meteor across the night sky, 00:00:09.54\00:00:12.41 they change the course of history. 00:00:12.44\00:00:15.31 They show us the way forward. 00:00:15.34\00:00:18.25 Welcome to The Game Changers. 00:00:18.28\00:00:22.38 I want to give you today 00:00:25.65\00:00:27.02 a tremendous welcome to this program 00:00:27.06\00:00:30.06 because you are going to enjoy it, 00:00:30.09\00:00:33.23 and you're going to be better after it. 00:00:33.26\00:00:36.73 Starting in 1927 Time magazine, you'll read Time magazine? 00:00:36.77\00:00:42.67 Time magazine selected a man or a woman of the year. 00:00:42.70\00:00:48.24 In 1999, the category was enlarged 00:00:48.28\00:00:51.51 to person of the year, 00:00:51.55\00:00:55.32 someone who had made a worldwide impact 00:00:55.35\00:01:00.86 for good or for bad. 00:01:00.89\00:01:04.56 In more recent times, it's basically for the person 00:01:04.59\00:01:08.93 whom they think maybe 00:01:08.96\00:01:11.23 has made an impact for good. 00:01:11.27\00:01:15.24 Hitler in 1938... 00:01:15.27\00:01:18.07 Can you believe this? 00:01:18.11\00:01:20.14 Man of the year, he made an impact. 00:01:20.18\00:01:23.48 Stalin in 1939 00:01:23.51\00:01:28.08 and a repeat in 1942, the man of blood, 00:01:28.12\00:01:33.02 killed about 60 million people. 00:01:33.05\00:01:35.82 Wallis Simpson in 1936. 00:01:35.86\00:01:39.06 Who's heard of Wallis Simpson? 00:01:39.09\00:01:41.16 You haven't heard of Wallis Simpson? 00:01:41.20\00:01:44.60 I'm disgusted. 00:01:44.63\00:01:46.74 Wallis Simpson was the lady 00:01:46.77\00:01:49.24 who ran off with the King of England. 00:01:49.27\00:01:54.34 And he was forced... 00:01:54.38\00:01:55.71 And she was an American, 00:01:55.74\00:02:01.58 a divorcee. 00:02:01.62\00:02:05.72 And so he was forced to abdicate, 00:02:05.75\00:02:08.72 but she made it, woman of the year. 00:02:08.76\00:02:11.26 Queen Elizabeth, 00:02:11.29\00:02:13.13 you all know the Queen of England, 00:02:13.16\00:02:16.77 the great Queen 1952, woman of the year. 00:02:16.80\00:02:22.04 Churchill, the man of the half-century, 00:02:22.07\00:02:25.87 the man who saved the world, hopefully the democracy. 00:02:25.91\00:02:31.28 Gorbachev, 1989, man of the decade, 00:02:31.31\00:02:35.18 you know of Gorbachev, don't you? 00:02:35.22\00:02:37.82 One of my great heroes, 00:02:37.85\00:02:40.39 the man who broke down the walls 00:02:40.42\00:02:43.99 of separation between the Soviet Union and us. 00:02:44.03\00:02:47.90 He brought in if my memory is working, 00:02:47.93\00:02:50.93 glasnost and perestroika. 00:02:50.97\00:02:54.10 Yeah, great man. 00:02:54.14\00:02:56.30 Man of the decade, Martin Luther King. 00:02:56.34\00:03:00.38 Man of the year in 1963, who brought in civil rights 00:03:00.41\00:03:05.25 especially for our black brothers and sisters. 00:03:05.28\00:03:08.42 And in 2016, 00:03:08.45\00:03:13.25 Donald Trump, man of the year. 00:03:13.29\00:03:18.59 All the presidents have become 00:03:18.63\00:03:21.86 man of the year except three. 00:03:21.90\00:03:26.47 Einstein in 1999 00:03:26.50\00:03:30.64 was the person of the century 00:03:30.67\00:03:34.28 because really he gave us the hydrogen bomb. 00:03:34.31\00:03:37.98 1999 was the year 00:03:38.01\00:03:39.85 where it's changed to person of the year, 00:03:39.88\00:03:43.99 and in 2015, it was Angela Merkel. 00:03:44.02\00:03:49.29 You know who she is? 00:03:49.32\00:03:51.03 The Chancellor of Germany 00:03:51.06\00:03:53.53 and really a significant person. 00:03:53.56\00:03:57.07 All of these people had one thing in common. 00:03:57.10\00:04:01.10 They're all great game changers, 00:04:01.14\00:04:03.84 people who've made a significant contribution 00:04:03.87\00:04:08.11 in some way or the other to the human race. 00:04:08.14\00:04:11.21 Now today, we are starting 00:04:11.25\00:04:13.42 a new dynamic and marvelous series, 00:04:13.45\00:04:17.65 The Game Changers, 00:04:17.69\00:04:20.19 the most important people in history, 00:04:20.22\00:04:22.22 more important than Times people. 00:04:22.26\00:04:25.06 Most important people in history, 00:04:25.09\00:04:27.63 in the history of the world, 00:04:27.66\00:04:29.63 and all of these people without an exception 00:04:29.66\00:04:31.77 have been game changers 00:04:31.80\00:04:34.54 who changed the world for the better. 00:04:34.57\00:04:38.07 People show us how to die and possibly, 00:04:38.11\00:04:43.31 more importantly how to live, 00:04:43.35\00:04:46.41 who reveal the spiritual secrets of success 00:04:46.45\00:04:49.65 over and beyond. 00:04:49.68\00:04:53.09 We can learn so much from the game changers, 00:04:53.12\00:04:56.52 God's game changers. 00:04:56.56\00:04:58.56 I promise you the game changers will change you 00:04:58.59\00:05:03.87 and will bless you. 00:05:03.90\00:05:06.33 And the first game changer we're starting with today 00:05:06.37\00:05:11.74 is one of the greatest people 00:05:11.77\00:05:13.78 who've ever walked upon planet earth. 00:05:13.81\00:05:17.98 One of the greatest of all human beings 00:05:18.01\00:05:21.18 almost without a peer, 00:05:21.22\00:05:23.42 his name is Moses, 00:05:23.45\00:05:28.06 the prince of Egypt, 00:05:28.09\00:05:29.76 the man who could have been king. 00:05:29.79\00:05:33.23 And I want to turn in the Bible 00:05:33.26\00:05:34.60 to Hebrews 11:23, my friends, 00:05:34.63\00:05:39.47 going to turn over here to the Book of Hebrews 00:05:39.50\00:05:43.71 in the New Testament. 00:05:43.74\00:05:46.27 And this book, of course, was written to the Hebrews, 00:05:46.31\00:05:49.64 all the Jewish people. 00:05:49.68\00:05:51.01 Hebrews 11:23, it says, 00:05:51.05\00:05:55.58 "By faith Moses, when he was born, 00:05:55.62\00:06:01.16 was hidden three months by his parents, 00:06:01.19\00:06:05.33 because they saw he was a beautiful child, 00:06:05.36\00:06:10.57 and they were not afraid of the king's command." 00:06:10.60\00:06:15.30 Egypt, have you been to Egypt? 00:06:15.34\00:06:19.34 Some of you've been to Egypt. 00:06:19.37\00:06:20.88 I've been to Egypt many, many, many times. 00:06:20.91\00:06:24.11 Did you know this Egypt was the world's superpower, 00:06:24.15\00:06:28.82 Egypt ruled the whole of the world, 00:06:28.85\00:06:32.65 all the then known world for more than 2,000 years. 00:06:32.69\00:06:35.96 Has a history that goes back thousands 00:06:35.99\00:06:38.46 and thousands of years. 00:06:38.49\00:06:40.60 And Moses was the prince of Egypt 00:06:40.63\00:06:44.47 who could have been the king. 00:06:44.50\00:06:48.47 The pyramids 00:06:48.50\00:06:50.91 were a thousand years old 00:06:50.94\00:06:54.74 when Moses was born. 00:06:54.78\00:06:56.58 And so he was born 00:06:56.61\00:06:58.11 into a mature 00:06:58.15\00:07:00.92 and advanced civilization. 00:07:00.95\00:07:04.62 Amazing. 00:07:04.65\00:07:06.82 He was born 3,500 years ago 00:07:06.86\00:07:11.33 at the height of Egypt's power. 00:07:11.36\00:07:14.36 I've had the privilege of going 00:07:14.40\00:07:16.43 into the Cairo Museum on many occasions, 00:07:16.46\00:07:19.90 walking around the streets of Egypt's great cities 00:07:19.93\00:07:25.31 with my friend Randall Younker, 00:07:25.34\00:07:28.28 one of the world's greatest biblical archaeologists 00:07:28.31\00:07:31.55 from Andrews University. 00:07:31.58\00:07:33.38 And when you go to this place, 00:07:33.42\00:07:35.75 you have a sense that you are walking 00:07:35.78\00:07:38.52 in the footsteps 00:07:38.55\00:07:40.96 of the greatest people or some of the greatest people. 00:07:40.99\00:07:45.16 When Moses was born at the height of Egypt's power, 00:07:45.19\00:07:48.60 he was born at the time of... 00:07:48.63\00:07:52.23 Now, listen to this 00:07:52.27\00:07:53.60 'cause it's almost too hard to believe, 00:07:53.64\00:07:55.30 he was born at the time of the Moses kings. 00:07:55.34\00:07:58.11 Did you know this? 00:07:58.14\00:08:01.11 Most of the kings 00:08:01.14\00:08:02.48 during this time have got Moses, 00:08:02.51\00:08:04.68 which is an Egyptian word in their name, 00:08:04.71\00:08:07.05 Tutmose, Ahmoses, Rameses, 00:08:07.08\00:08:11.35 whom we call Rameses, and so forth. 00:08:11.39\00:08:14.39 So he was born at the time of the Moses kings. 00:08:14.42\00:08:18.33 The children of Israel had been living in Egypt 00:08:18.36\00:08:20.93 for hundreds of years. 00:08:20.96\00:08:23.47 You know the story of how 00:08:23.50\00:08:25.03 Israel or Jacob went down into the land of Egypt, 00:08:25.07\00:08:29.04 and the people multiplied tremendously, 00:08:29.07\00:08:32.37 and they became a security threat 00:08:32.41\00:08:36.34 to the Pharaoh. 00:08:36.38\00:08:37.71 And the Pharaoh sent out a decree 00:08:37.75\00:08:39.45 that they were to become slaves. 00:08:39.48\00:08:41.92 There is evidence of Semitic slavery 00:08:41.95\00:08:45.69 in the land of Egypt. 00:08:45.72\00:08:47.06 I've seen it with my eyes. 00:08:47.09\00:08:48.62 And finally, in desperation, Pharaoh made this decree, 00:08:48.66\00:08:52.83 kill not the girls but kill the boys. 00:08:52.86\00:08:58.90 And there was this beautiful little baby boy 00:08:58.93\00:09:02.54 who was born and his mother in desperation 00:09:02.57\00:09:07.08 took him down to the mighty Nile River. 00:09:07.11\00:09:13.08 And she placed him in this little basket 00:09:13.11\00:09:17.22 and she let him go 00:09:17.25\00:09:20.12 upon the bosom of the Nile River. 00:09:20.16\00:09:24.09 And the Bible tells a story 00:09:24.13\00:09:25.69 that the princess came down to bathe. 00:09:25.73\00:09:29.16 And she saw this basket and she opened the basket 00:09:32.43\00:09:35.97 and her heart was touched by the crying of a baby. 00:09:36.00\00:09:40.74 Now, I'm somewhat convinced 00:09:40.78\00:09:46.01 that we know who this princess was. 00:09:46.05\00:09:49.55 I think it was the woman 00:09:49.58\00:09:50.95 who created this great, great marvelous temple 00:09:50.99\00:09:54.49 that is called Deir El-Bahari 00:09:54.52\00:09:57.83 which is on the west bank of the River Nile at Luxor. 00:09:57.86\00:10:01.50 Dr. Randall Younker, I believe is a great scholar. 00:10:01.53\00:10:06.13 And I think he would indicate from the Bible 00:10:06.17\00:10:09.40 that the princess 00:10:09.44\00:10:10.87 was Princess Hatshepsut 00:10:10.91\00:10:15.64 who became the Pharaoh. 00:10:15.68\00:10:17.68 But the interesting thing is this, 00:10:17.71\00:10:20.08 she goes down, she sees the baby, 00:10:20.12\00:10:24.12 and then there's a little girl there. 00:10:24.15\00:10:28.36 And the little girl say... 00:10:28.39\00:10:29.72 The little girl's name is Miriam. 00:10:29.76\00:10:32.76 I want you to notice the text however in the Bible, 00:10:32.79\00:10:35.93 Exodus 2:1-3. 00:10:35.96\00:10:40.54 Exodus 2:1-3 00:10:40.57\00:10:46.68 in the Old Testament, 00:10:46.71\00:10:50.41 "And a man of the house of Levi went 00:10:50.45\00:10:52.58 and took as wife a daughter of Levi. 00:10:52.61\00:10:54.68 So the woman conceived and bore a son. 00:10:54.72\00:10:57.32 And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, 00:10:57.35\00:11:00.09 she hid him three months. 00:11:00.12\00:11:01.96 But when she could no longer hide him, 00:11:01.99\00:11:03.89 she took an ark of bulrushes for him, 00:11:03.93\00:11:06.76 daubed it with asphalt and pitch, 00:11:06.80\00:11:09.36 put the child in it, 00:11:09.40\00:11:11.30 and laid it in the reeds by the river's bank." 00:11:11.33\00:11:15.00 But here is the little girl, 00:11:15.04\00:11:18.81 the big sister of Moses. 00:11:18.84\00:11:22.18 And when the baby is discovered 00:11:22.21\00:11:25.58 and the baby cries, the little girl says, 00:11:25.61\00:11:30.72 "Can I help you? 00:11:30.75\00:11:33.52 Can I fetch a Hebrew woman?" 00:11:33.56\00:11:37.43 And she runs off and she gets the mother of Moses. 00:11:37.46\00:11:42.70 And Moses immediately is 00:11:42.73\00:11:47.60 no longer in fear of his life. 00:11:47.64\00:11:51.41 And what is more, 00:11:51.44\00:11:52.77 the mother who'd been struggling 00:11:52.81\00:11:54.51 to put the money together 00:11:54.54\00:11:57.08 to feed a family immediately 00:11:57.11\00:12:00.45 is on the payroll of Pharaoh. 00:12:00.48\00:12:04.02 And people tell me 00:12:04.05\00:12:05.39 they don't believe in the providence of God. 00:12:05.42\00:12:08.12 It was in the providence of God 00:12:08.16\00:12:10.19 that Hatshepsut went down there. 00:12:10.23\00:12:12.46 It was in the providence of God that the baby cried. 00:12:12.49\00:12:15.56 It was in the providence of God that Miriam was there 00:12:15.60\00:12:18.77 and that the mother was called. 00:12:18.80\00:12:20.90 Now, what I want you to know is this, 00:12:20.94\00:12:23.87 as we talk about these great people 00:12:23.91\00:12:25.97 who've changed the course of history. 00:12:26.01\00:12:28.01 God has a plan and a destiny for every person. 00:12:28.04\00:12:32.75 God had a plan and a destiny for the little baby Moses. 00:12:32.78\00:12:37.55 And God has a plan and a destiny for you. 00:12:37.59\00:12:41.02 Every person watching the telecast today, 00:12:41.06\00:12:43.96 you are important in the sight of God, 00:12:43.99\00:12:46.23 and God has got a plan, 00:12:46.26\00:12:47.60 and a purpose, and a destiny for you. 00:12:47.63\00:12:50.00 He's watching over you, you are never, never alone. 00:12:50.03\00:12:54.77 Now, I want you to notice 00:12:54.80\00:12:58.54 chapter 2, verses 6 and onwards, 00:12:58.57\00:13:02.74 Exodus 2:6 and onwards, 00:13:02.78\00:13:06.58 "And when she opened it, she saw the child, 00:13:06.61\00:13:08.55 and behold, the baby wept. 00:13:08.58\00:13:10.62 So she had compassion on him, and said, 00:13:10.65\00:13:12.49 'This is one of the Hebrews' children.' 00:13:12.52\00:13:14.56 Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, 00:13:14.59\00:13:16.86 'Shall I go and call a nurse for you 00:13:16.89\00:13:18.96 from the Hebrew women, 00:13:18.99\00:13:20.33 that she may nurse the child for you?' 00:13:20.36\00:13:22.43 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her 'Go.' 00:13:22.46\00:13:25.03 So the maiden went and called 00:13:25.07\00:13:27.50 the child's mother." 00:13:27.54\00:13:31.37 The word "Moses" is an interesting word. 00:13:31.41\00:13:34.54 It's an ancient Egyptian word and it's a Hebrew word. 00:13:38.05\00:13:42.98 And in the Egyptian language, it means "born of." 00:13:43.02\00:13:48.59 And so when she called him Moses, 00:13:48.62\00:13:52.39 she could very well have been using the Egyptian word 00:13:52.43\00:13:56.13 and she could well have been using 00:13:56.16\00:13:58.23 the Hebrew word which she probably understood. 00:13:58.27\00:14:02.17 The Hebrew word means drawn out. 00:14:02.20\00:14:05.24 And so he was drawn out of the river, 00:14:05.27\00:14:09.21 but he was also born of the river. 00:14:09.24\00:14:14.22 And so he was in her thinking 00:14:14.25\00:14:17.99 a very, very special little baby 00:14:18.02\00:14:21.52 that had the favor of the gods, 00:14:21.56\00:14:24.69 God provides. 00:14:24.73\00:14:28.00 His mother had him for a few years, 00:14:28.03\00:14:30.43 most likely 12 years. 00:14:30.47\00:14:32.77 During this time, she did everything 00:14:32.80\00:14:34.67 she could to teach this little boy 00:14:34.70\00:14:40.04 the great truths about the great God. 00:14:40.08\00:14:43.35 And that her people had been called by God, 00:14:43.38\00:14:45.75 and that they were now slaves, 00:14:45.78\00:14:47.42 and that God had a purpose for this little boy. 00:14:47.45\00:14:52.72 I want every person watching the telecast to know today 00:14:52.75\00:14:55.82 that there is a divine providence, 00:14:55.86\00:14:59.19 and God has got a purpose for every life, 00:14:59.23\00:15:03.23 and the purpose of God for you 00:15:03.26\00:15:05.73 is that you will fulfill this purpose 00:15:05.77\00:15:08.04 and find true greatness. 00:15:08.07\00:15:11.01 This is the purpose of God. 00:15:11.04\00:15:14.14 His education, Acts 7:21 and 22, 00:15:14.18\00:15:18.11 would you look at it please. 00:15:18.15\00:15:20.68 "But when he was set out, 00:15:20.72\00:15:22.15 Pharaoh's daughter took him away 00:15:22.18\00:15:24.19 and brought him up as her own son." 00:15:24.22\00:15:27.19 Palace of Pharaoh. 00:15:27.22\00:15:28.59 "And Moses was learned in all the wisdom 00:15:28.62\00:15:31.66 of the Egyptians, 00:15:31.69\00:15:33.03 and was mighty in words and in deed." 00:15:33.06\00:15:36.20 Some people who don't know a great deal 00:15:39.97\00:15:44.47 about ancient history think that these 00:15:44.51\00:15:48.11 ancient people were barbarians. 00:15:48.14\00:15:53.95 The ancient Egyptians 00:15:53.98\00:15:55.32 were some of the most amazing people 00:15:55.35\00:15:58.49 on the face of the earth. 00:15:58.52\00:16:01.89 Moses got through Pharaoh, 00:16:01.92\00:16:06.16 the best education that the world could provide. 00:16:06.19\00:16:10.87 These were the people 00:16:10.90\00:16:12.23 who did astounding engineering marvels. 00:16:12.27\00:16:16.91 I've seen them many, many times. 00:16:16.94\00:16:19.84 A marvelous system of writing, 00:16:19.87\00:16:22.31 they studied the stars. 00:16:22.34\00:16:25.75 Moses went to the Oxford, or the Cambridge, 00:16:25.78\00:16:29.88 or Harvard of his day, all expenses paid. 00:16:29.92\00:16:34.62 God wanted this young boy to get the best 00:16:34.66\00:16:37.36 that the world could give him. 00:16:37.39\00:16:40.10 God provided for his education. 00:16:40.13\00:16:44.07 Listen, 00:16:44.10\00:16:47.07 God will provide for your needs. 00:16:47.10\00:16:51.57 If you are in the right relationship with God, 00:16:51.61\00:16:56.38 God will even provide for your education 00:16:56.41\00:17:00.15 because you're the son of the king. 00:17:00.18\00:17:05.02 Then the great crisis came 00:17:05.05\00:17:06.39 when he was about 40 years of age, 00:17:06.42\00:17:08.82 he was a mighty prince of Egypt, 00:17:08.86\00:17:11.43 one of the greatest. 00:17:11.46\00:17:13.53 He could have become the Pharaoh. 00:17:13.56\00:17:16.56 And one day, he saw an Egyptian 00:17:16.60\00:17:18.07 beating a Hebrew. 00:17:18.10\00:17:20.14 And Moses was a hot-headed man and Moses... 00:17:20.17\00:17:23.34 The Bible says, "Looked this way and that way." 00:17:23.37\00:17:25.91 And then he took the law 00:17:25.94\00:17:28.24 and God's purpose into his own hands 00:17:28.28\00:17:31.38 and he killed the Egyptian. 00:17:31.41\00:17:33.38 That's found in Exodus 2:12, it says, 00:17:33.42\00:17:38.45 "So he looked this way and that way, 00:17:38.49\00:17:40.86 and when he saw no one, 00:17:40.89\00:17:42.79 he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand." 00:17:42.82\00:17:48.36 Therefore the most astounding truth is this, 00:17:48.40\00:17:52.73 that Moses who gave us 00:17:52.77\00:17:54.37 the first five books of the Bible, 00:17:54.40\00:17:58.27 the most important words ever said by human lips 00:17:58.31\00:18:02.61 "in the beginning, 00:18:02.64\00:18:03.98 God created the heavens and the earth" 00:18:04.01\00:18:06.51 came from Moses. 00:18:06.55\00:18:07.88 He wrote Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, 00:18:07.92\00:18:11.22 and Deuteronomy. 00:18:11.25\00:18:14.32 And Moses was a murderer. 00:18:14.36\00:18:15.69 Sometimes we like to think, well you know, 00:18:19.59\00:18:21.76 he didn't know what he's doing, 00:18:21.80\00:18:24.27 he looked this way and he looked that way. 00:18:24.30\00:18:28.00 It was premeditated murder. 00:18:28.04\00:18:33.01 But it shows you the amazing power 00:18:33.04\00:18:36.61 of the grace of God. 00:18:36.64\00:18:38.78 I want you to know this, 00:18:38.81\00:18:40.38 God's grace is greater than all of our sins. 00:18:40.42\00:18:45.12 I want you to know this. 00:18:45.15\00:18:46.49 You know, the amazing old English hymn 00:18:46.52\00:18:49.76 "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, 00:18:49.79\00:18:53.09 that saved a wretch like me." 00:18:53.13\00:18:56.97 You know who wrote it, don't you? 00:18:57.00\00:18:59.20 John Newton, a Church of England minister. 00:18:59.23\00:19:02.20 He was the captain of a slave ship. 00:19:02.24\00:19:06.34 Do you know what they used to do 00:19:06.37\00:19:07.71 to some of those black slaves? 00:19:07.74\00:19:09.88 They used to throw them overboard out on the ocean, 00:19:09.91\00:19:13.28 they'd throw them overboard, men, women, and children. 00:19:13.31\00:19:17.25 You know why? 00:19:17.29\00:19:19.09 They could claim the insurance. 00:19:19.12\00:19:23.16 Amazing grace. 00:19:23.19\00:19:26.39 And God redeemed him. 00:19:26.43\00:19:27.76 Therefore, I would say this, 00:19:27.80\00:19:29.26 every person who is discouraged, 00:19:29.30\00:19:31.60 never despair, never give up hope, 00:19:31.63\00:19:35.40 never, never, never 00:19:35.44\00:19:36.87 because the grace of God 00:19:36.91\00:19:38.24 is greater than all of our sins, you see. 00:19:38.27\00:19:42.71 Now the story goes on and says this, 00:19:42.74\00:19:44.91 Moses fled to Midian in the wilderness. 00:19:44.95\00:19:49.98 Pharaoh said, "I'm going to kill you." 00:19:50.02\00:19:51.35 So he fled, had to leave Egypt, 00:19:51.39\00:19:53.76 he fled to Midian. 00:19:53.79\00:19:56.49 And there he met seven women at the well, 00:19:56.52\00:20:02.23 the daughters of Jethro, the priest, 00:20:02.26\00:20:07.04 a Midian, a man of God. 00:20:07.07\00:20:09.20 Later on, he married Zipporah. 00:20:09.24\00:20:12.47 God provided him with a wife. 00:20:12.51\00:20:15.34 The great God of the Bible is the God 00:20:15.38\00:20:18.51 who provides people with all of their needs 00:20:18.55\00:20:22.05 including their spouses. 00:20:22.08\00:20:24.25 God has got a partner for you, He has. 00:20:24.29\00:20:28.96 Then he became a shepherd in the wilderness, 00:20:28.99\00:20:32.23 wait for this, for 40 years. 00:20:32.26\00:20:35.40 I wish every one of you could come with me to Egypt 00:20:35.43\00:20:38.30 and see the glory of that ancient land. 00:20:38.33\00:20:41.40 And we see it not as it was, 00:20:41.44\00:20:44.21 now as it is broken down 00:20:44.24\00:20:46.24 and decayed after thousands of years. 00:20:46.27\00:20:49.08 But he left the glory of Pharaoh's palace 00:20:49.11\00:20:52.28 and was driven into the wilderness. 00:20:52.31\00:20:54.75 And he is there for 40 years, 00:20:54.78\00:20:57.85 can you believe this? 00:20:57.89\00:21:00.99 A shepherd in the wilderness 00:21:01.02\00:21:02.72 looking after sheep for 40 years 00:21:02.76\00:21:06.63 in the university of God almighty. 00:21:06.66\00:21:10.90 I want you to know this, folks, 00:21:10.93\00:21:12.33 before you can stand on the mountain, 00:21:12.37\00:21:15.20 you've got to go down to the valley. 00:21:15.24\00:21:18.97 Before you can go to the land of milk and honey, 00:21:19.01\00:21:21.51 you've got to live in the desert. 00:21:21.54\00:21:24.78 Before you can live with the saint, 00:21:24.81\00:21:26.55 you've got to live with the sheep. 00:21:26.58\00:21:31.95 I know of a minister in Australia 00:21:31.99\00:21:34.26 and his wife who've gone through a terrible time, 00:21:34.29\00:21:37.36 treated so unjustly, 00:21:37.39\00:21:40.03 had a great job, 00:21:40.06\00:21:42.46 dismissed from his job for no lawful reason, 00:21:42.50\00:21:46.37 just done in. 00:21:46.40\00:21:47.84 But I want him to know if he's watching this telecast, 00:21:51.37\00:21:54.88 your best days are still to come. 00:21:54.91\00:21:58.11 Want you to know this. 00:21:58.15\00:21:59.91 You may be down in the valley, you may be in the wilderness. 00:21:59.95\00:22:05.05 I can think of a lady 00:22:05.09\00:22:06.42 who's had a terrible sickness for years and she said, 00:22:06.45\00:22:10.29 "Why doesn't God do something for me? 00:22:10.33\00:22:14.16 I feel depressed, I feel sick." 00:22:14.20\00:22:16.93 I want to tell you, I want you to know this. 00:22:16.97\00:22:19.20 You may be down in the wilderness, 00:22:19.23\00:22:21.64 but one day you're gonna stand on top of the mountain, 00:22:21.67\00:22:24.67 and one day you're going to go to the promised land, 00:22:24.71\00:22:27.41 you see, the best is still to come. 00:22:27.44\00:22:33.08 Away from the glory of Egypt, 00:22:33.11\00:22:35.75 Moses saw the glory of God. 00:22:35.78\00:22:39.55 He graduated 00:22:39.59\00:22:40.92 from the University of Hard Knocks 00:22:40.96\00:22:43.02 whose colors are black and blue. 00:22:43.06\00:22:46.39 But ahead was the mountain and the land of milk and honey. 00:22:46.43\00:22:51.83 God has a glorious destiny for you 00:22:51.87\00:22:54.14 when you are a child of God, God has not forgotten you. 00:22:54.17\00:22:57.77 You have a glorious future. 00:22:57.81\00:23:01.78 You can divide Moses' life up into three parts, 00:23:01.81\00:23:05.98 40 years learning, 00:23:06.01\00:23:09.18 and 40 years unlearning, 00:23:09.22\00:23:12.45 and the last 40 years doing the will of God. 00:23:12.49\00:23:17.13 He had to unlearn a lot of things. 00:23:17.16\00:23:22.16 And then after 40 years, 00:23:22.20\00:23:25.93 he led the flock to the back of the mountain. 00:23:25.97\00:23:30.47 And as he led the flock to the back of the mountain, 00:23:30.51\00:23:34.24 he saw the most amazing spectacle 00:23:34.28\00:23:38.41 that I could have ever, ever, ever see, 00:23:38.45\00:23:41.72 he saw a bush that was on fire 00:23:41.75\00:23:46.25 and the bush was not consumed. 00:23:46.29\00:23:49.32 And when he got over near the bush, 00:23:49.36\00:23:53.76 he heard a voice that said, 00:23:53.80\00:23:57.27 "Moses. 00:23:57.30\00:24:00.10 Moses." 00:24:00.14\00:24:02.07 He said, "Who are you?" 00:24:02.10\00:24:05.14 The person said, 00:24:05.17\00:24:07.64 "I am Yahweh, Elohim. 00:24:07.68\00:24:11.38 I am the Almighty God." 00:24:11.41\00:24:15.48 Moses was afraid to look upon God. 00:24:15.52\00:24:19.39 And Moses heard the voice of God saying, 00:24:19.42\00:24:22.32 "Moses, you've been in the wilderness 00:24:22.36\00:24:24.93 in My university for 40 years. 00:24:24.96\00:24:30.00 You're now an old man of 80 but now... 00:24:30.03\00:24:35.14 the time for which you were born has come. 00:24:35.17\00:24:39.01 I've heard the cry of your people 00:24:42.74\00:24:45.71 and My people in the land of Egypt. 00:24:45.75\00:24:48.52 Now, 00:24:48.55\00:24:49.88 therefore go to Pharaoh. 00:24:49.92\00:24:55.06 And when you go to Pharaoh, 00:24:55.09\00:24:57.93 take this rod, 00:24:57.96\00:25:01.13 your rod, 00:25:01.16\00:25:04.03 and go and stand before Pharaoh, 00:25:04.07\00:25:06.97 the greatest and the most powerful person in the world. 00:25:07.00\00:25:12.91 Go stand before the great Pharaoh 00:25:12.94\00:25:15.41 whom I think was Thutmosis III 00:25:15.44\00:25:20.92 and say to him... 00:25:20.95\00:25:23.69 And this is the God speaking out of the fire. 00:25:23.72\00:25:26.65 And He says, "Let my people go." 00:25:26.69\00:25:31.23 After that time, 00:25:35.40\00:25:37.20 that was the greatest meeting 00:25:37.23\00:25:40.07 in the history of the world. 00:25:40.10\00:25:44.07 A man who was burnt with the sun, 00:25:44.11\00:25:48.74 a man who'd been out in the desert for 40 years, 00:25:48.78\00:25:52.05 and he stands before Pharaoh and says, 00:25:52.08\00:25:55.92 "Let my people go." 00:25:55.95\00:26:00.99 Now please stay with us. 00:26:01.02\00:26:02.62 We'll be back in just a few moments. 00:26:02.66\00:26:05.66 Time, it takes only a minute to have eternal life. 00:26:18.47\00:26:22.34 How can you get saved in a minute?
