As-Salaam-Alaikum, to our Muslim brother and sisters, 00:00:41.06\00:00:45.25 Shalom to our Hebrew cousins, 00:00:45.28\00:00:48.18 peace be upon you our Christian friends. 00:00:48.21\00:00:51.37 Welcome to "The Descendants of Abraham." 00:00:51.40\00:00:54.30 We're blessed with your presence here with us today. 00:00:54.33\00:00:57.91 Today in our program we'll look 00:00:57.94\00:01:00.10 at the beginning of Abraham's life. 00:01:00.13\00:01:02.92 And why he is such a prominent figure in Islam, 00:01:02.95\00:01:06.20 Judaism and Christianity. 00:01:06.23\00:01:09.28 The three major world religions honor Abraham 00:01:09.31\00:01:13.37 as their ancestral patriarch, and a man of faith 00:01:13.40\00:01:17.15 who believes in one God. 00:01:17.18\00:01:20.31 Judaism traced their lineage through the Son of Isaac. 00:01:20.34\00:01:25.47 Islam traced their lineage through Abraham's son Ishmael. 00:01:25.50\00:01:31.35 And Christianity tells us that 00:01:31.38\00:01:33.55 he is a spiritual ancestor justified by faith. 00:01:33.58\00:01:39.04 The Holy Bible in the book of beginnings, 00:01:39.07\00:01:42.40 the Book of Genesis, tells us that Abraham 00:01:42.43\00:01:45.89 was born in Ur of the Chaldees, 00:01:45.92\00:01:49.02 married a woman named Sarai. 00:01:49.05\00:01:51.80 And God promised to make of him a great nation. 00:01:51.83\00:01:57.63 The Creator God sends him on a long faith building journey, 00:01:57.66\00:02:03.00 eventually giving them new names. 00:02:03.03\00:02:07.72 The new names were Abraham and Sarah. 00:02:07.75\00:02:12.03 Who was this man called a friend of God? 00:02:12.06\00:02:16.80 This man of faith in the living God, 00:02:16.83\00:02:20.35 the one who choose to obey God rather than men. 00:02:20.38\00:02:25.78 Let's start at the beginning when the Creator God 00:02:25.81\00:02:29.25 first talked with Abraham. 00:02:29.28\00:02:32.09 In the Book of Genesis 12. 00:02:32.12\00:02:36.72 Genesis 12:1-4, "Now the Lord had said to Abram, 00:02:36.75\00:02:42.71 "Get out of your country, from your kindred. 00:02:42.74\00:02:45.88 And from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. 00:02:45.91\00:02:50.30 I will make you a great nation. 00:02:50.33\00:02:52.30 I will bless you and make your name great. 00:02:52.33\00:02:55.09 And you shall be a blessing. 00:02:55.12\00:02:57.50 I will bless those who bless you. 00:02:57.53\00:02:59.74 And I will curse him who curses you. 00:02:59.77\00:03:02.60 And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." 00:03:02.63\00:03:09.63 Why did God choose Abraham to be the father of all nations? 00:03:09.66\00:03:14.09 Let's take a look at the promise that the Lord made to Abraham 00:03:14.12\00:03:18.16 while he still lived in Haran. 00:03:18.19\00:03:20.65 Even though his whole family including his father Terah, 00:03:20.68\00:03:25.24 worshipped other god's idols. 00:03:25.27\00:03:28.69 Abraham was faithful to the one true God, 00:03:28.72\00:03:32.50 the same God that created Adam and Eve. 00:03:32.53\00:03:35.52 The same God that created Noah and who Noah worshipped. 00:03:35.55\00:03:41.81 Remember, the promise of God, 00:03:41.84\00:03:45.13 the promise that god made to Abraham. 00:03:45.16\00:03:48.14 "I will make you a great nation and I will bless you 00:03:48.17\00:03:52.68 and make your name great. 00:03:52.71\00:03:55.88 In you shall all families of the earth be blessed." 00:03:55.91\00:04:01.63 God did not say to Abraham that he was going to be the father 00:04:01.66\00:04:06.59 of one nation but of many nations. 00:04:06.62\00:04:10.96 But before the promise could be fulfilled, 00:04:10.99\00:04:13.54 Abraham was asked by the Creator God 00:04:13.57\00:04:16.07 to leave his country and his family, 00:04:16.10\00:04:19.32 everything he knew, everything that was familiar to him. 00:04:19.35\00:04:23.45 God asked him to leave behind. 00:04:23.48\00:04:26.94 To move from his father's house and to journey to a land 00:04:26.97\00:04:31.29 that was unknown to him. 00:04:31.32\00:04:34.60 Abraham was from the line of Shem. 00:04:34.63\00:04:38.36 And God chose him to be the keeper 00:04:38.39\00:04:40.77 of His law for future generations. 00:04:40.80\00:04:44.90 Abraham did not make or take part 00:04:44.93\00:04:47.47 in idolatry as his family did. 00:04:47.50\00:04:50.44 God could trust him as He trusted those before Abraham. 00:04:50.47\00:04:55.95 God's will and his law was entrusted to Adam, 00:04:55.98\00:05:00.97 to Seth, to Enoch, Methuselah, 00:05:01.00\00:05:04.82 Noah and Shem and then Abraham. 00:05:04.85\00:05:10.78 Our God is a creator of all things. 00:05:10.81\00:05:14.96 He chose Abraham to bless all the families of the earth. 00:05:14.99\00:05:20.62 You will notice that there was no mention 00:05:20.65\00:05:23.30 of a Jewish nation here. 00:05:23.33\00:05:25.49 Abraham was the one chosen by the creator 00:05:25.52\00:05:28.57 to preserve the knowledge 00:05:28.60\00:05:30.77 and the worship of the one true God. 00:05:30.80\00:05:33.77 There were no Jews, there were no Israelites at that time. 00:05:33.80\00:05:39.68 God is a God of all people. 00:05:39.71\00:05:44.31 He does not discriminate or segregate. 00:05:44.34\00:05:47.88 He is a God for all mankind regardless of color, 00:05:47.91\00:05:52.25 education, race or nationality. 00:05:52.28\00:05:56.01 He created each one of us for his purpose. 00:05:56.04\00:06:02.11 The creator did not create so many religions, 00:06:02.14\00:06:06.34 all the different religions that we have in this world 00:06:06.37\00:06:09.51 that was not created by Him. 00:06:09.54\00:06:12.04 That was all created by man. 00:06:12.07\00:06:14.13 Man is the one that has chosen his own God and his own path. 00:06:14.16\00:06:19.77 There is only one God, one truth, and one way. 00:06:19.80\00:06:25.95 Abraham was to be a blessing to all not to some. 00:06:25.98\00:06:30.94 Not to one privileged group or people. 00:06:30.97\00:06:34.53 In the Book of Hebrews in the Injeel, 00:06:34.56\00:06:38.23 we read in Hebrews 11:8. 00:06:38.26\00:06:43.50 "By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out 00:06:43.53\00:06:47.46 to the place which he would afterward 00:06:47.49\00:06:49.87 receive as an inheritance. 00:06:49.90\00:06:52.67 And he went out, not knowing where he was going." 00:06:52.70\00:06:58.50 What is faith? 00:06:58.53\00:07:02.48 Judaism, Islam and Christianity 00:07:02.51\00:07:05.67 all acknowledge that Abraham was the father of faith. 00:07:05.70\00:07:10.09 But what is faith. 00:07:10.12\00:07:12.87 Again in the Injeel, in Hebrews 11:1, 00:07:12.90\00:07:16.72 we read this description of faith. 00:07:16.75\00:07:20.50 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, 00:07:20.53\00:07:24.68 and the evidence of things not seen." 00:07:24.71\00:07:30.51 So what is that Abraham was hoping for but could not seek? 00:07:30.54\00:07:36.32 Abraham never questioned his God. 00:07:36.35\00:07:39.61 He simply obeyed Him. 00:07:39.64\00:07:42.20 Abraham believed in the promise that God made to him. 00:07:42.23\00:07:47.31 He left his home, his relatives, his native land 00:07:47.34\00:07:52.67 and followed where God was leading. 00:07:52.70\00:07:56.27 All though Abraham did not know where he was going. 00:07:56.30\00:07:59.66 He knew, he could trust his God. 00:07:59.69\00:08:03.62 He did not question if he will like the place 00:08:03.65\00:08:06.60 where God was taking him. 00:08:06.63\00:08:08.43 If there are good job opportunities, 00:08:08.46\00:08:11.05 what the weather was like, what the people are like. 00:08:11.08\00:08:14.51 He never questioned. 00:08:14.54\00:08:17.00 Abraham was living in Ur of the Chaldees, 00:08:17.03\00:08:20.91 when God called him to move. 00:08:20.94\00:08:23.48 His father Terah and his family moved with Abraham to Haran. 00:08:23.51\00:08:30.65 Terah and the rest of the family mixed the worship 00:08:30.68\00:08:34.62 of the true God with other idolatrous practices. 00:08:34.65\00:08:40.64 They stayed in Haran until Terah died, Abraham father. 00:08:40.67\00:08:44.68 After the death of Terah, God once again came 00:08:44.71\00:08:49.22 and spoke to Abraham and told him it's time to move on. 00:08:49.25\00:08:55.16 His brother Nahor and his family decided to stay in Haran 00:08:55.19\00:08:59.15 holding on to their homes and their traditions. 00:08:59.18\00:09:04.30 They did not move with Abraham. 00:09:04.33\00:09:08.91 Abraham and his wife Sarah and his Lot nephew, 00:09:08.94\00:09:13.50 and his nephew Lot continued one to the land that God promised. 00:09:13.53\00:09:18.32 And God blessed Abraham with many servants 00:09:18.35\00:09:21.32 and flocks and herds, all the riches 00:09:21.35\00:09:25.42 of the east at that time. 00:09:25.45\00:09:28.46 Abraham knew that when he left Haran and all his relatives 00:09:28.49\00:09:32.99 that he would probably never ever 00:09:33.02\00:09:35.81 return there or see them again. 00:09:35.84\00:09:38.63 Yet, he was willing to do this because 00:09:38.66\00:09:42.34 his God meant everything to him. 00:09:42.37\00:09:47.07 God had spoken again and Abraham obeyed. 00:09:47.10\00:09:52.60 If you want peace and joy that this world cannot give, 00:09:52.63\00:09:59.21 then God's leading in your life is what you need to obey 00:09:59.24\00:10:03.66 when God talks to you when He speaks to you, 00:10:03.69\00:10:06.10 when you feel He is leading you, obey Him as Abraham did. 00:10:06.13\00:10:10.73 And you will have that peace, you will have that blessing, 00:10:10.76\00:10:14.22 that is a promise of our Creator God. 00:10:14.25\00:10:18.55 I know that this was not an easy thing for Abraham to do. 00:10:18.58\00:10:23.78 To leave all, I too had to walk that road. 00:10:23.81\00:10:29.53 I remember too clearly when I told my father 00:10:29.56\00:10:33.02 that I was choosing to follow the true God of Abraham. 00:10:33.05\00:10:37.99 I remember when I called him and I talked to him on the phone 00:10:38.02\00:10:45.37 and I told him "Daddy I have accepted 00:10:45.40\00:10:49.81 the true God of Abraham, the God of the holy Injeel." 00:10:49.84\00:10:57.50 I will not go into details but I still remember talking to him 00:10:57.53\00:11:04.61 on the phone and when I told him that the phone 00:11:04.64\00:11:08.57 the click of the phone when he hung up 00:11:08.60\00:11:11.66 and I knew that at that time I was being separated 00:11:11.69\00:11:17.24 from my family because I chose to follow the God of Abraham. 00:11:17.27\00:11:23.14 It was painful for me and I'm sure painful for my family too. 00:11:23.17\00:11:28.89 But it was a choice that I had to make. 00:11:28.92\00:11:32.06 There was no other way. 00:11:32.09\00:11:33.89 I had to make that choice to choose to follow 00:11:33.92\00:11:37.30 the one true living God. 00:11:37.33\00:11:40.21 That same God that father Abraham worshipped. 00:11:40.24\00:11:45.95 The ties to our native land, our families, 00:11:45.98\00:11:50.19 our friends of the same faith and culture are very strong 00:11:50.22\00:11:55.72 ties especially to those of us with 00:11:55.75\00:11:58.25 the eastern mindset, very strong ties. 00:11:58.28\00:12:01.72 I know this by personal experience 00:12:01.75\00:12:04.85 with my brothers and sisters. 00:12:04.88\00:12:07.36 I will never tell you that it is an easy road. 00:12:07.39\00:12:11.89 But I will tell you that it's the right road, 00:12:11.92\00:12:15.51 the right path, the right way. 00:12:15.54\00:12:18.59 The only way to find peace 00:12:18.62\00:12:21.30 and contentment in the God of Abraham. 00:12:21.33\00:12:27.09 Our final destination is the heavenly Canaan, 00:12:27.12\00:12:32.32 dwelling with the Creator God and holy angels. 00:12:32.35\00:12:37.80 This world, we know is not our land. 00:12:37.83\00:12:42.57 This world we're living now is very temporary. 00:12:42.60\00:12:48.47 Our destination, our final destination is to dwell 00:12:48.50\00:12:53.36 with the God of heaven and His holy beings. 00:12:53.39\00:12:57.84 And to live in peace without anymore pain, 00:12:57.87\00:13:02.50 without anymore sorrow, with the God who loves us, 00:13:02.53\00:13:06.75 with the God who forgives us. 00:13:06.78\00:13:10.12 This is our final destination not here on this earth. 00:13:10.15\00:13:17.34 But like father Abraham I too was given a choice. 00:13:17.37\00:13:22.96 God never ever forces us to do His will that is not who He is. 00:13:22.99\00:13:29.36 He is not a God that forces anyone. 00:13:29.39\00:13:32.50 He is a God that's His look, this is who I am. 00:13:32.53\00:13:36.37 this is a kind of God I am. 00:13:36.40\00:13:38.75 You can chose to follow Me or you can chose not to. 00:13:38.78\00:13:42.69 Never ever does He forces to worship Him. 00:13:42.72\00:13:47.60 He loves us too much for this. 00:13:47.63\00:13:49.59 He loves us too much to force and coerce us. 00:13:49.62\00:13:54.77 He is not a God that manipulates us or threatens us 00:13:54.80\00:13:59.23 if we chose to turn away from Him. 00:13:59.26\00:14:02.60 Again, because He wants us to be happy 00:14:02.63\00:14:08.04 with whatever choice we make. 00:14:08.07\00:14:10.69 But you know the only choice to truly be content and happy 00:14:10.72\00:14:15.42 is make the choice to follow Him. 00:14:15.45\00:14:19.23 He is a God of love, of forgiveness and of mercy, 00:14:19.26\00:14:27.06 not a God of condemnation. 00:14:27.09\00:14:31.81 Our God has a heart. 00:14:31.84\00:14:34.69 He feels things deeply especially for us. 00:14:34.72\00:14:41.04 When we chose our own way, we hurt Him. 00:14:41.07\00:14:46.48 When His people lost their love for Him, 00:14:46.51\00:14:50.66 here is what His response was. 00:14:50.69\00:14:53.35 Again read in the holy Injeel, 00:14:53.38\00:14:57.16 in Hosea 11:8 "My heart churns within Me." 00:14:57.19\00:15:01.29 "My heart churns within Me." 00:15:10.29\00:15:14.35 That is what our Creator God is saying when we rebel, 00:15:14.38\00:15:20.21 when we go to our own way, when we chose not to follow Him. 00:15:20.24\00:15:24.39 His heart churns within Him. 00:15:24.42\00:15:27.07 He hurts for us, with us. 00:15:27.10\00:15:32.28 He created us to be free moral agents and He does not change. 00:15:32.31\00:15:39.37 God is the same as He was in the beginning 00:15:39.40\00:15:43.85 and as He will be in the end. 00:15:43.88\00:15:46.23 He is now, God does not change, we change. 00:15:46.26\00:15:50.89 He gives us the freedom to worship Him, the God of Abraham. 00:15:50.92\00:15:56.68 Our worship whatever God we choose. 00:15:56.71\00:16:01.57 This kind of freedom only comes from the living God of Abraham. 00:16:01.60\00:16:08.40 I will choose to follow the God of Abraham 00:16:08.43\00:16:11.49 or hold on to the traditions of my culture and family, 00:16:11.52\00:16:18.21 which one would you choose. 00:16:18.24\00:16:20.14 I chose to follow Abraham's God. 00:16:20.17\00:16:24.51 Please do not hold on to the culture, 00:16:24.54\00:16:27.31 do not hold on to the traditions of the family, 00:16:27.34\00:16:31.15 seek the God of Abraham, seek the one true living God. 00:16:31.18\00:16:36.64 That is where you will find peace. 00:16:36.67\00:16:39.41 Like Abraham I had to choose 00:16:39.44\00:16:45.43 to worship and follow the Creator 00:16:45.46\00:16:49.05 and not the created. 00:16:49.08\00:16:51.54 But like Abraham before asking me to follow Him, 00:16:51.57\00:16:56.59 our loving heavenly Father showed himself 00:16:56.62\00:16:59.75 to me in so many different ways. 00:16:59.78\00:17:04.17 I wanted to know the truth and who the God of Abraham was. 00:17:04.20\00:17:09.61 I wanted to know why when God created me a woman 00:17:09.64\00:17:14.75 that I was made to feel unworthy of His love and mercy. 00:17:14.78\00:17:19.51 I was made to feel like 00:17:19.54\00:17:22.50 a second class citizen, like I didn't belong, 00:17:22.53\00:17:27.07 like I had to take-- stand behind everyone else. 00:17:27.10\00:17:34.49 That is not the kind of God that I can worship. 00:17:34.52\00:17:38.18 I use to ask Lord, God why you created me as a woman. 00:17:38.21\00:17:44.84 Then why is it I have to be treated as so unworthy. 00:17:44.87\00:17:52.46 But that is not what the holy Injeel says, 00:17:52.49\00:17:56.00 that is not what the true God of Abraham says. 00:17:56.03\00:17:59.60 That is not who he is. 00:17:59.63\00:18:04.57 As I searched for these truths, 00:18:04.60\00:18:07.13 God revealed to me the truth of who He is. 00:18:07.16\00:18:11.98 And I can give you so many different ways, 00:18:12.01\00:18:16.27 you know, we know, that God speaks to us in dreams, 00:18:16.30\00:18:20.54 in visions and He is spiritual and He is supernatural, 00:18:20.57\00:18:27.38 and He gave me so many supernatural experiences 00:18:27.41\00:18:31.34 that showed me the path to Him. 00:18:31.37\00:18:35.95 And that's the path I followed like Abraham still obeying 00:18:35.98\00:18:41.23 and hoping that when I came to the end of that path, 00:18:41.26\00:18:45.14 I will find the true God and I did. 00:18:45.17\00:18:48.62 And I have the peace and the contentment 00:18:48.65\00:18:50.69 of the joy of knowing my creator. 00:18:50.72\00:18:58.49 Many years ago, I had left the country left 00:18:58.52\00:19:03.84 my homeland and I moved to the United States, 00:19:03.87\00:19:09.07 I missed my family and I had called my daddy 00:19:09.10\00:19:13.00 I had left my Quran all back at home. 00:19:13.03\00:19:16.75 I called my daddy and I said, 00:19:16.78\00:19:18.84 "Daddy I need my Quran." 00:19:18.87\00:19:22.49 He sent me the 2 volumes, 2 volumes of the Quran 00:19:22.52\00:19:25.88 and I started reading and praying 00:19:25.91\00:19:29.76 and I take-- going to classes and so on. 00:19:29.79\00:19:33.82 And one of the things that happened 00:19:33.85\00:19:37.60 is that a fire broke out where I live in my dwelling. 00:19:37.63\00:19:43.46 And I had my Quran on the top of the shelf 00:19:43.49\00:19:49.64 there where I always kept them. 00:19:49.67\00:19:52.85 And when that fire broke out everything 00:19:52.88\00:19:58.19 around my Quran's was fine. 00:19:58.22\00:20:01.53 It was saved. 00:20:01.56\00:20:02.73 It wasn't burned up. 00:20:02.76\00:20:04.74 But my 2 volumes were burnt to ashes. 00:20:04.77\00:20:11.57 Brothers and sisters that hurt me, 00:20:11.60\00:20:14.59 I couldn't understand why that happened. 00:20:14.62\00:20:19.71 But as time went on and I obeyed and I listened 00:20:19.74\00:20:26.26 to the voice of the living God, the God of Abraham. 00:20:26.29\00:20:30.07 He showed me that He wanted me to learn more about 00:20:30.10\00:20:36.10 Him through experiences, through dreams, 00:20:36.13\00:20:41.06 through visions and I should obey those things. 00:20:41.09\00:20:43.96 He led me to the holy Injeel as the Quran points 00:20:43.99\00:20:49.62 to go to the people of the book and to read and I did. 00:20:49.65\00:20:54.73 I was afraid at first, I didn't want anything to do with it. 00:20:54.76\00:20:59.62 But I did and I found the true God of Abraham 00:20:59.65\00:21:06.04 the one that Abraham worshipped, not my family, 00:21:06.07\00:21:09.85 not the different tribes, 00:21:09.88\00:21:12.02 not the different nations but the one God. 00:21:12.05\00:21:16.80 I questioned to Lord of what was taking place in my life 00:21:16.83\00:21:20.95 and I did not at that time understand it. 00:21:20.98\00:21:24.43 But God was not going to leave me without answers. 00:21:24.46\00:21:28.57 Again turning to the holy Injeel, in Isaiah 55:9 00:21:28.61\00:21:36.42 we read, "For my thoughts 00:21:36.45\00:21:42.15 are not your thoughts. 00:21:42.18\00:21:44.17 nor are your ways My ways, "says the Lord. 00:21:44.20\00:21:48.14 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, 00:21:48.17\00:21:51.61 so are My ways higher than your ways, 00:21:51.64\00:21:55.16 and My thoughts than your thoughts." 00:21:55.19\00:22:02.30 The influence of our family and our friends 00:22:02.33\00:22:06.89 must never be allowed to interfere 00:22:06.92\00:22:09.80 with the Creator's purpose of our lives. 00:22:09.83\00:22:13.45 Many times God's people are called to dwell among strangers 00:22:13.48\00:22:17.62 so that His will, His purpose 00:22:17.65\00:22:20.23 for our lives could be fulfilled. 00:22:20.26\00:22:22.95 Do not think that true followers of God 00:22:22.98\00:22:26.39 evade problems in their lives. 00:22:26.42\00:22:28.81 As we will see in upcoming programs about Abraham, 00:22:28.84\00:22:32.19 there were many problems that he had to deal with. 00:22:32.22\00:22:35.72 But when you encounter problems and difficulties in your lives, 00:22:35.75\00:22:39.74 go to your heavenly Father in prayer. 00:22:39.77\00:22:42.14 Asking Him to give you the strength 00:22:42.17\00:22:44.28 to carry you through the problem, not to avoid it. 00:22:44.31\00:22:49.70 It is His way of refining you, shaping you, 00:22:49.73\00:22:52.58 into the person He created you to be. 00:22:52.61\00:22:55.54 He has a special purpose for you. 00:22:55.57\00:22:58.90 In the Book of Jeremiah 1:5, this is what He says about you. 00:22:58.93\00:23:04.90 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. 00:23:04.93\00:23:08.85 Before you were born I sanctified you." 00:23:08.88\00:23:14.40 We may not hear the voice of God from heaven as Abraham did. 00:23:14.43\00:23:18.85 But God may be trying to reach us through dreams, 00:23:18.88\00:23:22.14 visions and through His word. 00:23:22.17\00:23:25.04 If you will read His word prayerfully, 00:23:25.07\00:23:27.75 you will be aware of His presence. 00:23:27.78\00:23:30.52 I promise you that. 00:23:30.55\00:23:32.25 He may ask you to leave your careers, 00:23:32.28\00:23:34.92 your wealth and honor among men. 00:23:34.95\00:23:38.04 You may feel strong pull to search for the one true God. 00:23:38.07\00:23:42.49 The God that Abraham worshipped and trusted. 00:23:42.52\00:23:46.03 The God of love, forgiveness and compassion. 00:23:46.06\00:23:51.61 The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 146:3-4, 00:23:51.64\00:23:57.91 "Do not trust in princes or in man who cannot help you. 00:23:57.94\00:24:02.76 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth 00:24:02.79\00:24:06.07 and in that same day his plans perish." 00:24:06.10\00:24:11.30 The only one who will never fail you is the God 00:24:11.33\00:24:14.72 of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael. 00:24:14.75\00:24:19.34 Let's get a glimpse of our Father 00:24:19.37\00:24:21.13 through the experience of Moses. 00:24:21.16\00:24:23.23 When Moses asked God to reveal Himself, 00:24:23.26\00:24:25.80 here is what took place. 00:24:25.83\00:24:27.42 We read in the Book of Exodus 34:6-7. 00:24:27.45\00:24:32.15 "Then the Lord passed by in front of him, 00:24:32.18\00:24:34.84 Moses and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, 00:24:34.87\00:24:38.69 compassionate and gracious. 00:24:38.72\00:24:41.08 Slow to anger and abounding in love and kindness and truth. 00:24:41.11\00:24:45.32 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity 00:24:45.35\00:24:48.91 and transgression and sin." 00:24:48.94\00:24:53.43 Here we get some insight of who our Father 00:24:53.46\00:24:56.62 is when Moses needed comfort and assurance, 00:24:56.65\00:25:00.67 our Creator God showed Himself to Moses. 00:25:00.70\00:25:04.21 He revealed His character who He is, 00:25:04.24\00:25:07.47 not what He looked like. 00:25:07.50\00:25:09.56 One who is compassionate, gracious, patient, merciful, 00:25:09.59\00:25:15.33 forgiving our transgressions and sins and full of love 00:25:15.36\00:25:20.04 for His children, you and me. 00:25:20.07\00:25:23.06 He is a God that loves you so much. 00:25:23.09\00:25:26.04 You can trust him. 00:25:26.07\00:25:27.59 He will never let you down. 00:25:27.62\00:25:30.25 When you get to the Descendants of Abraham, 00:25:32.87\00:25:35.19 you can be sure that you're lighting the way 00:25:35.22\00:25:37.64 for all in search of the Creator God and His message of love 00:25:37.67\00:25:41.91 and forgiveness to all nations. 00:25:41.94\00:25:44.05 Thank you for your support and for your prayers. 00:25:44.08\00:25:47.76 All God directly. 00:26:07.66\00:26:09.54 You don't need anyone to speak for you. 00:26:09.57\00:26:12.97 We're told in the Book of Isaiah 1:18, 00:26:13.00\00:26:17.65 "Come now and let us reason together, says the Lord. 00:26:17.68\00:26:22.01 Though your sins be as scarlet, 00:26:22.04\00:26:24.25 they shall be as white as snow. 00:26:24.28\00:26:26.78 Though they are red like crimson, 00:26:26.81\00:26:29.14 they shall be as wool." 00:26:29.17\00:26:32.99 What kind of God is this that He bids me 00:26:33.02\00:26:37.22 and you to come and reason with Him? 00:26:37.25\00:26:42.42 And then He tells me that my sins, 00:26:42.45\00:26:45.84 my transgressions He will forgive. 00:26:45.87\00:26:49.99 This is the God that Abraham knew and loved. 00:26:50.02\00:26:56.68 He is a God as I mentioned before, does not force, 00:26:56.71\00:27:01.51 does not coerce, does not manipulate. 00:27:01.54\00:27:05.48 He pleads come, let us reason together come to Him, 00:27:05.51\00:27:10.80 talk with Him, reason with Him. 00:27:10.83\00:27:14.55 That is the God that loves you, that loves me. 00:27:14.58\00:27:18.49 He is a God that is compassionate. 00:27:18.52\00:27:21.78 He is a God that will forgive you, your sins. 00:27:21.81\00:27:25.52 No matter, what you have done, 00:27:25.55\00:27:27.54 He will forgive you your sins. 00:27:27.57\00:27:30.56 Do not be afraid to come to Him. 00:27:30.59\00:27:33.14 Come to Him, ask Him to guide in your life. 00:27:33.17\00:27:38.06 He is listening and waiting for your voice. 00:27:38.09\00:27:41.53
