Victory, I'm doing good. 00:06:55.88\00:06:57.55 How're you doing, Chef? Come on now. Come on now. 00:06:57.58\00:06:58.91 How're you guys doing out there? 00:06:58.95\00:07:00.28 So go ahead and give us 00:07:00.32\00:07:01.65 the scripture for today on victory. 00:07:01.68\00:07:03.25 What are we talking about? 00:07:03.28\00:07:04.62 All right, let's see what the Scripture 00:07:04.65\00:07:05.99 has to say on victory, this important topic. 00:07:06.02\00:07:08.42 It said, "But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory 00:07:08.46\00:07:12.36 through our Lord Jesus Christ." 00:07:12.39\00:07:15.16 1 Corinthians, 15:57, now that's a meaty verse. 00:07:15.20\00:07:18.43 That's a lot of meat in that verse. 00:07:18.47\00:07:20.74 "Thanks be to..." Who? 00:07:20.77\00:07:22.70 God that giveth us the victory. 00:07:22.74\00:07:25.07 Giveth us the victory, I like that. 00:07:25.11\00:07:27.14 The one thing about God most people don't know is that 00:07:27.18\00:07:29.98 He's a God of victory, He's not a God that loses, 00:07:30.01\00:07:33.18 He's not a God that fights battles and doesn't win. 00:07:33.21\00:07:36.92 He's a God of victory, consistent victory. 00:07:36.95\00:07:40.12 We're talking about a winner here. 00:07:40.16\00:07:41.49 We're talking about a champion here. 00:07:41.52\00:07:43.09 Does He have a foe that's trying to overcome Him? 00:07:43.12\00:07:45.19 He does have a foe. 00:07:45.23\00:07:46.56 And so we know that obviously God is gonna, like you say, 00:07:46.59\00:07:49.00 He is gonna always win the battles. 00:07:49.03\00:07:50.47 Him and his foe have had many battles, 00:07:50.50\00:07:52.47 they've had many fights and the name of this foe, 00:07:52.50\00:07:54.90 you know him and I know him, his name is Satan. 00:07:54.94\00:07:57.17 Come on. Come on now. The serpent, the devil himself. 00:07:57.21\00:07:59.27 But even though they fought in heaven, he lost. 00:07:59.31\00:08:01.18 Even though they fought on the cross, he lost. 00:08:01.21\00:08:03.55 And in every battle in your or mine's life, 00:08:03.58\00:08:05.61 he will lose too if you hold on and trust in God. 00:08:05.65\00:08:09.12 I like it, I love it. 00:08:09.15\00:08:10.49 So break that down for us? Come on, break it down for us? 00:08:10.52\00:08:12.12 So it says, thanks be to God who giveth us the victory 00:08:12.15\00:08:15.22 in our Lord Jesus Christ... 00:08:15.26\00:08:16.62 In our Lord, I like that, okay. 00:08:16.66\00:08:17.99 Now very important term is in our Lord Jesus Christ... 00:08:18.03\00:08:20.16 I like that. Yes, sir. 00:08:20.20\00:08:21.53 When you decide that Christ is the Lord of your life, 00:08:21.56\00:08:24.17 when you decide you want to let Him in your heart, 00:08:24.20\00:08:25.93 when you decide that He should rule and not you, 00:08:25.97\00:08:30.51 you can begin to get victory in your life. 00:08:30.54\00:08:32.74 God can begin to give you victory. 00:08:32.77\00:08:34.64 He can begin to work this winning lifestyle inside you. 00:08:34.68\00:08:40.12 He wants you to believe in Him and through Him, 00:08:40.15\00:08:43.15 He will give you this victory. 00:08:43.18\00:08:44.52 I like that, I like that. 00:08:44.55\00:08:45.89 And as Chef Law has explained to us, friends, 00:08:45.92\00:08:47.26 is that that we can't believe in ourselves. 00:08:47.29\00:08:49.89 If we believe in ourselves for one moment, 00:08:49.92\00:08:52.56 we're going to lose every single time. 00:08:52.59\00:08:55.36 So the only way that we can be victorious, 00:08:55.40\00:08:57.47 we have to let self die. 00:08:57.50\00:09:00.27 And, Chef Law, 00:09:00.30\00:09:01.64 that's a tough thing sometimes, isn't it? 00:09:01.67\00:09:03.00 Now that's the tough thing. Come on now. Come on. 00:09:03.04\00:09:04.64 I said tough things, so let's talk about letting self die. 00:09:04.67\00:09:06.51 What does that exactly mean, we let ourselves die? 00:09:06.54\00:09:09.34 Come on, break it down. 00:09:09.38\00:09:10.71 We all have things that we want to do 00:09:10.75\00:09:12.21 and anybody who has kids just know this, 00:09:12.25\00:09:14.28 sometime you tell a kid no, 00:09:14.32\00:09:15.65 and the kid thinks you said, yeah. 00:09:15.68\00:09:18.65 You're breaking it down now, brother. 00:09:18.69\00:09:20.02 And they want to keep doing, you know, what they want to do. 00:09:20.06\00:09:22.52 In our spiritual relationship with God, 00:09:22.56\00:09:24.09 we have that same type of relationship. 00:09:24.13\00:09:25.46 Break it down. 00:09:25.49\00:09:26.83 There's some things we want to do 00:09:26.86\00:09:28.20 and some things God says, "No." 00:09:28.23\00:09:29.56 He doesn't want us to do. 00:09:29.60\00:09:30.93 And why do you think that we're sometimes 00:09:30.97\00:09:32.70 so bullheaded or like you say hardheaded, 00:09:32.73\00:09:35.40 what was going on with that? 00:09:35.44\00:09:36.77 Well, you know, 00:09:36.81\00:09:38.14 it's the nature of the great controversy of this world. 00:09:38.17\00:09:41.28 I like that. Yes, yes. 00:09:41.31\00:09:42.64 You know, when sin came into the world 00:09:42.68\00:09:44.55 and death through sin, 00:09:44.58\00:09:47.25 it created these natures in us that wanted to act... 00:09:47.28\00:09:51.55 Act like they had the authority in essence. 00:09:51.59\00:09:53.56 Act like we had authority, that's right. 00:09:53.59\00:09:55.29 You guys got to understand this because when God made man, 00:09:55.32\00:09:57.93 it says, God made man and it was very good. 00:09:57.96\00:10:00.40 God made man as His whole, like you can say, 00:10:00.43\00:10:03.33 as his whole being was in a sense built to have, 00:10:03.37\00:10:06.87 or to seek God as His number one supreme thing. 00:10:06.90\00:10:09.64 But something happened, 00:10:09.67\00:10:11.01 something got in the way and that thing is called, what? 00:10:11.04\00:10:13.27 Starts with a S. That thing is called sin. 00:10:13.31\00:10:16.21 Sin got in the way and ever since sin has given us 00:10:16.24\00:10:18.68 a natural disposition to be at opposition to God 00:10:18.71\00:10:21.95 and His word. 00:10:21.98\00:10:23.32 But thanks be to God... Come on. 00:10:23.35\00:10:26.79 Because through Jesus Christ, 00:10:26.82\00:10:28.56 He can give us the victory even over this. 00:10:28.59\00:10:32.23 See there's nothing that God can't do. 00:10:32.26\00:10:33.73 There's nothing that's too, that God doesn't see 00:10:33.76\00:10:36.23 because the Bible says, 00:10:36.26\00:10:37.60 "His eyes run to and fro in the earth." 00:10:37.63\00:10:38.97 Oh, I like that, I like that. 00:10:39.00\00:10:40.34 There's nowhere that God can't reach because it says, 00:10:40.37\00:10:41.70 "He has an outstretched hand that reaches everywhere." 00:10:41.74\00:10:43.87 So you're saying to us, listen, 00:10:43.91\00:10:46.44 friends, listen, God is a personal God. 00:10:46.47\00:10:48.91 He's like a Dad, He's a father to us. 00:10:48.94\00:10:51.55 He sees everything that goes on in our life. 00:10:51.58\00:10:53.18 He knows the struggles that we go through. 00:10:53.21\00:10:55.18 He knows our weaknesses. 00:10:55.22\00:10:56.72 But, friends, we have to understand 00:10:56.75\00:10:58.72 we can give our health to Him, 00:10:58.75\00:11:00.29 whether it be, whatever it might be, 00:11:00.32\00:11:01.66 whatever disease, whatever problem, 00:11:01.69\00:11:03.53 God can help us through. 00:11:03.56\00:11:04.89 So, Chef Law, give us a little closing thought 00:11:04.93\00:11:06.53 to close this out now, please. 00:11:06.56\00:11:07.90 All right, what I want to just leave you guys with 00:11:07.93\00:11:10.23 before we leave this is that Christianity 00:11:10.27\00:11:12.33 is not a losing religion, it's a victorious religion. 00:11:12.37\00:11:15.14 It's not a religion of a bunch a win, or loses, 00:11:15.17\00:11:19.01 as it were but it's the religion of a bunch of wins 00:11:19.04\00:11:22.01 and God wants you to win with Him, 00:11:22.04\00:11:24.05 He wants to give you this victorious life, 00:11:24.08\00:11:26.11 and He doesn't want you 00:11:26.15\00:11:27.68 to get a victorious belt as it were, 00:11:27.72\00:11:30.15 but He's going to give you a crown of victory at the day 00:11:30.19\00:11:33.25 when Jesus comes back for you and I. 00:11:33.29\00:11:35.29 Well, we're moving right along. 00:11:41.06\00:11:42.60 We've come down to the "O" in the FORK system. 00:11:42.63\00:11:45.63 And remember, "O" stands for Organization. 00:11:45.67\00:11:49.54 And I tell you, this week we have been learning 00:11:49.57\00:11:52.04 some awesome information 00:11:52.07\00:11:53.81 about setting up different stations. 00:11:53.84\00:11:55.24 We talked this week about the salad station. 00:11:55.28\00:11:57.08 We talked this week about the fruit station. 00:11:57.11\00:11:59.21 We even talked about 00:11:59.25\00:12:00.58 how to set up a delicious breakfast cereal station 00:12:00.62\00:12:03.28 but today, this is our last station 00:12:03.32\00:12:05.42 we're gonna be discussing. 00:12:05.45\00:12:06.79 This is our baking station. 00:12:06.82\00:12:08.59 And, Chef Law, I tell you, 00:12:08.62\00:12:10.19 you know a lot about baking, huh? 00:12:10.23\00:12:11.79 Just a little bit about... Aluminum, like metal aluminum? 00:13:34.48\00:13:36.58 Like metal aluminum, yeah, exactly. 00:13:36.61\00:13:37.98 So make sure you read your labels, 00:13:38.01\00:13:39.38 we're gonna talk about that next week 00:13:39.41\00:13:40.75 about reading our labels. 00:13:40.78\00:13:42.12 And again, we want to stay away from aluminum 00:13:42.15\00:13:43.49 as much as possible. 00:13:43.52\00:13:44.85 We also have right here, this is some coriander. 00:13:44.89\00:13:46.65 Coriander is awesome, a natural flavor, 00:13:46.69\00:13:48.49 something like a cinnamon. 00:13:48.52\00:13:50.53 You know, it's a natural flavoring. 00:13:50.56\00:13:51.89 Again, we also have next here some corn starch, 00:13:51.93\00:13:54.50 and that goes in a lot of ingredient 00:13:54.53\00:13:55.86 that we're gonna be using. 00:13:55.90\00:13:57.23 On top here, we have two different sugars. 00:13:57.27\00:13:58.67 We have our turbinado raw sugar, 00:13:58.70\00:14:00.74 and we have our organic cane sugar. 00:14:00.77\00:14:02.44 What's so good about those is that 00:14:02.47\00:14:03.91 they have not been processed. 00:14:03.94\00:14:05.94 So it's really tasty for you. Less refine. 00:14:05.97\00:14:07.31 You know, what that is? Lemon poppy seed muffins. 00:16:15.20\00:16:18.74 Now, I know little bit about poppy seed 00:16:18.77\00:16:21.24 and sometimes I don't always say 00:16:21.28\00:16:22.61 the most positive things about poppy seeds. 00:16:22.64\00:16:25.71 Well, these poppy seeds don't pop so much. 00:16:25.75\00:16:27.92 Come on, they don't pop so much. 00:16:27.95\00:16:29.28 They don't have too much of a pop in them. 00:16:29.32\00:16:30.65 All right, now, okay, it's not the kind 00:16:30.69\00:16:32.32 that kind of gets you kinda popping... 00:16:32.35\00:16:34.76 Pop, there you go, okay, okay. It's okay, okay, okay. 00:16:34.79\00:16:36.99 So this is good. Yeah, this is good. 00:16:37.03\00:16:38.36 This is good to use, all right. These are good poppy seeds. 00:16:38.39\00:16:39.96 We're gonna make sure we don't want to be having 00:16:40.00\00:16:41.86 our friends out there getting popped, 00:16:41.90\00:16:43.93 do you follow where I'm coming from? 00:16:43.97\00:16:45.30 You know our motto, we're gonna give you something better. 00:16:45.33\00:16:46.80 Something better. There you go, okay, okay. 00:16:46.84\00:16:48.20 So as you share with us early, 00:16:48.24\00:16:49.57 you say we have two different things 00:16:49.60\00:16:51.14 we want to think about. 00:16:51.17\00:16:52.51 We have our liquid ingredients 00:16:52.54\00:16:53.88 and we have our dry ingredients. 00:16:53.91\00:16:55.24 So in making this, I guess lemon poppy seed muffin, 00:16:55.28\00:16:58.78 we have, obviously our dry right here. 00:16:58.81\00:17:00.92 Right. And then we have our, what? 00:17:00.95\00:17:02.28 Liquid, right there. Liquid. 00:17:02.32\00:17:03.65 I want you to go ahead and tell us 00:17:03.69\00:17:05.02 what those ingredients are for our recipe. 00:17:05.05\00:17:06.39 All right these ingredients are: 00:17:06.42\00:17:07.76 Okay, that sounds pretty, I can say intense. 00:17:26.64\00:17:30.91 A lot of neat ingredients here. 00:17:30.95\00:17:32.55 And we talked in our organization section 00:17:32.58\00:17:35.18 about some of the different ingredients 00:17:35.22\00:17:36.82 and we're gonna be using some of them like for example, 00:17:36.85\00:17:38.49 we have the dairy free milk. 00:17:38.52\00:17:39.85 That's right. We have the vanilla here. 00:17:39.89\00:17:41.66 Or we have the white flour or the whole wheat white flour. 00:17:41.69\00:17:46.90 Whole wheat white flour. Okay, there you go. All right. 00:17:46.93\00:17:48.73 We got the raw cane sugar there. 00:17:48.76\00:17:52.27 We also have, we're gonna be 00:17:52.30\00:17:53.87 actually grinding some salt into this recipe. 00:17:53.90\00:17:55.74 So we've got a salt shaker here 00:17:55.77\00:17:57.21 and we have a special ingredient today, 00:17:57.24\00:17:58.74 we're gonna be actually doing a lemon zest. 00:17:58.77\00:18:00.94 So we didn't talk about the lemon zest in the last, 00:18:00.98\00:18:03.21 in organization section, didn't we? 00:18:03.24\00:18:04.58 No, we didn't. We didn't talk about that in that section. 00:18:04.61\00:18:05.95 So in this, we're gonna actually use 00:18:05.98\00:18:07.32 this tool right here 00:18:07.35\00:18:08.68 and we're gonna actually just do like that 00:18:08.72\00:18:10.05 and it's gonna actually take the, 00:18:10.09\00:18:11.42 you can say the rind, 00:18:11.45\00:18:12.85 and it's gonna add a nice lemon flavor 00:18:12.89\00:18:14.79 right into the recipe. 00:18:14.82\00:18:16.16 Beautiful flavor. So that's called a lemon zest. 00:18:16.19\00:18:17.66 So let's go ahead and get started. 00:18:17.69\00:18:19.03 Let's go ahead and start with the liquid ingredients first 00:18:19.06\00:18:20.40 if we can. 00:18:20.43\00:18:21.76 So go and pass me some of those ingredients, please. 00:18:21.80\00:18:23.13 Here is the milk. 00:18:23.16\00:18:24.50 All right, so we got the milk, we're gonna put this in here. 00:18:24.53\00:18:25.87 All right, just like that. All right. 00:18:25.90\00:18:28.34 Got the lemon juice, little bit of acid here. 00:18:28.37\00:18:31.01 All right, what do we have next? 00:18:31.04\00:18:32.51 The oil. The oil. 00:18:32.54\00:18:34.08 Okay, we got a little oil here. All right, sounding good. 00:18:34.11\00:18:36.85 And now we're gonna put... 00:18:36.88\00:18:38.21 The vanilla for some flavor, okay. 00:18:38.25\00:18:39.95 All right, so we're gonna go ahead and whisk this together 00:18:39.98\00:18:42.08 just like that. 00:18:42.12\00:18:43.45 All right, we're gonna lock all the ingredients together. 00:18:43.49\00:18:45.65 This is gonna be delicious, man. 00:18:45.69\00:18:47.46 You smell that vanilla? Come on. 00:18:47.49\00:18:49.66 You smell that? Yeah, I did. 00:18:49.69\00:18:51.09 Okay, all right, all right. Your hand helped too smell it. 00:18:51.13\00:18:52.69 Come on now, all right. Come on, fan it up, okay, okay. 00:18:52.73\00:18:54.30 So go ahead and pass me that bowl, 00:18:54.33\00:18:55.66 we're gonna switch this out. 00:18:55.70\00:18:57.03 Now we're gonna put our dry ingredients, 00:18:57.07\00:18:58.53 we're gonna start with our white flour 00:18:58.57\00:19:00.04 or our whole wheat white flour. 00:19:00.07\00:19:01.40 Whole wheat white flour. There we go, all right. 00:19:01.44\00:19:02.77 Here we go. 00:19:02.80\00:19:04.14 And we got our sugar, natural sugar. 00:19:04.17\00:19:05.51 Again, the sugar has not been processed 00:19:05.54\00:19:07.58 and I want to take a little second here 00:19:07.61\00:19:08.94 and talk about this because again, 00:19:08.98\00:19:10.31 the reason why we like to use unrefined sugar is this 00:19:10.35\00:19:13.92 because for many people who might be diabetic, 00:19:13.95\00:19:15.85 you'll find that the processed sugar 00:19:15.88\00:19:17.65 goes straight to the bloodstream. 00:19:17.69\00:19:19.09 And so it doesn't have the whole 00:19:19.12\00:19:20.96 and it's since the grain or you can say the whole, 00:19:20.99\00:19:24.23 I guess the whole sugar cane if you can say. 00:19:24.26\00:19:26.43 And that prevents it from 00:19:26.46\00:19:28.00 actually again spiking the blood sugar because it has, 00:19:28.03\00:19:30.57 I guess you could say fiber in the sugar. 00:19:30.60\00:19:32.23 Right, right, okay. 00:19:32.27\00:19:33.60 So it slows down the sugar pop, 00:19:33.64\00:19:36.30 if you follow where I'm coming from. 00:19:36.34\00:19:37.67 You want that good pop, 00:19:37.71\00:19:39.04 you understand where I'm coming from. 00:19:39.07\00:19:40.41 All right, so we're gonna go ahead 00:19:40.44\00:19:41.78 and put some baking powder in here, 00:19:41.81\00:19:43.14 and again we have the aluminum free baking powder. 00:19:43.18\00:19:44.51 Aluminum free baking... 00:19:44.55\00:19:45.88 All right, some poppy seeds, 00:19:45.91\00:19:47.25 make it pop off just a little bit. 00:19:47.28\00:19:48.62 All right. 00:19:48.65\00:19:49.98 Then we got some, why don't you go ahead 00:19:50.02\00:19:51.35 and use salt shaker for us right now. 00:19:51.39\00:19:52.72 The grinder, I should say. 00:19:52.75\00:19:54.09 The grinder, go ahead and put that grinder in there. 00:19:54.12\00:19:55.46 Come on now, you got it right, you got it right. 00:19:55.49\00:19:56.83 You got to, you see the motion. 00:19:56.86\00:19:58.19 Go ahead now, I like that, I like that. 00:19:58.23\00:19:59.56 Go ahead now. Yeah, getting to. Come on now, I see you man. 00:19:59.59\00:20:00.93 Don't flex on me now, man, I know we're doing that. 00:20:00.96\00:20:02.93 I try not to, you know, it's a natural habit. 00:20:02.96\00:20:04.30 All right, there you go, okay. 00:20:04.33\00:20:05.67 So we're gonna go ahead 00:20:05.70\00:20:07.04 and use this section right here, 00:20:07.07\00:20:08.40 we don't want it too big. 00:20:08.44\00:20:09.77 So the each section gives a certain type of, 00:20:09.80\00:20:11.37 I guess you can say shape or makes it more fine 00:20:11.41\00:20:13.68 depending on which one you use. 00:20:13.71\00:20:15.04 So we're gonna use this one right here. 00:20:15.08\00:20:16.41 We're gonna rind like that, go right into it. 00:20:16.44\00:20:18.38 You can see it coming down. All right, just like that. 00:20:18.41\00:20:21.35 And you see the lemon is kinda starting to, 00:20:21.38\00:20:23.65 I guess kind of a little bald there, 00:20:23.69\00:20:25.32 little bald spot, you know, getting little age on it, 00:20:25.35\00:20:28.46 you know, little bald spot. 00:20:28.49\00:20:30.13 All right, that's good enough. 00:20:30.16\00:20:32.03 All right, so now we're gonna mix the liquid ingredients 00:20:32.06\00:20:35.03 with the dry ingredients. 00:20:35.06\00:20:36.40 So let's go ahead and do that for me, 00:20:36.43\00:20:37.77 Chef Law, if you don't mind? 00:20:37.80\00:20:39.13 Go ahead and mix it together, man. 00:20:39.17\00:20:40.50 Oh, that's starting to smell good, the lemon, 00:20:40.54\00:20:42.57 the lemon flavor is coming out. 00:20:42.60\00:20:44.01 Now we're gonna mix this together. 00:20:44.04\00:20:45.47 Go ahead and mix it all together if you don't mind? 00:20:45.51\00:20:46.91 Okay. It's false. 00:24:39.21\00:24:40.54 And remember this is that, that white whole wheat 00:24:40.58\00:24:43.41 is a really excellent wheat to purchase. 00:24:43.45\00:24:45.51 You can go to most local grocery stores 00:24:45.55\00:24:47.22 and also your health food stores 00:24:47.25\00:24:48.68 and purchase that white whole wheat flour. 00:24:48.72\00:24:51.22 Go ahead and go to next last question if you can? 00:24:51.25\00:24:53.05 All right, last question: 00:24:53.09\00:24:54.49 Lemon zest is made with lemon juice, 00:24:54.52\00:24:57.23 now is that true or is it false? 00:24:57.26\00:24:59.39 Oh, now, this is a good one now. 00:24:59.43\00:25:01.76 And remember it and I believe in our recipe 00:25:01.80\00:25:03.57 we had a little tool called the zester, 00:25:03.60\00:25:05.97 what do we do with that little? 00:25:06.00\00:25:07.34 And we had, obviously, we didn't take the lemon juice 00:25:07.37\00:25:09.50 to make the zest... 00:25:09.54\00:25:10.87 No. We had to use the what? 00:25:10.91\00:25:12.24 The whole lemon to make the zest. 00:25:12.27\00:25:14.51 And so the answer obviously is what? 00:25:14.54\00:25:16.18 False. It's false. 00:25:16.21\00:25:17.55 So remember this, friends, is that to make a lemon zest, 00:25:17.58\00:25:19.88 you take a whole lemon 00:25:19.91\00:25:21.25 and the flavor is inside the, what? 00:25:21.28\00:25:23.22 In the rind. 00:25:23.25\00:25:24.59 And the rind is where the oil is at. 00:25:24.62\00:25:26.49 And so when you take the little zester 00:25:26.52\00:25:28.42 and you kinda go like that, like that, 00:25:28.46\00:25:30.16 that rind comes off 00:25:30.19\00:25:32.03 and all of that flavor burst out. 00:25:32.06\00:25:34.70 Oh, I like flavor, you like flavor though? 00:25:34.73\00:25:36.06 You and your flavor. 00:25:36.10\00:25:37.43 Come on now, you know some, friends, 00:25:37.47\00:25:38.80 you gotta have flavor in the relationship. 00:25:38.83\00:25:41.40 Y'all know what I'm talking about, right? 00:25:41.44\00:25:42.77 You've got to have flavor in the relationship 00:25:42.80\00:25:44.51 because that's what God wants for us. 00:25:44.54\00:25:46.24 Doesn't He want us to have flavor 00:25:46.27\00:25:47.61 in our relationship with Him? 00:25:47.64\00:25:48.98 He does.
