I said, "Well, if that's
where you want us to go."

because greater

Kiev is the capital of Ukraine,
a nation of 44 million people.

It was once part of
the great Soviet Union.

July 16, 1990 they
got their independence.

I was around when it happened.

But since then there has
been turmoil and revolution.

There has been

a half war with Russia.

In places where I
preach the gospel,

they've been
fighting on the borders

of Russia and Ukraine

and thousands and
thousands have been killed.

Russia took over Crimea,

and of course they had
owned it for hundreds of years,

people there are Russian,

but it brought
international tensions.

world is very familiar
