going to be fulfilled

is a bit of a wake up call

the city of the great king.

Wasn't this called the Holy city

and yet the city
was laid desolate,

history tells me
for seventy years.

What happened to Jerusalem?

It is talking about

the Babylonian
destruction of Jerusalem

because God was in a bad mood

The Bible tells me, the
city of the Jewish people,

the chosen people
of God was destroyed

because of their rebellion
against the Word of God.

Now notice Daniel 9:12-17,

"He has confirmed His words,

which He spoke against us

and against our
judges who judged us,

by bringing upon
us a great disaster.

For under the whole
heaven such has never been done

done to Jerusalem.

in the Law of Moses,

or disasters upon His people.

stretched over His people

been in Pearl Harbor,

have invaded California

because we would
have had nothing left

but the aircraft
carriers were at a sea

and they drove back

imperial forces of the Japanese.

God had His hand over America.

Now in 1939,

Great Britain was
not ready for the war.

young man they said,

leaders will always know

that you are designing

God had His hand
over Great Britain.

But why had God removed His hand

from His chosen
people back there in 600 BC?

For at least four
acts of rebellion.

Number one, because
the children of God,

the Jewish people
were guilty of idolatry.

The Bible says,
we shall only worship

the great God of
the Bible Yahweh Elohim.

But the children of
Israel had engaged in idolatry.

sleep, an absentee landlord?

Number two,
because of the desecration

of the holy Sabbath
that we call the Lord's Day.

of God desecrated the Sabbath.

the Sabbath is desecrated.

of God broke the Sabbath,

the Jerusalem was destroyed.

of marriage desecration

unholy sexual practices.

The Bible tells us, Jerusalem
was destroyed idolatry,

Sabbath desecration

and perverted sexual practices.

Of course, we
are different today,

aren't we?

Sin number four, the
oppression of the poor,

Look at Ezekiel

iniquity of your sister Sodom,"

God says to the
Jewish people back there,

"She and her daughter had pride,

and abundance of idleness,

strengthen the hand of the poor

And so the people were
grounded into the dust.
