Tonight I want to begin by
sharing with you an allegory.

Now an allegory is a fictional
story that has a spiritual

lesson to it, and it goes
like this. "It is said the truth

had an appointment in a certain
town one day, and the people

were eagerly waiting for him to
come, and to tell them the
truth. So truth was traveling
00:00:24.99\00:00:29.99
along a hot dusty road in the
middle of a summer day. And the
00:00:29.99\00:00:35.00
afternoon sun was beating
down upon his back and he was
00:00:35.00\00:00:40.00
sweating profusely but in the
distance he saw a nice cool pond
00:00:40.00\00:00:45.01
of water.And he thought how
wonderful it would be to stop,
and take a brake, and jump into
00:00:45.01\00:00:50.01
those waters and that's what he
did. He took off the lovely
white garments of the truth and
00:00:50.01\00:00:55.05
hung them on a near by branch.
And then he jumped in the water,
refreshing himself on a
00:00:55.05\00:01:00.12
hot summer day. But you
know wherever the truth goes
00:01:00.12\00:01:05.06
lie follows close behind.
And lie was traveling along
00:01:05.06\00:01:10.07
the same hot dusty road. It was
the middle of a summer day. He
00:01:10.07\00:01:15.07
too was sweating profusely. But
eventually he saw that same pond
00:01:15.07\00:01:20.08
of water in the distance and the
same thought crossed his mind,
"I'm going to take a
00:01:20.08\00:01:25.08
nice cool swim." But as
he neared the water's edge
00:01:25.08\00:01:30.12
there he saw the truth was
already swimming in the water.
And he looked around
00:01:30.12\00:01:35.12
and he saw the lovely white
garments of the truth hanging on
that near by branch.
00:01:35.12\00:01:40.13
and so truth, or
lie got a sneaky idea.
00:01:40.13\00:01:44.13
He said forget the swim,
I'm just gonna steal truth's
00:01:44.13\00:01:48.14
clothes. And he did! So he
quickly took off the old ragged
00:01:48.14\00:01:52.14
garments of a lie, threw them on
the ground, and he started to
put on the lovely white
00:01:52.14\00:01:56.14
garments of the truth.
And so then he made his way
00:01:56.14\00:02:00.25
to the town just as he was.
And as he neared the city gate
00:02:00.25\00:02:04.22
all the people looked out, and
they began to get excited, and
they said,"Look everybody!
00:02:04.22\00:02:08.22
Here comes the
truth! Here comes the truth!
00:02:08.22\00:02:12.23
Until one perceptive
elder looked a little closer
00:02:12.23\00:02:16.23
and he said,"Now wait a minute
everyone, that's not the truth,
00:02:16.23\00:02:20.24
that's a lie with
truth's clothes on." And so

it was. And the people
were very disappointed.

Meanwhile back at the pond,
truth had gotten out of the
00:02:28.28\00:02:32.31
water. And he noticed that his
clothes were no where to be
found. As he looked around

there he saw it, the
old ragged garments of a lie
00:02:36.32\00:02:40.36
,lie right there on the
ground and he realized what had
00:02:40.36\00:02:44.39
happened Lie had stolen his
clothes. And so now Truth had an
00:02:44.39\00:02:48.36
awesome decision to make. He
could put on those old raggedy
00:02:48.36\00:02:52.40
garments of a lie. Or he
could go to the town just
00:02:52.40\00:02:56.40
as he was in his present
condition. And he thought to
00:02:56.40\00:03:00.51
himself," Before I wear those
old ragged garments, I will
simply go wearing nothing at
00:03:00.51\00:03:04.48
all." And that's what he did.
And so as he traveled down the
00:03:04.48\00:03:08.48
raod he neared the city gate.
And all the people looked out
and they got excited! And they
00:03:08.48\00:03:12.52
said, "Look everybody!
Finally! Here comes the truth!
00:03:12.52\00:03:16.56
Here comes the Truth! Why
look! It's the naked Truth."
00:03:16.56\00:03:20.60
And so it was.

Now we tend to chuckle at a
little story like that. But I

tell you tonight subject is
much like that story because
00:03:28.60\00:03:32.64
tonight comes the Naked Truth.

Now truth is an interesting
thing. Some people love the
00:03:36.64\00:03:40.68
truth and they will embrace it,
but there are others who would
00:03:40.68\00:03:44.72
prefer to believe a lie. Notice
what it says in Hebrews chapter
00:03:44.72\00:03:48.72
4 and verse 12
00:03:48.72\00:03:52.76
The Bible says, "For the Word
of God is living, and powerful,
00:03:52.76\00:03:56.73
and sharper than any two
edged sword, piercing even
00:03:56.73\00:04:00.84
the division of
soul and spirit." Notice
00:04:00.84\00:04:04.81
that God says His
word is like a what?
00:04:04.81\00:04:08.84
Like a sharp two edged sword,
and it will pierce us with the
00:04:08.84\00:04:12.85
truth. Now sometimes the truth
hurts doesn't it? Whether it's
00:04:12.85\00:04:16.92
in a religious world or whether
it's in the secular world. But
00:04:16.92\00:04:20.96
lies and deceptions hurt
a lot more. And God loves us
00:04:20.96\00:04:24.96
too much to let us be deceived.
And so therefore in His mercy

He brings us the
truth to guide us along
00:04:29.00\00:04:33.03
our paths in this life.
00:04:33.03\00:04:34.37
our paths in this life. But
Bible prophecy tells us about a
00:04:34.37\00:04:37.11
power that doesn't like truth.
00:04:37.11\00:04:41.14
A power that would seek to
distort God's truth and lead us
00:04:41.14\00:04:45.15
away from the word of God.
Bible prophecy calls it the
00:04:45.15\00:04:49.18
antichrist power. I want you to
take your bibles and we're going
00:04:49.18\00:04:53.25
to review one verse before we go
into Revelation tonight. I want
00:04:53.25\00:04:57.26
you to go to Daniel chapter
seven and verse twenty-five.

Daniel chapter seven.
And I want to read something

that we studied the last
time that we were together.

Now here in chapter
seven, this entire chapter

describes the work
of antichrist. What

activities will he
seek to do on this earth?

activities will he seek to
do on this earth? Now we're
00:05:22.72\00:05:25.32
going to spend two whole nights
on this chapter a little later
00:05:25.32\00:05:29.32
in the seminar. But for
tonight's subject, I just want
us to notice what verse

twenty-five says because it will
be a spring board into our topic

tonight. Daniel chapter
seven verse twenty-five.
00:05:37.30\00:05:41.34
The Bible
says,"And he shall speak
00:05:41.34\00:05:45.34
pompous words
against" Who? "The Most High
00:05:45.34\00:05:49.34
shall persecute the saints
of the Most High, and shall
00:05:49.34\00:05:50.75
shall persecute the saints
of the Most High, and shall
00:05:50.75\00:05:53.38
intend to change
times and law or the
00:05:53.38\00:05:57.39
King James version says,
"He shall think to change times
00:05:57.39\00:06:01.42
and law." and we learned in
its context right here in verse
00:06:01.42\00:06:05.43
twenty-five it says,"He
works against the Most High."
00:06:05.43\00:06:09.40
So in other words
antichrist will think to change
00:06:09.40\00:06:13.44
or to do away with
God's times and God's
00:06:13.44\00:06:17.44
law. And remember we
learned the other night how
00:06:17.44\00:06:21.44
the spirit of antichrist is
working today to try to cover up
00:06:21.44\00:06:25.48
the principles of God's
holy law- His ten commandments.
00:06:25.48\00:06:29.48
because we live in a world
now that says that God's law is
00:06:29.48\00:06:33.49
ancient. That it is out
dated that it is archaic
00:06:33.49\00:06:37.53
that modern man doesn't
need the principles of those ten
00:06:37.53\00:06:41.50
commandments. And so now we find
in this generation, that law is
00:06:41.50\00:06:45.53
longer taught in our homes.
It's not taught in our school
00:06:45.53\00:06:49.54
systems. You can't display them
in government buildings, and
even many times when
00:06:49.54\00:06:53.58
religious pulpous today we
hear 'well that law is done away
00:06:53.58\00:06:57.58
with' and it's not important
anymore. And so you see
00:06:57.58\00:07:01.62
the spirit of antichrist already
at work trying to do away with
00:07:01.62\00:07:05.69
God's law. But in this verse
00:07:05.69\00:07:09.72
it also talks about God's times
00:07:09.72\00:07:13.73
and what we're going to
discover is that the spirit
00:07:13.73\00:07:17.73
of antichrist
has attacked a very
00:07:17.73\00:07:21.74
specific part of God's law.
And it's the part that deals
00:07:21.74\00:07:25.77
with time and worship.

And so with that
background information

now we can launch into
Revelation chapter fourteen

that's where I want to invite
you to turn. Revelation chapter

fourteen and we're going to
start reading in verse six. The

Bible says," Then
I saw another angel

flying in the midst of
heaven. Having the everlasting
00:07:49.90\00:07:53.97
gospel to preach to
those who dwell on the earth
00:07:53.97\00:07:58.01
to every nation
tribe, tongue, and people."
00:07:58.01\00:08:02.01
Now lets stop here for a second.
How many people must this
00:08:02.01\00:08:06.05
message go to according
to Revelation? Everyone.
00:08:06.05\00:08:10.12
It basically says every
people group tribe, tongue, and
00:08:10.12\00:08:14.12
language. So whatever the
message is, right away it's
00:08:14.12\00:08:18.16
telling us it's for everyone.
It crosses geographical line.
00:08:18.16\00:08:22.16
That means it doesn't matter
whether I'm American or Russian
00:08:22.16\00:08:26.20
or Chinese or
Norwegan. This message is
00:08:26.20\00:08:30.24
for me! It also
crosses racial lines
00:08:30.24\00:08:34.28
Does it matter whether I'm
black and white or browned skin
00:08:34.28\00:08:38.31
this message is for
me! In fact it crosses
00:08:38.31\00:08:42.35
denominational lines. Which
means it doesn't matter if I'm
00:08:42.35\00:08:46.42
Protestant or Catholic,
or Atheist, Or a Muslam, or
00:08:46.42\00:08:50.46
whatever I am God says these
three messages are for every
00:08:50.46\00:08:54.46
single person that's
living in the world. So that
00:08:54.46\00:08:58.47
ought to give us a clue as
to how important the book of
00:08:58.47\00:09:02.47
Revelation considers it
to be. So now the question is
00:09:02.47\00:09:06.47
Well what's this all
important message? Lets read it
00:09:06.47\00:09:10.48
in verse seven. The
Bible continues to say,"
00:09:10.48\00:09:14.48
Saying with a
loud voice fear God
00:09:14.48\00:09:18.52
and give glory to Him,
for the hour of His judgement
00:09:18.52\00:09:22.52
is come. And worship
him who made the heavens
00:09:22.52\00:09:26.53
the earth, the
sea, and the springs
00:09:26.53\00:09:30.53
of water." Now lets
stop there for a second
00:09:30.53\00:09:34.54
The begging of this message
says we should fear God and give
00:09:34.54\00:09:38.54
glory to him. Why? The
hour of His judgement is
00:09:38.54\00:09:42.58
come. In other wards the angel
was telling people who live on
00:09:42.58\00:09:46.58
earth in these last
days. People who are distracted
00:09:46.58\00:09:50.59
People who are caught up in all
sorts of things in this secular
00:09:50.59\00:09:54.59
world. People like you
and me who might be neglecting
00:09:54.59\00:09:58.59
our relationship with Jesus. The
angel was warning and saying,"
00:09:58.59\00:10:02.60
Listen the hour of his
judgement is come. Jesus
00:10:02.60\00:10:06.60
is coming soon! We
are reaching a point where
00:10:06.60\00:10:10.64
God is preparing to look over
the record of our lives. That He
00:10:10.64\00:10:14.64
is going to come and save his
people and so it's time to turn
00:10:14.64\00:10:18.65
our eyes upon Jesus, Can
you say amen? Cause really the
00:10:18.65\00:10:22.68
hour of his judgement, that
phrase simply refers to the end
00:10:22.68\00:10:26.69
of time when Jesus is
about to come. But then
00:10:26.69\00:10:30.69
the message goes on. And
you noticed the second part
00:10:30.69\00:10:34.73
of this message. And
it's a rather interesting one
00:10:34.73\00:10:38.70
the angel goes on
to say,"Worship Him
00:10:38.70\00:10:42.74
who made the heaven, the earth,
the sea, and the springs of
00:10:42.74\00:10:46.74
water. In other wards the
angel is directing people back
00:10:46.74\00:10:50.78
to worshiping and
honoring God as the
00:10:50.78\00:10:54.78
creator of all things
00:10:54.78\00:10:58.79
and reading Revelation right
here by quoting that is pointing
00:10:58.79\00:11:02.82
us all the way back to
creation on the book of Genesis.
00:11:02.82\00:11:06.83
Because if the angel was telling
the world to worship and honor
00:11:06.83\00:11:10.83
God as the creator that means
Revelation causes us to ask
00:11:10.83\00:11:14.87
a question. How do we honor God
00:11:14.87\00:11:18.87
as a creator? How are we suppose
to remember as the creator
00:11:18.87\00:11:22.88
of heaven, the earth, the sea,
and the springs of water? Can I
00:11:22.88\00:11:26.92
do that how ever I want, or has
God given us a specific way that
00:11:26.92\00:11:30.95
is meant to be a blessing?
And what we're going to discover
00:11:30.95\00:11:34.96
is this. That
is actually a quote
00:11:34.96\00:11:38.99
from the fourth
commandment of God
00:11:38.99\00:11:43.00
law. And we're going to see that
in a second. But the get there
00:11:43.00\00:11:47.00
let me ask you a question.
Here on earth, when we want
00:11:47.00\00:11:51.04
to honor someone or
remember an event what do we
00:11:51.04\00:11:55.08
at least us Americans,
what do we tend to do?
00:11:55.08\00:11:59.11
We arract memorials. For
example, when the tragedy of
00:11:59.11\00:12:03.12
nine eleven happened and those
twin towers came down, it was
00:12:03.12\00:12:07.16
suggested that we build a
memorial on that sight and that
00:12:07.16\00:12:11.19
now has been done. And the
purpose of that memorial is to
00:12:11.19\00:12:15.20
honor those who have been slain
and to always remember what
00:12:15.20\00:12:19.20
happened there so that we
never forget. Even if you go to
00:12:19.20\00:12:23.24
many metropolitan cities
around this nation. in quite a
00:12:23.24\00:12:27.31
few of them, you will see
memorials errected to honor
00:12:27.31\00:12:31.31
those who fought in the
wars for our freedom. And so
00:12:31.31\00:12:35.35
this country has set
aside at least one day
00:12:35.35\00:12:39.39
where those war veterans are
to be honored. What day is that?
00:12:39.39\00:12:43.43
Well one of them is memorial
day. And what we will discover
00:12:43.43\00:12:47.46
is as we go back to Genesis,
God gave us his own memorial
00:12:47.46\00:12:51.50
day in which to
honor and remember him
00:12:51.50\00:12:55.54
as the creator. And so since
Revelation here in this first
00:12:55.54\00:12:59.57
angel message. Since it
talks about honoring God as the
00:12:59.57\00:13:03.61
creator Revelation in a sense
is pointing us to go back to
00:13:03.61\00:13:07.62
Genesis and seek to understand
it. So I've got a temporarily
00:13:07.62\00:13:11.65
leave Revelation, and
follow the sign that is pointing
00:13:11.65\00:13:15.69
me back to Genesis. So
lets take our bibles and since

Revelation talks about honoring
God as the creator lets go to
00:13:19.76\00:13:23.73
Genesis chapter two
beginning in verse one.

Genesis chapter two beginning

in verse one. And we're going
to use out bibles a lot tonight

just like we do everyother night

In Genesis two, this is
describing the week of creation

when God created life on this
earth. Now I'm just going to
read the first three verses

I-I want you to try and
picture this in your mind.

Genesis two verse one. The Bible

says," Thus the
heavens and the earth

and all the hosts of them were
finished. And on the seventh
00:13:59.83\00:14:03.84
day God ended his
work which he had done
00:14:03.84\00:14:07.84
and he rested on the
seventh day from all his work
00:14:07.84\00:14:11.85
which he had done
00:14:11.85\00:14:15.88
then God blessed the Sabbath day
and what's that next word?
Sanctified in because in it

He rested from all
his work, which God had
00:14:19.92\00:14:23.89
created and made." Now
let's stop there for a second

Here is says that
after God creates life on tis

earth, then
comes the seventh day

and when you read here in
Genesis two, it uses a very

perticular word to
describe that seventh day

what was the word? He
blessed and sanctified it

now if you were to look up the
word sanctified in the Hebrew
00:14:47.98\00:14:52.02
you know what the word
sanctifies means? That's right
00:14:52.02\00:14:56.02
It means to set
aside for a special purpose
00:14:56.02\00:15:00.13
or for a holy purpose. So
in other wards gone from the
00:15:00.13\00:15:04.03
beginning is saying that this
seventh day is suppose to be
00:15:04.03\00:15:08.07
set aside as
special, holy, time. As a way
00:15:08.07\00:15:12.11
for mankind to
honor God as their creator
00:15:12.11\00:15:16.11
and remember that he's the one
that made life along with the
00:15:16.11\00:15:20.15
heavens, and the earth, and the
sea, and the springs of water.
00:15:20.15\00:15:24.15
Now having read
that, sometimes it raises
00:15:24.15\00:15:28.19
a question in people's minds.
Because right here we see the
00:15:28.19\00:15:32.19
beginnings where God gives
mankind what would be called
00:15:32.19\00:15:36.23
the seveth-day sabbath. Cause
Revelation is pointing us back
00:15:36.23\00:15:40.24
there. But the sincere question
that sometimes crosses our mind
00:15:40.24\00:15:44.27
is we wonder, well I've
always heard that was the Jewish
00:15:44.27\00:15:48.28
sabbath and that was just for
the Jews. But lets ask a honest
00:15:48.28\00:15:52.31
question here. Here in
Genesis chapter two, this is the
00:15:52.31\00:15:56.35
week of creation. How many
people are alive on the face of
00:15:56.35\00:16:00.46
the earth? I hope you know. Two!
00:16:00.46\00:16:04.39
What were their names?
Adam and Eve. Where they Jews?
00:16:04.39\00:16:08.40
No. The Jewish
nation did not exist for
00:16:08.40\00:16:12.43
hundred, and hundreds,
and hundreds of years into the
00:16:12.43\00:16:16.44
future In fact here in Genesis
two this is really before there
00:16:16.44\00:16:20.64
were different races, there were
different colors of skin. Long
00:16:20.64\00:16:24.68
before there were different
denominations. So aparently
00:16:24.68\00:16:28.72
all the way back at creation,
God meant this seventh-day
00:16:28.72\00:16:32.75
sabbath to be a blessing
for all man throughout all
00:16:32.75\00:16:36.83
time. You say 'well
why did God consider that
00:16:36.83\00:16:40.90
to be so special,
this seventh-day?'
00:16:40.90\00:16:44.90
Lets think about it
for a second. God created
00:16:44.90\00:16:48.90
life. Adam and Eve, man and
woman, on what day? Remember?
00:16:48.90\00:16:52.94
The sixth day,
which, we would call Friday
00:16:52.94\00:16:56.95
Do you notice that very next
day God created the sabbath.
00:16:56.95\00:17:00.95
The sabbath, the
seventh day, would've
00:17:00.95\00:17:04.95
been Adam and Eve's
very first full day with God.
00:17:04.95\00:17:08.96
You see in a sense
God is saying that he is a
00:17:08.96\00:17:12.96
relational God. That he
wants to know us in a very
00:17:12.96\00:17:16.93
personal and intimate way. He
didn't just create Adam and Eve
00:17:16.93\00:17:20.97
and say 'You know what, I gave
you life so now I'm going to go
off into the distant universe
00:17:20.97\00:17:24.97
somewhere. You're on your
own.' That's not how the bible
00:17:24.97\00:17:28.98
describes our creator.
Because God wants to know us
00:17:28.98\00:17:33.01
Because he wants to be
intimate with us. Have a
00:17:33.01\00:17:37.02
personal relationship,
God now creates the seventh
00:17:37.02\00:17:41.02
day sabbath. And he says
to Adam and Eve and to us
00:17:41.02\00:17:45.03
every seventh-day, I want
you to rest from your labors.
00:17:45.03\00:17:49.03
I mean and it actually says God
is going to rest from His. And
00:17:49.03\00:17:53.03
they're going to come together
in holy time and holy communion
00:17:53.03\00:17:57.04
to grow their
relationship with their creator
00:17:57.04\00:18:01.11
Now think about this a second.
When Adam and Eve where created
00:18:01.11\00:18:05.08
were they created all
ready knowing everything
00:18:05.08\00:18:09.08
about the character
of God? Yes or No? No/
00:18:09.08\00:18:13.09
They didn't know everything
about His character. That's why
00:18:13.09\00:18:17.13
they were to spend time with
Him. To grow in that relation
00:18:17.13\00:18:21.10
ship. That's why God gave
the sabbath. Because when you're
00:18:21.10\00:18:25.10
remembering as the
creator every week it's awful
00:18:25.10\00:18:29.10
hard to forget. Can you
say Amen? See that seventh-day
00:18:29.10\00:18:33.14
sabbath time was about a
relationship. Being intimate
00:18:33.14\00:18:37.15
with the ones that you created.
That shows how much God must
00:18:37.15\00:18:41.15
indeed love us. And
what we're going to discover
00:18:41.15\00:18:45.19
is even from the
beginning of time. The
00:18:45.19\00:18:49.19
devil has
unleashed a ferocious attack
00:18:49.19\00:18:53.23
through the spirit of antichrist
against that day. Why?
00:18:53.23\00:18:57.20
Because if it's a day set aside
to honor God as the creator
00:18:57.20\00:19:01.27
the devil would like nothing
more than to destroy that
00:19:01.27\00:19:05.24
special time And that's why
Daniel wrote. He would think
00:19:05.24\00:19:09.24
to change God's
times and God's law
00:19:09.24\00:19:13.28
And the sabbath is God's
00:19:13.28\00:19:17.29
special time found in
the very heart of his law
00:19:17.29\00:19:21.32
and it has to do with worship.
00:19:21.32\00:19:25.33
In fact God considered
that to be so important that He
00:19:25.33\00:19:29.30
went and included it in his
ten commandment law. So let's go
00:19:29.30\00:19:33.34
there. Exodus chapter
twenty. And let's go to verses
00:19:33.34\00:19:37.37
eight through eleven. Now
we're going to make our way
00:19:37.37\00:19:41.38
from old testament to new
testament. Because if Revelation
00:19:41.38\00:19:45.41
is directing us back and is
quoting the fourth commandment
00:19:45.41\00:19:49.42
that means I need to be sure to
understand why. So I have to
study it. Revelation
00:19:49.42\00:19:53.46
doesn't give me the option
of skipping over it as though it
00:19:53.46\00:19:57.46
was unimportant. Exodus chapter
twenty. And lets read verses

eight through
eleven. Exodus twenty

and verse eight. The Bible
00:20:05.50\00:20:09.54

relationship with Jesus

Sabbath points me to Jesus

something that really caught my

seven. This first angel that has
a message that is to go to all

the world he said this,
"Fear God, give glory to

Him, for the hour of his

Him who made heaven, the earth,

point of the Sabbath is

You know my errands, my grocery

shopping etc. for what
purpose? So I can show God I'm

serious and I deserve to
go to heaven? NO! The pursose

of setting it aside is
so that now I have this

special holy time where I
can connect with the one who

created me. Where I can
purposely and specifically

worship him and
grow my spiritual life.

Because the only we can be
saved is to have a personal

relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Sabbath is an avenue that

helps us to grow in that
relationship and to get to know
