the war, that took place

criminality and violence.

you know to accomplish.

But then when you
have Christ in your soul,

there's great challenges

one that leads you.

And we were growing up
preaching, given Bible studies,

getting involved in the church,

and the dreams of God were just
being fulfilled in our lives.

Now we know that 75,000 souls

were murdered
in the terrible war

that took place in El Salvador.

You were brought up, you
saw your friends being killed.

You saw young
people being murdered.

You saw blood on the streets,

and you were
preaching the gospel as a boy.

When did you start
preaching the gospel?

I was ten years

there was a fire burning.

down to El Salvador,

and we met you,

leader of the church.

They call you a Union President.

And we met the other presidents,

And then the
dream started to grow.

by the grace of God,

people get to the meetings?

that were not counted for

but, they were in the thousands.

Plus cars and

and the people came
from all over El Salvador.

You know, only 30
percent of the membership

participated in this drive.

The rest were friends.

All the members of
the church in El Salvador,

they do not fit in the stadium.

are making big lines,

They did not
only come one night,

but they came the other nights.

We never thought that the
Adventist Church was so large.

And when they
heard the messages,

Christ-centered messages,

the Seventh-day
Adventist message,

and when they saw and
heard the whole program,

they said, "The

The message of Christ.

You know, Jesus said, "With God

do to save the church?"

Well, of course,
Christ died for the church,

He saved the church.

But what they mean is
how can we keep the church

as a vibrant force
in the world today,

in Australia, in
America and in Europe

and in rest of the world.

Let me tell you a little story.

John Wesley was one
of the greatest preachers

that the English-speaking
world has ever heard.

John Wesley came upon the
scene of the church in England

when the church was dying.

Like the church today,
it was a shrinking church.

But the people in the church
were in a state of denial.

They refused to
accept the reality

that the church was dying.

John Wesley did something

said couldn't be done.
