Who is Michael?

He is the great Prince which

Well first of all let's
revisit the subject of Michael.

In our study on Chapter 10 of
Daniel we identified Michael and

were very careful to identify
Him as the pre-incarnate

Jesus Christ, and yet to
carefully point out that by

identifying Michael as
Jesus, before His incarnation,

this in no way indicates
that Jesus is a created being,

or one of the angelic host
but rather the chief of the

Angels, the one under
whose charge are all the angelic

armies of heaven.

We know that Michael is
Jesus for a number of reasons.

Among them Michael, the
name means one who is like God.

Jesus when He came to this
world was identified as One

who is like God.

He is the perfect radiant,
beautiful Revelation of the

character of the Father.

He has brought that
Revelation into our world in His

person, in His sacrifice on
the cross, in His resurrection,

His ascension to
the throne of heaven,

and His mediation in
the heavenly sanctuary.

The entire ministry of
Jesus communicates to us the

character of God, Jesus
is Michael for that reason.

But also we know that
Michael is Jesus because He is

identified throughout the
book of Daniel as the Prince

of the host, the Prince
of the covenant I should say.

Prince of the people of Israel.

And Messiah the Prince,
and right here the great Prince

which stands for the
children of Your people.

We know that is pointing
to our Savior, our Messiah

Jesus Christ and we
see Him standing up.

Which means that He is
now going to take His place,

His position as ruler of
the kingdoms of this world.

The kingdoms of this world
are going to fall, as it has

the image of Daniel 2.

Michael is going to stand
up and these kingdoms are going

to become God's kingdom.

They are going to again be
reestablished and God's throne

established upon this earth.

It will be reestablished
under the leadership,

Chapter 12 a happy ending.

struggle that has taken place

A time when the struggles
between a religious liberty and

message and that battle
takes us all the way down to the

stands up to deliver us.

the point at which Michael

stands up is a time in history

pretty serious time in history.

We are going to see it intensify
and become more frequent,

with wars and rumors of

the leaders, the presidents,

the rulers of this world seeking
to work together more and

some way the economic downfall

factions that are developing and

We are going to see everything
they try to do utterly fail in

the end and the only solution,
the only bomb, the only hope

for us is to put our complete
trust in the kingdom and power

I want to point out that
as these signs of the times,

as we often referred to them
in Matthew 24, unfold it says

there is going to be
war, kingdom will rise against

kingdom, nation against nation.

It says there's going to
be famine and pestilence in

verse 7, it says there's
going to be natural disasters,

earthquakes increasing
obviously because verse 8 says

that this is the beginning of
sorrows, or birth pains, which

the original language
indicates that this is like

a woman who has gone into labor.

The symbolism is that her
contractions become more and
00:07:22.27\00:07:26.14
more intense and
more and more frequent.

So Jesus is telling us that
there have been these things

all through history,
wars and rumors of wars and

pestilence and earthquakes etc..

All of this stuff has
been going on throughout human

history but it is going
to become more intense, more

frequent as we
near the end of time.

Then Jesus says in verse 9,
"they will deliver you up to"

"tribulation,"
that is to trouble.

"They will kill you and you
will be hated by all nations"

that Jesus says you will

It sounds there are like
there is going to be an alliance

between nations.

We see all the present
situation in the world,

toward a unification of

powers in the world.

economically first and foremost.

military and maybe legislative

and that is the word name.

your people will be delivered"

Here is the people who were
serving God, a people who are

These people are written in
a book, they are the ones that

book and therefore will be

delivered in this time of
trouble such as never was.

So what this is telling us

preparation for what is ahead,

the crises that we are
in and are moving deeper

spiritual preparation.

like Him in character.

That is what is going to
carry us through this time of

It is logical and it makes
sense to prepare ourselves for

this end time
crisis, economically.

It would be very wise for us to
strategically put ourselves in

a position where
during this time of trouble

we are not indebted heavily
so we are not a part of it.

We are not drastically affected
by the economic troubles

that are going to come.

what Bible prophecy is pointing

persecutions and
mockings and misunderstandings.

They lost their goods and
had no certain place to dwell.

You look at the early church,
and look at Paul, he was in

prison, he was beaten, he
was jailed, he was stoned,

and he was shipped wrecked.

But he was able to
endure all of that, Why?

his focus on Jesus.
