Hello, and welcome to Coronavirus Report. 00:00:14.61\00:00:17.11 I'm here with Pastor Stephen Bohr, 00:00:17.41\00:00:19.51 president and speaker for Secrets Unsealed. 00:00:19.71\00:00:22.52 I'm C. A. Murray. 00:00:22.62\00:00:23.95 And our resource person is our board chair 00:00:23.99\00:00:27.26 and the chief medical officer for Kings County, 00:00:27.29\00:00:30.19 Dr. Milton Teske. 00:00:30.29\00:00:31.63 Doctor, good to have you here. 00:00:31.66\00:00:32.99 Pastor, good to have you here. 00:00:33.23\00:00:34.76 This program has been eagerly watched by so many people. 00:00:35.76\00:00:39.73 And Pastor, I know you have actually a communication 00:00:39.87\00:00:43.54 by email or message that was sent to you 00:00:43.57\00:00:46.11 that we're going to ask you to read at this time. 00:00:46.21\00:00:48.38 It kind of speaks of the value that this program is 00:00:48.41\00:00:51.78 to our viewing public. 00:00:51.98\00:00:53.58 Yeah, this message is from a good friend. 00:00:53.62\00:00:56.72 He's a physician who works in the Houston area. 00:00:56.75\00:01:00.62 And he sent me this email. 00:01:01.26\00:01:03.09 We're on a first name basis because I've known him since 00:01:03.12\00:01:05.56 I worked in New Jersey three or four decades ago. 00:01:05.79\00:01:09.10 So this is what he wrote: 00:01:09.46\00:01:11.00 "I hope and your family are doing well in the midst of 00:01:11.03\00:01:14.30 these difficult times. 00:01:14.34\00:01:15.87 I want to congratulate SUMtv for the outstanding 00:01:16.10\00:01:20.41 television programming. 00:01:20.44\00:01:21.84 I just watched the Coronavirus Update with Dr. Milton Teske. 00:01:22.08\00:01:25.95 It was an accurate summary of our current understanding 00:01:26.38\00:01:30.99 how the COVID-19 works systemically 00:01:31.09\00:01:34.79 damaging the vascular endothelium. 00:01:34.82\00:01:37.29 I encourage SUM to broadcast it more frequently, 00:01:37.76\00:01:41.73 and also to translate it to other languages. 00:01:41.83\00:01:44.53 It may help medical personnel involved in the treatment of 00:01:44.87\00:01:48.47 these patients to better understand the pathophysiology 00:01:48.50\00:01:52.87 of this highly contagious and deadly disease 00:01:53.21\00:01:55.98 and provide better medical care. 00:01:56.21\00:01:58.48 Blessings." 00:01:58.51\00:01:59.85 So this is a physician, a colleague of yours, 00:01:59.88\00:02:04.09 who has appreciated the comments that you've made. 00:02:04.29\00:02:07.19 He's a very well known and prominent physician. 00:02:07.59\00:02:10.96 And so, thank you so much 00:02:11.26\00:02:13.33 for being willing to do this every week. 00:02:13.36\00:02:15.13 You know, the more we understand about any aspect 00:02:15.16\00:02:18.70 of physiology or medicine or science, 00:02:18.73\00:02:22.24 the better we are prepared to relate to it 00:02:22.74\00:02:25.47 rationally and appropriately. 00:02:25.51\00:02:27.61 You know, God, in His great wisdom understands everything 00:02:28.14\00:02:31.68 and always knows what to do. 00:02:31.71\00:02:33.48 But God shares wisdom with us. 00:02:33.78\00:02:36.28 And through science we can begin to understand 00:02:36.32\00:02:40.46 some of these things and understand how to best 00:02:40.49\00:02:44.69 relate to them, what we can do to cooperate with God 00:02:44.73\00:02:48.70 in healing and surviving the evils that 00:02:48.73\00:02:52.83 have been brought on this world. 00:02:53.44\00:02:54.90 You know, it kind of reminds me, Ellen White wrote that 00:02:54.94\00:02:58.87 the first thing that students should learn in school 00:02:58.91\00:03:01.41 is the laws of physiology. 00:03:01.78\00:03:03.45 How the body functions, in other words. 00:03:04.11\00:03:06.21 The different systems, the different organs; 00:03:06.25\00:03:08.52 how they function and how to care for them. 00:03:08.55\00:03:10.95 Yeah, the more you understand, the more logical and sense 00:03:10.99\00:03:15.69 it makes to do the right thing in regards to health. 00:03:15.72\00:03:19.66 If we actually thought about what was happening 00:03:19.69\00:03:22.16 to our arteries, we would eat very differently. 00:03:22.20\00:03:25.43 Yep, that's for sure. And drink differently too. 00:03:26.07\00:03:29.00 Good doctor, I have been on the phone this morning with 00:03:30.81\00:03:33.71 a pastor friend of mine in New York City. 00:03:33.74\00:03:36.28 He's right there in Long Island. 00:03:36.31\00:03:37.65 And he's been watching the program, 00:03:38.81\00:03:41.65 along with others in New York state. 00:03:42.38\00:03:45.09 One of the gifts you have, and we'll give you applause 00:03:45.55\00:03:48.06 while we can still smell them, is that you have the ability 00:03:48.09\00:03:51.26 to make what can be fairly complex, simple. 00:03:51.36\00:03:56.26 Everybody doesn't have that ability. 00:03:56.30\00:03:57.73 But when you're finished discussing a subject, 00:03:57.77\00:04:01.77 you paint word pictures, first of all. 00:04:01.80\00:04:04.64 And secondly, you walk us through this kind of thing 00:04:04.67\00:04:08.38 non-dramatic, you don't put out any unnecessary fear. 00:04:09.94\00:04:14.38 You kind of tell it like it is, and simplify it. 00:04:14.42\00:04:16.92 And really, that's what we kind of need at this point in time. 00:04:17.02\00:04:19.79 We don't need to make it any more complex than it is. 00:04:19.99\00:04:22.42 - It needs to be simplified... ~ Or sensational. 00:04:22.52\00:04:23.86 Or sensational. Well said. 00:04:23.89\00:04:25.33 ...so that we can understand what we're dealing with 00:04:25.36\00:04:27.43 in a kind of reasonable, rational manner 00:04:27.46\00:04:30.10 without excess and undue hubris or hyperbole. 00:04:30.13\00:04:34.37 So we want to thank you for that. 00:04:34.57\00:04:35.90 God has given you that gift, and we thank you for that. 00:04:35.94\00:04:38.64 So what's been happening in the Valley? 00:04:38.67\00:04:40.58 Can we have a little report on what's happening 00:04:40.78\00:04:42.44 in the Central Valley? 00:04:42.48\00:04:43.81 Yeah, here in the Central Valley things have 00:04:43.85\00:04:46.68 pretty much been going along. 00:04:46.72\00:04:48.22 We continue to rack up more cases as we do more testing 00:04:48.25\00:04:51.75 and we find more positive people. 00:04:51.79\00:04:53.86 The health care system has not been overwhelmed, 00:04:55.22\00:04:57.93 which is good. 00:04:57.96\00:04:59.29 We've had several major outbreaks in meat packing plants 00:04:59.46\00:05:04.63 and food processing plants. 00:05:04.67\00:05:08.07 Again, the reason, if you just think about it, 00:05:08.44\00:05:10.91 if you understand a little bit about how those businesses 00:05:10.94\00:05:13.07 work, they have a lot of people working side by side 00:05:13.11\00:05:15.78 on assembly lines chopping the meat and packing the 00:05:15.81\00:05:19.75 fruits and vegetables, whatever they're processing. 00:05:19.95\00:05:23.22 They just have a lot of people all together in one place 00:05:23.25\00:05:26.05 working closely together. 00:05:26.09\00:05:27.56 And so it's an environment where it's easy to spread. 00:05:27.89\00:05:31.56 You remember the cruise ship, I mean, was our first big 00:05:31.93\00:05:35.03 introduction to this phenomena with this virus. 00:05:35.06\00:05:37.77 And you realize that you put a whole bunch of people together 00:05:37.80\00:05:40.50 in a space, the virus is very contagious. 00:05:40.54\00:05:44.54 It's going to spread easily. 00:05:44.91\00:05:46.51 The good news is that in spite of these outbreaks, 00:05:47.04\00:05:51.11 we haven't ended up with a situation like New Orleans 00:05:51.48\00:05:55.12 or New York where the health care system has been 00:05:55.15\00:05:57.99 pushed to the max and overflowing, and there's not 00:05:58.02\00:06:00.86 ICU beds and ventilators, and you know, the dead bodies are 00:06:00.89\00:06:05.06 piling up in trucks and vans. 00:06:05.09\00:06:07.06 That hasn't happened here in the Valley. 00:06:07.50\00:06:09.16 We seem to be spared from that so far. 00:06:09.20\00:06:13.03 And hopefully we'll continue to be. 00:06:13.07\00:06:15.60 It could be that we're just later in some ways, 00:06:16.10\00:06:19.24 Because, well, it'll come here later, but it also can be 00:06:19.54\00:06:23.88 a difference in just the spread of the city, 00:06:24.88\00:06:28.05 the sooner that we put in some of the protective measures. 00:06:28.08\00:06:33.36 The non-pharmacological measures they refer to 00:06:33.39\00:06:37.23 where we stay at home, we social distance, 00:06:37.49\00:06:41.46 and those types of things. 00:06:41.50\00:06:42.83 And so, it may be that some of that stuff 00:06:43.03\00:06:45.13 is contributing to that. 00:06:45.17\00:06:47.24 So have some of these areas like New York, New Orleans, 00:06:47.57\00:06:51.04 Detroit, and so on, have they actually reached 00:06:51.17\00:06:55.44 the top of the curve and they are flattening the curve now? 00:06:55.48\00:06:58.11 It seems to be that's the case. 00:06:58.15\00:06:59.78 Because they are getting... 00:06:59.81\00:07:02.15 While they're still having new cases and lots of 00:07:02.85\00:07:04.79 hospitalizations, you know, the number per day is like, 00:07:04.82\00:07:08.36 they were getting this many per day, 00:07:08.39\00:07:10.13 now they're only getting this many new per day. 00:07:10.16\00:07:11.79 So it seems to be tapering down in some of those areas. 00:07:11.83\00:07:15.96 L.A. still seems to have a lot of cases, the Bay Area. 00:07:17.40\00:07:20.70 But again, you'll notice it goes with the large urban centers. 00:07:21.17\00:07:26.74 They tend to have trouble. 00:07:26.78\00:07:28.34 Probably the major factor is population density there. 00:07:28.68\00:07:32.31 You know, there are some that are concerned that the 00:07:33.38\00:07:35.68 5G they are installing in the large cities 00:07:35.72\00:07:40.42 and have in these cities is actually radiating 00:07:40.46\00:07:45.29 and contributing to the thing there. 00:07:45.33\00:07:48.53 Really we don't know that for sure, 00:07:49.46\00:07:51.97 but it's something to be considered. 00:07:52.00\00:07:53.50 You know, there's a lot of things in a big city, 00:07:53.54\00:07:55.80 but the simplest thing, if you want to look at it, 00:07:55.84\00:07:58.11 is just population density. 00:07:58.14\00:07:59.61 You have all these people crowded and living and working 00:07:59.64\00:08:02.31 and interacting, you know, in a very dense environment. 00:08:02.34\00:08:07.35 It makes for the spread of the disease there. 00:08:07.92\00:08:10.75 So do you think the masks and, you know, the social distancing, 00:08:10.79\00:08:15.92 as well as maybe herd immunity 00:08:16.02\00:08:18.99 has a lot to do with the decrease? 00:08:19.33\00:08:21.53 Yeah, we probably don't have herd immunity yet, 00:08:22.00\00:08:25.23 but we may be moving in that direction. 00:08:25.83\00:08:28.07 The epidemiologists tell us it takes around 70% 00:08:28.64\00:08:32.87 of the population to sort of... 00:08:33.21\00:08:35.51 Once about 70% has been infected and is now immune, 00:08:35.84\00:08:39.41 then you're probably considered pretty good for that. 00:08:39.78\00:08:43.59 One study they did in New York, they just did a screening, 00:08:45.12\00:08:48.06 I think we mentioned that last time, 00:08:48.09\00:08:49.42 just went to a super market and tested, several super markets, 00:08:49.46\00:08:52.59 and they tested, you know, over a thousand people. 00:08:52.63\00:08:57.43 21% of them were positive. 00:08:57.57\00:08:59.67 So it would suggest that in New York City, 00:09:00.24\00:09:03.81 if you want to call it, the herd immunity is over 20% at least. 00:09:04.17\00:09:08.04 And that will continue to increase and spread 00:09:09.98\00:09:13.01 as time passes. 00:09:13.05\00:09:14.52 And if it can pass without us overwhelming the health care 00:09:14.55\00:09:18.02 system, well then it's probably a good thing. 00:09:18.05\00:09:20.72 ~ You know, I'm thinking of, because you're talking about it, 00:09:22.86\00:09:25.93 when you've got a dense population crammed into a fairly 00:09:26.29\00:09:29.86 small area, it's reasonable to expect you're going to 00:09:29.90\00:09:33.10 have an outbreak there. 00:09:33.13\00:09:34.47 Are we still looking for... 00:09:34.60\00:09:36.37 One of the epicenters has been nursing homes 00:09:36.57\00:09:38.61 where you have a lot of people crowded together who are old. 00:09:38.64\00:09:40.94 And prisons. 00:09:42.01\00:09:43.35 Have we monitored that comprehensively? 00:09:44.18\00:09:47.72 Are we still expecting a large outbreak of the virus 00:09:47.82\00:09:51.25 in prison situations? 00:09:51.29\00:09:52.79 And in situations where it may be latent right now, 00:09:52.92\00:09:54.96 but it's coming because you've got all these 00:09:54.99\00:09:56.76 guys or gals crammed together and there's no way 00:09:56.86\00:09:59.96 to separate them and to get the kind of distance 00:10:00.00\00:10:02.26 you would need to help yourself out there? 00:10:02.30\00:10:04.27 Yeah, if you were in on the public health officers 00:10:04.30\00:10:08.20 as we meet together and call and talk about these various issues, 00:10:08.24\00:10:11.81 you would realize those are at the very top of the list 00:10:11.84\00:10:15.14 of concerns right now. 00:10:15.18\00:10:16.75 Because you not only have the density of people crammed 00:10:17.11\00:10:19.91 together in the case of the nursing homes 00:10:19.95\00:10:22.32 and assisted living places, the people that are crammed 00:10:22.35\00:10:26.42 close together are, you know, senior citizens. 00:10:26.45\00:10:30.03 Most of them with multiple diseases, 00:10:30.06\00:10:32.43 on multiple medications. 00:10:32.46\00:10:34.20 Highly vulnerable. 00:10:34.23\00:10:35.56 The ones that are likely to have very serious complications 00:10:35.60\00:10:39.60 and possibly fatal outcomes are there. 00:10:39.63\00:10:42.10 So yeah, it's a very concerning situation. 00:10:42.14\00:10:44.84 And our efforts really go way over the edge there, 00:10:44.87\00:10:49.44 doing everything we possibly can to protect 00:10:49.48\00:10:51.85 those type of situations. 00:10:51.88\00:10:53.58 I can tell you there, the ones in our county, 00:10:54.32\00:10:56.58 I mean, they not only don't allow visitors in, 00:10:56.62\00:11:00.62 the staff all have to mask up. 00:11:00.66\00:11:02.66 We go in and test the staff. 00:11:02.69\00:11:04.46 We really are doing everything we can to try to prevent that. 00:11:05.23\00:11:09.23 At the jail, the same type of thing. 00:11:09.73\00:11:12.03 We want to protect that close together. 00:11:12.50\00:11:15.64 Because if we get one case, it's going to spread through, 00:11:15.67\00:11:18.37 you know, all of the other close cases there. 00:11:18.84\00:11:21.34 Most of our jails do not have private rooms. 00:11:21.38\00:11:24.78 You're in more, you know, dormitory type 00:11:24.88\00:11:28.68 setting right there. 00:11:28.72\00:11:30.05 People are crowded together and close, you know, contact. 00:11:30.09\00:11:33.59 And it would spread very rapidly. 00:11:33.62\00:11:35.79 Where it has broken into prisons and various places... 00:11:35.82\00:11:38.69 There was a number in China early on where it just 00:11:38.73\00:11:41.56 immediately went through the entire prison very rapidly. 00:11:41.60\00:11:45.63 I can tell you, locally our local county jail, 00:11:46.07\00:11:49.20 beyond all of the usual things that they could do 00:11:49.40\00:11:52.57 like, you know, masking and things like protecting, 00:11:52.61\00:11:56.91 you know, doing everything they can 00:11:56.95\00:12:01.88 to clean things, wash things, have people wash their hands, 00:12:01.92\00:12:05.72 wash things that touch people and are touched frequently; 00:12:05.75\00:12:07.89 all those internal things, they have really, 00:12:07.92\00:12:10.49 you know, you realize that if it breaks out there, 00:12:10.53\00:12:13.16 it came from somewhere. 00:12:13.19\00:12:14.53 And the staff, they're really careful to try to protect 00:12:15.03\00:12:18.10 so that the staff do not bring it in. 00:12:18.13\00:12:20.17 I mean, you know, if you have... 00:12:20.20\00:12:22.27 I mean, any business, if you've got a cough 00:12:22.57\00:12:24.81 or some symptoms, you're suppose to stay home. 00:12:24.84\00:12:27.08 But they've gone way beyond that and really, you know, 00:12:27.48\00:12:30.68 stay home, and you keep staying home. 00:12:30.71\00:12:32.45 And they're really extensively excluding any possibility 00:12:32.48\00:12:36.95 of staff bringing it in. 00:12:36.99\00:12:38.42 Their vendors that bring supplies and different things 00:12:38.69\00:12:42.22 and deliver to the prison, before they can come in 00:12:42.26\00:12:45.93 they make them put on the full suit, the outfit, everything, 00:12:46.03\00:12:49.53 you know, as if you were in a hospital 00:12:49.86\00:12:52.17 treating a COVID patient, to bring in the supplies 00:12:52.20\00:12:55.14 because, you know... 00:12:55.17\00:12:56.71 And they wash down the supplies. 00:12:56.74\00:12:58.21 They really want to do everything they can 00:12:58.24\00:13:00.31 to protect and keep it out of those situations. 00:13:00.34\00:13:03.48 ~ Check their temperature too, I'm sure. 00:13:03.51\00:13:05.11 - Oh yeah. - Yeah, yeah. 00:13:05.15\00:13:07.08 Pastor, you fly a lot normally. 00:13:07.48\00:13:09.82 I fly a bit myself. 00:13:10.02\00:13:11.59 American Airlines sent me something the other day. 00:13:11.69\00:13:14.09 You may have gotten it also. 00:13:14.72\00:13:16.06 Where, as you fly now, you have to wear a mask. 00:13:16.09\00:13:19.29 The flight personnel will be wearing masks. 00:13:19.49\00:13:22.73 They're wiping down everything in the plane. 00:13:23.10\00:13:24.93 They're disinfecting the plane between flights a lot more. 00:13:24.97\00:13:27.67 So they're really worried about, doctor, I guess 00:13:27.70\00:13:31.71 all industries, about a second wave coming through 00:13:31.74\00:13:34.28 that would really be crippling, wouldn't it? 00:13:34.31\00:13:36.71 ~ Yeah. 00:13:37.51\00:13:38.85 And a second wave here would probably 00:13:38.88\00:13:41.35 not come in by airplane. 00:13:41.95\00:13:44.05 It will come in because of an increased activity, 00:13:44.52\00:13:50.33 you know, here locally. 00:13:50.36\00:13:52.53 You know, the influenza virus has a very 00:13:53.53\00:13:56.87 seasonal nature to it. 00:13:56.90\00:13:58.67 Other coronaviruses which cause common cold type symptoms, 00:13:59.10\00:14:03.30 also have a seasonal thing. 00:14:03.91\00:14:05.41 They tend to... You know, in the fall. 00:14:05.44\00:14:08.11 Here in the Valley, I've been in emergency medicine 00:14:08.18\00:14:11.35 in the ER monitoring what goes on in the community 00:14:11.38\00:14:14.45 for the last 36 years. 00:14:14.68\00:14:16.42 And here in the Valley, when the fog sets in, 00:14:16.45\00:14:19.42 the flu season comes in. 00:14:19.45\00:14:21.29 When the fog season stops, you know, the flu season 00:14:21.32\00:14:27.00 fades off and goes away. 00:14:27.03\00:14:28.70 And we don't know exactly why that is. 00:14:29.06\00:14:32.93 I suspect it may have less to do with the weather, per se, 00:14:32.97\00:14:38.77 on the virus and more on the effect of the weather 00:14:38.81\00:14:42.28 on people's behavior. 00:14:42.31\00:14:43.65 Because during those seasons you move indoors, 00:14:44.15\00:14:49.38 you close the windows, we don't have fresh air, 00:14:49.42\00:14:53.19 we don't have sunlight. 00:14:53.22\00:14:54.76 You know, two really valuable healing agents 00:14:55.09\00:14:58.99 that God has put out there to sterilize and purify and 00:14:59.03\00:15:02.66 clean up the environment for us. 00:15:02.70\00:15:04.67 You know, we come in these times, 00:15:04.70\00:15:06.13 and then you run the heater and you have this, you know, 00:15:06.17\00:15:08.80 deionized heated stuffy air being recycled. 00:15:08.84\00:15:12.44 Everyone is crowding indoors and not going out 00:15:13.31\00:15:16.54 and getting their exercise. 00:15:16.58\00:15:19.71 So that tends to be, I think, the issue to much of the 00:15:20.22\00:15:24.99 seasonality of it. 00:15:25.02\00:15:26.35 But these viruses have a seasonality too. 00:15:26.39\00:15:30.89 And it may be that everybody, the decline and improvement 00:15:30.93\00:15:34.56 we're seeing across the nation right now 00:15:34.60\00:15:36.83 could well be related to the good weather 00:15:37.20\00:15:39.90 we're having here now, you know. 00:15:39.93\00:15:41.34 It's really warmed up, the fog seems to be gone, 00:15:41.37\00:15:44.24 it's warm and sunny every day, starting even to get 00:15:44.27\00:15:47.31 a little bit hot in the afternoons. 00:15:47.34\00:15:49.31 You know, so that may be having something to do with it. 00:15:50.95\00:15:53.92 Which means, wow, well what's going to happen next fall 00:15:53.95\00:15:57.79 when the cold weather starts coming in? 00:15:58.19\00:16:01.32 When the fog settles in again here 00:16:01.36\00:16:03.32 will we have a resurgence? 00:16:03.36\00:16:05.66 That is a possibility. 00:16:06.70\00:16:08.36 We'll just have to wait and see. 00:16:08.66\00:16:10.03 We don't really know the answer to it. 00:16:10.07\00:16:11.97 This will be our first summer cycle for this new virus 00:16:12.00\00:16:16.97 that's been released on us. 00:16:17.01\00:16:18.51 The good pastor has been wanting us to get into lifestyle 00:16:18.91\00:16:22.71 and the eight laws of health for weeks. 00:16:23.38\00:16:25.61 And we've always jumped on something 00:16:25.71\00:16:28.15 and the time goes so quickly. 00:16:28.18\00:16:29.52 I want to ask you one question, then I want to get to that. 00:16:29.55\00:16:31.92 We're hearing talk about, is it Remdesivir or Remsedivir? 00:16:32.89\00:16:36.89 - It's Remdesivir. - Remdesivir. 00:16:36.93\00:16:39.49 Give us a little update on that. 00:16:40.80\00:16:42.20 Is it something that we can look forward to? 00:16:42.23\00:16:44.77 Is it something that is effective? 00:16:44.80\00:16:46.50 From your standpoint, what do you see? 00:16:47.14\00:16:48.47 Okay, so Remdesivir is an antiviral drug. 00:16:48.50\00:16:53.74 It's a medicine which actually blocks the action of the virus. 00:16:53.84\00:17:02.48 It's an antiviral. 00:17:02.52\00:17:03.85 It works on the RNA in this case, the RNA of this virus. 00:17:03.89\00:17:08.72 So it's an anti-RNA virus medication. 00:17:08.76\00:17:12.73 You might think of it somewhat parallel to a drug 00:17:14.20\00:17:17.37 many of you may be familiar with called Tamiflu. 00:17:17.40\00:17:20.47 Tamiflu is an antiviral that's used for the influenza. 00:17:21.30\00:17:25.17 And I would say it's not a magic cure, 00:17:26.14\00:17:30.68 it's more like it probably helps a little bit. 00:17:30.95\00:17:33.75 Tamiflu, when you take it, if you take it early on 00:17:34.68\00:17:41.26 right in the first day or two, well then you'll have, 00:17:41.29\00:17:45.73 your course of that particular flu will be a few days shorter. 00:17:45.76\00:17:49.46 Statistically. 00:17:49.73\00:17:51.07 They tested a whole bunch of people and the ones that took it 00:17:51.10\00:17:53.57 they had a little bit shorter course of it. 00:17:53.60\00:17:55.10 ~ Maybe a little less severe too? 00:17:55.14\00:17:56.67 Yeah. 00:17:56.71\00:17:58.04 And that's the thinking. 00:17:58.21\00:17:59.54 And certainly, in someone who is very symptomatic, 00:17:59.57\00:18:03.88 someone that's hospitalized, you know, where things are getting 00:18:03.98\00:18:08.52 more serious, it's more or less try everything. 00:18:08.55\00:18:10.29 Yeah, let's give it to them. 00:18:10.32\00:18:11.65 Let's see if we can get some, you know, benefit 00:18:11.69\00:18:13.42 by blocking this virus with that. 00:18:13.46\00:18:15.79 But I don't think it's like, wow, we'll pass this around 00:18:17.49\00:18:23.60 and then the virus will be gone. 00:18:23.63\00:18:25.30 It'll be more like, we can take it and maybe have a 00:18:25.83\00:18:28.54 little less symptoms. 00:18:28.57\00:18:30.04 ~ Does it have any serious side effects? 00:18:31.61\00:18:33.81 You know, all drugs have side effects. 00:18:34.34\00:18:37.61 And the side effects, if you want to think about it in a 00:18:38.71\00:18:44.22 more broader scope, God designed the body to work a certain way. 00:18:44.32\00:18:49.92 He designed the immune system to work a certain way. 00:18:49.96\00:18:53.60 And He designed our immune system to get us through 00:18:53.63\00:18:57.10 life on this earth clear to the end of time. 00:18:57.13\00:19:01.94 He's planned our immune systems to protect us. 00:19:01.97\00:19:04.44 He designed them to do that. 00:19:04.47\00:19:06.07 And as a general principle, the best thing we can do 00:19:06.54\00:19:10.91 is to cooperate with God's plans 00:19:10.95\00:19:13.18 rather than, you know, interfering with them. 00:19:14.12\00:19:18.89 The more drastically you interfere with them, 00:19:19.25\00:19:21.96 the more likely there's going to be side effects, complications, 00:19:22.06\00:19:25.59 this is going to effect this, this is going to effect this. 00:19:25.63\00:19:28.23 You know, the body is extremely complex. 00:19:28.60\00:19:31.63 And to think you can throw a drug in to fix one thing 00:19:32.07\00:19:36.10 is a little bit naive because everything effects 00:19:36.74\00:19:41.28 everything else in the body. 00:19:41.31\00:19:42.94 And we find that with most of the drugs 00:19:42.98\00:19:45.95 and medications out there. 00:19:45.98\00:19:47.75 Not saying there aren't times or places 00:19:49.02\00:19:51.75 where they would be appropriate. 00:19:51.79\00:19:53.12 I certainly wouldn't want to say "No, don't take this," you know. 00:19:53.15\00:19:56.52 But on the other hand, really, the less drugs we take, 00:19:56.56\00:20:02.56 the more we use the natural drugs... 00:20:02.93\00:20:05.77 You know, these things here. 00:20:05.97\00:20:07.54 You know, these are lemons. 00:20:07.84\00:20:10.84 You know, God put a lot of stuff in here that's 00:20:10.87\00:20:13.81 really good for us, that really enhances your immune system. 00:20:14.01\00:20:18.25 I mean, just taking some lemon juice and water every morning 00:20:18.28\00:20:21.92 when you get up does a lot of things for the body. 00:20:21.95\00:20:24.55 Not just, but one of the things is it helps your immune system. 00:20:24.59\00:20:27.39 There's a lot of vitamin C in there. 00:20:27.42\00:20:29.29 There's other substances in here that help 00:20:29.39\00:20:31.46 the body's immune system. 00:20:31.49\00:20:32.99 And when you start going through every fruit, and vegetable, 00:20:34.30\00:20:37.57 and seed, you start finding out that, wow, there's all kinds of 00:20:37.60\00:20:41.44 stuff in here that helps. 00:20:41.47\00:20:42.94 Some of them we're beginning to understand. 00:20:42.97\00:20:45.37 There's a number of different substances 00:20:45.57\00:20:47.58 in garlic that are really good. 00:20:47.61\00:20:50.85 And the more we can use God's natural remedies 00:20:50.98\00:20:55.18 and go down that road, I think we're going to find will work 00:20:55.22\00:20:59.79 in harmony with the way God designed our body to work. 00:20:59.89\00:21:04.29 You know, I'm more of a theologian 00:21:05.26\00:21:07.66 than into medical issues. 00:21:08.06\00:21:12.03 So I have a theological question. 00:21:12.90\00:21:14.74 Did God create the immune system before or after sin? 00:21:15.80\00:21:19.57 And if He created it before sin, why would it be, 00:21:20.08\00:21:23.51 because there were no infections and diseases before sin? 00:21:23.55\00:21:26.41 Okay, so you ask a theological question. 00:21:27.02\00:21:29.38 Let me give you a theological answer. 00:21:29.58\00:21:32.02 When did God create the plan of salvation? 00:21:34.26\00:21:37.23 Oh, in the days of eternity. 00:21:38.49\00:21:40.13 Okay. I think that's our answer. 00:21:40.16\00:21:42.50 So basically He gave us an immune system knowing that 00:21:43.33\00:21:46.53 perhaps if we made the wrong choice we would need it. 00:21:46.57\00:21:49.64 Yeah, and I think to a certain degree, a properly functioning 00:21:51.51\00:21:58.65 immune system probably has roles and functions 00:21:58.68\00:22:01.82 in a perfect world. 00:22:01.85\00:22:03.22 And we don't know what those are because 00:22:05.45\00:22:07.42 we haven't lived in a perfect world. 00:22:07.46\00:22:09.22 But we know that microbes have a role. 00:22:09.52\00:22:14.86 We know that, you know, they're part of your digestive system 00:22:15.16\00:22:18.80 and how everything works there. 00:22:18.83\00:22:20.57 We know that they're essential. 00:22:21.07\00:22:22.84 I mean, vitamin B12, which is absolutely essential for life, 00:22:22.87\00:22:27.14 is only made by microbes. 00:22:27.18\00:22:30.55 So we know that microbes are part of eternity's plan for life 00:22:31.15\00:22:36.12 as God designed it. 00:22:36.15\00:22:37.75 And the ability to respond to them in certain ways, 00:22:38.75\00:22:43.56 respond to other things that weren't supposed to be 00:22:44.13\00:22:46.49 in the body, and get rid of them. 00:22:46.53\00:22:48.76 Just repairing damage. 00:22:49.43\00:22:51.47 You know, we talk about the cell mutates a little bit; 00:22:51.50\00:22:54.00 well that's really sort of becoming pre-cancerous 00:22:54.04\00:22:56.37 or moving down the road to cancer. 00:22:56.40\00:22:58.07 The immune system can identify that and get rid of it. 00:22:58.24\00:23:01.54 Will that happen in a perfect world? 00:23:01.74\00:23:03.71 Well, maybe. We don't know. 00:23:03.81\00:23:05.35 I mean, there's ultraviolet light. 00:23:05.38\00:23:07.22 Ultraviolet light can do those type of things. 00:23:07.42\00:23:09.98 You know, I mean, I think even in a perfect world 00:23:10.62\00:23:14.32 we'll continue to grow new skin on a monthly basis. 00:23:14.36\00:23:18.13 You replace your skin about once a month. 00:23:18.16\00:23:20.43 So I think there's a lot of things about how God, 00:23:20.46\00:23:24.67 the intricacy's about how God designed things to work 00:23:24.70\00:23:28.80 that we'll continue to study and learn about 00:23:29.27\00:23:32.77 throughout eternity. 00:23:32.81\00:23:34.14 And I think we'll be surprised at some of the intricate, 00:23:34.38\00:23:38.38 delicate balances that God put in these systems 00:23:38.41\00:23:41.68 to make everything run just right. 00:23:41.72\00:23:43.52 It would be kind of difficult to be an evolutionist 00:23:43.72\00:23:46.09 if you really studied the immune system. 00:23:46.12\00:23:48.02 The immune system is only one system 00:23:48.12\00:23:50.46 of many that we have. 00:23:50.86\00:23:52.49 And yet, it is so complex. 00:23:53.06\00:23:54.80 And it hasn't even been totally decoded. 00:23:55.10\00:23:56.87 There's so much more to study. 00:23:56.90\00:23:58.70 We're barely on the edge of the immune system right now. 00:23:58.73\00:24:01.20 So it speaks of a Creator. 00:24:01.24\00:24:02.57 Yeah, it does. Almost everything does. 00:24:03.00\00:24:05.64 Well, you think about it, God put the potential there 00:24:05.67\00:24:09.64 when He put this thing together. 00:24:09.68\00:24:11.48 Once sin came, He didn't have to go back and re-engineer this 00:24:11.68\00:24:15.52 to take care of a surprise that He wasn't aware of. 00:24:15.62\00:24:18.39 He knew what was coming. 00:24:18.49\00:24:20.49 And the preventative aspects that are in here 00:24:20.52\00:24:24.76 were there from the beginning. 00:24:24.79\00:24:26.13 I was not a lemon water drinker. 00:24:26.16\00:24:27.50 My wife got me into that. 00:24:27.53\00:24:28.86 So every morning that's my job. 00:24:28.90\00:24:30.83 I prepare the lemon water while she's in the shower. 00:24:30.87\00:24:33.00 When she comes out, "Is it ready?" 00:24:33.03\00:24:34.57 "Yeah, it's ready." 00:24:34.60\00:24:35.94 So yeah, and it works. 00:24:35.97\00:24:37.31 Every morning we do the lemon water. 00:24:37.34\00:24:39.74 We serve a very faithful and a very thorough God. 00:24:40.24\00:24:43.58 In Latin America, lemon cures everything. 00:24:43.61\00:24:45.88 True. 00:24:49.92\00:24:51.25 I thought it was the jalapenos. 00:24:51.29\00:24:53.09 Well, that's only in Mexico. 00:24:55.12\00:24:56.76 Oh, okay. 00:24:56.79\00:24:58.13 Well, that's as far as everything... 00:24:58.73\00:25:00.46 You know, I'm looking at our time. 00:25:03.10\00:25:04.73 Touch on something very quickly. 00:25:04.93\00:25:06.94 I just began to hear in the last couple of weeks, 00:25:07.37\00:25:10.31 COVID toes. 00:25:10.34\00:25:12.07 What is or what are COVID toes? 00:25:12.11\00:25:15.18 Okay, this COVID virus, you know, we know the 00:25:15.21\00:25:19.28 common respiratory symptoms of cough, and fever, 00:25:19.31\00:25:22.88 and those type of things, 00:25:22.92\00:25:24.55 but it apparently can make a viral rash. 00:25:24.72\00:25:27.42 And for some reason, this rash only appears on the feet 00:25:27.79\00:25:31.56 or lower legs. 00:25:31.59\00:25:32.93 So just the lower extremities down there, 00:25:32.96\00:25:35.33 particularly the feet and toes. 00:25:35.36\00:25:36.97 It's very similar in appearance to a chickenpox rash. 00:25:37.23\00:25:40.40 So you can add that to your list of symptoms to look for. 00:25:40.80\00:25:44.21 You know, along with loss of smell or taste 00:25:44.77\00:25:47.38 which might be there, there might or might not be this rash. 00:25:47.41\00:25:51.51 It clears up and goes away when the infection passes. 00:25:52.38\00:25:56.22 But yeah, it's another phenomenon they've discovered. 00:25:56.25\00:26:00.09 And it's been identified. 00:26:00.12\00:26:02.66 If you want to see a picture of it, just Google it. 00:26:02.86\00:26:04.66 You can find it there. 00:26:04.69\00:26:06.59 And yeah, so there is a rash. 00:26:07.16\00:26:09.40 ~ You know, today we had lunch. 00:26:09.43\00:26:11.13 And we practice social distancing here. 00:26:11.17\00:26:13.77 And Pastor Bohr said, "I can't smell the food." 00:26:13.94\00:26:16.91 We said, "Go home!" 00:26:17.01\00:26:18.37 We told him to go home. 00:26:20.64\00:26:21.98 You should have seen, because I said it very seriously, 00:26:22.01\00:26:24.68 you should have seen the faces of everybody at the table 00:26:24.71\00:26:27.35 when I said that. 00:26:27.38\00:26:29.12 They were ready to bail out. 00:26:29.65\00:26:31.32 Well, it's appropriate to be cautious in these times. 00:26:32.79\00:26:35.92 Because every week there's some new thing, you know. 00:26:37.43\00:26:39.89 This virus takes so many forms and expresses itself 00:26:39.93\00:26:43.87 in so many ways, there's something new almost every week. 00:26:43.90\00:26:46.84 That's why we have to keep having you back here. 00:26:46.87\00:26:48.84 To sort of keep us up-to-date with this stuff. 00:26:49.17\00:26:51.17 So, we only have like 55 seconds left. 00:26:53.74\00:26:57.91 Not much time. 00:26:57.95\00:26:59.31 I just want to take this opportunity to address 00:26:59.71\00:27:01.98 everybody who is watching. 00:27:02.02\00:27:03.35 We appreciate your support at Secrets Unsealed. 00:27:03.39\00:27:06.45 First of all, your prayers. 00:27:07.49\00:27:09.16 Crucially important. 00:27:09.19\00:27:10.63 And then we also appreciate your financial support. 00:27:10.89\00:27:13.33 It's a blessing. 00:27:14.10\00:27:15.43 It helps us continue preparing programs such as this 00:27:15.46\00:27:18.43 that help the general public. 00:27:18.47\00:27:20.04 So now I'll let C.A. bring it to a close. 00:27:20.07\00:27:23.34 We want to thank Dr. Teske. 00:27:24.27\00:27:26.41 You know, it's a blessing for us to have the health officer 00:27:26.44\00:27:29.24 for our county as chairman of our board; 00:27:29.28\00:27:31.25 a committed Seventh-day Adventist physician. 00:27:31.28\00:27:33.38 And I don't know if you can be better than that. 00:27:33.48\00:27:34.88 A committed Christian physician is the best of both worlds. 00:27:34.92\00:27:38.82 So we thank you for your support. 00:27:38.85\00:27:40.52 We thank you for watching. 00:27:40.56\00:27:41.89 We invite you to watch us again each week. 00:27:41.92\00:27:44.46 New things coming each week. 00:27:44.79\00:27:46.26 We have questions, we have answers. 00:27:46.29\00:27:47.76 And we have our good doctor to help us 00:27:48.00\00:27:50.03 work his way through all of this. 00:27:50.07\00:27:51.90 And so, until we see you again, 00:27:51.93\00:27:54.14 we wish you God's very, very best. 00:27:54.24\00:27:57.94
