The topic today is a great topic. 00:00:13.38\00:00:15.64 It's "Visitors from Other Worlds." 00:00:15.68\00:00:19.51 Are there other beings out there somewhere in space? 00:00:22.52\00:00:26.69 We're going to talk today, 00:00:26.72\00:00:28.26 and try to answer some of the biggest questions. 00:00:28.29\00:00:30.16 But we're going to talk about the mysteries of the Universe. 00:00:30.19\00:00:35.46 I have some terrific stuff for you, 00:00:35.50\00:00:38.63 and I loved presenting this material 00:00:38.67\00:00:41.57 to a vast crowd of atheists, sceptics, and unbelievers, 00:00:41.60\00:00:46.17 as I've done in Russia and Ukraine and other places. 00:00:46.21\00:00:49.58 We're going to try to answer, 00:00:49.61\00:00:51.31 and I believe successfully these questions. 00:00:51.35\00:00:54.82 Did the universe have a beginning? 00:00:54.85\00:00:57.42 What about the steady state theory 00:00:57.45\00:00:59.02 that has been believed 00:00:59.05\00:01:00.46 by virtually by all of the scientists 00:01:00.49\00:01:03.06 and to a relatively recently, You know what, 00:01:03.09\00:01:04.99 the steady state theory is, that was held by Einstein 00:01:05.03\00:01:08.80 and that was said 00:01:08.83\00:01:10.17 "The Universe always was there." 00:01:10.20\00:01:13.64 I want you to do this with your fingers. 00:01:13.67\00:01:16.30 Can you do this with your fingers, okay? 00:01:16.34\00:01:20.44 I see some of you folks aren't doing it. 00:01:20.48\00:01:23.24 It's gonna throw me off if your not doing, okay, 00:01:23.28\00:01:25.45 now I feel better, you are all doing it. 00:01:25.48\00:01:29.38 Did you know 00:01:29.42\00:01:30.92 that the remotest star in our universe 00:01:30.95\00:01:34.66 helps to make it possible for you do this, 00:01:34.69\00:01:38.99 and we're gonna talk about that today. 00:01:39.03\00:01:41.53 How big is the universe, is this the only universe? 00:01:41.56\00:01:46.37 And if you believe in God as I do, what is God like, 00:01:46.40\00:01:49.80 and what prophecies predict the return of the king 00:01:49.84\00:01:54.08 and visitors beyond time and space? 00:01:54.11\00:01:56.75 Let's get started, shall we? 00:01:56.78\00:02:01.12 The universe is very, very big. 00:02:01.15\00:02:07.19 We now know that the universe of large 00:02:07.22\00:02:10.93 and medium-sized galaxies, 00:02:10.96\00:02:13.29 consists of 200 billion galaxies, 00:02:13.33\00:02:19.63 and each galaxy is composed 00:02:19.67\00:02:22.07 of around 200 billion suns. 00:02:22.10\00:02:27.54 In the Milky Way system of which we are a tiny little part 00:02:27.58\00:02:30.75 but an important part, 00:02:30.78\00:02:32.28 there are 200 billion suns. 00:02:32.31\00:02:38.42 If you look at this picture here, 00:02:38.45\00:02:40.36 here you have one of the vast galaxies 00:02:40.39\00:02:44.33 and there are, how many? 00:02:44.36\00:02:45.69 200 billion of those in the universe. 00:02:45.73\00:02:51.47 Our planet is just a tiny little dot in the universe. 00:02:51.50\00:02:57.24 These amazing spots here, each of these is a galaxy. 00:02:57.27\00:03:03.04 How did it happen? Where did it come from? 00:03:06.88\00:03:10.62 Besides 200 billion medium and large galaxies 00:03:10.65\00:03:14.72 with an average of 200 billion stars, 00:03:14.76\00:03:19.29 there are 100 times more small galaxies, 00:03:19.33\00:03:25.10 all with billions and billions and billions of suns. 00:03:25.13\00:03:32.07 The number of suns in the universe, 00:03:32.11\00:03:34.44 I don't know if I can say this but it's... 00:03:34.48\00:03:37.21 it's a terrific figure, 00:03:37.25\00:03:39.15 it's 40 with zero and uh-hmm. 00:03:39.18\00:03:45.49 Now I can't say that number, I can't say that number 00:03:45.52\00:03:49.32 but that's the number of suns in the cosmos 00:03:49.36\00:03:54.46 plus billions of dwarfed galaxies 00:03:54.50\00:03:58.03 plus billions of planets plus comets 00:03:58.07\00:04:01.97 and black holes etc. 00:04:02.00\00:04:04.01 What I'm going to tell you now 00:04:04.04\00:04:05.37 is a relatively recent discovery. 00:04:05.41\00:04:08.68 This is almost too hard to believe. 00:04:08.71\00:04:12.71 What we see in the universe 00:04:12.75\00:04:14.62 is only 0.27% of the universe and you say, 00:04:14.65\00:04:20.82 "Well that's possibly because we do not have telescopes 00:04:20.86\00:04:25.26 that are big enough." 00:04:25.29\00:04:26.93 No, no, no, we have telescopes now 00:04:26.96\00:04:29.46 that can peer back to the very beginning of time. 00:04:29.50\00:04:33.67 The reason is this, listen carefully, 00:04:33.70\00:04:37.17 more than 99% of the universe 00:04:37.21\00:04:44.18 is not visible to our eyes. 00:04:44.21\00:04:47.68 It's even all around us, it's in this room, 00:04:47.72\00:04:50.49 it's in this studio. 00:04:50.52\00:04:53.69 More than 99% of the universe is composed of a material 00:04:53.72\00:04:59.39 that scientists now call "Dark Matter." 00:04:59.43\00:05:04.83 This Dark Matter is composed 00:05:04.87\00:05:06.63 of three different types of dark matter, 00:05:06.67\00:05:08.67 there is Ordinary Dark Matter 00:05:08.70\00:05:10.44 there is Exotic Dark Matter and there is Dark Energy. 00:05:10.47\00:05:16.24 And so, when we look at and we see these vast galaxies, 00:05:16.28\00:05:20.98 the billions and billions of great galaxies, 00:05:21.02\00:05:24.75 we are only seeing about 0.25 %, 00:05:24.79\00:05:29.72 because the vast, the vast amount of the universe 00:05:29.76\00:05:34.16 is composed of this mysterious stuff 00:05:34.20\00:05:37.47 that is called "Dark Matter". 00:05:37.50\00:05:40.84 Where did it all come from? 00:05:44.24\00:05:45.57 The atheist says, Richard Dawkins says, 00:05:45.61\00:05:49.04 the entire universe he says this vast universe all of this, 00:05:49.08\00:05:53.21 all of this he says and he says this with a straight face. 00:05:53.25\00:05:57.09 He said this in a debate with the great Christian professor 00:05:57.12\00:06:00.29 from Oxford University, Dr John Lennox, 00:06:00.32\00:06:03.29 he said "We believe it came from nothing," 00:06:03.32\00:06:08.60 he said "We believe that nothing made nothing, 00:06:08.63\00:06:11.83 which made Lennox say, you're a remarkable man of faith." 00:06:11.87\00:06:17.01 Would you please come in your Bible to Genesis 1:1, 00:06:17.04\00:06:22.04 my dear friends and I'm so glad that you're here today, 00:06:22.08\00:06:25.08 in our studio in beautiful Moorpark 00:06:25.11\00:06:27.62 in Southern California. 00:06:27.65\00:06:30.05 These words are the most important words 00:06:30.09\00:06:33.15 that have ever been uttered by a human being. 00:06:33.19\00:06:35.86 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, 00:06:35.89\00:06:41.56 so the Bible teaches 00:06:41.60\00:06:43.67 there was a time when there was nothing, 00:06:43.70\00:06:47.90 and then the Bible makes the extraordinary statement, 00:06:47.94\00:06:50.97 "In the beginning God created 00:06:51.01\00:06:54.14 heavens and the earth." 00:06:54.18\00:06:58.75 Let me talk for a moment about the Big Bang, 00:06:58.78\00:07:02.92 that most or some Christians 00:07:02.95\00:07:05.25 who don't understand astronomy are afraid of. 00:07:05.29\00:07:10.56 There's a remarkable picture of professor Hubble, 00:07:10.59\00:07:13.63 you've heard of Hubble, Hubble telescope, 00:07:13.66\00:07:16.16 and Einstein and they are having a meeting. 00:07:16.20\00:07:18.80 There you have the great professor Einstein, 00:07:18.83\00:07:21.67 here is the great professor Hubble 00:07:21.70\00:07:24.27 and before this meeting, listen to this, 00:07:24.31\00:07:28.14 Einstein, perhaps one of the greatest minds 00:07:28.18\00:07:31.05 that the human race has ever produced. 00:07:31.08\00:07:33.92 He believed in the Steady State theory, 00:07:33.95\00:07:37.85 almost every scientist believed in the Steady State Theory, 00:07:37.89\00:07:41.59 that is, the universe has always, always been there. 00:07:41.62\00:07:46.49 Matter is virtually eternal and then professor Hubble 00:07:46.53\00:07:52.07 showed to the great professor Einstein, 00:07:52.10\00:07:55.37 the Red Shift, 00:07:55.40\00:07:59.87 which you can see with your eyes, 00:07:59.91\00:08:02.34 and it shows that the universe in which we live 00:08:02.38\00:08:05.65 is exploding out at almost the speed of light, 00:08:05.68\00:08:10.95 and it shows that if, if it is moving out like this, 00:08:10.99\00:08:14.46 then it came 00:08:14.49\00:08:17.93 from virtually something smaller than a proton 00:08:17.96\00:08:22.86 with inconceivable energy. 00:08:22.90\00:08:26.23 And scientists say that this must be... 00:08:26.27\00:08:29.90 they were nonplussed, 00:08:29.94\00:08:32.44 they were staggering for words they said 00:08:32.47\00:08:34.68 "We will call it The Big Bang." 00:08:34.71\00:08:39.45 Virtually and it was, virtually all scientists now believe 00:08:39.48\00:08:42.78 that the universe has a beginning. 00:08:42.82\00:08:44.89 Now some of my dear Christian friends have a problem 00:08:44.92\00:08:49.19 with the concept of The Big Bang, 00:08:49.22\00:08:52.93 but they don't realize that this discovery 00:08:52.96\00:08:55.43 that was pointed out by Professor Hubble 00:08:55.46\00:08:58.00 to Professor Einstein is one of the greatest proofs 00:08:58.03\00:09:02.40 that this old book is absolutely true, 00:09:02.44\00:09:07.28 because it said "In the beginning 00:09:07.31\00:09:11.81 God created the heavens and the earth." 00:09:11.85\00:09:13.52 Do you know this there was a time when there was no time, 00:09:13.55\00:09:20.36 Mm-hmm, there was no matter and there was no space 00:09:20.39\00:09:24.69 and all in a tiny microsecond 00:09:24.73\00:09:29.96 they came this tremendous explosion 00:09:30.00\00:09:34.00 and in the beginning, 00:09:34.04\00:09:36.81 God created heavens and the earth. 00:09:36.84\00:09:42.88 Listen to this, some of said to me 00:09:42.91\00:09:47.98 "Well, if you believe in this point of time 00:09:48.02\00:09:52.69 and if you can measure it 00:09:52.72\00:09:54.06 as many as all the great scientists do 00:09:54.09\00:09:57.93 then you're forced to believe in evolution my friend." 00:09:57.96\00:10:04.07 Nothing is further than this idea from the truth, 00:10:04.10\00:10:11.04 the truth of a beginning at a relatedly, 00:10:11.07\00:10:15.91 I say relatively, in a recent time 00:10:15.94\00:10:19.05 is the greatest argument against evolution. 00:10:19.08\00:10:23.18 Now let me tell you why. 00:10:23.22\00:10:25.02 Let us think of a single cell. 00:10:25.05\00:10:29.62 Did you know that in your body, 00:10:29.66\00:10:31.36 you have trillions and trillions of cells? 00:10:31.39\00:10:35.26 Did you know that each cell, 00:10:35.30\00:10:38.77 each cell is more complex 00:10:38.80\00:10:40.50 than the city of the Los Angeles, 00:10:40.54\00:10:42.10 the chance of a cell, 00:10:42.14\00:10:43.91 this has been worked out by scientists mathematically. 00:10:43.94\00:10:46.84 The chance that a cell could somehow 00:10:46.88\00:10:49.81 spontaneously generate is 10 with 40000 zeros after it. 00:10:49.84\00:10:56.62 The total number of atoms in the universe is 10 with 80. 00:10:56.65\00:11:01.92 I wanna look you in the eye, I wanna say to the audience, 00:11:06.23\00:11:08.86 I wanna say to you today, the chance, 00:11:08.90\00:11:11.27 the idea that life can originate by itself 00:11:11.30\00:11:15.87 spontaneously is far-fetched ridiculous. 00:11:15.90\00:11:21.68 10 to 40,000, 00:11:21.71\00:11:25.05 where as in the whole of the universe, 00:11:25.08\00:11:26.78 you've only got that number of atoms. 00:11:26.82\00:11:32.55 It is beyond reason, it is a crazy idea 00:11:32.59\00:11:38.09 remember the saying, I hope I got it right, 00:11:38.13\00:11:42.26 if it walks like a duck, if it looks like a duck, 00:11:42.30\00:11:47.57 if it quacks like a duck, maybe, maybe my friend, 00:11:47.60\00:11:52.31 maybe it is a duck, you say, you see, 00:11:52.34\00:11:55.51 you know what we're saying. 00:11:55.54\00:11:57.88 Now listen to this, I wanna talk to you now 00:11:57.91\00:12:00.22 but something you're not gonna hear probably, 00:12:00.25\00:12:02.75 it any of a sort of meeting like this. 00:12:02.78\00:12:07.66 I don't even expect you to believe it, 00:12:07.69\00:12:11.23 but it is true. 00:12:11.26\00:12:13.29 It is absolutely scientist ahh, scientific, every time, 00:12:13.33\00:12:17.37 a great astronomer explains this to me and I said to him 00:12:17.40\00:12:23.04 "Do you believe, do you really believe this?" 00:12:23.07\00:12:25.17 He said "Well, every educated person does." 00:12:25.21\00:12:31.58 Alright, the fine tuning of the universe, 00:12:31.61\00:12:37.09 when the point of creation occurred, 00:12:37.12\00:12:40.62 four forces of nature came into being 00:12:40.66\00:12:43.59 that had not existed before, 00:12:43.63\00:12:45.66 what scientist call "The Big Bang." 00:12:45.69\00:12:47.66 How may forces? 00:12:47.70\00:12:49.16 Four let me tell you about them. 00:12:49.20\00:12:50.83 Number one is gravity, number two is electromagnetism, 00:12:50.87\00:12:57.54 number three, you can look this up in any scientific book, 00:12:57.57\00:13:00.41 the strong nuclear force, and the weak nuclear force. 00:13:00.44\00:13:04.28 These forces had not existed before the point of creation 00:13:04.31\00:13:09.25 that is described in Genesis 1:1, 00:13:09.28\00:13:12.42 have I lost you, you're still with me? 00:13:12.45\00:13:16.09 Listen to this, these four forces gravity, 00:13:16.12\00:13:20.70 electromagnetism, the strong nuclear force, 00:13:20.73\00:13:22.76 the weak nuclear force, 00:13:22.80\00:13:24.13 they didn't exist before the moment 00:13:24.17\00:13:27.30 that is called "The Big Bang" by scientists. 00:13:27.34\00:13:30.74 They came into being in a microsecond 00:13:30.77\00:13:33.04 after this tremendous explosion. 00:13:33.07\00:13:35.64 Listen to this, if they had been out of sink, 00:13:35.68\00:13:41.55 you know what I mean, 00:13:41.58\00:13:42.92 if they had been out of balance, 00:13:42.95\00:13:47.99 by one quadrillionth, that's one quadrillionth, 00:13:48.02\00:13:53.29 of one quadrillionth, of one quadrillionth, 00:13:53.33\00:13:56.00 of one quadrillionth, 00:13:56.03\00:13:57.40 of one quadrillionth, of one quadrillionth, 00:13:57.43\00:14:03.07 they wouldn't be no universe. 00:14:03.10\00:14:04.67 The universe has a fine tuning 00:14:12.18\00:14:16.28 such as human beings on this planet 00:14:16.32\00:14:19.95 cannot conceive or realize or replicate. 00:14:19.99\00:14:26.90 Dawkins said, 00:14:26.93\00:14:28.76 when was talking to the great professor John Lennox, 00:14:28.80\00:14:32.30 he says, "It looks or so, 00:14:32.33\00:14:35.44 it were intelligently designed." 00:14:35.47\00:14:39.04 Hmm, he said "But it's not, 00:14:39.07\00:14:41.64 it's not because there's no God," 00:14:41.68\00:14:44.68 but he said "It looks as though it were." 00:14:44.71\00:14:47.92 Now remember, if it looks like a duck, 00:14:47.95\00:14:53.56 walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, 00:14:53.59\00:14:56.39 if it swims like a duck 00:14:56.42\00:14:58.99 and the odds are it is a duck, you know. 00:14:59.03\00:15:03.23 Okay, that's the fine-tuning of those four forces. 00:15:03.26\00:15:06.13 The second one, I call "The old Gravity meter." 00:15:06.17\00:15:11.17 When I was a boy growing up in Brisbane, Australia, 00:15:11.21\00:15:15.74 We were not very wealthy, it was... 00:15:15.78\00:15:17.98 my parents had come out of the great depression, 00:15:18.01\00:15:20.62 most young people never even heard of that. 00:15:20.65\00:15:23.32 So we didn't have a lot of, you know, 00:15:23.35\00:15:25.92 we didn't have televisions in those days, nobody did, 00:15:25.95\00:15:28.92 but we had radios. 00:15:28.96\00:15:30.99 And we have a little radio that was called, 00:15:31.03\00:15:33.09 it was the joy of our home, it was called a "PeterPan" 00:15:33.13\00:15:38.00 and I used to listen to all the serials 00:15:38.03\00:15:40.14 at night-time. 00:15:40.17\00:15:41.60 The search for the golden boomerang and... 00:15:41.64\00:15:45.61 you folks never heard of this stuff. 00:15:45.64\00:15:47.48 Where have you been? 00:15:47.51\00:15:49.74 But it had a dial, you know what a radio dial is? 00:15:49.78\00:15:54.02 You turn it and it's got a line there 00:15:54.05\00:15:58.19 and it's got all the stations, 00:15:58.22\00:16:00.12 4BC and all these stations in Brisbane. 00:16:00.16\00:16:03.69 I would dial in so I could listen to my serials, 00:16:03.73\00:16:07.16 when I should have been doing my homework. 00:16:07.20\00:16:09.26 Now, what we gonna do now, 00:16:09.30\00:16:11.17 we're gonna have the gravity meter, 00:16:11.20\00:16:13.67 the gravity dial. 00:16:13.70\00:16:15.80 What I'm telling you is true. 00:16:15.84\00:16:18.61 You might say "I just don't believe this stuff." 00:16:18.64\00:16:21.54 What I'm telling you is scientifically true. 00:16:21.58\00:16:23.71 I want you to think of a line 00:16:23.75\00:16:26.88 and It's 100 billion miles away, 00:16:26.92\00:16:29.88 100 billion miles away like this 00:16:29.92\00:16:31.45 in fact it's trillions of miles across. 00:16:31.49\00:16:35.42 Think conceivable to our little finite minds 00:16:35.46\00:16:38.99 and you have the capacity to tune-in gravity. 00:16:39.03\00:16:44.30 You can dial it in. 00:16:44.33\00:16:46.63 Okay, billion miles this way, billion miles this way, 00:16:46.67\00:16:52.07 it's calibrated in inches. 00:16:52.11\00:16:53.98 This controls the gravity of the universe. 00:16:54.01\00:16:59.21 It sets on zero, if you go one inch to the left, 00:16:59.25\00:17:03.92 the world blows up and the universe blows up. 00:17:03.95\00:17:07.26 If you go one inch to the right, 00:17:07.29\00:17:09.12 the universe explodes or implodes, 00:17:09.16\00:17:14.46 nothing left. 00:17:14.50\00:17:17.10 We are sitting on a knife-edge. 00:17:17.13\00:17:22.17 That's why Dawkins, the world's greatest atheist said, 00:17:22.20\00:17:27.28 "It looks as though it were 00:17:27.31\00:17:29.91 intelligently designed." 00:17:29.94\00:17:34.95 Remember the dark. 00:17:34.98\00:17:36.72 Now let me talk to you about Dark Matter. 00:17:36.75\00:17:40.19 The number three in this fine-tuning, 00:17:40.22\00:17:41.96 I want to talk to you about Dark Matter. 00:17:41.99\00:17:45.09 Dark energy that we can't see, 00:17:45.13\00:17:48.73 we know it is there because we can measure it. 00:17:48.76\00:17:53.20 We can feel the force of the dark energy. 00:17:53.23\00:17:56.30 There is dark energy all around us we can't see it. 00:17:56.34\00:18:01.28 More than 99% of the universe not made of stars or planets, 00:18:01.31\00:18:05.88 things that we can see, it is made of this dark energy. 00:18:05.91\00:18:10.52 The dark energy 00:18:10.55\00:18:12.75 drives the expansion of the universe. 00:18:12.79\00:18:19.29 The universe is exploding out like this. 00:18:19.33\00:18:22.33 You say, "Well, I never heard this in Church," well, 00:18:22.36\00:18:25.27 we don't talk about this stuff in church, do we? 00:18:25.30\00:18:29.80 But the universe is expanding out like this, 00:18:29.84\00:18:32.77 you can actually see it going out. 00:18:32.81\00:18:37.98 If the universe goes too fast, 00:18:38.01\00:18:44.85 there will be an unheard of catastrophe. 00:18:44.89\00:18:48.82 Bu if it goes too slow, 00:18:48.86\00:18:51.93 there will be unheard of catastrophe also. 00:18:51.96\00:18:54.33 Now listen to this, listen to this, 00:18:54.36\00:18:59.33 the dark energy that drives the universe 00:18:59.37\00:19:02.00 is fine-tuned to one part to 10 to 120. 00:19:02.04\00:19:08.44 The number of atoms in the universe 00:19:08.48\00:19:10.58 is 10 to 80. 00:19:10.61\00:19:15.88 This means, 00:19:15.92\00:19:20.16 that someone a mighty mind 00:19:20.19\00:19:25.89 is behind it all. 00:19:25.93\00:19:29.60 I could not be an atheist, 00:19:29.63\00:19:33.34 I could not be an honest atheist 00:19:33.37\00:19:36.91 and believe that these are the odds, 00:19:36.94\00:19:43.28 considering the driving force 00:19:43.31\00:19:45.65 behind the expansions of the universe. 00:19:45.68\00:19:49.75 Look at that figure, 00:19:49.78\00:19:51.92 remember the dark but remember something else. 00:19:51.95\00:19:55.32 The chance of this happening by itself 00:19:55.36\00:19:59.06 is like a man who is blind, 00:19:59.09\00:20:03.16 he is deaf and he is wearing gloves, 00:20:03.20\00:20:08.40 this is true. 00:20:08.44\00:20:12.47 This is the sand on one of our beaches, 00:20:12.51\00:20:14.28 but I'm not talking about one of our beaches, 00:20:14.31\00:20:16.24 I'm talking about sand in all the world, 00:20:16.28\00:20:20.22 and the sand on the Moon, in Mars, 00:20:20.25\00:20:24.39 and the 200 billion galaxies. 00:20:24.42\00:20:28.96 I'm talking about 00:20:28.99\00:20:30.33 that vast incomprehensible amount of sand. 00:20:30.36\00:20:33.93 And somebody has taken one grain of sand 00:20:38.67\00:20:41.34 and marked it. 00:20:41.37\00:20:46.98 One grain of sand and marked it and you have, 00:20:47.01\00:20:52.01 you're blind, you're wearing gloves, 00:20:52.05\00:20:55.88 you stumble, and you're told, 00:20:55.92\00:21:00.46 "Go and find the marked piece of sand." 00:21:00.49\00:21:06.73 They are the same odds. 00:21:06.76\00:21:10.90 So I want to say to the people watching the telecast, 00:21:10.93\00:21:13.80 I don't believe in God 00:21:13.84\00:21:15.17 because I was brought up to believe in God. 00:21:15.20\00:21:17.31 I don't believe in God because I have just got faith. 00:21:17.34\00:21:20.98 I don't have a lot of sympathy, 00:21:21.01\00:21:23.45 intellectually for a person that says, 00:21:23.48\00:21:24.95 "Oh, I just have faith, I believe, well, you know, 00:21:24.98\00:21:28.85 Dawkins has got faith too, 00:21:28.88\00:21:30.25 he has got faith in these silly ideas. 00:21:30.29\00:21:32.82 But what I want you to know is this, 00:21:32.85\00:21:36.12 that there is overwhelming evidence 00:21:36.16\00:21:38.66 why a thinking person can believe 00:21:38.69\00:21:41.36 that there is a creator who made it all. 00:21:41.40\00:21:46.50 Now the Bible teaches did you know this, 00:21:46.53\00:21:49.20 that the universe had a beginning 00:21:49.24\00:21:50.91 and the universe will have an ending. 00:21:50.94\00:21:53.61 Oh, you say "No the universe can't have an ending," 00:21:53.64\00:21:55.51 oh, I'm sorry the Bible teaches, 00:21:55.54\00:21:56.88 "The universe had a beginning 00:21:56.91\00:21:58.25 and the universe is going to have an ending." 00:21:58.28\00:22:00.12 I'm going to come in the Bible over here to 2nd Peter 3:10. 00:22:00.15\00:22:03.79 I want you to take the Bible 00:22:03.82\00:22:05.15 and come over here to 2nd Peter 3:10. 00:22:05.19\00:22:09.09 2nd Peter 3:10 says, 00:22:09.12\00:22:14.70 "But the day of the Lord will come 00:22:14.73\00:22:16.70 as a thief in the night, 00:22:16.73\00:22:19.20 in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, 00:22:19.23\00:22:22.54 and the elements will melt with fervent heat, 00:22:22.57\00:22:25.61 both the earth and the works that are in it 00:22:25.64\00:22:28.18 will be burned up." 00:22:28.21\00:22:30.95 Then if we count to 3:12, 00:22:30.98\00:22:33.21 "Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, 00:22:33.25\00:22:35.65 because of which the heavens will be dissolved, 00:22:35.68\00:22:38.55 being on fire, 00:22:38.59\00:22:39.92 and the elements will melt with fervent heat. 00:22:39.95\00:22:43.09 Nevertheless, we according to his promise, 00:22:43.12\00:22:46.46 look for new heavens and a new earth 00:22:46.49\00:22:49.73 in which righteousness dwells." 00:22:49.76\00:22:54.50 So if I'm reading my Bible with an open mind, 00:22:54.54\00:22:58.07 it seems to me to teach 00:22:58.11\00:22:59.87 that the whole universe is going to be replaced. 00:22:59.91\00:23:05.85 And I'm going to tell you why it has to be? 00:23:05.88\00:23:10.62 Every scientist in the world, Christian, Atheist, 00:23:10.65\00:23:14.12 Buddhist, Muslim, believes that we believe, 00:23:14.16\00:23:18.19 we live in an expanding universe, 00:23:18.23\00:23:22.33 blasting out at almost the speed of light. 00:23:22.36\00:23:27.14 The day will come when the Galaxies 00:23:27.17\00:23:30.37 and the Suns and the Moons and the stars, 00:23:30.41\00:23:33.07 will be so far apart that they will blink out. 00:23:33.11\00:23:36.78 But before this happens God is going to step in 00:23:36.81\00:23:41.82 and create a new heaven and a new earth. 00:23:41.85\00:23:47.66 You see, 00:23:47.69\00:23:49.39 we think that God some how is a part of our universe 00:23:49.42\00:23:53.46 in this 200 billion galaxies, plus the other ones. 00:23:53.50\00:23:57.43 But God existed before and outside of our universe. 00:23:57.47\00:24:02.57 God was not in time, The Bible says, 00:24:02.60\00:24:05.51 "He made it and so he was outside of this." 00:24:05.54\00:24:09.68 Now do this again. 00:24:09.71\00:24:12.95 Got to tell you something, pretty hard to believe, 00:24:12.98\00:24:14.85 I may just discover this. 00:24:14.88\00:24:16.89 I've been doing a lot of research on this 00:24:16.92\00:24:18.25 for 20 years. 00:24:18.29\00:24:21.59 What you're doing here is that, you are overcoming Inertia. 00:24:21.62\00:24:26.39 Inertia is the tendency of an object to remain at rest 00:24:26.43\00:24:32.87 and once it's moving 00:24:32.90\00:24:34.24 to keep going in the same speed. 00:24:34.27\00:24:36.64 If Inertia was different, you couldn't do this. 00:24:36.67\00:24:43.45 You perhaps would need muscles, 00:24:45.21\00:24:47.15 huge muscles to do it and once you started doing it, 00:24:47.18\00:24:50.25 you couldn't stop your fingers. 00:24:50.29\00:24:52.42 It would mean that you could go to a boulder, 00:24:52.45\00:24:56.36 say there's a huge boulder 00:24:56.39\00:24:58.29 and you could puff on the boulder 00:24:58.33\00:25:00.93 and it would just blow away. 00:25:00.96\00:25:03.26 The world would be tremendously chaotic, 00:25:03.30\00:25:06.74 if we did not have this inertia worked out properly. 00:25:06.77\00:25:12.41 I'm gonna read you something, 00:25:12.44\00:25:14.84 "Physicists now propose that, "The inertia of forces 00:25:14.88\00:25:19.91 experienced by objects on earth, are generated 00:25:19.95\00:25:26.39 by the total combined gravitational attraction 00:25:26.42\00:25:29.69 of all matter in the Cosmos, 00:25:29.72\00:25:32.03 including the most distant stars and galaxies." 00:25:32.06\00:25:36.67 You couldn't do this, without the help of a galaxy 00:25:36.70\00:25:43.47 which is at trillion miles away. 00:25:43.51\00:25:48.11 And your hand 00:25:48.14\00:25:49.74 was made to do it. 00:25:49.78\00:25:55.48 This is a dime. 00:25:55.52\00:25:59.32 I'm gonna tell you about the dime and God. 00:25:59.35\00:26:03.39 Go to take a break, We'll be back, 00:26:03.43\00:26:07.10 we're talk about the dime and God, 00:26:07.13\00:26:11.00 amazing, amazing discoveries. 00:26:11.03\00:26:15.67 Hello friends, I'm John Carter, in Russia. 00:26:23.91\00:26:27.45 This is my 43rd visit to this land 00:26:27.48\00:26:31.29 and I come not for this weather, 00:26:31.32\00:26:34.46 but to preach the Gospel of Christ. 00:26:34.49\00:26:37.66 The need here is tremendous. 00:26:37.69\00:26:40.23 The first big campaign was in the year 1991, 00:26:40.26\00:26:44.47 in the great city of Moscow, 00:26:44.50\00:26:46.63 followed by a mighty campaign here in 1992 00:26:46.67\00:26:52.74 in Nizhny Novgorod, 00:26:52.77\00:26:55.08 when in the Volga river 2,530 souls 00:26:55.11\00:27:01.42 were Baptized into Jesus Christ. 00:27:01.45\00:27:05.52 The need here has not lessened. 00:27:05.55\00:27:08.36 The people are crying out for God. 00:27:08.39\00:27:11.69 I'm asking you today, in the name of Jesus, 00:27:11.73\00:27:16.03 please support us 00:27:16.06\00:27:17.93 in the preaching of the Gospel of Christ 00:27:17.97\00:27:21.07 to the Russian people. 00:27:21.10\00:27:23.27 Please write to me John Carter, 00:27:23.30\00:27:26.24 P.O.Box 1900 Thousand Oaks, CA 91358.
