I worked with an old
evangelist in Australia.

haven't heard of him,

his name was George Burnside.

Man, he could preach.

We don't-- we don't make them
like George Burnside anymore

but, you know, I heard
him preach down in a town

in Australia by the name of

wait till you
hear it, Wagga Wagga.

And he could preach for an hour

and then he would show pictures

of his travels around the world.

Travels that illustrated
the veracity of the Bible.

And I had a young man
sit beside me one night

and when he had finished
preaching after two hours,

he said, "Why
does he have to stop?"

Now, that's
preaching. He was interesting.

He spoke with the
authority of the word of God.

And he taught me a lesson,
he told me this, he said,

"John, you've got to
learn to be a Bible preacher."

He said, "Don't be
like these people who get up

and they get up and
they just talk about nothing,

and they say it very well."

And so they get up and they
may take a text out of the--

Often they don't even
take a text out of the Bible,

they just give a lot of waffle,

and he would
say a lot of humbug.

So I believed in the Bible.

When I come to the
book of Ephesians 2,

and you asking me
about as a pastor,

and I'm first and

I'm only a part-time evangelist

be a full-time evangelist.

It costs me too much.

says, talking about

"Remember that at that time
you were separate from Christ."

I mean, I've met lots of people,

they said to me, "No, no,
people aren't without hope

They're really saved.

They're saved
until they reject."

So we're not saved by accepting,

the undiluted truths

Not playing politics,
not trying to please men,

because it's very unusual

I think most people
may not have an idea,

organization, the size of it.

We're not very big,

Well, the amount of
money that has to come in

because of what you're doing,

paying big salaries to people

to get all of that together,

the television equipment,

you can look into the cameras--

I've seen you do it
time and time again,

the word mentions
3ABN or some other ministry

and you tell the
folks, why don't you support,

about and pray about.

How do you do that based on
how much your own needs are?

tremendous amount of needs.

send money to people

believe they needed help.

our bills to preach the gospel.

So when we've
gone to places like,

Papua New Guinea and
recently to El Salvador,

nobody is coming to us
from the church organization

and saying, hey, this is
going to cost a million dollars,

they got a million dollars.

You know, that doesn't happen.

We start these
campaigns without a bean

but we believe that the
will of God will never take us

where the grace of
God cannot sustain us.

And we believe that
if we go ahead in faith

and do what God wants us to
do, He's going to talk to people

who are watching
the television programs

and they're going to send money.

You'll like this
story, a man sent us,

I wish he'd do it again.

If he's watching,
would you do it again,

He sent us 20,000. Wow.

And the reason that he sent us
