Yes. 00:03:29.27\00:03:30.61 Okay. 00:03:30.64\00:03:31.97 "If you listen carefully 00:03:32.01\00:03:33.34 to the voice of the Lord your God 00:03:33.38\00:03:35.14 and do what is right in His eyes, 00:03:35.18\00:03:37.75 if you pay attention to His commands 00:03:37.78\00:03:40.55 and keep all His decrees, 00:03:40.58\00:03:43.28 I will not bring on you any of the diseases 00:03:43.32\00:03:47.86 I brought on the Egyptians, 00:03:47.89\00:03:50.59 for I am the Lord, who heals you." 00:03:50.63\00:03:52.96 That's right. 00:03:52.99\00:03:54.33 So God said that if His people 00:03:54.36\00:03:56.03 were to obey certain health laws, 00:03:56.06\00:03:58.63 they wouldn't get the diseases 00:03:58.67\00:04:00.70 that the Egyptians were suffering from. 00:04:00.74\00:04:02.47 That's right. 00:04:02.50\00:04:03.84 And the Egyptians suffered from many of the diseases 00:04:03.87\00:04:05.61 we have today. 00:04:05.64\00:04:06.98 They had heart disease, they had cancer, 00:04:07.01\00:04:09.11 they had stroke, they had arthritis. 00:04:09.14\00:04:11.15 Paleopathologists have studied the diseases of ancient man, 00:04:11.18\00:04:14.35 they've scanned these mummies. 00:04:14.38\00:04:16.15 And they found that they have a lot of the same diseases 00:04:16.18\00:04:18.65 that we have today. 00:04:18.69\00:04:20.59 It's quite astounding, isn't it, that God says that, 00:04:20.62\00:04:24.26 "If you keep My laws that are found in the Bible, 00:04:24.29\00:04:26.93 you're not gonna get any of these terrible diseases." 00:04:26.96\00:04:29.20 That's right. 00:04:29.23\00:04:30.57 And because they ate everything, 00:04:30.60\00:04:31.93 they didn't follow healthy lifestyles, really. 00:04:31.97\00:04:33.94 In fact, we have the same problem today. 00:04:33.97\00:04:35.37 I call it the Standard American Diet or S-A-D, SAD. 00:04:35.40\00:04:39.07 SAD diet. 00:04:39.11\00:04:40.44 It's a toxic diet that Americans are eating today. 00:04:40.48\00:04:42.71 And we have... 00:04:42.74\00:04:44.11 These types of foods cause and promote premature aging. 00:04:44.15\00:04:48.72 Well, we're gonna be talking about this today. 00:04:48.75\00:04:50.62 And they lead to these diseases 00:04:50.65\00:04:52.15 that the same diseases that the Egyptians had. 00:04:52.19\00:04:56.12 And what you're telling us today 00:04:56.16\00:04:57.83 is that these diseases can be prevented? 00:04:57.86\00:05:01.06 They can be prevented. 00:05:01.10\00:05:02.43 And death can be delayed? 00:05:02.46\00:05:03.83 It can. 00:05:03.87\00:05:05.27 This is sort of amazing, isn't it? 00:05:05.30\00:05:06.77 It is. 00:05:06.80\00:05:08.14 And there are some verses, 00:05:08.17\00:05:09.50 and maybe why don't you read this, 00:05:09.54\00:05:10.87 Pastor Carter, from Deuteronomy. 00:05:10.91\00:05:12.24 Okay. 00:05:12.27\00:05:13.61 "I have set before you life and death, 00:05:13.64\00:05:15.98 blessing and cursing. 00:05:16.01\00:05:18.55 Therefore, choose life, 00:05:18.58\00:05:20.75 that both you and your descendants may live, 00:05:20.78\00:05:24.02 that you may love the Lord your God, 00:05:24.05\00:05:26.49 and that you may obey His voice, 00:05:26.52\00:05:29.49 and that you may cling to Him, 00:05:29.52\00:05:31.66 for He is your life 00:05:31.69\00:05:34.90 and the length of your days." 00:05:34.93\00:05:36.60 That's right. What does it mean? 00:05:36.63\00:05:37.97 Longer life. 00:05:38.00\00:05:39.33 God is who...He gives us life. Yes. 00:05:39.37\00:05:41.74 He's the great physician. Yes. 00:05:41.77\00:05:43.41 And if we follow His commandments 00:05:43.44\00:05:45.47 and live according to His health laws, 00:05:45.51\00:05:47.18 we can have much longer life. 00:05:47.21\00:05:49.74 Now the Egyptians didn't obey those laws, did they? 00:05:49.78\00:05:51.81 They didn't. 00:05:51.85\00:05:53.18 They ate everything that creeped, crawled, or flu. 00:05:53.21\00:05:55.48 You name it, they ate it. Yeah. 00:05:55.52\00:05:57.25 They didn't have it. 00:05:57.29\00:05:58.69 They didn't follow those Mosaic health laws 00:05:58.72\00:06:00.39 that were given to the... 00:06:00.42\00:06:01.76 And they were not a healthy people? 00:06:01.79\00:06:03.12 They weren't. They were like us today? 00:06:03.16\00:06:04.69 They are. 00:06:04.73\00:06:06.06 And there's a scripture that also... 00:06:06.09\00:06:08.66 Oh, here we go, the Garden of Eden. 00:06:08.70\00:06:10.87 Yes. 00:06:10.90\00:06:12.23 And so back in the Garden of Eden, 00:06:12.27\00:06:13.90 in the Bible, at the very beginning of time, 00:06:13.94\00:06:16.94 how were things different to what they are now? 00:06:16.97\00:06:19.77 Well, of course, the Garden of Eden was a paradise. 00:06:19.81\00:06:22.84 It was a wonderful place to live. 00:06:22.88\00:06:25.25 The man lived in harmony with his other animals. 00:06:25.28\00:06:28.35 And he had a very healthy diet. 00:06:28.38\00:06:31.09 In fact, we read in the scriptures 00:06:31.12\00:06:33.76 about the original diet of man, 00:06:33.79\00:06:36.12 which was a healthy plant-based diet. 00:06:36.16\00:06:38.56 It was actually a vegetarian diet. 00:06:38.59\00:06:40.33 Do you want to read this scripture? 00:06:40.36\00:06:41.70 "And God said, 'Behold, I have given you 00:06:41.73\00:06:43.53 every herb bearing seed, 00:06:43.57\00:06:45.73 which is upon the face of all the earth, 00:06:45.77\00:06:48.50 and every tree, 00:06:48.54\00:06:50.14 in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, 00:06:50.17\00:06:53.54 to you it shall be for meat or for food." 00:06:53.58\00:06:56.44 That's right. That was God's original diet. 00:06:56.48\00:06:58.61 And so they weren't having Big Macs? 00:06:58.65\00:07:00.28 They weren't. 00:07:00.32\00:07:01.65 And this was actually an anti-aging diet. 00:07:01.68\00:07:03.59 This is the original diet, is an all plant-food diet. 00:07:03.62\00:07:07.36 Most people don't seem to know this, do they? 00:07:07.39\00:07:09.22 They don't. 00:07:09.26\00:07:10.59 And a lot of Christians don't know this. 00:07:10.63\00:07:12.29 It's amazing what's in the Bible 00:07:12.33\00:07:13.86 when it talks about health and longevity. 00:07:13.90\00:07:15.46 And America has got a health crisis. 00:07:15.50\00:07:18.33 We do have a healthcare crisis. How bad is it? 00:07:18.37\00:07:20.67 It's very bad. 00:07:20.70\00:07:23.44 We are killing ourselves by the way we eat. 00:07:23.47\00:07:25.87 And the healthcare system is breaking down. 00:07:25.91\00:07:28.08 It is. 00:07:28.11\00:07:29.44 And we're spending lots of money. 00:07:29.48\00:07:30.81 And today, we're talking about secrets of anti-aging 00:07:30.85\00:07:34.45 and secrets of longevity. 00:07:34.48\00:07:37.82 And in fact, you know, in the Garden of Eden, 00:07:37.85\00:07:40.32 there was no killing, there was no death, 00:07:40.36\00:07:42.39 man lived in harmony with the other animals. 00:07:42.42\00:07:44.63 So they didn't kill the animals to eat the animals? 00:07:44.66\00:07:45.99 They didn't kill the animals. 00:07:46.03\00:07:47.36 They ate from what God provided. 00:07:47.40\00:07:49.90 And that was all those plant foods. 00:07:49.93\00:07:52.67 And in fact, there was a tree of life. 00:07:52.70\00:07:54.60 And you know, that tree of life, 00:07:54.64\00:07:55.97 there was something supernatural virtue 00:07:56.00\00:07:57.71 with that tree 00:07:57.74\00:07:59.07 because that was an antidote to death. 00:07:59.11\00:08:01.64 It was a secret to longevity and living forever. 00:08:01.68\00:08:05.01 That was God's intent. 00:08:05.05\00:08:06.38 And so you would think that the Creator God 00:08:06.41\00:08:09.48 who made us would know what we need? 00:08:09.52\00:08:12.29 That's right. 00:08:12.32\00:08:13.66 And so He gave us a special type of lifestyle, didn't He, 00:08:13.69\00:08:17.33 in the Garden of Eden? 00:08:17.36\00:08:18.69 He did. 00:08:18.73\00:08:20.06 And in Genesis, we read, 00:08:20.10\00:08:21.43 "The tree of the knowledge of good and evil 00:08:21.46\00:08:23.06 was the other tree." 00:08:23.10\00:08:24.43 Yes. 00:08:24.47\00:08:25.80 "And the Lord commanded the man, saying, 00:08:25.83\00:08:28.27 'Of every tree in the garden, you may freely eat, 00:08:28.30\00:08:31.67 but of the tree of the knowledge 00:08:31.71\00:08:33.38 of good and evil you shall not eat, 00:08:33.41\00:08:36.18 for in that day you eat of it, you shall surely die.' 00:08:36.21\00:08:40.52 " So here, we had one tree they could live forever. 00:08:40.55\00:08:43.35 It gives super health and longevity. 00:08:43.39\00:08:45.75 And then there's the other tree, 00:08:45.79\00:08:47.42 by eating it, making the wrong choice. 00:08:47.46\00:08:50.13 Yeah. That we will die. 00:08:50.16\00:08:51.66 And so it's all about choices. 00:08:51.69\00:08:54.66 And what happened? 00:08:54.70\00:08:56.26 They ate of it despite what God said. 00:08:56.30\00:08:58.60 And that's when sin entered the world. 00:08:58.63\00:09:00.94 And death did not come immediately, did it? 00:09:00.97\00:09:04.17 No. 00:09:04.21\00:09:05.54 But once they ate that fruit, which was forbidden, 00:09:05.57\00:09:08.71 the wages of sin is death, 00:09:08.74\00:09:10.55 they began to die, they began to age. 00:09:10.58\00:09:13.72 And that's when aging began. 00:09:13.75\00:09:15.55 Yeah. 00:09:15.58\00:09:16.99 And so we're talking today about how we can overcome this. 00:09:17.02\00:09:19.69 We are. 00:09:19.72\00:09:21.06 And we're going to talk about the original diet. 00:09:21.09\00:09:24.03 Is this is what we're going to talk about today? 00:09:24.06\00:09:26.49 Yes, we are going to talk about that 00:09:26.53\00:09:28.13 and other principles of anti-aging. 00:09:28.16\00:09:29.93 Yes. 00:09:29.96\00:09:31.30 Now you've mentioned that they still live long. 00:09:31.33\00:09:33.74 In fact, Adam, Bible tells us, He lived to be 930 years. 00:09:33.77\00:09:37.97 And it's interesting to see the ages 00:09:38.01\00:09:40.18 of the people in the Bible before the flood, 00:09:40.21\00:09:44.18 before sin entered the world, and after the flood. 00:09:44.21\00:09:47.12 And here, we have a list of all the patriarchs showing how... 00:09:47.15\00:09:52.29 Before the flood, 00:09:52.32\00:09:53.82 mankind lived to be over 900 years of age on average. 00:09:53.86\00:09:57.33 Why? Because... 00:09:57.36\00:10:00.10 I believe that too, don't you? I do. 00:10:00.13\00:10:02.46 Because they had come fresh from the hand of Almighty God. 00:10:02.50\00:10:05.37 They did. 00:10:05.40\00:10:06.74 And there's a number of reasons why they did. 00:10:06.77\00:10:08.44 First of all, when we look at, prior to the flood, 00:10:08.47\00:10:11.77 there was extraordinary longevity, 00:10:11.81\00:10:14.21 as they said, over 900 years. 00:10:14.24\00:10:16.14 And there's a number of reasons. 00:10:16.18\00:10:17.51 First of all, they had pristine genetics. 00:10:17.55\00:10:19.58 They're the beginning of time. Yeah. 00:10:19.61\00:10:21.48 And their genetics were pure. 00:10:21.52\00:10:22.85 Just and they weren't defiled. 00:10:22.88\00:10:24.35 That's right. Yeah. 00:10:24.39\00:10:25.72 Also, there was an optimal environment 00:10:25.75\00:10:27.46 and atmospheric conditions for planet earth. 00:10:27.49\00:10:29.32 We were unpolluted. 00:10:29.36\00:10:30.69 It was beautiful environment. Yeah. 00:10:30.73\00:10:32.09 And also, that healthy plant-based diet 00:10:32.13\00:10:34.20 that God had given them, the all plant-based foods 00:10:34.23\00:10:37.37 that contributed to their health and longevity. 00:10:37.40\00:10:39.03 And the other tree of life there, too, 00:10:39.07\00:10:40.50 they have food from. 00:10:40.54\00:10:41.87 Of course. 00:10:41.90\00:10:43.24 And so to a certain extent, 00:10:43.27\00:10:45.11 do you think we can learn something 00:10:45.14\00:10:47.58 from the first inhabitants? 00:10:47.61\00:10:50.15 Yes. 00:10:50.18\00:10:51.51 And what we learned that we have a choice. 00:10:51.55\00:10:53.55 Anti-aging. Yeah. 00:10:53.58\00:10:55.25 We can live and eat from foods that are healthy, 00:10:55.28\00:10:57.12 that give us long life, 00:10:57.15\00:10:58.49 or we can eat the other foods that will cause death. 00:10:58.52\00:11:01.56 So when we're talking about this, 00:11:01.59\00:11:04.23 we find that living such long lives 00:11:04.26\00:11:07.70 even after sin came in. 00:11:07.73\00:11:11.60 Then later on in the scriptures, 00:11:11.63\00:11:13.20 we're told that they're going to live for 120 years. 00:11:13.23\00:11:16.24 Yes. You know, that's in Genesis 6. 00:11:16.27\00:11:19.41 He made mankind to live for eternity. 00:11:19.44\00:11:21.44 Right. But then sin... Yes. 00:11:21.48\00:11:23.41 But sin came in when they rebelled against God. 00:11:23.45\00:11:26.28 And then it says, "The Lord said, 00:11:26.31\00:11:28.88 'My spirit will not contend with humans forever, 00:11:28.92\00:11:31.45 for they are mortal. 00:11:31.49\00:11:33.02 Their days will be 120 years.'" 00:11:33.05\00:11:35.99 So our life expectancy was cut short. 00:11:36.02\00:11:38.29 And what's very interesting about this 120 years, 00:11:38.33\00:11:40.96 today, scientists tell us 00:11:41.00\00:11:43.50 that we have the genetic potential 00:11:43.53\00:11:45.67 and the physical potential to live to be 120 years. 00:11:45.70\00:11:48.64 Do you think this is true? It is. 00:11:48.67\00:11:50.47 And it's happening. 00:11:50.51\00:11:51.84 And scientists are predicting 00:11:51.87\00:11:53.21 more people will be living longer, 00:11:53.24\00:11:55.11 but lifestyle and healthy living is a key factor in that. 00:11:55.14\00:11:59.35 So we're also told in the scriptures 00:11:59.38\00:12:02.08 that man will live 70 years and, 00:12:02.12\00:12:04.29 then by reason of strength, 80 years, 00:12:04.32\00:12:06.96 but God actually decreed that 00:12:06.99\00:12:08.46 that would not necessarily be so. 00:12:08.49\00:12:10.79 That man had the capacity even in this fallen state 00:12:10.83\00:12:15.66 to live to be 120. 00:12:15.70\00:12:17.03 That's right. 00:12:17.07\00:12:18.40 Well, what does man have to do to live to be 120? 00:12:18.43\00:12:21.07 Well, he has to follow these laws of nature 00:12:21.10\00:12:24.01 that can contribute to their health 00:12:24.04\00:12:25.54 and wellness for a long life. 00:12:25.57\00:12:27.04 What should we do? 00:12:30.75\00:12:32.51 Now this, we've got a statement here on aging. 00:12:32.55\00:12:35.78 Yeah. This is... Can we talk? 00:12:35.82\00:12:37.45 Let's talk about aging, can we? Yes. 00:12:37.49\00:12:38.95 This is the definition of aging 00:12:38.99\00:12:40.52 according to the Webster's New World Dictionary. 00:12:40.56\00:12:42.59 Yeah. 00:12:42.62\00:12:43.96 It's the process of growing old 00:12:43.99\00:12:45.33 and showing signs of growing old. 00:12:45.36\00:12:47.10 Now that's an old definition because today, 00:12:47.13\00:12:50.07 there's things we can do to live longer. 00:12:50.10\00:12:53.03 And there's two different types of age. 00:12:53.07\00:12:54.80 We have our chronological age and we have our biological age. 00:12:54.84\00:12:58.17 Now chronologically, every year you get a year older, right? 00:12:58.21\00:13:00.64 Yeah, I noticed. 00:13:00.68\00:13:02.01 So the chronological age is a number of days, 00:13:02.04\00:13:04.45 months, or years that a person has to live. 00:13:04.48\00:13:07.82 Now the biological age is the health and performance 00:13:07.85\00:13:11.45 of a person's body systems and it predicts our longevity. 00:13:11.49\00:13:14.62 So we can live... 00:13:14.66\00:13:15.99 We can actually... 00:13:16.02\00:13:17.36 You could be 50 years old 00:13:17.39\00:13:18.73 and live an unhealthy lifestyle, 00:13:18.76\00:13:20.10 but you actually are older, 00:13:20.13\00:13:22.66 maybe 60 because you're smoking 00:13:22.70\00:13:24.90 and drinking and overweight. 00:13:24.93\00:13:26.94 And on the other hand, you can be 50 years old 00:13:26.97\00:13:28.77 and eating healthy, getting regular exercise, 00:13:28.80\00:13:31.41 and you could be younger, you might be only 40. 00:13:31.44\00:13:33.74 Let's say 20. 00:13:33.78\00:13:35.21 Okay, even 20. 00:13:35.24\00:13:36.58 Well, but anyway, so those are the things. 00:13:36.61\00:13:38.55 Now there are places you can go to find out 00:13:38.58\00:13:41.45 what your biological age is. 00:13:41.48\00:13:44.85 But this is the problem here we have today. 00:13:44.89\00:13:46.82 We're spending about $3 trillion, actually, 00:13:46.86\00:13:49.29 more than that on our healthcare today. 00:13:49.32\00:13:50.73 This is amazing, isn't it? That's right. 00:13:50.76\00:13:52.66 More than any other country in the world. 00:13:52.69\00:13:54.80 That's right. 00:13:54.83\00:13:56.16 And probably more than 00:13:56.20\00:13:57.53 the rest of the world is spending. 00:13:57.57\00:13:58.90 That's right.
