00:03:19.89\00:03:24.40 Nausea at the beginning of pregnancy 00:03:24.43\00:03:26.74 is often referred to as morning sickness. 00:03:26.77\00:03:30.47 This is one of the first signs of pregnancy. 00:03:30.51\00:03:33.98 And usually occurs during the first trimester. 00:03:34.01\00:03:37.58 Usually occurring right round the seventh week, 00:03:37.61\00:03:40.95 the good news is that in the vast majority of cases 00:03:40.98\00:03:45.02 there is no threat or danger 00:03:45.05\00:03:47.86 to either the mother or the baby. 00:03:47.89\00:03:50.26 There are some rare cases however, also contribute to this acid backup. 00:06:24.18\00:06:28.18 So what are some things you can do 00:06:28.22\00:06:31.05 to help relieve the situation? 00:06:31.09\00:06:33.36 Not drinking with your meals will help, 00:06:33.39\00:06:35.19 so that you can more easily digest your food 00:06:35.22\00:06:37.79 and prevent some of that acid reflux. 00:06:37.83\00:06:40.53 Avoid fried and spicy foods 00:06:40.56\00:06:42.86 and stick with those easily digested and nutritious items. 00:06:42.90\00:06:47.60 It is also recommended 00:06:47.64\00:06:48.97 that you not lie down right after eating.
