00:41 As-Salaam-Alaikum to our Muslim brother and sisters,
00:45 and shalom to our Hebrew cousins, 00:47 peace be upon you to our Christian friends. 00:50 Welcome once again to "The Descendants of Abraham." 00:54 You know in the previous program we talked about 00:57 how the God of heaven, the God of Abraham 01:01 reveals His secrets and we had looked at the Prophet Daniel 01:07 and how it was incredible, how God revealed the secret 01:12 to Daniel that the king, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon 01:17 needed to know and let's take a look once again 01:21 at that Daniel 2:20, 22. 01:25 It says, "Blessed be the name of God 01:28 forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. 01:32 He reveals deep and secret things, 01:36 He knows what is in the darkness." 01:39 And again Daniel when he prayed to the God of heaven, 01:46 okay, asking for the secret to be revealed 01:50 for the King Nebuchadnezzar, God granted him that blessing. 01:55 Daniel's intention again was not to glorify himself. 01:59 You see, God does not reveal secrets to us and God 02:03 does not bless us that we can, we are glorified but that 02:07 we can glorify Him and we can show others that the living God, 02:13 the God of Abraham, the Creator God is the true God 02:19 and so it's not about us, it is about Him. 02:24 Let's look at what the Prophet Amos 02:26 tells us in Amos 3:7, it says, "Surely the Lord God 02:32 will do nothing unless He reveals His secrets 02:37 to His servants the prophets." 02:40 Again we see that the God of heaven 02:44 does not play games with His children. 02:48 He doesn't keep things from us, He doesn't keep us in the dark. 02:52 He will always tell us what is going to happen, 02:56 He will warn us because we are His children. 02:59 Unlike mothers and fathers here on this earth, 03:03 we don't let our children wander in darkness. 03:08 We tell them don't play with the fire, 03:10 you will get hurt or don't run down the stairs, 03:13 you can fall and break a leg because we love them. 03:17 We don't want them to get hurt, we want to protect them. 03:21 Well, how much more will our Creator God, 03:26 the God in heaven do for us as His children. 03:31 We looked at some prophecies in the holy Bible 03:35 already which shows the accuracy of this book. 03:41 We are going to look at some more prophecies today. 03:45 And this time we are going to look at the prophecies 03:48 given by the Lord Jesus Christ and we will see how accurate 03:54 these prophecies are also, but we are going 03:58 to go to the New Testament to the Book of Mathew 04:03 and we are going to Chapter 24. 04:05 Let's see what it says. 04:09 Matthew 24:2, "And Jesus said to them, 04:14 "Do you not see all these things? 04:17 Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone 04:20 shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down." 04:26 Now this is what the Lord Jesus was talking about, 04:30 that He was leaving the temple in Jerusalem 04:34 that day and His disciples came up to Him and said to Him, 04:40 Lord, look at this temple, 04:42 isn't it beautiful, isn't it magnificent. 04:46 Look at all the buildings, they were so proud of the temple 04:50 and it was a magnificent structure so beautiful 04:54 with the white marble and the gold 04:57 and when the sun would glisten off 04:59 of that, it was breathtaking. 05:03 And so here it is as they are saying, Lord, look. 05:07 He says, don't you see not one stone will be left upon another. 05:13 What did He mean by that? 05:17 He left the disciples and He went to His favorite place, 05:24 He went up to the Mount of Olives or Olivet, 05:27 He went there and He sat. 05:29 His disciples followed Him, they always like 05:32 to be with the Master and they asked Him, 05:37 Lord, what do you mean, what do you mean by this? 05:40 And he said, this is what He told them. 05:43 He said-- tell us the disciples says, 05:47 I'm sorry the disciples says, 05:48 "Tell us when will these things be? 05:49 And what will be the sign of Your coming, 05:52 and of the end of the age?" 05:57 The Son of God did not leave His disciples 06:02 in the dark because God never left Him in the dark. 06:09 God sent His Son Jesus to this earth to reveal all these things 06:16 to us and He revealed these things to His disciples. 06:20 They wanted to know, what do you mean 06:23 that the stones won't be left one upon another. 06:25 What are you talking about the end of the age? 06:29 What, tell us more, we need to know. 06:32 So here is what Jesus said. 06:35 He says, "But when you see Jerusalem 06:39 surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 06:44 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, 06:48 let those who are in the midst of her depart, 06:52 and let not those who are in the country enter her. 06:56 For these are the days of vengeance, 06:58 that all things which are written may be fulfilled." 07:04 Now this was written in the Book of Luke 21:20-22 07:11 and this was 40 years prior to the destruction of the temple 07:18 when Jesus was telling His disciples this. 07:22 They couldn't believe that the temple will ever 07:24 be destroyed, it was so beautiful and build so strong. 07:28 But 40 years before the destruction of the temple, 07:32 Jesus shared with His disciples what was going to happen. 07:37 He is the Son of God, he is God so He can see that. 07:42 In 70 A.D. the year 70 A.D. 07:50 is exactly as Jesus prophesied 07:52 the temple was destroyed in the most horrible way the temple 07:56 was destroyed and there was not one stone left upon another. 08:02 Just as He predicted just so it happened. 08:07 The Christians in 70 A.D. saw the fulfillment of this prophecy 08:12 and obeyed the warning of the Lord and not one Christian 08:16 perished in the destruction of Jerusalem, not one. 08:22 And you can read the history of this. 08:24 Jesus continued to tell them and as today 08:28 in the scriptures today what we should be paying attention to. 08:32 Here is what he says, "For then there will be 08:35 great tribulation, such as has not been 08:39 since the beginning of the world 08:41 until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 08:45 And unless those days were shortened, 08:47 no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake 08:52 those days will be shortened." 08:56 He tells us that between the destruction of-- I am sorry 09:02 he tells that between the time of the destruction of Jerusalem 09:07 and 70 A.D. to His coming when He is coming back again 09:13 there will be terrible persecution 09:16 of His followers and there was. 09:19 Again this prediction, this prophecy of the Lord Jesus 09:24 was fulfilled, there was terrible 09:26 persecution of Christians. 09:28 It was what we call the Dark Ages, 09:31 many, many Christians. 09:33 It's estimated 50 million to 100 million of the followers 09:39 of Jesus were perished, were killed, were destroyed. 09:44 And so again He saw that, He saw that when He was sitting 09:50 on the Mount of Olives and He told us about that. 09:55 Nothing is hidden from God, nothing. 09:59 He knows everything and He sees what is coming. 10:06 Now the Lord Jesus gives signs to His disciples 10:10 and to us because it is written in the book of His second coming 10:15 of when He is coming back again to this earth 10:18 and that will be a magnificent time, glorious time 10:21 and I'm looking forward to that time. 10:24 And here is what he says in again Matthew 24:29. 10:31 "Immediately after the tribulation 10:33 of those days the sun will be darkened, 10:36 and the moon will not give its light; 10:39 the stars will fall from heaven, 10:41 and the powers of the heavens will be shaken." 10:45 And then we will look again also 10:48 in the Book of Revelation 6:12, 13. 10:53 And we this prophecy that Jesus gave, 10:57 we see this repeated by one of His disciples 11:01 who was John and John who is called the Revelator 11:05 because he wrote the Book of Revelation. 11:08 Here is what he says, "I looked when He opened 11:12 the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake, 11:16 and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, 11:20 and the moon became like blood. 11:23 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth. 11:27 Now the only one as we study the book, 11:29 there's only one that could open those seals 11:33 is Jesus Christ Himself and that is what is written 11:37 in the Book of Revelation 3. 11:41 Now persecution or the great tribulation 11:44 as its called against the followers of Christ 11:46 was almost over at this time, it was coming to an end 11:50 and following this persecution, following the great tribulation 11:55 that Jesus talks about and according to the scriptures 12:00 there would be a great earthquake, 12:02 the sun will not give its light 12:04 and the stars will fall from heaven. 12:08 Well we had a lot of earthquakes especially 12:13 lately there has been, we remember what happened 12:17 in Banda Aceh, we remember what's going on 12:20 around the world in Japan even in North America, 12:23 there is a line of earthquakes but there was an earthquake 12:27 that I believe Jesus was referring to a specific 12:30 that fit into that time and this is what is called 12:34 the Lisbon earthquake, the one in Lisbon, Portugal 12:39 and that earthquake happened on November 1st 1755 12:45 and it was the first 12:46 of the fulfillment of these prophecies. 12:48 This earthquake extended into Europe, Africa and America, 12:54 it was also felt in Greenland, the West Indies, 12:58 Madeira, Norway, Sweden, Great Britain and Ireland. 13:03 A large part of Algeria was destroyed. 13:07 In Morocco, a village of 8000 to 10000 people perished. 13:12 A tsunami wave hit Spain and Africa swallowing up cities. 13:20 So although earthquakes are increasing today, 13:24 they have not effected such a vast wide area 13:28 as the Lisbon earthquake did in 1755. 13:32 So this particular earthquake did fulfilled the prophecy 13:37 when Jesus says the great earthquake. 13:40 And then we now come and we see another prophecy 13:44 here on May 19th of 1780 another prophecy is been fulfilled 13:49 and that's where He talks about the dark day, 13:52 the sun, the sun will not give its light, 13:56 so we will seek here that on May 19th of 1780 14:00 this prophecy was fulfilled and here are some 14:03 of the reports of that day. 14:06 "The 19th of May, 1780, was a remarkable day. 14:10 Candles were lighted in many houses, 14:13 the birds were silent and disappeared, 14:16 and the fowls retired to roost. 14:19 The legislature of Connecticut in the United States 14:23 was then in session at Hartford. 14:26 A very general opinion prevailed, 14:28 that the day of judgment was at hand. 14:31 The House of Representatives, being unable to transact 14:35 their business, adjourned. 14:37 A proposal to adjourn the Council 14:40 was under consideration. 14:42 When the opinion of Colonel Abraham Davenport 14:45 was asked, he answered, "I am against an adjournment. 14:49 The day of judgment is either approaching, or it is not. 14:54 If it is not, there is no cause of an adjournment, 14:58 if it is, I choose to be found doing my duty. 15:02 I wish therefore that candles may be brought." 15:06 Let's look at some more things that others said about that day. 15:11 "The intense darkness of the day was succeeded an hour 15:15 or two before evening, by a partially clear sky, 15:19 and the sun appeared, though it was still obscured 15:23 by the black, heavy mist. 15:25 "After sundown, the clouds came overhead, 15:29 and it grew dark very fast." 15:31 "Nor was the darkness of the night less uncommon 15:35 and terrifying than that of the day; 15:38 not withstanding there was almost a full moon, 15:42 no object was discernible but by the help 15:47 of some artificial light. 15:50 And we've all heard of General George Washington 15:54 who at that time wrote in his diary the following 15:57 "In the darkest area, people had to take 16:00 their midday meals by candlelight. 16:03 A Massachusetts resident noted, 16:05 "In some places, the darkness was so great 16:09 that persons could not see to read 16:11 common print in the open air." 16:14 In New Hampshire, wrote one person, 16:17 "A sheet of white paper held within a few inches of the eyes 16:21 was equally invisible with the blackest velvet." 16:26 And John Herschel the noted astronomer of that day declares, 16:32 "The dark day in North America was one of those 16:35 wonderful phenomena of nature which philosophy 16:40 is at a loss to explain." 16:44 Again brothers and sisters, the words 16:48 of the Lord Jesus Christ as He gave to His disciples 16:52 on Mount Olives were fulfilled. 16:54 The sun was dark and it was following 16:58 the tribulation years after the earthquake. 17:03 Now we will take a look at the next prediction that Jesus 17:07 gave that the stars will fall from heaven. 17:13 Now did the stars fall from heaven as Jesus predicted. 17:18 Let's take a look at November 13, 1833. 17:26 This is when the stars look like they fell 17:28 from heaven, November 13, 1833. 17:33 Let's see what-- again the people in that time 17:36 were writing about this day. 17:38 "The whole firmament, over all the United States, 17:42 being then, for hours, in fiery commotion! 17:46 No celestial phenomenon has ever occurred in this country, 17:50 since its first settlement, which was viewed 17:53 with such intense admiration by one class in the community, 17:57 or with so much dread and alarm by another." 18:01 Never did rain fall much thicker than the meteors 18:05 fell toward the earth, east, west, north, 18:09 and south, it was the same. 18:11 In a word, the whole heavens seemed in motion. 18:16 The display, as described in Professor Silliman's Journal, 18:19 was seen all over North America. 18:23 From two o'clock until broad daylight, 18:26 the sky being perfectly serene and cloudless, 18:29 an incessant play of dazzlingly brilliant luminosities 18:34 was kept up in the whole heavens." 18:39 And there is in the Christian Advocate 18:42 and Journal of that time is written. 18:45 "No language indeed can come up to the splendor 18:48 of that magnificent display, no one who did not witness 18:52 it can form an adequate conception of its glory. 18:56 It seemed as if the whole starry heavens had congregated 19:00 at one point near the zenith, and were simultaneously 19:04 shooting forth, with the velocity of lightning, 19:07 to every part of the horizon, and yet they were 19:11 not exhausted-- thousands swiftly followed 19:15 in the track of thousands, as if created for the occasion." 19:20 And let's look at the couple more. 19:23 Peter Millman, from the falling of the stars 19:26 wrote in The Telescope. 19:28 "To understand the use of the word shower in connection 19:31 with shooting stars we must go back to the early morning hours 19:35 of November 13, 1833, when the inhabitants 19:39 of this continent of North America were in fact 19:43 treated to one of the most spectacular natural displays 19:46 that the night sky has produced. 19:49 For nearly four hours the sky was literally ablaze. 19:54 More than a billion shooting stars appeared 19:56 over the United States and Canada alone." 19:59 And Frederick Douglass who wrote its Life and Times 20:05 of Frederick Douglass in New York said, 20:07 "I witnessed this gorgeous spectacle, and was awestruck. 20:10 The air seemed filled with bright 20:13 descending messengers from the sky. 20:16 It was about daybreak when I saw this sublime scene. 20:19 I was not without the suggestion at that moment 20:22 that it might be the harbinger of the coming of the Son of man 20:27 and in my then state of mind I was prepared 20:31 to hail him as my friend and deliverer. 20:34 I had read that the 'stars should fall from heaven,' 20:39 and they were now falling." 20:43 Is there still doubt in your mind brothers and sisters 20:46 regarding the accuracy of the scriptures, 20:49 the holy book, there shouldn't be. 20:53 There is so much more to reveal regarding these prophecies, 20:56 so much more but time doesn't allow us 20:59 to do that in the program. 21:01 I pray that you will continue to study 21:04 these prophecies in depth. 21:06 Pray to the God of heaven, the God of Abraham 21:10 and He will reveal to you His truth. 21:15 These truths do not belong to me, 21:18 I'm just revealing to you what is in the book, 21:22 in the scriptures and what others have said, 21:26 you can go to the history books, look in the internet, 21:30 go to the library and everything I have told you is true. 21:35 You will find it and it is exactly 21:37 as the Lord Jesus Christ predicted. 21:40 This will all happen before He comes, 21:44 just before He comes. 21:47 Now let's look again at the prophecy it's written 21:50 in the Book of Revelation 6:12, 13. 21:55 It says, "I looked when He opened the sixth seal, 21:58 and behold, there was a great earthquake; 22:01 and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, 22:05 and the moon became like blood. 22:07 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth." 22:11 Now, if this prophecy points to the six seal by Jesus Christ, 22:18 then there is only one more seal left to be opened 22:21 because there are only seven seals 22:24 mentioned in the Book of Revelation. 22:27 You will see that we are living in the time 22:30 just prior to the coming of the Messiah, 22:33 the Lord Jesus Christ we are living right there, 22:36 right after the sixth seal just before the seventh seal. 22:40 Just like Jesus want us and He says pay attention, 22:46 this will be the time that the seven plagues 22:49 will be poured out upon this earth when you read 22:52 the Book of Revelation and study it. 22:54 It will be a terrible time and we see all the signs 22:58 around us today of this great event 23:01 that is about to take place. 23:03 But, you know, I am not worried 23:06 and you shouldn't be because if we accept Jesus as our Lord, 23:12 as our God, as the true Messiah and His words as truth, 23:19 we never have to worry about these things 23:21 because God protects us. 23:24 Again we do not have enough time on this program 23:29 to go into all of these in depth. 23:31 Read it for yourself in the Book of Revelation 23:34 and go to Chapter 8 and study this and email us 23:39 if you have any question, we will be more than happy 23:42 to answer your questions. 23:44 You know our Creator gives us warnings 23:48 of His coming and of His judgments. 23:52 Remember the prophet Noah, he tried to tell people, 23:56 a flood is coming and they mocked him and they laughed him. 24:00 Well, we all know the story of Noah him and his family 24:04 were in the ark and God saved them and protected them. 24:08 Remember Lot, Abraham's nephew 24:11 when he was in Sodom and fire was coming down, 24:14 he listened and he trusted the God of Abraham 24:19 and he came out and he was protected by God. 24:23 And the Christians in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. 24:27 when Jerusalem was destroyed. 24:30 They were told what to do and every one of them 24:33 was saved when they left Jerusalem. 24:36 Now, here is what our Lord Jesus 24:38 wants us in Matthew 24:32, 33. 24:42 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree. 24:46 When its branch has already become tender 24:48 and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 24:52 So you also, when you see all these things, 24:57 know that it is near at the doors!" 25:02 We will be right back. 25:04 When you get to the Descendants of Abraham, 25:07 you can be sure that you're lighting the way 25:09 for all in search of the 26:07 We are living in the time of the end 26:10 and so many people see that, so many people know 26:16 that but they don't know what's going to happen. 26:18 Well, this book tells you what to expect. 26:22 Brothers and sister the economy worldwide is not doing well 26:29 and it could collapse but we don't have to worry because 26:33 we have a God who sees everything 26:36 and He will take of us. 26:37 There will be chaos on the streets 26:40 and we have seen that. 26:42 Man cannot undo what God says will happen 26:46 and it says in the book it will happen. 26:50 Won't you please take the time and pray 26:54 and ask the God of Abraham to guide you 26:58 into His truth as He did to me. 27:01 See, I was a brand plucked from the fire 27:05 and I--now my eyes have opened and I recognize 27:10 the Lord Jesus Christ as my God and as my Messiah. 27:15 My prayer is that you too will accept Him. 27:20 In the mean time I had to pray that you will find comfort 27:25 and peace through the God of
