"The Living Word" around the world. 00:00:10.64\00:00:12.76 Hello, friend, I'm John Carter. 00:00:16.74\00:00:19.10 Welcome today to the "Carter Report." 00:00:19.13\00:00:21.14 Our program today has got mighty power in it, 00:00:21.17\00:00:25.22 because we're talking about the greatest hoax 00:00:25.25\00:00:28.43 that has ever been perpetrated upon the human race. 00:00:28.46\00:00:31.11 We're talking about "The Death of Darwinism." 00:00:31.14\00:00:35.60 Our special guest today is Dr. Don Johnson, 00:00:35.63\00:00:39.21 who has two PhD's, one in chemistry 00:00:39.24\00:00:43.31 and one in computer information science. 00:00:43.34\00:00:46.37 He has these doctorates 00:00:46.40\00:00:47.90 from two great American universities, 00:00:47.93\00:00:51.56 from Michigan State University that has 50,000 students 00:00:51.59\00:00:56.82 and from Minnesota University 00:00:56.85\00:01:00.78 that has more then 50,000 students. 00:01:00.81\00:01:04.33 He is a scientist and we're talking 00:01:04.36\00:01:07.67 about the truths that will set you free. 00:01:07.70\00:01:11.06 Welcome today to the "Carter Report". 00:01:11.09\00:01:14.68 Hi, I'm John Carter. 00:01:16.48\00:01:19.29 I guess the toughest place that I've ever been to 00:01:19.32\00:01:22.08 as far as preaching of the gospel is concerned 00:01:22.11\00:01:25.30 is India, home to more than a billion souls. 00:01:25.33\00:01:30.95 And I guess, hundreds of millions of different Gods. 00:01:30.98\00:01:35.64 It almost overwhelms the senses. 00:01:35.67\00:01:38.83 What can we do? 00:01:38.86\00:01:40.37 Well, we've been to India, we've run outdoor meetings. 00:01:40.40\00:01:43.69 We've had thousands and thousands of people, 00:01:43.72\00:01:46.38 Hindus, Muslims at our meetings coming forth in altar calls. 00:01:46.41\00:01:51.20 But we're going to try to do something else as well. 00:01:51.23\00:01:54.33 We're gonna start small. 00:01:54.36\00:01:56.41 We're starting with a program called 00:01:56.44\00:01:58.77 "Touching the Untouchables" 00:01:58.80\00:02:02.04 and we're going to start with a little 00:02:02.07\00:02:03.80 untouchable goals. 00:02:03.83\00:02:05.83 We're doing this now. 00:02:05.86\00:02:07.65 We're getting them food, because they're so hungry. 00:02:07.68\00:02:10.76 Hard to come to Jesus, when you're hungry 00:02:10.79\00:02:13.85 and so we're getting them food 00:02:13.88\00:02:15.77 and we will be sending them to school. 00:02:15.80\00:02:18.64 We're trying to feed their souls 00:02:18.67\00:02:21.43 and fill their bellies in India, 00:02:21.46\00:02:25.60 home to more than a billion souls 00:02:25.63\00:02:29.06 and hundreds of million of Gods controlled by evil spirits. 00:02:29.09\00:02:34.66 Please help us in this work. 00:02:34.69\00:02:36.09 Please help us. 00:02:36.12\00:02:37.53 Write to me, John Carter, Post Office Box 1900, 00:02:37.56\00:02:41.31 Thousand Oaks, California, 91358 00:02:41.34\00:02:44.71 or write to me at Terrigal in Australia. 00:02:44.74\00:02:47.42 We have an Australian office as we have an Indian office, 00:02:47.45\00:02:52.13 with somebody there working full time trying to touch 00:02:52.16\00:02:56.44 the untouchables with the love of Jesus. 00:02:56.47\00:03:00.75 Please write to me today. 00:03:00.78\00:03:03.12 And Jesus said, "I've come to seek and to save 00:03:03.15\00:03:07.94 that which was lost." 00:03:07.97\00:03:10.89 Welcome today to the Carter Report. 00:03:17.52\00:03:19.16 We're talking about the greatest hoax 00:03:19.19\00:03:22.36 that is ever been fostered upon our gullible human race. 00:03:22.39\00:03:26.58 We're talking about Darwinism. 00:03:26.61\00:03:28.37 Dr. Johnson, we're glad that you're here today. 00:03:28.40\00:03:31.69 It's good to be here. 00:03:31.72\00:03:32.83 We just had a great television program with you 00:03:32.86\00:03:35.43 and this one is going to be just as good. 00:03:35.46\00:03:37.79 Now in our previous program 00:03:37.82\00:03:40.20 you talked about the human genome. 00:03:40.23\00:03:43.74 Now this was so amazing, it sort of blew me away 00:03:43.77\00:03:48.25 and we talked about DNA and some of those things. 00:03:48.28\00:03:51.42 For the folks who've just tuned in, 00:03:51.45\00:03:53.83 how much information is found in the human genome? 00:03:53.86\00:03:58.27 I want you to tell us this again. 00:03:58.30\00:04:00.27 Human genome has about 12 gigabits of information, 00:04:00.30\00:04:06.28 which if you relate that to 00:04:06.31\00:04:13.03 the amount of information and other media, 00:04:13.06\00:04:15.50 it just vastly overwhelms it. 00:04:15.53\00:04:17.76 DNA for example if you take one, strand of DNA, 00:04:17.79\00:04:23.52 one molecule of DNA from every person ever lived 00:04:23.55\00:04:26.47 it would easily fit in a teaspoon 00:04:26.50\00:04:28.64 along with enough room in that same teaspoon 00:04:28.67\00:04:31.57 to hold all the information of all the books 00:04:31.60\00:04:34.73 that ever been written, 00:04:34.76\00:04:36.41 if they could be encoded in the same method. 00:04:36.44\00:04:41.17 And a Darwinist will tell me this happened by blind chance. 00:04:41.20\00:04:44.63 That's what they would say. 00:04:44.66\00:04:45.85 And what would you comment on that? 00:04:45.88\00:04:47.37 How would you respond to that? 00:04:47.40\00:04:48.75 Show me, how is that possible, as an information scientist, 00:04:48.78\00:04:53.58 meaningful functional information 00:04:53.61\00:04:56.56 cannot arise from chance and life is filled 00:04:56.59\00:05:01.21 with meaningful functional information. 00:05:01.24\00:05:04.87 I heard then a great Professor John Lennox, I think, 00:05:04.90\00:05:09.98 that's right, from Oxford University, 00:05:10.01\00:05:12.58 a professor of mathematics. 00:05:12.61\00:05:14.60 He use to debating Richard Dawkins 00:05:14.63\00:05:16.38 and he says to Richard Dawkins, 00:05:16.41\00:05:18.13 it's like a man is walking through the desert, 00:05:18.16\00:05:21.28 he is going to die of starvation 00:05:21.31\00:05:23.41 and he sees some writing in the sand. 00:05:23.44\00:05:27.02 Well, immediately he assumes 00:05:27.05\00:05:29.63 that somebody has been there before him 00:05:29.66\00:05:31.66 and somebody wants to point him 00:05:31.69\00:05:33.22 in the direction of water. 00:05:33.25\00:05:34.95 But, you go then to Richard Dawkins 00:05:34.98\00:05:38.42 and you show him the DNA and everything. 00:05:38.45\00:05:40.64 He says, no, this doesn't show intelligent creator 00:05:40.67\00:05:43.94 this happened by itself. 00:05:43.97\00:05:45.72 Richard Dawkins is said that, 00:05:45.75\00:05:49.26 life only looks like it was designed, 00:05:49.29\00:05:54.89 it really wasn't. 00:05:54.92\00:05:57.06 Well, it certainly doesn't look like it, doesn't it? 00:05:57.09\00:05:58.84 It does to me. 00:05:58.87\00:05:59.96 Now you're expert in this, you've got doctorate in this. 00:05:59.99\00:06:03.14 Define information, what is information? 00:06:03.17\00:06:05.97 Information technically means 00:06:06.00\00:06:08.74 that something can be in one of multiple states 00:06:08.77\00:06:13.90 and which state it's in 00:06:13.93\00:06:16.90 determines the information content. 00:06:16.93\00:06:19.79 For example, if you flip a coin it can be either head or tail. 00:06:19.82\00:06:25.19 That could be information but its chance information. 00:06:25.22\00:06:29.59 Yes. 00:06:29.62\00:06:30.83 Now no meaningfulness about it at all. 00:06:30.86\00:06:34.95 If you had a two head coin, it doesn't matter 00:06:34.98\00:06:37.58 how many times you flip it, 00:06:37.61\00:06:38.64 you're gonna get heads every time. 00:06:38.67\00:06:40.71 That has no information, 00:06:40.74\00:06:42.26 because there is no contingency. 00:06:42.29\00:06:44.35 It cannot be either than heads 00:06:44.38\00:06:48.10 and same this is true in information. 00:06:48.13\00:06:51.14 Information for example, 00:06:51.17\00:06:53.07 every nucleotide along the DNA strand 00:06:53.10\00:06:57.51 can be in any one of four different states. 00:06:57.54\00:07:01.94 And which state it's in will determine 00:07:01.97\00:07:08.14 the information content and there's nothing along 00:07:08.17\00:07:12.01 the DNA that determines which it should be. 00:07:12.04\00:07:13.96 They are purely arbitrary as far as looking at it goes. 00:07:13.99\00:07:17.82 And in fact, studies have shown that the DNA sequence 00:07:17.85\00:07:22.98 looks like its random but we know that it isn't random, 00:07:23.01\00:07:26.59 because it's functional. 00:07:26.62\00:07:28.39 And so just looking like its random 00:07:28.42\00:07:31.43 doesn't make it random. 00:07:31.46\00:07:33.88 Now Richard Dawkins 00:07:33.91\00:07:35.57 other atheistic evolutionist 00:07:35.60\00:07:39.38 say that this was the result of chaos. 00:07:39.41\00:07:43.21 Now can chaos produce intelligent information? 00:07:43.24\00:07:50.14 Randomness can never produce functional information 00:07:50.17\00:07:54.46 and functional information 00:07:54.49\00:07:56.21 is actually even more so in life, 00:07:56.24\00:07:58.73 because it is not only functional, 00:07:58.76\00:08:02.46 but it also is prescriptive. 00:08:02.49\00:08:05.63 Prescriptive to illustrate 00:08:05.66\00:08:09.01 the difference between random information, 00:08:09.04\00:08:12.06 chance contingency, functional information 00:08:12.09\00:08:16.20 and prescriptive information. 00:08:16.23\00:08:19.13 Assume for example 00:08:19.16\00:08:20.24 you had a monkey typing at a keyboard. 00:08:20.27\00:08:23.08 Computer keyboard. 00:08:23.11\00:08:24.67 Now no knowledge at all about what is being typed, 00:08:24.70\00:08:28.54 that would be an example of chance contingency. 00:08:28.57\00:08:32.90 Every stroke is recorded, you know, it has a pattern. 00:08:32.93\00:08:36.47 Yes, yes. 00:08:36.50\00:08:37.59 But that's purely by chance, has no meaning whatsoever. 00:08:37.62\00:08:42.04 If I were writing email to you for example, 00:08:42.07\00:08:46.12 which I've done, that is functional information. 00:08:46.15\00:08:50.04 Because I'm conveying something functional 00:08:50.07\00:08:53.21 from one person to another, that's functional information. 00:08:53.24\00:08:57.68 If I were sitting at my computer typing 00:08:57.71\00:09:00.15 a computer program 00:09:00.18\00:09:02.13 that would be an example, it's functional information, 00:09:02.16\00:09:05.16 but its also prescriptive information. 00:09:05.19\00:09:08.82 Prescriptive means, 00:09:08.85\00:09:10.45 you have to follow this prescription 00:09:10.48\00:09:13.22 and when you do you'll get some meaningful result 00:09:13.25\00:09:16.95 and prescriptive information is like a recipe 00:09:16.98\00:09:20.04 for example for baking a cake. 00:09:20.07\00:09:22.49 If you follow the sequence properly, 00:09:22.52\00:09:25.84 you'd get the desired result and life is filled with that. 00:09:25.87\00:09:30.26 And how does this relate to DNA 00:09:30.29\00:09:33.31 and human genome, and all that stuff? 00:09:33.34\00:09:36.23 DNA has in it prescriptive information. 00:09:36.26\00:09:40.83 Every one of the 100,000 proteins 00:09:40.86\00:09:44.52 for example that are generated by your body, as-- 00:09:44.55\00:09:48.12 Hundred thousand proteins? 00:09:48.15\00:09:49.19 Hundred thousand proteins that are manufactured 00:09:49.22\00:09:51.70 and used by your body, every single one of them 00:09:51.73\00:09:55.38 is the output of a real computer programs execution. 00:09:55.41\00:10:01.08 So every one of those-- 00:10:01.11\00:10:02.14 Now you're sure of this? 00:10:02.17\00:10:03.23 Yes, yes. I am. 00:10:03.26\00:10:05.99 Then how could evolution produce this, 00:10:06.02\00:10:08.00 I ask you? 00:10:08.03\00:10:09.36 I really have no idea how it could, in fact, 00:10:09.39\00:10:11.32 it couldn't because programs do not arise by chance. 00:10:11.35\00:10:16.99 An evolution Darwinistic evolution says, 00:10:17.02\00:10:21.14 you have these functional computer programs 00:10:21.17\00:10:25.57 for a particular organism. 00:10:25.60\00:10:28.66 Sometimes those computer programs 00:10:28.69\00:10:33.68 are modified by mutations to produce better programs 00:10:33.71\00:10:35.67 and that just doesn't make any sense 00:10:35.70\00:10:37.96 as an information side. 00:10:37.99\00:10:40.14 It certainly takes a great deal of faith, doesn't it? 00:10:40.17\00:10:42.05 Well, I would think so. 00:10:42.08\00:10:43.11 I mean to believe in this-- this stuff. 00:10:43.14\00:10:45.91 That all of these randomness and chaos 00:10:45.94\00:10:48.48 produce this tremendous a matter of information, 00:10:48.51\00:10:52.72 it takes faith to believe that 00:10:52.75\00:10:55.55 because there is no evidence for it. 00:10:55.58\00:10:57.25 No, and in fact a lot of people say-- 00:10:57.28\00:11:00.17 well, even Richard Dawkins says, 00:11:00.20\00:11:02.28 that the code that's in the DNA, 00:11:02.31\00:11:06.06 looks an awful lot like computer code. 00:11:06.09\00:11:08.53 And there is-- you said the, computer code 00:11:08.56\00:11:13.46 in that could just as well go 00:11:13.49\00:11:15.26 in to a computer engineer journal or something. 00:11:15.29\00:11:17.91 Now we do believe that there was a person 00:11:17.94\00:11:20.09 of course in charge who done with it. 00:11:20.12\00:11:21.17 Yeah, yeah, but what is-- what is interesting to me 00:11:21.20\00:11:25.22 is that Craig Venter, and his group designed 00:11:25.25\00:11:30.79 what they called the artificial genome. 00:11:30.82\00:11:34.17 They took the DNA from one particular bacterium, 00:11:34.20\00:11:38.30 they extracted it, they cobbled together 00:11:38.33\00:11:41.79 something that match the DNA of another bacterium 00:11:41.82\00:11:44.69 without understanding what was being done 00:11:44.72\00:11:46.98 other then it matched. 00:11:47.01\00:11:48.93 They injected the cobbled together 00:11:48.96\00:11:51.91 DNA into the bacterium, whose DNA was extracted 00:11:51.94\00:11:57.09 did some operations and it became alive 00:11:57.12\00:11:59.85 with a new DNA. 00:11:59.88\00:12:01.79 And his comment on that was 00:12:01.82\00:12:06.73 this demonstrator changed his mind 00:12:06.76\00:12:09.37 because this demonstrate that life 00:12:09.40\00:12:11.68 is an information process, a software process. 00:12:11.71\00:12:15.98 Our genetic code is our software. 00:12:16.01\00:12:19.23 This was said by the man who proved experimentally 00:12:19.26\00:12:24.38 that DNA code is software 00:12:24.41\00:12:27.32 and it is read by biological computers that are real. 00:12:27.35\00:12:31.31 Once upon a time you were an evolutionist. 00:12:31.34\00:12:35.08 Yep, I was. 00:12:35.11\00:12:36.77 But you are not an evolutionist today. 00:12:36.80\00:12:38.63 I was an evolutionist for 18 years 00:12:38.66\00:12:41.05 after becoming a Christian. 00:12:41.08\00:12:42.11 Yes. 00:12:42.14\00:12:43.19 I continued believing teachings so forth. 00:12:43.22\00:12:46.24 But science convinced me 00:12:46.27\00:12:50.24 evolution doesn't have a leg to stand on. 00:12:50.27\00:12:52.96 It is scientifically not Bible. 00:12:52.99\00:12:55.47 It's a hoax. 00:12:55.50\00:12:56.53 It's a hoax. 00:12:56.56\00:12:58.49 They say that random mutation followed by natural selection 00:12:58.52\00:13:03.73 is the mechanism for evolution. 00:13:03.76\00:13:06.24 Now there are literally in the last few years, 00:13:06.27\00:13:09.12 thousands of scientists would disagree with that 00:13:09.15\00:13:13.01 and I'm one of them, 00:13:13.04\00:13:15.37 that it doesn't-- doesn't hold water. 00:13:15.40\00:13:19.17 Because natural selection simply is a-- 00:13:19.20\00:13:26.13 will determine which one of the organisms 00:13:26.16\00:13:29.59 will survived to reproduce. 00:13:29.62\00:13:32.64 Natural selection has no capability 00:13:32.67\00:13:36.42 of going back in to the DNA and modifying it 00:13:36.45\00:13:39.88 so that you have evolution. 00:13:39.91\00:13:41.62 You're watching the Carter Report. 00:13:41.65\00:13:43.52 We're talking about "The Death of Darwinism" 00:13:43.55\00:13:46.82 and we'll be back with Dr. Don Johnson. 00:13:46.85\00:13:49.55 God has His time and His place for everything. 00:13:51.96\00:13:57.28 And the time and the place now 00:13:57.31\00:14:00.31 is Latin America, including Cuba. 00:14:00.34\00:14:04.81 Time Magazine talks about the second Protestant reformation 00:14:04.84\00:14:09.72 and describes how hundreds of thousands even millions 00:14:09.75\00:14:14.18 of Latinos are coming to the gospel of Christ. 00:14:14.21\00:14:19.63 I'm not an armchair theologians, 00:14:19.66\00:14:22.24 I'm speaking according to experience. 00:14:22.27\00:14:24.85 I've seen it with my own eyes. 00:14:24.88\00:14:28.60 Recently we went down to El Salvador, 00:14:28.63\00:14:32.71 there I spoke in the largest football stadium 00:14:32.74\00:14:35.81 in Central America with the biggest crowd 00:14:35.84\00:14:39.10 that football stadium had ever, ever seen. 00:14:39.13\00:14:42.27 They came not to see a football match 00:14:42.30\00:14:45.89 but to hear about the Blood of Christ. 00:14:45.92\00:14:49.04 Millions are coming to knowledge of God 00:14:49.07\00:14:52.21 in Latin America. 00:14:52.24\00:14:54.89 Doors are opening in Cuba. 00:14:54.92\00:14:58.16 Who knows we may be going to Cuba soon. 00:14:58.19\00:15:01.75 As the doors open by the grace of God 00:15:01.78\00:15:05.45 we are going to step through those doors 00:15:05.48\00:15:08.68 and we want you to step through those doors with us 00:15:08.71\00:15:12.91 and be part of our team for such a time as this. 00:15:12.94\00:15:17.14 Please write to me friend, don't put it off. 00:15:17.17\00:15:20.00 Write to me, John Carter, PO Box 1900, 00:15:20.03\00:15:24.62 Thousand Oaks California, 91358. 00:15:24.65\00:15:28.57 In Australia, write to me at Terrigal, New South Wales. 00:15:28.60\00:15:33.96 Be part of the second reformation, join us 00:15:33.99\00:15:38.57 and see the miracles of God. 00:15:38.60\00:15:41.23 Amen. 00:15:42.17\00:15:43.38 Hello, friend, I'm John Carter. 00:15:52.90\00:15:54.75 Welcome back to the Carter Report. 00:15:54.78\00:15:56.60 And my special guest is a great scientist. 00:15:56.63\00:16:00.39 He got two PhD's in science, Dr. Don Johnson. 00:16:00.42\00:16:04.54 Glad to have you with us, doctor. 00:16:04.57\00:16:06.17 Good to be here. 00:16:06.20\00:16:07.27 We had a great time with you in the previous programs. 00:16:07.30\00:16:12.65 We're talking about information. 00:16:12.68\00:16:14.00 What is needed to set up a process 00:16:14.03\00:16:16.78 to produce vast stores of complicated information? 00:16:16.81\00:16:21.81 Now you've got a Ph.D. 00:16:21.84\00:16:23.71 in the computer information science. 00:16:23.74\00:16:27.50 So why do you have to have to set up 00:16:27.53\00:16:29.22 these vast storage system? 00:16:29.25\00:16:31.81 Well, you have to all information, 00:16:31.84\00:16:34.40 that's meaningful arise in a mind. 00:16:34.43\00:16:36.81 So for example a programmer programs 00:16:36.84\00:16:39.48 the computer and then ultimately 00:16:39.51\00:16:41.85 gets instantiated and put into memory 00:16:41.88\00:16:45.03 and so forth then it works. 00:16:45.06\00:16:46.22 So the computer programs weren't made by a chaotic-- 00:16:46.25\00:16:49.49 No, no. 00:16:49.52\00:16:51.94 If it were, you know, 00:16:51.97\00:16:54.27 people wouldn't need to hire programmers. 00:16:54.30\00:16:56.05 They would just, you know, let their computer run until, 00:16:56.08\00:16:58.63 you know, it would ultimately modified itself 00:16:58.66\00:17:00.78 to be something useful. 00:17:00.81\00:17:02.33 Well, that doesn't work. 00:17:02.36\00:17:03.43 And people know that, it doesn't work. 00:17:03.46\00:17:05.59 We get that to what is portrayed as scientific truth 00:17:05.62\00:17:09.82 when it comes to the genome 00:17:09.85\00:17:13.34 which is as 1000s-- 1000s of computer programs 00:17:13.37\00:17:19.63 and as much more complex than that. 00:17:19.66\00:17:22.12 Because there is all kinds of levels 00:17:22.15\00:17:25.33 of messages within messages and just all kinds of stuff. 00:17:25.36\00:17:29.34 Now look, I'm getting what you're saying, 00:17:29.37\00:17:31.16 but I'm nervous in this. 00:17:31.19\00:17:32.40 Like some other people 00:17:32.43\00:17:33.54 who are watching the program may be getting lost. 00:17:33.57\00:17:36.69 Don't get lost, just hang in here, 00:17:36.72\00:17:39.12 because this information may save your soul 00:17:39.15\00:17:42.53 or the soul of your children. 00:17:42.56\00:17:44.52 Tell me this about the human genome 00:17:44.55\00:17:47.07 all the information and all like computer 00:17:47.10\00:17:49.76 its and bits that are in that. 00:17:49.79\00:17:52.18 There are literally millions of real computer programs 00:17:52.21\00:17:56.00 and real computers in every single cell. 00:17:56.03\00:17:59.02 Yeah. 00:17:59.05\00:18:00.23 This-- are you sort of making this up for myself. 00:18:00.26\00:18:02.94 No, no, no, no, no. 00:18:02.97\00:18:04.09 This was actually we proven experimentally 00:18:04.12\00:18:06.84 by Craig Venter's group that-- 00:18:06.87\00:18:08.42 that our genetic code is our software, 00:18:08.45\00:18:11.72 which means that there is also a hardware that reads that code 00:18:11.75\00:18:15.27 and so they're real computers. 00:18:15.30\00:18:17.75 So this is not-- They are biological computers. 00:18:17.78\00:18:19.10 This is not from the theological seminary? 00:18:19.13\00:18:20.78 No. 00:18:20.81\00:18:21.88 No its not and it is something 00:18:21.91\00:18:23.64 that's an analogy, that it's like a computer program, 00:18:23.67\00:18:28.53 those are real computer programs. 00:18:28.56\00:18:30.82 Doctor, I want to read you a statement. 00:18:30.85\00:18:32.20 Sure. 00:18:32.23\00:18:33.28 Now, why should I be reading you this statement 00:18:33.31\00:18:35.65 because this is a way you're the authority. 00:18:35.68\00:18:38.70 "Even the simplest bacterium has about 2,000 genes, 00:18:38.73\00:18:45.35 each with 1,000 letters instructing the organism 00:18:45.38\00:18:49.33 how to function and reproduce. 00:18:49.36\00:18:52.60 According to Darwin's Theory, this was the raw material 00:18:52.63\00:18:57.43 that led a ultimately to the vast library 00:18:57.46\00:19:00.77 of information in human DNA, 00:19:00.80\00:19:03.17 the equivalent of a library of 1,700 volumes 00:19:03.20\00:19:09.11 each of a 1,000 pages." 00:19:09.14\00:19:12.66 Would you comment on this and tell me 00:19:12.69\00:19:15.06 why it is an absurdity to believe 00:19:15.09\00:19:19.52 that are happened by chance. 00:19:19.55\00:19:21.71 If you can believe that a library 00:19:21.74\00:19:24.08 of that magnitude could arise by chance, 00:19:24.11\00:19:27.05 you go ahead, but I don't and I don't think anybody 00:19:27.08\00:19:30.21 who thinks about it would. 00:19:30.24\00:19:32.78 It cannot arise by chance. 00:19:32.81\00:19:34.87 Information that's functional cannot ever arise by chance. 00:19:34.90\00:19:40.15 And what happens in evolution, Darwinian evolution 00:19:40.18\00:19:43.72 as you have random mutations taking place. 00:19:43.75\00:19:45.83 Yes. 00:19:45.86\00:19:46.96 A mutation has never ever been demonstrated-- 00:19:46.99\00:19:51.71 What's a mutation? 00:19:51.74\00:19:52.80 A mutation is, when something changes 00:19:52.83\00:19:56.31 radiation or whatever it changes 00:19:56.34\00:19:58.48 a one of the nucleotides along, 00:19:58.51\00:20:00.62 you know, the six billion nucleotides 00:20:00.65\00:20:03.13 along the strand. 00:20:03.16\00:20:05.09 How many billion? 00:20:05.12\00:20:06.38 Six billion of them along-- 00:20:06.41\00:20:08.68 Nucleotides? 00:20:08.71\00:20:09.74 Along the DNA. 00:20:09.77\00:20:10.80 Six billion? Six billion of them. 00:20:10.83\00:20:12.59 And a mutation changes one? A mutation might change one. 00:20:12.62\00:20:14.54 Yes. 00:20:14.57\00:20:15.60 For example, 00:20:15.63\00:20:17.85 sickle-cell anemia is caused by a single mutation 00:20:17.88\00:20:21.37 on a hemoglobin gene 00:20:21.40\00:20:23.04 and some people's say, 00:20:23.07\00:20:24.10 well, that's an example of a beneficial mutation, 00:20:24.13\00:20:26.72 because people with that mutation 00:20:26.75\00:20:29.13 don't develop malaria. 00:20:29.16\00:20:32.79 But that's because the plasmodium parasite 00:20:32.82\00:20:35.60 that-- that causes malaria can't invade those cells. 00:20:35.63\00:20:39.99 Therefore that's a selective mutation, 00:20:40.02\00:20:42.68 that's good for people living in areas 00:20:42.71\00:20:45.35 where there is a higher evidence of malaria. 00:20:45.38\00:20:49.37 But ask anybody in United States 00:20:49.40\00:20:51.37 or any other-- almost any other place, 00:20:51.40\00:20:53.92 if having sickle-cell is a good thing? 00:20:53.95\00:20:56.29 And they'll say no, and there has never been a case 00:20:56.32\00:21:01.02 where a mutation has caused an increase in information. 00:21:01.05\00:21:05.59 Well, that's a heart of Neo-Darwinism. 00:21:05.62\00:21:07.56 It is. It is. 00:21:07.59\00:21:08.68 I mean, you're dealing now, 00:21:08.71\00:21:10.37 you're get to the-- the jugular vein. 00:21:10.40\00:21:12.16 Yeah. 00:21:12.19\00:21:13.28 Because it's the very heart 00:21:13.31\00:21:14.34 of the Neo-Darwinian hypotheses or hoax. 00:21:14.37\00:21:18.75 That-- that is true. 00:21:18.78\00:21:19.84 Here's a statement I want you to comment on this. 00:21:19.87\00:21:22.89 "Nothing produces everything. 00:21:22.92\00:21:25.99 Non-life produces life. 00:21:26.02\00:21:28.94 Randomness produces fine tuning. 00:21:28.97\00:21:32.19 Chaos produces information. 00:21:32.22\00:21:35.11 Unconsciousness produces consciousness. 00:21:35.14\00:21:38.70 Non-reason produces reason." 00:21:38.73\00:21:41.66 As an information scientist, 00:21:41.69\00:21:45.53 tell me is it true? 00:21:45.56\00:21:47.88 Absolutely not. 00:21:47.91\00:21:49.65 Information has never been produce 00:21:49.68\00:21:51.42 by a random process, 00:21:51.45\00:21:52.97 at least functional information. 00:21:53.00\00:21:55.01 You can produce chance, 00:21:55.04\00:22:00.00 probabilities like with a dice or coin or something like that 00:22:00.03\00:22:03.62 but nothing functional. 00:22:03.65\00:22:06.20 And if for example, 00:22:06.23\00:22:09.48 you had some typing random things at a keyboard 00:22:09.51\00:22:13.39 and suddenly three of the letters 00:22:13.42\00:22:16.21 spelled D-O-N, 00:22:16.24\00:22:18.45 I wouldn't amid instantly conclude 00:22:18.48\00:22:20.79 oh, they're talking to me. 00:22:20.82\00:22:22.91 Because that would-- that would have no information, 00:22:22.94\00:22:26.60 even though I've matched something 00:22:26.63\00:22:27.94 that in another context might be information. 00:22:27.97\00:22:31.14 But through the information always requires a sender 00:22:31.17\00:22:34.66 and a receiver 00:22:34.69\00:22:35.98 if the information is functional. 00:22:36.01\00:22:38.45 It makes sense to me that 00:22:38.48\00:22:40.33 people who believe in the Darwinian idea do so, 00:22:40.36\00:22:46.19 because I haven't studied this information 00:22:46.22\00:22:48.76 or I'll say being brainwashed to believe that 00:22:48.79\00:22:50.87 every scientist in the world 00:22:50.90\00:22:52.06 believes in Darwinian information. 00:22:52.09\00:22:54.44 I think it's a-- it's a hoax, 00:22:54.47\00:22:57.91 I think people like you are giving tremendous evidence 00:22:57.94\00:23:01.92 why a person can believe, 00:23:01.95\00:23:04.26 that instead of man coming from nothing, 00:23:04.29\00:23:06.87 that man came from God. 00:23:06.90\00:23:09.15 And it says in Genesis 1:1 00:23:09.18\00:23:11.29 the most important words ever written down. 00:23:11.32\00:23:14.01 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." 00:23:14.04\00:23:19.75 Therefore we came from the hand of God 00:23:19.78\00:23:21.91 and because we came from the hand of God, 00:23:21.94\00:23:23.79 there is-- there is hope 00:23:23.82\00:23:25.07 and one day we're going to live for eternity. 00:23:25.10\00:23:29.08 Do mutation-- 00:23:29.11\00:23:30.57 I want you to tell me this a little bit more, 00:23:30.60\00:23:33.14 because you are giving so much information 00:23:33.17\00:23:35.62 and I'm missing a bit. 00:23:35.65\00:23:37.49 Do mutations ever increase information? 00:23:37.52\00:23:41.07 Never, they-- 00:23:41.10\00:23:42.83 That's category. 00:23:42.86\00:23:43.89 A random mutation has never been shown 00:23:43.92\00:23:47.58 to increase functional information. 00:23:47.61\00:23:50.19 It can change information 00:23:50.22\00:23:52.87 and every mutation that is ever been studied 00:23:52.90\00:23:56.74 actually demonstrates a loss of information 00:23:56.77\00:24:00.44 and some of those losses 00:24:00.47\00:24:02.51 can provide better survivability. 00:24:02.54\00:24:04.62 For example a bacterium might mutate at a point 00:24:04.65\00:24:09.32 where it in antibiotic would attach 00:24:09.35\00:24:11.33 and it becomes resistant to that bacteria, 00:24:11.36\00:24:13.62 that antibiotic. 00:24:13.65\00:24:14.69 Yes, yes, yes. That can happen. 00:24:14.72\00:24:16.01 Yes. 00:24:16.04\00:24:17.08 But where do you get 00:24:17.11\00:24:18.69 the worst possible infections in a hospital, 00:24:18.72\00:24:23.05 where all the normal bacteria are killed off-- 00:24:23.08\00:24:25.34 Yes, yes, yes. 00:24:25.37\00:24:26.41 Only those bacteria that have that 00:24:26.44\00:24:28.70 adverse mutation will survive. 00:24:28.73\00:24:32.64 Here is the statement 00:24:32.67\00:24:33.73 from William Provine of Cornell University. 00:24:33.76\00:24:37.80 "If Darwinism is true, there is no evidence for God, 00:24:37.83\00:24:42.12 there is not life after death, 00:24:42.15\00:24:44.05 there is no absolute foundation for right and wrong, 00:24:44.08\00:24:47.70 there is no ultimate meaningful life. 00:24:47.73\00:24:50.97 People really don't have free will." 00:24:51.00\00:24:54.90 Therefore Darwinism is a demise of humanity, 00:24:54.93\00:24:59.86 but today we're talking about the demise of Darwinism 00:24:59.89\00:25:04.56 and salvation of humanity. 00:25:04.59\00:25:07.20 Doctor, answer this question. 00:25:07.23\00:25:09.92 Has the actual-- 00:25:09.95\00:25:12.23 the actual reality of life's computer hardware 00:25:12.26\00:25:17.64 and software been verified or are they just fairy tales? 00:25:17.67\00:25:23.21 It has been verified by Craig Venter's group 00:25:23.24\00:25:25.82 and more and more scientists, literally thousands of them 00:25:25.85\00:25:29.59 are now acknowledging that. 00:25:29.62\00:25:32.73 It's a software process and further more 00:25:32.76\00:25:36.39 there are thousands of scientists 00:25:36.42\00:25:39.11 who are now doubting and searching for something 00:25:39.14\00:25:42.75 to replace Darwinism 00:25:42.78\00:25:44.25 because they realize Darwinism is dead. 00:25:44.28\00:25:48.00 Did you know one of the greatest scientists 00:25:48.03\00:25:52.05 made this remark of the man 00:25:52.08\00:25:53.98 who worked at punctuated equilibrium? 00:25:54.01\00:25:57.96 He said Gould-- 00:25:57.99\00:26:01.78 Gould? Stephen Jay Gould? 00:26:01.81\00:26:02.85 Yes. 00:26:02.88\00:26:03.92 He said, effectively Darwinism is dead. 00:26:03.95\00:26:10.16 Lynn Margulis also said that. 00:26:10.19\00:26:11.85 Effectively get it, effectively Darwinism is dead 00:26:11.88\00:26:18.31 but God is alive. 00:26:18.34\00:26:21.31 Dr. Johnson, do you have a personal faith in God? 00:26:21.34\00:26:25.50 I do indeed and one of the faith in God 00:26:25.53\00:26:31.00 didn't come as result of science 00:26:31.03\00:26:34.07 and in fact, I've mentioned before 00:26:34.10\00:26:35.97 that I continued believe in evolution 00:26:36.00\00:26:38.75 because that was science 00:26:38.78\00:26:39.96 and you can't argue with science facts after all. 00:26:39.99\00:26:43.35 And it's interesting because I ask God, 00:26:43.38\00:26:46.62 why did you let me teach these lies for 18 years? 00:26:46.65\00:26:51.73 And what came to me was, 00:26:51.76\00:26:53.62 if I had come to disbelieve in evolution 00:26:53.65\00:26:56.46 because of my Christian faith 00:26:56.49\00:26:59.35 I would have lost my credibility 00:26:59.38\00:27:01.26 with a scientific community. 00:27:01.29\00:27:03.19 Of course, yes. 00:27:03.22\00:27:04.25 But-- but as a scientist... 00:27:04.28\00:27:05.84 As a scientist-- 00:27:05.87\00:27:07.70 when I studied that as a scientist 00:27:07.73\00:27:09.80 and came to the conclusion that this is false 00:27:09.83\00:27:13.03 I can have some credibility 00:27:13.06\00:27:15.31 and I can-- I can with credibility state 00:27:15.34\00:27:17.95 and integrity state to scientist 00:27:17.98\00:27:20.52 I don't believe in evolution because of the science. 00:27:20.55\00:27:23.96 Doctor, it's been an absolute privilege 00:27:23.99\00:27:27.14 to have you on our television program. 00:27:27.17\00:27:29.43 We will long remember this interview. 00:27:29.46\00:27:32.84 Please write to me today John Carter, 00:27:32.87\00:27:35.27 Post Office Box 1900, Thousand Oaks. 00:27:35.30\00:27:37.72 In Australia, write to me at Terrigal. 00:27:37.75\00:27:40.26 If you want to see 00:27:40.29\00:27:41.57 one of Dr. Johnson's recommended videos, 00:27:41.60\00:27:45.35 we're gonna put this up online so you can look at it, 00:27:45.38\00:27:48.44 overwhelming evidence why you can believe in God. 00:27:48.47\00:27:52.76 My message to you today is this, 00:27:52.79\00:27:54.58 believes in the God, who believes in you. 00:27:54.61\00:27:58.75 And remember the words 00:27:58.78\00:28:00.87 of the greatest man who ever lived, 00:28:00.90\00:28:02.49 the man who made the universe. 00:28:02.52\00:28:04.63 Jesus said "You will know the truth, 00:28:04.66\00:28:08.44 and the truth will set you free." 00:28:08.47\00:28:12.36 Thank you for tuning our way today 00:28:12.39\00:28:15.45 and God richly bless you and thank you, Dr. Johnson. 00:28:15.48\00:28:18.20 Thank you for having me. 00:28:18.23\00:28:19.56
