Don't put it off. 00:02:13.66\00:02:16.56 Write to me, John Carter, Post Office Box 1900, 00:02:16.60\00:02:21.27 Thousand Oaks, California, 91358. 00:02:21.30\00:02:25.14 In Australia, write to me at Terrigal, New South Wales. 00:02:25.17\00:02:30.41 Be part of the Second Reformation, 00:02:30.45\00:02:34.15 join us and see the miracles of God. 00:02:34.18\00:02:38.85 Amen. 00:02:38.89\00:02:41.96 Why is the Muslim religion growing so fast? 00:02:49.73\00:02:52.97 And should Americans ban the building of mosques? 00:02:53.00\00:02:56.47 If you start banning the building of mosques, 00:02:56.50\00:03:00.31 what are you gonna do next? 00:03:00.34\00:03:01.68 Are you going to ban the building 00:03:01.71\00:03:03.28 of synagogues and churches? 00:03:03.31\00:03:07.05 Here, in the United states of America, 00:03:07.08\00:03:08.72 and in Australia, and in Britain, 00:03:08.75\00:03:11.59 and in the best parts of the world 00:03:11.62\00:03:14.26 people believe in religious freedom. 00:03:14.29\00:03:16.89 We believe we have the right to worship God 00:03:16.93\00:03:19.73 or not to worship God as our consciences tell us. 00:03:19.76\00:03:25.17 Then why is the Muslim faith growing so fast? 00:03:25.20\00:03:29.74 It's because many of them take their religion seriously. 00:03:29.77\00:03:33.88 In the western world, Christianity is marching, 00:03:33.91\00:03:38.71 but marching backwards. 00:03:38.75\00:03:40.65 And the Muslims are going ahead. 00:03:40.68\00:03:44.52 I went to Sydney recently, and when I got off the plane 00:03:44.55\00:03:48.46 and went out to get a taxi, the taxi driver 00:03:48.49\00:03:51.79 was so courteous and so nice to me. 00:03:51.83\00:03:54.70 And then he started to talk to me about the Bible, 00:03:54.73\00:03:57.27 and then he started to talk to me, 00:03:57.30\00:03:59.03 "Would you believe it, about the Quran?" 00:03:59.07\00:04:02.04 He was a Muslim. 00:04:02.07\00:04:03.87 And before I left his taxi, he gave me some DVDs. 00:04:03.91\00:04:08.48 He said, "I know you're a Christian. 00:04:08.51\00:04:10.75 But one day, I want to see you in heaven. 00:04:10.78\00:04:14.22 And we Muslims want to get to heaven too. 00:04:14.25\00:04:17.35 He was an evangelist for the Muslims. 00:04:17.39\00:04:20.99 Then, when I was in Sydney, walking around that 00:04:21.02\00:04:23.36 magnificent city, I didn't see 00:04:23.39\00:04:26.19 too much of a presence of the Christian church. 00:04:26.23\00:04:29.83 Many of the churches seem to have closed down. 00:04:29.86\00:04:32.80 But the Muslims are going ahead because they've got a mission. 00:04:32.83\00:04:37.21 Now, Jesus told us that we've got a mission too. 00:04:37.24\00:04:41.64 Jesus said, "Go into all the world 00:04:41.68\00:04:44.48 and preach the gospel." 00:04:44.51\00:04:46.65 That is why the Carter Report believes in evangelism. 00:04:46.68\00:04:53.05 So why do you believe that the Bible is true? 00:04:53.09\00:04:56.79 I believe that the Bible is true 00:04:56.83\00:05:00.06 not because of blind faith. 00:05:00.10\00:05:02.73 I don't believe in having blind faith. 00:05:02.76\00:05:06.17 I don't believe in having faith in faith. 00:05:06.20\00:05:11.14 There are many reasons why I believe that this book, 00:05:11.17\00:05:14.98 the Bible, the book of books is true. 00:05:15.01\00:05:19.18 It is a book of prophecy. 00:05:19.21\00:05:22.15 I have studied the prophecies for about 50 years. 00:05:22.18\00:05:26.55 I've studied the prophecy of Daniel 2. 00:05:26.59\00:05:29.96 In just a few words, it foretold the history 00:05:29.99\00:05:34.23 of the human race. 00:05:34.26\00:05:35.76 Try reading it. 00:05:35.80\00:05:37.20 Daniel 7, the history of the world 00:05:37.23\00:05:39.90 and the rise of the antichrist. 00:05:39.93\00:05:42.54 Prophecy proves that the Bible is true. 00:05:42.57\00:05:47.28 Daniel Chapter 9 tells about the coming of the Messiah. 00:05:47.31\00:05:51.41 It predicted the very, very year 00:05:51.45\00:05:55.88 when the Messiah would appear in the world. 00:05:55.92\00:05:58.75 It say's the Messiah would come so many years 00:05:58.79\00:06:02.09 after a certain decree by a Persian king. 00:06:02.12\00:06:05.06 The Messiah came in 27AD, that's when Jesus was baptized. 00:06:05.09\00:06:12.17 And Jesus died about three years after 27AD, 00:06:12.20\00:06:17.01 when he was crucified on the cross. 00:06:17.04\00:06:20.11 All of these great events were foretold 00:06:20.14\00:06:23.38 through the prophecies of the Bible. 00:06:23.41\00:06:26.88 Then there is another tremendous proof, 00:06:26.92\00:06:29.05 and that is the person of Jesus Christ. 00:06:29.08\00:06:32.45 There is no person like him. 00:06:32.49\00:06:34.72 The Bible talks about God becoming a man, 00:06:34.76\00:06:38.49 a Jewish man, dying for our sins 00:06:38.53\00:06:42.23 on the cross, and being raised from the dead. 00:06:42.26\00:06:46.20 This is beyond human comprehension. 00:06:46.23\00:06:49.70 The Bible is a divinely inspired book. 00:06:49.74\00:06:54.64 And there is another reason. 00:06:54.68\00:06:57.31 The Bible has the ability to change human lives. 00:06:57.35\00:07:01.82 I've seen it around the world. 00:07:01.85\00:07:04.42 The best countries in the world 00:07:04.45\00:07:06.22 are those countries that believe in the Bible. 00:07:06.25\00:07:10.46 Wherever the Bible goes, it brings freedom, 00:07:10.49\00:07:14.03 peace, prosperity, and good health. 00:07:14.06\00:07:19.13 Jesus said, "It is written, 00:07:19.17\00:07:22.04 'Man shall not live by bread alone, 00:07:22.07\00:07:25.34 but by every word 00:07:25.37\00:07:27.71 that precedes out of the mouth of God.'" 00:07:27.74\00:07:30.95 This is the Word of God. 00:07:30.98\00:07:34.78 Are you not a bigot because you oppose 00:07:34.82\00:07:37.42 same sex marriage? 00:07:37.45\00:07:39.45 Well, I guess, some people would say, 00:07:39.49\00:07:41.19 I'm a bigot because I'm a Christian. 00:07:41.22\00:07:44.26 Some people would say, I'm a bigot 00:07:44.29\00:07:46.53 because I believe in this book, the Bible. 00:07:46.56\00:07:50.63 Other people would say, I'm a bigot 00:07:50.67\00:07:53.17 because I believe in freedom of speech 00:07:53.20\00:07:56.81 and freedom of religion. 00:07:56.84\00:08:00.28 I believe that every person has the right to be 00:08:00.31\00:08:04.38 what he wants to be, as long as it doesn't hurt me of course, 00:08:04.41\00:08:09.38 because your freedom ends 00:08:09.42\00:08:11.55 where the end of my nose begins. 00:08:11.59\00:08:16.79 I believe people, if a person wants to be 00:08:16.83\00:08:18.96 a homosexual, that's his right. 00:08:18.99\00:08:22.30 But I've got the right to be what I believe I ought to be. 00:08:22.33\00:08:27.17 I've got the right to believe the Bible. 00:08:27.20\00:08:30.67 You see, I believe in freedom of speech. 00:08:30.71\00:08:34.01 Freedom of speech is not bigotry. 00:08:34.04\00:08:38.88 And if a person has a problem with freedom of speech, 00:08:38.91\00:08:43.15 may be it's because he's a bigot. 00:08:43.18\00:08:47.22 I want to read you something that Jesus said. 00:08:47.26\00:08:50.13 And I think, if my memory is working today, 00:08:50.16\00:08:53.96 I'm going to come in the Bible, 00:08:54.00\00:08:55.76 in Matthew Chapter 19. 00:08:55.80\00:09:02.80 These are the words of Jesus. And Jesus was not a bigot. 00:09:02.84\00:09:08.08 Jesus said, "'Haven't you read,' 00:09:08.11\00:09:10.61 he replied, 'that at the beginning 00:09:10.65\00:09:13.21 the Creator made them male and female, 00:09:13.25\00:09:17.19 and said, For this reason a man will leave his father 00:09:17.22\00:09:22.42 and his mother and be united to his wife...'" 00:09:22.46\00:09:25.99 You see, if I'm going to be called a bigot 00:09:26.03\00:09:30.03 because I believe in Jesus, then so be it. 00:09:30.07\00:09:34.27 The Bible teaches that a marriage 00:09:34.30\00:09:37.07 is between a man and a woman. 00:09:37.11\00:09:42.34 You've got the right to believe 00:09:42.38\00:09:44.58 in homosexual practices, if you so choose. 00:09:44.61\00:09:49.48 That is your right. 00:09:49.52\00:09:51.22 I'm not going to call you a bigot. 00:09:51.25\00:09:53.05 Don't call me a bigot because I'm a Christian, 00:09:53.09\00:09:58.23 and I believe in the Bible, 00:09:58.26\00:10:00.56 and I believe in freedom of speech. 00:10:00.60\00:10:06.74 Atheism in America 00:10:06.77\00:10:08.10 is one of the fastest growing religions. 00:10:08.14\00:10:10.17 Why is this so? Is atheism even scientific? 00:10:10.21\00:10:14.54 Atheism is not scientific. 00:10:14.58\00:10:17.71 You want some Plain Talk, here it is. 00:10:17.75\00:10:20.98 If you're going to be an honest atheist, 00:10:21.02\00:10:22.98 you got to say, "I've been to every spot 00:10:23.02\00:10:25.75 in the universe 00:10:25.79\00:10:27.22 and I discovered that God wasn't there. 00:10:27.26\00:10:29.46 An atheist says, "There is no God." 00:10:29.49\00:10:33.06 How on earth would he know that there is no God, 00:10:33.09\00:10:37.83 if he hasn't gone to every place 00:10:37.87\00:10:40.00 and didn't discover that God did not exist? 00:10:40.04\00:10:42.20 Therefore, it is not scientific. 00:10:42.24\00:10:45.67 But often atheism is a reaction against bad religion. 00:10:45.71\00:10:52.05 Are you listening to me? I've been to Russia 42 times. 00:10:52.08\00:10:56.38 I've seen what atheism did to the Russian soul. 00:10:56.42\00:11:00.66 Atheism destroyed the Russian people 00:11:00.69\00:11:03.56 and put to death millions and millions of people. 00:11:03.59\00:11:07.83 The religion in Russia, back in the days of czars 00:11:07.86\00:11:11.47 was a dreadful thing. 00:11:11.50\00:11:13.84 The priest persecuted the people. 00:11:13.87\00:11:16.40 And the problem is that the Russians 00:11:16.44\00:11:18.91 through the baby out with the bath water. 00:11:18.94\00:11:24.45 They got rid of God because of the bad religion. 00:11:24.48\00:11:29.85 What happened? 00:11:29.88\00:11:31.22 The deaths of millions and millions 00:11:31.25\00:11:34.89 of innocent people. 00:11:34.92\00:11:37.69 Why is it growing so fast in America? 00:11:37.73\00:11:40.06 Well, they say there is lot of bad religion over here, 00:11:40.10\00:11:43.87 but that's not a good reason to give up on God. 00:11:43.90\00:11:48.40 Now, there is another reason, and this is pretty penetrating, 00:11:48.44\00:11:52.57 what I'm going to say. 00:11:52.61\00:11:53.94 I don't say it 00:11:53.98\00:11:55.31 because I'm trying to offend you. 00:11:55.34\00:11:56.78 I'm just trying to give you some Plain Talk. 00:11:56.81\00:12:00.08 Huxley said, he was Darwin's great friend, 00:12:00.12\00:12:04.12 he said, "Now that I believe in atheism, 00:12:04.15\00:12:08.42 I'm free to do anything I want to do, 00:12:08.46\00:12:13.60 especially with women. 00:12:13.63\00:12:17.37 Atheism does away with moral restrains. 00:12:17.40\00:12:23.77 That's Plain Talk. It's true. 00:12:23.81\00:12:27.61 Many sociologists believe 00:12:27.64\00:12:29.41 that we are seeing a collapse of family 00:12:29.44\00:12:31.61 and society in many American cities 00:12:31.65\00:12:34.35 such as Baltimore. 00:12:34.38\00:12:36.12 What can be done to stop the destruction 00:12:36.15\00:12:38.12 of American society? 00:12:38.15\00:12:40.79 Get back to God, get back to the Bible, 00:12:40.82\00:12:43.73 and get back to the family. 00:12:43.76\00:12:46.76 When you don't have mums and dads bringing up kids, 00:12:46.80\00:12:50.97 when the fathers walk out on the family, 00:12:51.00\00:12:53.23 when the mothers walk out on the family, 00:12:53.27\00:12:56.24 you've only got hell that's going to follow. 00:12:56.27\00:12:59.34 What we're seeing in some of the American cities 00:12:59.37\00:13:01.88 including Baltimore is the collapse of the home 00:13:01.91\00:13:06.95 because of the collapse of faith in God. 00:13:06.98\00:13:12.12 The best societies in this world, my friend, 00:13:12.15\00:13:15.96 are those societies that truly believe in God 00:13:15.99\00:13:19.39 and they practice the teachings of Jesus Christ. 00:13:19.43\00:13:23.83 And they have good families. 00:13:23.87\00:13:26.77 The Catholics are absolutely correct 00:13:26.80\00:13:29.07 when they say, the family 00:13:29.10\00:13:31.81 that prays together 00:13:31.84\00:13:33.88 stays together. 00:13:33.91\00:13:41.48 Hi, I'm John Carter. 00:13:41.52\00:13:43.65 My wife, Beverley and I 00:13:43.69\00:13:45.02 were watching television the other night, 00:13:45.05\00:13:46.39 watching the news, American News. 00:13:46.42\00:13:49.06 They told us that the church in North America 00:13:49.09\00:13:51.36 is actually shrinking. 00:13:51.39\00:13:53.46 They said that atheism is the fastest growing 00:13:53.50\00:13:55.80 religious movement today in North America. 00:13:55.83\00:13:58.70 And people are saying, "What on earth 00:13:58.73\00:14:00.54 can we do to save the church." 00:14:00.57\00:14:02.57 Well, of course, Christ died for the church, 00:14:02.60\00:14:04.44 He saved the church. 00:14:04.47\00:14:05.87 But what I mean is, "How can we keep the church 00:14:05.91\00:14:08.48 as a vibrant force in the world today in Australia, in America, 00:14:08.51\00:14:12.55 and in Europe and in the rest of the world?" 00:14:12.58\00:14:14.75 Let me tell you a little story. 00:14:14.78\00:14:16.58 John Wesley was one of the greatest preachers 00:14:16.62\00:14:18.55 that the English speaking world has ever heard. 00:14:18.59\00:14:21.82 John Wesley came upon the scene of the, 00:14:21.86\00:14:24.26 of the church in England a few hundred years ago, 00:14:24.29\00:14:26.70 when the church was dying like the church today, 00:14:26.73\00:14:29.56 it was a shrinking church. 00:14:29.60\00:14:32.10 But the people in the church were in the state of denial. 00:14:32.13\00:14:34.84 They refused to accept the reality 00:14:34.87\00:14:37.04 that the church was dying. 00:14:37.07\00:14:38.87 John Wesley did something 00:14:38.91\00:14:40.34 that other people said couldn't be done. 00:14:40.38\00:14:42.74 He revived the church through public evangelism. 00:14:42.78\00:14:46.35 Did you hear that? He started to preach Christ. 00:14:46.38\00:14:49.45 He preached the Bible and he preached out of doors 00:14:49.48\00:14:52.15 and indoors and the church was saved. 00:14:52.19\00:14:55.82 Not only did he save a lot of souls, 00:14:55.86\00:14:58.13 the souls of sinners, 00:14:58.16\00:14:59.69 he saved the souls of the saints. 00:14:59.73\00:15:04.03 Please join me, my friend, in evangelism, 00:15:04.07\00:15:09.24 it's what Jesus did. 00:15:09.27\00:15:11.37 Write to me John Cater, Post Office Box 1900, 00:15:11.41\00:15:15.21 Thousand Oaks, California. In Australia, 00:15:15.24\00:15:18.01 write to me at the address on the screen at Terrigal, 00:15:18.05\00:15:21.95 in New South Wales. 00:15:21.98\00:15:23.79 Join me, my friend, in preaching Christ. 00:15:23.82\00:15:27.72 Join me in public evangelism around the world. 00:15:27.76\00:15:33.03 Thank you in Jesus' name. 00:15:33.06\00:15:37.17 I've been reading Hebrews 6:1-8 that indicates 00:15:42.77\00:15:47.21 that there is no hope for the believer 00:15:47.24\00:15:49.34 who turns away from God. 00:15:49.38\00:15:51.41 I feel totally discouraged. Is there no hope for me? 00:15:51.45\00:15:56.28 Yes, there is hope for you, my friend. 00:15:56.32\00:15:59.09 But let's read the passage that you're talking about 00:15:59.12\00:16:01.92 because it is quite frankly a bit of a difficult passage. 00:16:01.96\00:16:07.46 And I'm going to turn to Hebrews 6:4 00:16:07.50\00:16:12.17 and onwards the Bible says, "It is impossible for those 00:16:12.20\00:16:16.50 who have once been enlightened, 00:16:16.54\00:16:18.84 who have tasted the heavenly gift, 00:16:18.87\00:16:21.08 who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 00:16:21.11\00:16:24.18 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God 00:16:24.21\00:16:27.85 and the powers of the coming age, 00:16:27.88\00:16:31.39 if they fall away, 00:16:31.42\00:16:32.75 to be brought back to repentance. 00:16:32.79\00:16:35.06 Because to their loss they are crucifying 00:16:35.09\00:16:38.19 the Son of God all over again 00:16:38.23\00:16:42.06 and subjecting him to public disgrace." 00:16:42.10\00:16:46.10 The Bible says here and I can understand 00:16:46.13\00:16:49.20 why person have put in that question. 00:16:49.24\00:16:52.87 He's so concerned and so discouraged. 00:16:52.91\00:16:55.61 This text seems to say that, if you become a believer 00:16:55.64\00:16:59.55 and if you turn away from God, 00:16:59.58\00:17:01.88 you're lost and you're damned for ever. 00:17:01.92\00:17:06.05 And that person wrote to me and I got this on my iPad 00:17:06.09\00:17:11.19 and the question went on more and more, 00:17:11.23\00:17:14.46 we've just given you just a little bit of the question. 00:17:14.50\00:17:16.93 That the person said, a lady said 00:17:16.97\00:17:19.43 I feel just so discouraged, 00:17:19.47\00:17:21.07 I just feel like committing suicide. 00:17:21.10\00:17:24.21 But I want to tell you today, what this is talking about. 00:17:24.24\00:17:27.88 It's talking not about 00:17:27.91\00:17:29.44 just committing an ordinary sin, 00:17:29.48\00:17:32.35 but it's talking about committing 00:17:32.38\00:17:35.02 the unpardonable sin. 00:17:35.05\00:17:37.49 Okay, you want to know what the unpardonable sin is. 00:17:37.52\00:17:40.66 Well, let me see if I can find it here. 00:17:40.69\00:17:43.22 Matthew 12:31-32, Jesus says, 00:17:43.26\00:17:50.77 "So I tell you, every sin 00:17:50.80\00:17:53.84 and blasphemy will be forgiven men." 00:17:53.87\00:17:56.54 Hey, that's good news. 00:17:56.57\00:17:59.57 If you turn to God, 00:17:59.61\00:18:00.94 God will forgive the sin of murder, 00:18:00.98\00:18:03.48 adultery, fornication, lying and stealing 00:18:03.51\00:18:08.32 and being just a regular flake. 00:18:08.35\00:18:10.52 If you turn to God and if you repent of your sin, 00:18:10.55\00:18:14.32 God is going to forgive every sin, Jesus said it. 00:18:14.36\00:18:17.39 Jesus said, "I tell you, every sin 00:18:17.43\00:18:19.49 and blasphemy will be forgiven men. 00:18:19.53\00:18:22.03 But blasphemy against the spirit 00:18:22.06\00:18:25.33 will not be forgiven." 00:18:25.37\00:18:27.14 If you sin against the Holy Spirit, 00:18:27.17\00:18:28.87 the Bible says, it's all over. 00:18:28.90\00:18:31.67 Anyone who speaks against a word, 00:18:31.71\00:18:34.94 against the Son of Man will be forgiven, 00:18:34.98\00:18:38.31 but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit 00:18:38.35\00:18:40.95 will not be forgiven, either in this age 00:18:40.98\00:18:44.75 or in the age to come." 00:18:44.79\00:18:47.82 Jesus says, you can do this, you can do that, 00:18:47.86\00:18:52.73 you can murder, you can steal, you can fornicate. 00:18:52.76\00:18:57.57 You can do all of these dreadful sins, 00:18:57.60\00:18:59.77 but if you come to Christ in sincere repentance, 00:18:59.80\00:19:03.17 the blood of Jesus will wash away your sins. 00:19:03.20\00:19:07.38 Jesus said this, "If you sin against the Holy Spirit, 00:19:07.41\00:19:11.71 there's no forgiveness and that's what the writer 00:19:11.75\00:19:14.38 of Hebrews is talking about. 00:19:14.42\00:19:17.22 Now how do I sin against the Holy Spirit? 00:19:17.25\00:19:19.15 Well, the Holy Spirit is the third person, 00:19:19.19\00:19:21.22 it's Godhead. 00:19:21.26\00:19:22.86 And the Holy Spirit is sent from God 00:19:22.89\00:19:25.89 to convict me of my sins. 00:19:25.93\00:19:30.63 You see, I won't feel my need to repentance 00:19:30.67\00:19:33.80 until the Holy Spirit comes and convicts me of my sin. 00:19:33.84\00:19:40.38 And when the Holy Spirit talks to me, 00:19:40.41\00:19:42.14 the first time I hear him, I hear him 00:19:42.18\00:19:45.21 as though it were thunder in my ears. 00:19:45.25\00:19:48.78 He talks to me and I just can't get away 00:19:48.82\00:19:51.39 from his voice. 00:19:51.42\00:19:54.06 But if I keep saying no to God, no, no, no, no. 00:19:54.09\00:20:00.30 The voice of God will become softer, 00:20:00.33\00:20:03.26 and softer, and softer 00:20:03.30\00:20:06.17 because of the process of the hardening of my soul. 00:20:06.20\00:20:12.01 I can harden my heart. 00:20:12.04\00:20:14.44 That's why the Bible says, "Don't harden your hearts." 00:20:14.48\00:20:18.65 So the unpardonable sin is when a person hardens heart. 00:20:18.68\00:20:23.32 But listen to this, if you want to be saved. 00:20:23.35\00:20:28.62 If you still have a conscience, it shows that you can be saved. 00:20:28.66\00:20:36.20 You can be redeemed even if you've been 00:20:36.23\00:20:39.77 a member of the church. 00:20:39.80\00:20:41.24 And you've wandered from the God 00:20:41.27\00:20:42.87 and you've done some terrible things, 00:20:42.90\00:20:45.61 but if you come to God in sincere repentance 00:20:45.64\00:20:49.44 and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit 00:20:49.48\00:20:53.31 and come to Christ, then my friend, 00:20:53.35\00:20:56.28 you will be saved. 00:20:56.32\00:21:00.06 What do you think of Pope Francis? 00:21:00.09\00:21:02.52 Do you see the day when we shall all unite 00:21:02.56\00:21:05.49 under the Catholic Church? 00:21:05.53\00:21:07.66 What do I think of Pope Francis? 00:21:07.70\00:21:09.76 Well, that's sort of putting me on the spot 00:21:09.80\00:21:11.90 because I personally don't know Pope Francis. 00:21:11.93\00:21:15.10 I only see Pope Francis on CNN, or Fox News, 00:21:15.14\00:21:19.94 or when I pick up Time magazine, 00:21:19.97\00:21:21.78 or something like that. 00:21:21.81\00:21:23.14 I don't know Pope Francis, but he seems to be 00:21:23.18\00:21:26.18 a sort of nice guy, doesn't he? 00:21:26.21\00:21:29.42 You know, I'm told, this what I'm told, 00:21:29.45\00:21:31.95 he drives a little car. 00:21:31.99\00:21:34.76 Smaller than my car, so he seems to be 00:21:34.79\00:21:37.03 rather humble sort of guy and when he became the pope, 00:21:37.06\00:21:40.96 the first thing he did, he went back to the hotel 00:21:41.00\00:21:43.37 where he had been staying and he paid his hotel bill. 00:21:43.40\00:21:47.30 He doesn't seem to be like a pontiff. 00:21:47.34\00:21:50.51 He seems to be a nicer guy. 00:21:50.54\00:21:54.31 Now, the, the Bible tells us that God has got a big family. 00:21:54.34\00:21:59.68 And I want you to hear what I'm going to say, 00:21:59.71\00:22:01.58 and not misunderstand this and not... 00:22:01.62\00:22:03.59 Because I'm just giving you some plain talk today. 00:22:03.62\00:22:06.22 I'm telling you what I believe the Bible teaches 00:22:06.25\00:22:09.62 and I'm just a plain man and I'm just giving you 00:22:09.66\00:22:12.03 some plain talk. 00:22:12.06\00:22:14.50 I believe that God has got a big family. 00:22:14.53\00:22:17.73 And that there are millions 00:22:17.77\00:22:19.67 of wonderful Roman Catholic Christians. 00:22:19.70\00:22:23.10 Some people say, "Oh, no. 00:22:23.14\00:22:24.57 My church, we're the only ones who're gonna be saved. 00:22:24.61\00:22:27.54 You are in for a big shock, my friend. 00:22:27.58\00:22:31.75 God has got a real big family. 00:22:31.78\00:22:35.62 And we had a person in my church 00:22:35.65\00:22:37.65 who said, this person was an amazing person, 00:22:37.69\00:22:41.96 wrote the book, 00:22:41.99\00:22:43.32 Great Controversy, Desire of Ages. 00:22:43.36\00:22:45.73 And this little old American lady said, 00:22:45.76\00:22:49.43 "The vast majority of God's children 00:22:49.46\00:22:53.34 are in the Protestant and the Catholic churches. 00:22:53.37\00:22:58.51 So as the pope says, "Who am I to judge, 00:22:58.54\00:23:02.38 when I'm talking about an individual?" 00:23:02.41\00:23:04.81 Does that mean that I believe in 00:23:04.85\00:23:06.82 what the pope teaches? 00:23:06.85\00:23:08.48 No, I don't believe in all those things. 00:23:08.52\00:23:11.15 I don't believe in his concept of the gospel. 00:23:11.19\00:23:14.26 I don't believe that Mary is in heaven. 00:23:14.29\00:23:17.33 I don't believe in praying to the saints. 00:23:17.36\00:23:20.90 I don't believe in an earthly priesthood. 00:23:20.93\00:23:23.30 Do I believe in the priesthood? I sure do. 00:23:23.33\00:23:26.30 But my priest is Jesus in heaven, my friend. 00:23:26.33\00:23:31.01 Do I see the day when the churches 00:23:31.04\00:23:32.71 are going to come together 00:23:32.74\00:23:34.18 and unite with the Catholic Church? 00:23:34.21\00:23:35.88 Absolutely. 00:23:35.91\00:23:37.48 I can see it happening right here 00:23:37.51\00:23:39.18 in the United States of America 00:23:39.21\00:23:41.35 because of political correctness. 00:23:41.38\00:23:44.59 And there's another reason, people are sort of dumb, 00:23:44.62\00:23:49.89 when it comes to the Bible. 00:23:49.92\00:23:53.40 There is a lot of ignorance concerning the Bible. 00:23:53.43\00:23:57.23 But I believe that because people 00:23:57.27\00:23:58.90 are very ignorant of the Bible, 00:23:58.93\00:24:03.20 they're just going to go way the wind is blowing. 00:24:03.24\00:24:06.78 And I believe, I believe that before the end of the world, 00:24:06.81\00:24:09.94 before Jesus comes, we are going to have 00:24:09.98\00:24:13.21 one big super amalgamation of religion. 00:24:13.25\00:24:18.82 And I've got a feeling 00:24:18.85\00:24:20.29 that the pope is going to be in charge of it. 00:24:20.32\00:24:23.12 That's plain talk. 00:24:23.16\00:24:26.23 Are you interested in conducting 00:24:26.26\00:24:27.86 an evangelistic campaign 00:24:27.90\00:24:30.00 in the biggest Muslim country in the world? 00:24:30.03\00:24:33.30 Oh, I'm interested in doing evangelism anywhere 00:24:33.34\00:24:36.17 that God opens the doors. 00:24:36.20\00:24:38.17 Now, I've run evangelistic campaigns before, 00:24:38.21\00:24:42.94 and I've spoken to lots of Muslims. 00:24:42.98\00:24:46.01 I've people who say to me, 00:24:46.05\00:24:47.85 "John Cater, you must be very naive 00:24:47.88\00:24:49.58 because that doesn't happen. 00:24:49.62\00:24:51.09 You can't, you can't run an evangelistic campaign 00:24:51.12\00:24:53.82 and you're not going to have Muslims coming." 00:24:53.86\00:24:55.89 Hey, I've had thousands coming. 00:24:55.92\00:24:58.33 In the city of Kazan, capital of Tatarstan, 00:24:58.36\00:25:03.16 we ran a great evangelistic campaign 00:25:03.20\00:25:05.73 in a great theater that seated about 7,000 people. 00:25:05.77\00:25:09.74 And then we had a baptism in front of the mosque. 00:25:09.77\00:25:14.18 In fact, the leader of the Muslim religion 00:25:14.21\00:25:18.25 told the people that I was a gift from God, 00:25:18.28\00:25:21.88 and to listen to what I was saying. 00:25:21.92\00:25:24.19 Because I was preaching the Bible, 00:25:24.22\00:25:26.52 and I was preaching against sin, 00:25:26.55\00:25:28.96 and I was preaching against alcoholism. 00:25:28.99\00:25:32.06 That's just one thing, I spoke out against. 00:25:32.09\00:25:34.40 And the Muslim said amen, where as all the Christians 00:25:34.43\00:25:37.67 in that city were invariably drunk. 00:25:37.70\00:25:42.00 So would I be prepared to run a campaign 00:25:42.04\00:25:44.21 in a Muslim city again? 00:25:44.24\00:25:46.57 Yes. 00:25:46.61\00:25:47.94 In the biggest Muslim country in the world? 00:25:47.98\00:25:49.38 Yes. 00:25:49.41\00:25:50.75 But if you want me to do it, you better be my partner 00:25:50.78\00:25:53.25 and send me some money, 00:25:53.28\00:25:55.08 so I can do what God has called us to do. 00:25:55.12\00:26:00.09 What is the second Protestant Reformation?
