at a wonderful Bible prophecy

and it is going
to be the prophecy

that is in the book
of the prophet Daniel 2

and what I love about
this prophecy is that,

before I believed in
the God of the Bible,

I saw this prophecy and
I was taught this prophecy
00:01:15.50\00:01:20.52
and I saw how accurate it is
00:01:20.55\00:01:24.11
and then it may
be more curious about
00:01:24.14\00:01:26.39
what else is in the holy
book and how accurate is it
00:01:26.42\00:01:31.48
because you know Muslims
believe that it is corrupted,

that the Injil is corrupted.
00:01:37.15\00:01:39.48
But in all my studies I
have not found that at all

and so I want us to look
at the prophecy in Daniel 2.

Let's go directly to that, okay.

And we will see that this is
all about King Nebuchadnezzar.

King Nebuchadnezzar
was the king of Babylon
00:01:56.00\00:01:59.85
and it was in his second,
the second year of his reign

that the Prophet
Daniel was called to him
00:02:04.48\00:02:07.95
to explain a prophecy.
00:02:07.98\00:02:09.41
I will look at
this whole discussion

that took place if
everything that went on

as it is written
in the holy book.

Let's go to Daniel 2
and we will start right now

beginning at verse 2.

"Then the king gave the
command to call the magicians,

the astrologers, the sorcerers,
00:02:29.60\00:02:31.72
and the Chaldeans to
tell the king his dreams.

So they came and
stood before the king.
00:02:35.77\00:02:38.74
And the king said to
them, "I have had a dream,

and my spirit is
anxious to know the dream.

Then the Chaldeans came
to the king and in Aramaic,

they said "O king, live forever!

Tell your servants the dream,

and we will give
the interpretation.

The king answered and
said to the Chaldeans,

"The thing is gone from
me, if ye will not make known

Now I think the king
was wiser than his wise men

because he said to
them, no I want you to tell me

my dream and then
tell me the interpretation.

You know, that's
happened to all of us,

we will have a
dream and we will wake up

and the dream troubles us.

So we know there is
something special to that dream

but may be we
can't remember the dream.

Well this is what happened

to King
Nebuchadnezzar at that time.

The magicians, the astrologers,
00:04:02.01\00:04:04.54
and the sorcerers that he called

who are they
really who are they?
00:04:06.18\00:04:08.72
Well we know
that the Babylonians
00:04:08.75\00:04:11.10
did not worship the
Creator God, the God of Abraham,
00:04:11.13\00:04:14.32
that's not who they worshiped
00:04:14.35\00:04:16.21
and he is the
only one that could
00:04:16.25\00:04:18.76
interpret the king's dream.
00:04:18.79\00:04:20.99
So the wise men realize this,

they realize that
they couldn't help him,

they could not
interpret his dream,

they could not help,
they couldn't give him

the dream or the interpretation

and so I think they were
little afraid at this point.

Well here is what happened.

In Daniel 2 again, we
go back to the passage,

it says, "They
answered again and said,

"Let the king tell
his servants the dream,

and we will give
its interpretation.
00:04:49.94\00:04:53.52
Well the king answered and said,
00:04:53.55\00:04:55.11
"I know for certain
that you would gain time,
00:04:55.15\00:04:57.66
because you see
that my decision is firm,
00:04:57.69\00:05:00.78
if you do not make
known the dream to me,
00:05:00.81\00:05:03.77
there is only
one decree for you!
00:05:03.80\00:05:06.52
For you have agreed to
speak lying and corrupt words

before me till
the time has changed.

Therefore tell me the dream,

and I shall know that you
can give me the interpretation."

At that time the
Chaldeans who were considered

to be the philosophers
tried to reason with the king.

Here is what they said,

"The Chaldeans
answered the king, and said,

"There is not a man on earth
who can tell the king's matter,
00:05:35.16\00:05:39.64
therefore no king,
lord, or ruler has ever asked
00:05:39.67\00:05:44.06
such things of any magician,
astrologer, or Chaldean.
00:05:44.09\00:05:49.81
It is a difficult
thing that the king requests,

and there is no
other who can tell it
00:05:53.35\00:05:55.69
to the king except the gods,
00:05:55.72\00:05:57.74
whose dwelling
is not with flesh."

The king at this
time was growing impatient

and he became very, very angry.

He actually put out a decree

and he said that all
the wise men will be killed

because if they
cannot give him his dream

and the interpretation then
they really can't be wise men

and he put out that decree
that they will all be killed.

Well there were three Hebrew,

four Hebrew
young men at that time
00:06:32.64\00:06:35.01
that were taken
captivity into Babylon.

One was the Prophet
Daniel, and he was a young man,
00:06:38.88\00:06:42.00
they were teenagers at that time
00:06:42.03\00:06:44.49
and he had three of his
friend who was Shadrach,
00:06:44.52\00:06:47.78
Meshach, and Abednego.
00:06:47.81\00:06:50.62
And these four young
men were now in captivity
00:06:50.65\00:06:54.15
in Babylon and they were
serving in the king's court.
00:06:54.18\00:06:57.58
Well they were
part of the wise men,
00:06:57.61\00:07:00.58
part of the astrologers,
sorcerers and so on.
00:07:00.61\00:07:03.60
So when the king
issued that decree

that they will all be killed,

Daniel didn't know
what was going on yet,

so he went to the captain,
the king's captain Arioch

and he said what, what is
going on I heard something
00:07:15.47\00:07:19.54
and Arioch
explained to him what happened
00:07:19.57\00:07:21.61
that the king had this
dream and called the wise men
00:07:21.64\00:07:26.90
and asked them for
the interpretation.
00:07:26.93\00:07:30.26
And Arioch says, they
could not give him either
00:07:30.29\00:07:33.87
the dream or the
interpretation so he issued
00:07:33.90\00:07:35.91
the decree to have
them killed and Daniel
00:07:35.94\00:07:40.94
who served the God of
Abraham, the living God,
00:07:40.97\00:07:46.10
he went to Arioch
and he said Arioch,
00:07:46.13\00:07:50.01
he said please ask
the king to give me
00:07:50.04\00:07:55.52
some more time
and so Arioch listened
00:07:55.55\00:07:59.10
to what Daniel had to
say because he said may be
00:07:59.13\00:08:01.88
I can interpret it.
00:08:01.91\00:08:03.82
So, Arioch listened to
him and he went to the king
00:08:03.85\00:08:07.20
and the king said
okay, we will give Daniel
00:08:07.23\00:08:10.79
some more time.
00:08:10.82\00:08:11.85
But we don't know
why the king did that,
00:08:11.88\00:08:13.92
there was something
about Daniel and his friends
00:08:13.95\00:08:17.18
that had the king give
them a little bit more time.
00:08:17.21\00:08:23.81
Daniel then went to his home
00:08:23.84\00:08:26.63
and he met with
his three friends
00:08:26.66\00:08:28.22
and he told them what took place
00:08:28.25\00:08:31.08
and so the three of them decided
00:08:31.11\00:08:33.30
that they were going to
fast and they were going
00:08:33.33\00:08:36.08
to pray and they were
going to ask the living God,
00:08:36.11\00:08:39.10
the God of Abraham, the
Creator God to help them,
00:08:39.13\00:08:45.46
to show them what
the king's dreams was
00:08:45.49\00:08:47.79
and to give them
the interpretation.
00:08:47.82\00:08:50.74
Let's look at what happens.

"Then the secret was revealed
to Daniel in a night vision.
00:08:54.08\00:08:59.60
So Daniel blessed
the God of heaven."

Let's look at Daniel's prayer
and praise to the Creator God

for answering the men,
the young men's prayer.

Here is what he said after
the dream was revealed to him.

"Blessed be the name
of God forever and ever,
00:09:16.46\00:09:20.16
for wisdom and might are His.
00:09:20.19\00:09:23.44
And He changes the
times and the seasons;
00:09:23.47\00:09:26.53
He removes kings
and raises up kings;
00:09:26.56\00:09:30.11
He gives wisdom to the
wise and knowledge to those
00:09:30.14\00:09:33.67
who have
understanding. He reveals deep
00:09:33.70\00:09:37.08
and secret things;
00:09:37.11\00:09:38.97
He knows what
is in the darkness,
00:09:39.00\00:09:42.16
and light dwells in Him.
00:09:42.19\00:09:45.30
I thank You and praise
You, O God of my fathers;

You have given
me wisdom and might,

and now made known to
me what we asked of You,

for You have made known
to us the king's demand."

You know, when I go
to my father in heaven

because you see
the holy book says

that God tells
us call me father,

Abba father and so
when I go to my father

and I pray and I
take my sorrows, my joys,

my request to
Him, He listens to me

and He listens to me
because I'm His child
00:10:32.98\00:10:35.27
because He loves me and
this is what He did with Daniel.

Daniel is His child and
He was not glorifying Daniel
00:10:41.21\00:10:45.79
but Daniel and his
friends were so loyal
00:10:45.82\00:10:48.73
to the Creator God
and they prayed to Him
00:10:48.76\00:10:52.33
three times a day, they fasted
00:10:52.36\00:10:55.95
and they were very loyal to Him.
00:10:55.98\00:10:59.68
They had a close
intimate relationship
00:10:59.71\00:11:04.10
with the God of
heaven and so God glorified
00:11:04.13\00:11:08.54
them by giving them the
dream and the interpretation.

So after
praising the Creator God

and after
thanking and blessing Him,

Daniel hurried to the
captain to Arioch and he said,

go tell the king, I
know what his dream is,

I can tell him what his dream
00:11:26.97\00:11:28.23
and I can give him
the interpretation also.
00:11:28.26\00:11:31.82
So Arioch went
and told the king.

Now this is very
important because you see

Daniel could have
said kill the wise men,
00:11:39.70\00:11:43.36
take the sorcerers
and the astrologers
00:11:43.39\00:11:46.10
who said that they can
tell the king the dream
00:11:46.13\00:11:49.73
and the interpretation,
he could have said
00:11:49.76\00:11:52.09
it he says because
I can tell the king,
00:11:52.12\00:11:54.68
they couldn't but you know
00:11:54.71\00:11:56.52
that was not Daniel's
character, that was not his way.
00:11:56.55\00:12:01.48
You see Daniel knew that
it was the God of heaven,
00:12:01.51\00:12:06.56
the Creator God that
revealed the secrets to him.
00:12:06.59\00:12:10.47
It was nothing to do
with him and so instead he,
00:12:10.50\00:12:15.09
when he went to the
king as we will see,
00:12:15.12\00:12:17.43
he asked for
those men to be spared.
00:12:17.46\00:12:20.00
He did not want
glory for himself.
00:12:20.03\00:12:22.29
It was all about the Creator God
00:12:22.32\00:12:25.85
that's who Daniel
wanted to show the king

that this is the true
God, the God of Abraham.

brought before the king here

I think the king
doubted Daniel a little bit

because he was young and may be

a little experience so the king

to make known the dream

and its interpretation to me?

Well Daniel was ready to do just

"Daniel answered in the
presence of the king, and said,

"The secret which
the king has demanded,

and the soothsayers
cannot declare to the king.

But there is a God in
heaven who reveals secrets,

and He has made known
to King Nebuchadnezzar

what will be in the latter days.

Your dream, and
the visions of your

head upon your bed, were these.

Again no one could
tell King Nebuchadnezzar

his dream or the interpretation.

No one except the Creator God

who choose one of His followers
to reveal that secret to.

He couldn't reveal it to
one of the worshipers in Babylon

who was in idolatry
who were worshiping idols

worshiping the Creator God,

it to the sorcerers

His own followers

who were loyal to Him to
reveal the secret to the king.

Daniel then proceeded to
reveal the dream to the king

and here is what he
said. "As for you, O king,

thoughts came to your
mind while on your bed,

about what would
come to pass after this;
00:14:54.12\00:14:57.48
and He who reveals
secrets has made known to you
00:14:57.51\00:15:00.57
what will be. But as for me,

this secret has
not been revealed to me

because I have more
wisdom than anyone living,

but for our sakes

who make known the
interpretation to the king,

and that you may know
the thoughts of your heart."

The young man Daniel
then explained to the king

that the reason God
reveled the secrets to him

Creator loved the king

and he was
interested in his affairs,

he knew the
thought's of the king's heart.

When the king
was laying in his bed

and that night
and he had that dream

it was because he was
worried about his kingdom,

what is the
future of his kingdom,

what was going to
happen. The Creator, our God,

our Father knew
the king's thoughts,

knew what was in his
heart and He wanted to revel

that to the king
because He cared about

the king even though
the king didn't know Him,

He love the king
and He cared about

everything that mattered to Him.

now as Daniel proceeds

to tell the king the dream

"You, O king, were watching;
00:16:25.87\00:16:28.48
and behold, a great
image! This great image,

whose splendor was
excellent, stood before you;
00:16:32.64\00:16:36.68
and its form was awesome.
00:16:36.71\00:16:39.46
This image's
head was of fine gold,
00:16:39.49\00:16:42.63
its chest and arms of silver,
its belly and thighs of bronze,

its legs of iron,
its feet partly of iron

and partly of clay.
00:16:52.99\00:16:55.59
You watched while a stone
was cut out without hands,

which struck the image on
its feet of iron and clay,

and broke them in pieces.

Then the iron, the
clay, the bronze, the silver,

and the gold
were crushed together,

and became like chaff from
the summer threshing floors,

the wind carried them away

so that no trace
of them was found.

And the stone
that struck the image

became a great mountain
and filled the whole earth.

This is the dream.

Now we will tell
the interpretation

Isn't the Creator God
full of compassion for us

even while we are in ignorance

and I was in ignorance
of who He was or anything

about Him and even though

we are in
ignorance of who He is,

He will do whatever
it takes to bring us

out of darkness into
light, into His truth.

Again remember Babylon

was a nation of
idolatry at that time.

Images were made
objects of worship
00:18:08.52\00:18:12.40
by the Babylonians
and our Father in heaven
00:18:12.43\00:18:16.06
knew how to get
the king's attention,
00:18:16.09\00:18:18.60
so what did He
use? An image, an image
00:18:18.63\00:18:23.22
and so the king
could relate to that
00:18:23.25\00:18:26.09
and it was a very,
very accurate representation
00:18:26.12\00:18:29.66
of the future
kingdoms of this earth.

are a king of kings.

For the God of heaven
has given you a kingdom,

power, strength, and glory.

And wherever the
children of men dwell,

or the beasts of the field
and the birds of the heaven,

He has given
them into your hand,

clay, so the kingdom

strong and partly fragile.

mixed with ceramic clay,

with the seed of men;
