To finish it. 00:07:38.55\00:07:39.89 So let's read what the Bible says, 00:07:39.92\00:07:41.26 Philippians 1:6 says, 00:07:41.29\00:07:42.72 "Being confident of this very thing, 00:07:42.76\00:07:45.29 that he which hath begun a good work in you 00:07:45.33\00:07:48.40 will perform it until the day of Christ Jesus." 00:07:48.43\00:07:52.17 God wants you to know that He always finishes 00:07:52.20\00:07:54.90 what He starts. 00:07:54.94\00:07:56.50 He hasn't started anything that He is not gonna finish 00:07:56.54\00:07:59.21 and the thing that He started doing 00:07:59.24\00:08:01.31 when He brought Christ down to this earth 00:08:01.34\00:08:03.18 was cleansing from sin. 00:08:03.21\00:08:05.31 Come on now. 00:08:05.35\00:08:06.68 So ultimately Christ wants to cleanse us from our sins? 00:08:06.72\00:08:10.02 He wants to cleanse us from our sins. 00:08:10.05\00:08:11.42 Now notice this, the second time, 00:08:11.45\00:08:14.29 I didn't say the first, the second time 00:08:14.32\00:08:16.39 you are introduced to Jesus, 00:08:16.42\00:08:18.46 introduced to Christ it's in the Book of Matthew. 00:08:18.49\00:08:20.40 And that might sound confusing but it won't later. 00:08:20.43\00:08:22.56 The second time you're introduced to Him 00:08:22.60\00:08:24.20 is when He comes to this earth 00:08:24.23\00:08:25.67 and that book says, "Call His name Jesus, 00:08:25.70\00:08:28.10 for He shall save His people from their sins." 00:08:28.14\00:08:30.97 Come on now. Come on now. 00:09:08.04\00:09:09.38 So what else do we have about 00:09:09.41\00:09:10.75 Christ finishing that work in us? 00:09:10.78\00:09:12.11 What else can we look at? 00:09:12.15\00:09:13.48 Well, the first time Jesus is introduced, 00:09:13.52\00:09:14.85 now Christ said, He is going to finish the work. 00:09:14.88\00:09:16.22 He said, He is going to do this cleansing from sin, 00:09:16.25\00:09:17.75 but has He given us any sign 00:09:17.79\00:09:20.16 that He even has the power to do this? 00:09:20.19\00:09:21.76 Come on now. 00:09:21.79\00:09:23.12 So Colossians says, Colossians 1 says that, 00:09:23.16\00:09:25.46 "Christ created all things." Come on. 00:09:25.49\00:09:28.33 So actually the very first time 00:09:28.36\00:09:29.73 we're introduced to Jesus is in the Book of Genesis... 00:09:29.76\00:09:32.17 With Him creating the heavens and the earth. 00:09:32.20\00:09:34.87 Come on now. And the Bible says... 00:09:34.90\00:09:36.24 "He created the heavens in six days 00:09:36.27\00:09:38.07 and He rested on the seventh day." 00:09:38.11\00:09:40.24 The seventh-day Sabbath is a sign 00:09:40.28\00:09:42.84 of the finished work of creation. 00:09:42.88\00:09:44.48 Come on, I like that. 00:09:44.51\00:09:45.85 And the same power that God used in creation, 00:09:45.88\00:09:47.42 He is going to use to create you into a new creature... 00:09:47.45\00:09:50.19 He is going to use to create you into a vessel of love, 00:09:50.22\00:09:52.89 He is going to use it to wipe and wash away your sins. 00:09:52.92\00:09:56.06 And so the seventh-day Sabbath is a sign, a memorial 00:09:56.09\00:09:59.59 that God can finish the work. 00:09:59.63\00:10:02.00 So every week you have a memorial 00:10:02.03\00:10:03.73 of a finished work taking place. 00:10:03.77\00:10:05.10 Come on now, and, friends, looking at that seventh-day, 00:10:05.13\00:10:08.07 it was a symbol of rest, of rest or you can say 00:10:08.10\00:10:11.14 a cleansing, a rest from sin. 00:10:11.17\00:10:13.81 And so ultimately, God wants us to rest in Him. 00:10:13.84\00:10:16.71 God wants us to realize as He did in those six days, 00:10:16.75\00:10:19.41 He made the heavens and the earth 00:10:19.45\00:10:20.78 and again He put a seal on it, on that seventh day, 00:10:20.82\00:10:22.78 God wants us to stick with this journey. 00:10:22.82\00:10:24.95 We got 28 days, 00:10:24.99\00:10:26.35 and we're just moving right along 00:10:26.39\00:10:27.96 and we're almost done. 00:10:27.99\00:10:29.59 And God is going to say, it is finished soon with this. 00:10:29.62\00:10:32.49 He is gonna say, listen, those 28 days have been done 00:10:32.53\00:10:34.76 but next, I want you to go ahead 00:10:34.80\00:10:36.26 and move on even higher, higher places, 00:10:36.30\00:10:39.73 to a higher, a higher ground as the song says. 00:10:39.77\00:10:43.64 Yes.
