club, there's no sinister scheme

behind that. That's pretty
innocent. But the book of
Revelation tells us

that there will be one
great final crisis that comes

upon this earth in the
last days. And in that great

crisis, it will divide
this world into two groups.
00:01:48.07\00:01:52.07
Of people. There will be
those who worship the beast.
00:01:52.07\00:01:56.08
And there will be
those who worship God.
00:01:56.08\00:02:00.15
On one hand there will be those
who keep the commandments of men
00:02:00.15\00:02:04.09
And there will be those who
follow the commandments of God
00:02:04.09\00:02:08.09
those who worship the beast and
00:02:08.09\00:02:12.09
receive his mark will
be permitted to buy and
00:02:12.09\00:02:16.06
sell, live a normal
life, and they will not be
00:02:16.06\00:02:20.10
persecuted. Those
who resist the beast
00:02:20.10\00:02:24.11
and choose to follow
God, will not be able to
00:02:24.11\00:02:28.11
buy and sell, they will not
be able to live a normal life
00:02:28.11\00:02:32.11
and the Bible says
they will face persecution.

That is a serious subject.

Because at that
time, the issue will be

front and center. Every living
person will have to choose

if they're going to
follow God or not. At that

time, there will be
no straddling the fence.

There will be no indecision.

There will be no middle
ground. Each person will

have to choose. And the
book of Revelation tells us

the subject
centers around the idea

of worship. So
with that background

in mind. When it comes to the
mark of the beast, people seem

to have a lot of different ideas
and theories. Some of them are

rather wild and crazy. Some
people think, "Is the mark of
00:03:24.17\00:03:28.17
the beast a government
identification number?" Like
your social security card.
00:03:28.17\00:03:32.17
Others wonder, "Well, is
it the bar code that I would
00:03:32.17\00:03:36.18
find on the products at
the grocery store?" Others
00:03:36.18\00:03:40.18
think, "Well, maybe it's
the number on a credit card."
00:03:40.18\00:03:44.19
And then some people have
the idea that the number 666
00:03:44.19\00:03:48.19
will be visibly and
literally stamped upon the
00:03:48.19\00:03:52.23
forehead. Now that is highly
unlikely because Revelation
00:03:52.23\00:03:57.17
as we have learned is
very much a symbolic book.
00:03:57.17\00:04:01.17
When it talks about
666 being on forehead
00:04:01.17\00:04:05.17
the forehead is the seat
of our minds. It is where
00:04:05.17\00:04:09.21
we make decisions. That is
where you and I are going to
00:04:09.21\00:04:13.21
decide whether we worship the
beast or whether we worship God.
00:04:13.21\00:04:17.22
Whether we choose to follow
man's law or whether we choose
00:04:17.22\00:04:21.22
to follow God's law. The
decision happens here and then
00:04:21.22\00:04:25.23
it's carried out in a
sense in our hands in our life
00:04:25.23\00:04:29.20
So, with that
background from the scriptures

and from the word of
God, let's go into the most
00:04:33.20\00:04:37.24
popular chapter in
Revelation that talks about

the mark of the beast.

Well that shouldn't surprise us.

Chapter 14. The Bible says then

angel flying in the midst

of Heaven. Having
the everlasting gospel to

fear God and give glory to him.

For the hour of his judgement-"
Has what? "Has come."

world that the hour of his
judgement has come. Jesus is

the end of that message

the first angel is
directing the people to worship

God as the creator.
To give our elegance to

the one who created the Heavens'
the earth, the sea, and the

springs of water. So the first
angel's message is, "Worship.
00:05:57.32\00:06:01.32
God." But then, comes a
00:06:01.32\00:06:05.33
second and a third angel.
Now, we'll study the second

angel's message a little bit
later, I want you to notice what
00:06:09.30\00:06:13.30
the third angel says
in this progression of

messengers.
Revelation 14:9. The Bible says,

"Then a third
angel followed them

saying with a loud
voice, if anyone worships
00:06:25.35\00:06:29.35
the beast and his
image, and receives his

mark on his
forehead or on his hand.

He himself shall also
drink of the wine of the

wrath of God." Now how many of
us would agree? That's a pretty

serious warning, what do you
think? That's about as strong of

a language as God gives. He
says, if we worship the beast
00:06:49.37\00:06:53.38
or his image, we
will drink the full wrath
00:06:53.38\00:06:57.38
of God. Now I want you
to notice the first angel's

says worship God,
but the third angel says
00:07:01.42\00:07:05.45
there is going to be another
group of people who do what?
00:07:05.45\00:07:09.42
They worship the beast. So
already you see that the mark
00:07:09.42\00:07:13.43
of the beast issue is
centering around worship.
00:07:13.43\00:07:17.40
One group worships the beast,
one group chooses to worship
00:07:17.40\00:07:21.40
God as the creator.
That's not my interpretation

that's not yours, that
comes straight from the Bible

and from Revelation alone.
Two groups who are deciding who

they worship. It's
either the beast or its the

creator. Now I want
you to notice. Right after

God warns us
about the beast, he then
00:07:41.46\00:07:45.46
describes what his
people will be doing

during that time, Revelation
14:12, the Bibles says,

"Here is the
patience of the saints.
00:07:53.47\00:07:57.44
Here are those who-" Do
what? "Keep the commandments

of God and have
the faith of Jesus."

So you see Revelation is
contrasting these two groups

while ne is worshiping
the beast and following man's

laws and man's commandments,
there's another group who is
00:08:13.49\00:08:17.49
worshipping Godand
keeping His commandments.

So just these three verses
from Revelation is showing us

something very important.
Whatever the mark of the beast

is, it is something
that revolves around worship
00:08:29.50\00:08:33.51
and something that
revolves around keeping
00:08:33.51\00:08:37.51
the commandments of God. If that
makes sense, can you say Amen?

Whatever the mark of the beast

seek to distort truth.

A power that taught man to
look to human authority and to

look to religious leaders
and the cross of Christ and

Jesus sacrifice was
completely lost sight of.

God is not condemning individual
Catholic people today.

they had nothing to do with what

happened all the way
back in the middle ages.

what the real issue is. Worship

commandments of God. I mean

Revelation clearly said, two
groups. You're gonna worship the

beast or you're gonna worship
the creator. It's either man's

law or it's God's law. The
Sabbath touches both of those

issues.

That the little horn

with the first beast.

of this second beast

This beast will
eventually speak like a dragon

and will do something that
causes people to follow the

first beast. Which we know to
be Rome. The second beast will

set up an image for to the first
beast and make that image speak

and it will force people
to worship the image and those

who do receive a
mark. You say, "Wow."

So, what does all that mean?

they are gentle creatures.

gentle. This new nation

The second best, this

new nation
doesn't have any crowns.

That tells us
the absence of crowns

Indicates freedom,
that it's going to be a

different form of government,

sense of freedom and democracy

nation. So this is what we've

second lamb like best rises

relatively unpopulated
area of the world. It has no

crowns on its horns
indicating freedom, no kingly

monarchy. It would be
a young or a new nation

and it would rise to a
position of world wide power.
