Now some people tell me that

life is great just all the time.

You should never have a bad day.

But Daniel was
having a bad three weeks.

The Bible tells
us he was mourning,

he didn't eat a lot of food,

and the Bible says, it
went on for three weeks.

And the question is,

what was happening
to the prophet of God

that he was having
this dreadful time.

Let me tell you.

The news out of
Jerusalem was bad news.

He was now 90 years of age

and things were
not getting easier.

He was probably suffering
from a bit of arthritis.

But that wasn't the real reason
he was feeling pretty bad.

The news from
his city of Jerusalem

because Daniel was a Jew,

the news for the
Jews could not be worse.

Like turning on the
TV today, turning on CNN

channel on all the time,

it seems to be bad news.

And the text in the Hebrew says,

"It concerned a great war."

And so there was a
tremendous war going on,

and because the war
didn't seem to be going to good

for the Jewish
people offer Daniel,

he was mourning
for three full weeks.

I want to tell you something

which is quite
extraordinary really.

The Bible teaches
there is an unseen world

of supernatural beings.

Have you heard of a dark matter,

dark matter, dark energy?

This is not just speculation.

Scientists know today
that 95% of the universe

we don't have telescopes

because it influences gravity.

the expansion of the universe.

Now God gives to Daniel

a vision of the divine Logos,

This is a similar
picture to what you read

"His head and hair were white

and His eyes
like a flame of fire,

His feet were like fine brass,
as if refined in a furnace,

and His voice as the
sound of many waters,

He had in His
right hand seven stars,

out of His mouth went a
sharp two-edged sword..."

This is symbolic.

beyond this wail of tears

almighty God in all his power.

And what is the message
we can get from this Daniel,

here it is, "Fear not,

don't be afraid
of circumstances,

don't be afraid of the attorney

who's trying to
steal your house.

Don't be afraid of the person
who's trying to do you in.

God is alive,
nothing is too hard for Him.

And Bible prophecy teaches
that there is great battle

going on between good and evil,
00:12:18.27\00:12:20.60
between Christ and Satan,
00:12:20.64\00:12:23.27
between good angels and demons."

And some say, some
theologian have said,

this is the most
remarkable chapter in the Bible

because the veil is drawn aside.

And we can see in
the governance of men

a tremendous
warfare going on between

the powers of light
and the demons of darkness.

Maybe also in your life,

maybe in your home,
every person is involved.

at Daniel 10:10-12,

here comes another
supernatural being.

"Suddenly, a hand touched me,

tremble on my knees

and on the palms of my hands.

Daniel, man greatly beloved,

And then the next verse

Now the first being
that is seen in this vision

is none other than
Christ, the risen Christ.

The Christ who
was Lord of lords,

King of kings,

but now another
person comes upon the scene

and this person is not Christ,

but this person
is sent by Christ.

in the Book of Daniel
is the mighty angel Gabriel

who took the place of Lucifer,
the leader of the demons.

And so Christ eternal Logos

sends Gabriel down to this earth

to explain some
things to the prophet.

He is not Christ, but
he is still a mighty being.

This is Gabriel talking.

"Do not fear Daniel,

There was a
tremendous battle going on

behind the king of Persia

was this demonic being.

what's going on in the affairs

And Gabriel came down, he
said, "I've been fighting him

struggling with him."

There's a power
behind the throne of Persia.

The prince of the kingdom
of Persia is a demonic being,

things go bad in governments.

A demonic being who
work to frustrate God's plans

the Persian nation

to release God's people,

This helps you to understand

mourning for three weeks.

God had appointed this man,

to set the Jewish people free.
