It says, "Blessed
be the name of God

forever and ever, for
wisdom and might are His.

He reveals deep
and secret things,

He knows what is
in the darkness."

And again Daniel when he
prayed to the God of heaven,

secret to be revealed

for the King Nebuchadnezzar,
God granted him that blessing.

Daniel's intention again
was not to glorify himself.

You see, God does not
reveal secrets to us and God

does not bless us that we
can, we are glorified but that

we can glorify Him and we can
show others that the living God,

about us, it is about Him.

Let's look at
what the Prophet Amos

says, "Surely the Lord God

unless He reveals His secrets

that the God of heaven

games with His children.

He doesn't keep things from us,
He doesn't keep us in the dark.

what is going to happen,

fathers here on this earth,

they were so proud of the temple

structure so beautiful

marble and the gold

of that, it was breathtaking.

And so here it is as
they are saying, Lord, look.

What did He mean by that?

He went to His favorite place,

Master and they asked Him,

Lord, what do you mean,

the disciples says,

The Son of God did
not leave His disciples

God sent His Son Jesus to this
earth to reveal all these things

these things to His disciples.

So here is what Jesus said.

when you see Jerusalem

surrounded by armies, then know

Judea flee to the mountains,

let those who are in
the midst of her depart,

and let not those who
are in the country enter her.

For these are the
days of vengeance,

Now this was written in
the Book of Luke 21:20-22

and this was 40 years prior
to the destruction of the temple

when Jesus was
telling His disciples this.

They couldn't believe
that the temple will ever

be destroyed, it was so
beautiful and build so strong.

But 40 years before the
destruction of the temple,

Jesus shared with His disciples
what was going to happen.

He is the Son of God, he
is God so He can see that.

In 70 A.D. the year 70 A.D.

is exactly as Jesus prophesied

the temple was destroyed in
the most horrible way the temple

was destroyed and there was
not one stone left upon another.

Just as He
predicted just so it happened.

The Christians in 70 A.D. saw
the fulfillment of this prophecy

and obeyed the warning of
the Lord and not one Christian

perished in the destruction
of Jerusalem, not one.

should be paying attention to.

And unless those

no flesh would be
saved; but for the elect's sake

those days will be shortened."

He tells us that between
the destruction of-- I am sorry

he tells that between the time
of the destruction of Jerusalem

and 70 A.D. to His coming
when He is coming back again

there will be
terrible persecution

of His followers and there was.

Again this prediction,
this prophecy of the Lord Jesus

was fulfilled,
there was terrible

persecution of Christians.

It was what we
call the Dark Ages,

many, many Christians.

It's estimated 50 million
to 100 million of the followers

of Jesus were perished,
were killed, were destroyed.

He saw that when He was sitting

on the Mount of Olives
and He told us about that.

Nothing is hidden
from God, nothing.

and He sees what is coming.

Now the Lord Jesus
gives signs to His disciples

prophecy that Jesus gave,

there was a great earthquake,

and the sun became
black as sackcloth of hair,

and the moon became like blood.

And the stars of
heaven fell to the earth.

Now the only one
as we study the book,

there's only one that
could open those seals

is Jesus Christ Himself
and that is what is written

Now persecution or
the great tribulation

the followers of Christ

was almost over at this
time, it was coming to an end

and following this persecution,

that Jesus talks about and

great earthquake,

the sun will not give its light

and the stars
will fall from heaven.

Well we had a lot of
earthquakes especially

lately there has been,
we remember what happened

in Banda Aceh, we
remember what's going on
00:12:17.42\00:12:20.87
around the world in
Japan even in North America,
00:12:20.90\00:12:23.45
there is a line of earthquakes
but there was an earthquake
00:12:23.48\00:12:27.57
that I believe Jesus
was referring to a specific
00:12:27.60\00:12:30.66
that fit into that time
and this is what is called
00:12:30.69\00:12:34.67
the Lisbon earthquake,
the one in Lisbon, Portugal
00:12:34.70\00:12:39.17
and that earthquake
happened on November 1st 1755
00:12:39.20\00:12:44.97
and it was the first
00:12:45.00\00:12:46.08
of the fulfillment
of these prophecies.

This earthquake extended
into Europe, Africa and America,

it was also felt in
Greenland, the West Indies,

Madeira, Norway, Sweden,
Great Britain and Ireland.

A large part of
Algeria was destroyed.

In Morocco, a village of
8000 to 10000 people perished.

A tsunami wave hit Spain
and Africa swallowing up cities.

So although earthquakes
are increasing today,

they have not
effected such a vast wide area

as the Lisbon
earthquake did in 1755.

So this particular earthquake
did fulfilled the prophecy

when Jesus says
the great earthquake.

And then we now come
and we see another prophecy

prophecy is been fulfilled

talks about the dark day,
