How you guys doing out there? 00:12:07.19\00:12:09.32 And today we're talking about something 00:12:09.36\00:12:10.69 I'll tell you is important, very important 00:12:10.73\00:12:13.06 actually talking about being positive, being positive. 00:12:13.09\00:12:16.87 You know ironically while on this 25, 00:12:16.90\00:12:20.34 this 28 day challenge, you know I've experienced some, 00:12:20.37\00:12:22.80 some hardship. 00:12:22.84\00:12:24.17 You know sometimes in life you, 00:12:24.21\00:12:25.54 you have things that are unexpected. 00:12:25.57\00:12:27.78 And you have people around you that 00:12:27.81\00:12:29.68 you know are counting on you to, to be encouraging 00:12:29.71\00:12:31.81 if that make sense? 00:12:31.85\00:12:33.18 You know so, on this program I got a call. 00:12:33.21\00:12:35.42 Got a call from my dad. 00:12:35.45\00:12:37.39 And I got a call that my dad had had cancer. 00:12:37.42\00:12:40.46 And I tell you, friends, it was, 00:12:40.49\00:12:41.86 it was challenging to know that my dad came down 00:12:41.89\00:12:44.63 with literally stage four cancer, 00:12:44.66\00:12:47.30 and you can imagine 00:12:47.33\00:12:48.66 as we were having all this fun 00:12:48.70\00:12:50.03 and, and you're living with this reality 00:12:50.07\00:12:52.10 that your dad, my dad has cancer. 00:12:52.13\00:12:54.50 Cancer in the lung, cancer in the liver, 00:12:54.54\00:12:57.61 cancer in the brain 00:12:57.64\00:12:59.21 and it was a very serious thing. 00:12:59.24\00:13:00.98 But the only thing that he said to me is that 00:13:01.01\00:13:02.74 he didn't even want to tell me, Chef Law. 00:13:02.78\00:13:04.91 Because he didn't want me to stop what I was doing. 00:13:04.95\00:13:06.58 Oh, yeah. 00:13:06.61\00:13:07.95 But you know as a son when you know 00:13:07.98\00:13:09.62 that your dad is sick, what you got to do, Chef Law? 00:13:09.65\00:13:11.35 You got to stop everything. 00:13:11.39\00:13:12.72 You got to stop everything and go home. 00:13:12.75\00:13:14.09 But what I learned and being around my dad, 00:13:14.12\00:13:15.82 the only thing that he said, he said, son, 00:13:15.86\00:13:17.63 he just gave me the encouragement to say, 00:13:17.66\00:13:19.36 "Everything's going to be all right." 00:13:19.39\00:13:20.73 Regardless of what happens to him, 00:13:20.76\00:13:22.10 he wanted me to just be positive. 00:13:22.13\00:13:23.47 Yes, right. 00:13:23.50\00:13:24.83 And even when I came around him in that experience 00:13:24.87\00:13:26.84 and he's going to the, 00:13:26.87\00:13:28.50 to getting this cancer treatment, 00:13:28.54\00:13:30.37 the thing that he wanted most importantly from me 00:13:30.41\00:13:32.04 was to do what? 00:13:32.07\00:13:33.41 Be positive. Be positive. Be positive. 00:13:33.44\00:13:34.78 And so I share that with you, friends, is that 00:13:34.81\00:13:36.58 in life at times we go through trials and tribulations, 00:13:36.61\00:13:39.41 we go through problems that was unexpected, 00:13:39.45\00:13:41.45 but in it all we can know that what? 00:13:41.48\00:13:43.49 Someone higher than us is in control, amen. 00:13:43.52\00:13:44.89 He's in control. 00:13:44.92\00:13:46.25 He's in control, and God expects from us 00:13:46.29\00:13:47.89 as being to be a light even in a dark place, 00:13:47.92\00:13:50.59 if that make sense? 00:13:50.63\00:13:51.96 As a matter of fact, light shine brighter 00:13:51.99\00:13:53.33 when it gets to... 00:13:53.36\00:13:54.70 Come on now. Come on now. 00:13:54.73\00:13:56.06 And so, friends, I come to you with joy today, 00:13:56.10\00:13:57.97 even though yes my father is, 00:13:58.00\00:13:59.50 is has gone through his illness but I tell you, Chef Law, 00:13:59.53\00:14:02.24 him being positive he's gone from only able to stand up 00:14:02.27\00:14:05.17 for one hour in a day, now, 00:14:05.21\00:14:07.01 he's actually driving again, can you imagine? 00:14:07.04\00:14:08.38 Okay. He's rolling. 00:14:08.41\00:14:09.74 He's rolling he's driving again and so I have to say, 00:14:09.78\00:14:11.71 "Praise the Lord". 00:14:11.75\00:14:13.42 And so I tell you, friends, a merry heart do with good, 00:14:13.45\00:14:17.15 like a medicine. 00:14:17.19\00:14:18.52 A merry heart do with good like a medicine. 00:14:18.55\00:14:21.22 And so some of you all might be going through 00:14:21.26\00:14:22.82 similar situations, you might have a loved one 00:14:22.86\00:14:24.69 who may be having, who might have cancer. 00:14:24.73\00:14:26.56 You might even yourself may be dealing with, 00:14:26.59\00:14:28.63 let's say cancer or even some other illnesses. 00:14:28.66\00:14:30.87 Just know that God is in control. 00:14:30.90\00:14:34.27 You see... Go ahead, Chef Law. 00:14:34.30\00:14:35.64 You can't change everything 00:14:35.67\00:14:37.01 that's going to happen to you in life, 00:14:37.04\00:14:38.37 but you always can control how you will react to it. 00:14:38.41\00:14:42.44 Nobody can take your smile away as I say, 00:14:42.48\00:14:45.21 nobody can make you frown if you don't choose it. 00:14:45.25\00:14:47.58 Amen. Amen. Should always be positive. 00:14:47.62\00:14:48.95 And so we want you all to understand that. 00:14:48.98\00:14:50.52 Yes, life has its problems. 00:14:50.55\00:14:52.49 Life has disease but you know even in disease 00:14:52.52\00:14:55.69 we learn as we've been talking about our faith. 00:14:55.72\00:14:57.69 We've learned that God somehow some way spoke life 00:14:57.73\00:15:00.76 into existence. 00:15:00.80\00:15:02.13 He said, "Let there be light." 00:15:02.16\00:15:03.67 And in the Bible in the Book of John, it says, 00:15:03.70\00:15:05.57 "The light was the life." 00:15:05.60\00:15:07.07 The light and the life are the same thing. 00:15:07.10\00:15:08.97 Remember we read that. Yes, we read that. 00:15:09.00\00:15:10.34 So when God said, "Let there be light." 00:15:10.37\00:15:11.71 He also was saying to us. 00:15:11.74\00:15:13.31 Let there be a life.
