:22:04.72 his family. 00:22:04.75\00:22:06.69 Keeping the Sabbath week by week helps strengthen our faith and 00:22:06.72\00:22:11.33 tests our obedience to God.
