how the tour takes place

of his hair, and in prophetic

vision, lifts him up by
his hair and actually starts

that were taking place

and brings him right to the gate

alter, an image to a pagan God,

what the priests are doing

Ezekiel the prophet of the Lord

is sort of like
a fly on the wall,

there, and he sees that God's

own priests,
God's what everyone?

God's own priests
were worshiping idols in an

absolutely incredible
way, right in the very temple,

God, and I can just imagine

in my mind's eye Ezekiel
saying I can't believe this.

I can't believe that
the professed people of God

are worshiping these
idols in the temple of God.

But he said to them,
you think this is bad,

you'll see even worse
abominations than these.

I'm in verse 14, So
He brought me to the door

Lord's house; and to my dismay,

there weeping for Tammuz.

That's one of the
fertility Gods of paganism,

weeping for this pagan goddess

These aren't the heathen,
these aren't the gentiles,

Ezekiel saying, I see it Lord,
but I can hardly believe it,

abominations even than these.

Verse 16. So He brought me
into the inner court of the

Lord's house; and there,
at the door of the temple

the porch and the altar,

men with their backs toward

their faces toward the east,

on this sort of Tour de Force

was the worship of the
sun in the very temple of God.

the crescendo, he brings them

of God, and they are worshipping

what happens in Ezekiel 9 is

the seal of God, and the mark

that didn't have God's mark,

have God's seal were slain.

we're talking about Babylon,

that Babylon is the
center of man made worship.

They built the tower of Babel
and they said come let us build

a tower up into the
highest of the high heavens,

and many expositors have
recognized that they were

going to probably build
a temple high, high, high,
00:07:47.50\00:07:49.70
and a tower high, high, high,
so if a flood ever came again

they could save
themselves by their own what?

By their own works, and so
Babylon represented man made

religion, but Babylon was
also the center of image worship

all systems and streams of

So not only was it the
center of image worship,

false teaching about death.

this idea of the immortality

It was basically a

innate immortality
