Please. 00:26:37.49\00:26:38.83 Good thing I brought this Bible. 00:26:38.86\00:26:41.06 My favorite text is found in Luke 12:29-31. 00:26:41.10\00:26:46.47 In Chinese. 00:26:46.50\00:26:47.84 Thank you. 00:27:04.32\00:27:06.32 Would you now read it in English for us? 00:27:06.35\00:27:08.09 Absolutely. 00:27:08.12\00:27:09.99 "And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink, 00:27:10.03\00:27:13.60 do not worry about it. 00:27:13.63\00:27:15.20 For the pagan world runs after all such things, 00:27:15.23\00:27:18.00 and your Father knows that you need them. 00:27:18.03\00:27:20.47 But seek his kingdom, 00:27:20.50\00:27:21.84 and these things will be given to you as well." 00:27:21.87\00:27:24.57 How does this text help you? 00:27:24.61\00:27:27.68 Well, about nine years ago, my wife was pregnant 00:27:27.71\00:27:31.75 and I decided to quit my job. 00:27:31.78\00:27:33.92 I want to be a stay home dad, 00:27:33.95\00:27:35.62 you know, to spend time with my family. 00:27:35.65\00:27:37.75 So I took a big leap of faith 00:27:37.79\00:27:40.12 and went out on my own, became freelance 00:27:40.16\00:27:42.46 in all the services that I provide. 00:27:42.49\00:27:44.36 And I just always come back to this verse 00:27:44.39\00:27:46.43 and to remember that not to worry, 00:27:46.46\00:27:48.56 and seek God's kingdom first and His righteousness 00:27:48.60\00:27:50.80 and everything else will be taken care of. 00:27:50.83\00:27:53.57 We're so glad that you're working with us 00:27:53.60\00:27:56.47 on the translation of this series. 00:27:56.50\00:27:58.51 Praise God. And we thank God for you. 00:27:58.54\00:28:00.58 Thank you, Miles. Praise God. 00:28:00.61\00:28:01.94 Thank you. God bless you. 00:28:01.98\00:28:03.31 When you hear stories like this, 00:28:10.49\00:28:12.32 your heart cries out, give me the Bible. 00:28:12.35\00:28:15.52 John Wesley said on one occasion, 00:28:15.56\00:28:17.33 whatever happens he said, "Give me the word of God." 00:28:17.36\00:28:21.46 But I would like you to notice today, 00:28:21.50\00:28:25.10 there is a steady erosion of faith, 00:28:25.13\00:28:30.01 a deadly undermining of our Christian faith. 00:28:30.04\00:28:35.01 Now, remember this, 00:28:35.04\00:28:37.81 speaking to an American audience, 00:28:37.85\00:28:41.28 this is going around the world. 00:28:41.32\00:28:43.35 So let me say hello, to my friends 00:28:43.39\00:28:45.19 in New Zealand, Australia 00:28:45.22\00:28:47.46 and across the great continent of Europe. 00:28:47.49\00:28:50.33 Remember this, my American friends. 00:28:50.36\00:28:53.63 The Bible made America great, not secularism. 00:28:53.66\00:28:59.53 America, which grew until it became the greatest nation 00:28:59.57\00:29:03.67 in the history of the world without dispute, 00:29:03.71\00:29:07.38 was founded by Bible believing, Bible reading Christians. 00:29:07.41\00:29:13.92 And when you meet people today, and they say, 00:29:13.95\00:29:16.99 "It doesn't matter about the Bible, 00:29:17.02\00:29:18.92 we don't need the Bible in America." 00:29:18.95\00:29:23.63 If we should believe them and follow them, 00:29:23.66\00:29:28.26 American would quickly go the way of the Roman Empire, 00:29:28.30\00:29:33.44 and would be destroyed. 00:29:33.47\00:29:35.97 Because this nation, 00:29:36.00\00:29:37.81 unlike almost any other nation in the world, 00:29:37.84\00:29:42.38 was founded by people who believed in the Bible. 00:29:42.41\00:29:46.82 I want you to notice, dear friends, today's trends. 00:29:46.85\00:29:52.55 In the year 2000, 00:29:52.59\00:29:54.12 59 percent of Americans read the Bible occasionally. 00:29:54.16\00:30:00.20 This is down from 73 percent in 1980. 00:30:00.23\00:30:05.27 Only one in seven Americans today 00:30:05.30\00:30:08.00 is involved in a Bible Study Group. 00:30:08.04\00:30:11.17 This is down from one in five in 1990. 00:30:11.21\00:30:15.01 The trend is downwards. 00:30:15.04\00:30:18.05 Nevertheless, Americans, this great nation, 00:30:18.08\00:30:23.39 Americans remain the most biblically literate people 00:30:23.42\00:30:28.72 on the face of the earth. 00:30:28.76\00:30:31.36 People say, "Why is America such a marvelous place?" 00:30:31.39\00:30:36.10 It is because it is built on the Bible. 00:30:36.13\00:30:41.50 And if this nation had not been built on the Bible, 00:30:41.54\00:30:45.67 it would be like some of those countries 00:30:45.71\00:30:47.74 that are filled with crime and poverty. 00:30:47.78\00:30:51.71 That is a fact. 00:30:51.75\00:30:54.65 The Bible has been the source of her strength 00:30:54.68\00:30:59.95 and her prosperity. 00:30:59.99\00:31:01.82 But the trend today is away from the Bible. 00:31:01.86\00:31:05.99 Now in a recent Gallup Poll, 00:31:06.03\00:31:09.03 only 37 percent of Americans could name the gospels. 00:31:09.06\00:31:14.00 Only 42 percent could name five of the Ten Commandments, 00:31:14.04\00:31:19.17 38 percent believe 00:31:19.21\00:31:21.08 the entire Bible was written after Jesus, 00:31:21.11\00:31:25.91 12 percent believe 00:31:25.95\00:31:28.28 that Noah's wife was Joan of Arc. 00:31:28.32\00:31:32.85 Hey, it's only 12 percent. Come on. 00:31:32.89\00:31:37.16 Seventy five percent of us believe, 00:31:37.19\00:31:40.13 the Bible teaches 00:31:40.16\00:31:41.50 that God helps those who help themselves. 00:31:41.53\00:31:44.73 Bible doesn't say this. 00:31:44.77\00:31:49.14 Now wait for this. 00:31:49.17\00:31:51.31 If you are not an American, don't laugh, 00:31:51.34\00:31:56.64 because all the other countries are worst. 00:31:56.68\00:32:02.05 Try asking the British and the Australians 00:32:02.08\00:32:06.55 about their biblical knowledge, 00:32:06.59\00:32:11.56 let alone the Germans and the French. 00:32:11.59\00:32:13.26 There is a relationship between biblical knowledge 00:32:17.77\00:32:21.50 and biblical practice and the prosperity 00:32:21.54\00:32:25.54 and well being of a nation. 00:32:25.57\00:32:28.78 Not only of a nation 00:32:28.81\00:32:30.41 but of an individual and a family. 00:32:30.45\00:32:35.52 Think about this. An individual and a family. 00:32:35.55\00:32:40.59 Do you know any person, think about this, 00:32:40.62\00:32:43.06 do you any person who gave up the church, 00:32:43.09\00:32:47.13 who gave up the daily reading of the Bible, 00:32:47.16\00:32:50.03 who gave up faith in Christ and betted himself. 00:32:50.07\00:32:53.94 Listen to these words. 00:33:01.58\00:33:04.61 I love this country. 00:33:04.65\00:33:06.11 I've lived here now for 25 years. 00:33:06.15\00:33:09.68 I'm perfectly aware of the great truth 00:33:09.72\00:33:12.12 that the Bible made America great. 00:33:12.15\00:33:15.99 Those of you, who poke fun at America, 00:33:16.02\00:33:18.83 ask yourself the question, 00:33:18.86\00:33:20.83 why are people still lined up trying to get into this place. 00:33:20.86\00:33:24.50 Because it's better here than in their country. 00:33:24.53\00:33:28.07 The Bible made Britain great. 00:33:28.10\00:33:32.61 She wasn't called Great Britain for nothing. 00:33:32.64\00:33:37.75 You know why Britain was called Great Britain? 00:33:37.78\00:33:41.15 Because she was Great Britain. 00:33:41.18\00:33:44.65 Because she was a part of a great movement, 00:33:44.69\00:33:48.86 back to God, of Sola Christus, Sola scriptura. 00:33:48.89\00:33:54.16 And that is why she became the birthplace you could say, 00:33:54.20\00:33:59.23 of freedom in our day and age. 00:33:59.27\00:34:01.74 Britain was great 00:34:06.11\00:34:08.68 while she believed in the Bible. 00:34:08.71\00:34:10.88 But as Britain has given up faith in the Bible, 00:34:10.91\00:34:14.88 so her greatness has greatly declined. 00:34:14.92\00:34:20.86 Now what I'm going to say now, you have to forgive me. 00:34:20.89\00:34:24.99 Because you know, I am an Aussie. 00:34:25.03\00:34:30.87 I say this to my Australian friends, 00:34:30.90\00:34:33.20 and many of them are cynical of religion. 00:34:33.23\00:34:38.91 The Bible made Australia a great country. 00:34:38.94\00:34:45.48 They say that for the last 10 years, 00:34:45.51\00:34:47.85 it has had the best economy in the world 00:34:47.88\00:34:52.09 and two of the top cities in the world 00:34:52.12\00:34:54.72 has places to live are Australian cities. 00:34:54.76\00:34:58.83 At least two. 00:34:58.86\00:35:01.86 Why? 00:35:01.90\00:35:03.77 Well, let me tell you folks a little bit of history. 00:35:03.80\00:35:08.00 I just got to get this out, folks. 00:35:08.04\00:35:09.57 It's been building up inside me for so long. 00:35:09.60\00:35:14.24 When did America get freedom from Britain? 00:35:14.28\00:35:17.21 What year was it? 00:35:17.25\00:35:20.52 By the law or the war when? 00:35:20.55\00:35:23.55 Independence, when was it? 00:35:23.59\00:35:26.32 Come on, Americans, tell me. 00:35:26.35\00:35:29.29 Okay, in the 1770s. Okay. 00:35:29.32\00:35:34.66 England had dumped her criminals 00:35:34.70\00:35:37.03 over here in America, 00:35:37.07\00:35:40.94 because this was a British colony. 00:35:40.97\00:35:43.34 At Britain, it had so many convicts 00:35:43.37\00:35:45.81 that she ran out of places for them. 00:35:45.84\00:35:47.48 She sent them to America. 00:35:47.51\00:35:50.01 Now you didn't have to be too bad 00:35:50.05\00:35:51.45 to be sent as a convict to America, 00:35:51.48\00:35:54.78 maybe stealing a loaf of bread to feed your kids. 00:35:54.82\00:35:59.12 Or poor little ladies of 70 or 80 years of age 00:35:59.15\00:36:02.66 that stole an ounce of sugar or an ounce of cheese 00:36:02.69\00:36:07.53 to feed their grandchildren 00:36:07.56\00:36:09.20 and they would sent out as convicts. 00:36:09.23\00:36:10.80 That's how Britain treated people. 00:36:10.83\00:36:14.77 That's what happened because of 1776, 00:36:14.80\00:36:18.84 they didn't have a dumping ground anymore 00:36:18.87\00:36:21.41 and they said, "Glory, we've just discovered Australia." 00:36:21.44\00:36:27.82 It was discovered in 1770 00:36:27.85\00:36:32.72 by the great 1770, Bob, 00:36:32.75\00:36:36.46 it was discovered, don't tell me my history, 00:36:36.49\00:36:39.33 in 1770, it was discovered by Captain James Cook, 00:36:39.36\00:36:44.50 with a little boat. 00:36:44.53\00:36:46.97 And then the British said, 00:36:47.00\00:36:48.50 where are we going to send the refused of our society? 00:36:48.54\00:36:53.94 Where are going to send the scum of our society? 00:36:53.98\00:36:57.31 Do you know where they sent them to? 00:36:57.35\00:36:58.68 They said we can't send them any more to America, 00:36:58.71\00:37:01.68 'cause it's no longer our colony, 00:37:01.72\00:37:03.35 we're gonna send them to a place 00:37:03.39\00:37:05.99 where no body will want to go. 00:37:06.02\00:37:09.92 But which proved to be a lot better than the mother land, 00:37:09.96\00:37:13.29 sorry to tell my English friends there. 00:37:13.33\00:37:15.30 They sent them to Australia. 00:37:15.33\00:37:18.90 Do you know how they came out there, 00:37:18.93\00:37:20.44 now these are some-- these are cartoons? 00:37:20.47\00:37:23.54 These are my ancestors. Yeah. 00:37:23.57\00:37:27.41 You know, what we had to do is, some of these pictures, 00:37:27.44\00:37:30.58 we had to put them in photo shop 00:37:30.61\00:37:32.61 to make them sort of half decent. 00:37:32.65\00:37:35.68 These are my ancestors. 00:37:35.72\00:37:37.49 I do not have a lot of sympathy for people who come to me 00:37:37.52\00:37:41.16 and they say, "Oh, I've had such a bad time." 00:37:41.19\00:37:44.93 If you only knew what happened to my ancestors. 00:37:44.96\00:37:48.36 Hey, don't tell me that, 00:37:48.40\00:37:49.73 my ancestors most likely were convicts. 00:37:49.76\00:37:52.80 Maybe, yours too. 00:37:55.90\00:37:58.01 Let me tell you folks something. 00:37:58.04\00:38:00.51 Australia had one redeeming feature. 00:38:00.54\00:38:03.08 When they sent out the convict ships, 00:38:03.11\00:38:04.88 and hundreds would die in the passage, 00:38:04.91\00:38:07.92 there was terrible immorality and drunkenness. 00:38:07.95\00:38:11.25 The soldiers were often worse than the convicts. 00:38:11.29\00:38:15.42 They had a big fight in Australia. 00:38:15.46\00:38:17.03 It was called the Rum Rebellion, 00:38:17.06\00:38:19.49 because that was the currency, Rum. 00:38:19.53\00:38:22.86 What a degraded society, but do you know 00:38:22.90\00:38:25.40 who came with the convicts on those ships? 00:38:25.43\00:38:28.20 Church of England chaplains. 00:38:28.24\00:38:31.11 And every day between the floggings, 00:38:31.14\00:38:34.78 the inhumanity to the convicts was dreadful. 00:38:34.81\00:38:39.98 Mother England was not very good to her children. 00:38:40.02\00:38:43.39 You know that. The Americans know that. 00:38:43.42\00:38:45.95 And in between the floggings, 00:38:45.99\00:38:48.09 the chaplains would read to the convicts 00:38:48.12\00:38:50.89 out of the word of God, and the book of common prayer, 00:38:50.93\00:38:55.00 and would teach them praise. 00:38:55.03\00:38:58.97 And Australia came out of this cesspool of iniquity 00:38:59.00\00:39:05.54 and degradation where today it is a marvelous place. 00:39:05.57\00:39:12.38 The convicts did not make Australia a great place. 00:39:12.41\00:39:16.05 It was the word of God in the hands of the convicts. 00:39:16.08\00:39:21.69 When I was a boy, and things have changed in Australia. 00:39:21.72\00:39:24.86 And as Australia gets away from the word of God, 00:39:24.89\00:39:27.90 I want to tell you something, her path is downwards. 00:39:27.93\00:39:31.67 But when I was a boy, growing up in Australia, 00:39:34.80\00:39:37.31 I was taught the Bible. 00:39:37.34\00:39:39.74 And when I went to State school, 00:39:39.77\00:39:42.24 we had a time once a week 00:39:42.28\00:39:44.38 where the ministers of various denominations 00:39:44.41\00:39:46.92 would come and we were trained in the scriptures 00:39:46.95\00:39:50.69 in a State school. 00:39:50.72\00:39:54.42 The government said, 00:39:54.46\00:39:55.79 if we don't teach people the Bible, 00:39:55.82\00:39:57.99 well, they said, we can't do it 00:39:58.03\00:39:59.56 because of the separation of church and state 00:39:59.59\00:40:01.80 but we're gonna get the ministers, 00:40:01.83\00:40:03.23 the Baptists and the Adventists and Catholic priests 00:40:03.26\00:40:06.27 and they had to come along and I was trained in the Bible. 00:40:06.30\00:40:11.07 I'll never forget it. 00:40:11.11\00:40:13.81 I can remember starting a day in a school, 00:40:13.84\00:40:16.98 State school, in Australia, 00:40:17.01\00:40:19.21 where Mr. Conroy, the principle, 00:40:19.25\00:40:21.38 went to the black board and he wrote up a text. 00:40:21.42\00:40:24.99 He said, we're gonna start with a text. 00:40:25.02\00:40:27.72 "Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are pure, 00:40:27.76\00:40:31.73 whatsoever things are holy." 00:40:31.76\00:40:34.36 These texts got into my mind 00:40:34.40\00:40:37.87 and I was brought up in a society 00:40:37.90\00:40:40.44 that believed in God and believed in the Bible 00:40:40.47\00:40:43.97 and therefore, I was taught as a child, 00:40:44.01\00:40:47.34 it was a dreadful thing to steal. 00:40:47.38\00:40:51.98 A person who stole, 00:40:52.01\00:40:54.52 it is so dreadful or a person who told lies. 00:40:54.55\00:40:59.35 The school I went to when kids were caught telling lies, 00:40:59.39\00:41:03.69 they had their mouths washed out with soapy water. 00:41:03.73\00:41:07.66 Now today, you know, there'll be court cases, 00:41:07.70\00:41:10.13 it did the kids a lot of good. 00:41:10.17\00:41:14.97 I remember the Cole's Funny Book 00:41:15.00\00:41:17.41 and it showed a great big hand, big hand 00:41:17.44\00:41:21.64 and it said, the "Spankaphone." 00:41:21.68\00:41:25.08 First used by Mrs. Adam Smith 00:41:25.11\00:41:28.15 and used successfully ever since. 00:41:28.18\00:41:34.16 The people got their principles from the Bible. 00:41:34.19\00:41:37.56 And I want you to know this. 00:41:37.59\00:41:39.09 When you live in a Bible believing, 00:41:39.13\00:41:42.60 God fearing community, you're not gonna have crime, 00:41:42.63\00:41:46.63 and you're not gonna have evil. 00:41:46.67\00:41:49.70 Listen. This is a fact. 00:41:49.74\00:41:53.84 Here it is, politically uncorrect, it's a fact. 00:41:53.88\00:41:58.71 The most prosperous countries, 00:41:58.75\00:42:02.22 where women as treated as equal citizens. 00:42:02.25\00:42:08.52 That's how you can judge a country. 00:42:08.56\00:42:10.86 How they treat the women. 00:42:10.89\00:42:14.66 But if the women are out in the fields 00:42:14.70\00:42:16.77 while the men are home, drinking bear 00:42:16.80\00:42:19.23 and the women are out bare feet, 00:42:19.27\00:42:21.44 you got a degraded society. 00:42:21.47\00:42:24.84 And any society that doesn't treat women 00:42:24.87\00:42:28.24 with an equality and with respect, 00:42:28.28\00:42:30.95 is a degraded society. 00:42:30.98\00:42:33.85 Because the Bible says, men and women are equal. 00:42:33.88\00:42:40.69 And as you know, the first country 00:42:40.72\00:42:43.36 that gave women the right to vote 00:42:43.39\00:42:45.79 was New Zealand, 00:42:45.83\00:42:48.33 followed a few weeks later by Australia. 00:42:48.36\00:42:51.03 Listen, the most prosperous countries 00:42:55.57\00:42:57.51 where women is treated as equal citizens, 00:42:57.54\00:43:00.11 where freedom is celebrated, 00:43:00.14\00:43:02.64 where the people are clean and healthy, 00:43:02.68\00:43:05.81 where part of or the result of a great spiritual revival 00:43:05.85\00:43:11.82 that swept the world. 00:43:11.85\00:43:13.79 I'm thinking of the days of Martin Luther, 00:43:13.82\00:43:16.86 the other great preachers of the Bible. 00:43:16.89\00:43:19.43 I'm talking about the reformation. 00:43:19.46\00:43:23.97 You say, "Are you sure?" Yeah, 'cause I travel. 00:43:24.00\00:43:27.10 USA News in World Report 00:43:27.14\00:43:29.17 recently put out a map of the world for businessmen. 00:43:29.20\00:43:34.64 And it colored the countries that believed in the Bible 00:43:34.68\00:43:37.88 by coincidence. 00:43:37.91\00:43:40.85 The most honest countries, the cleanest countries, 00:43:40.88\00:43:44.55 they were green. 00:43:44.59\00:43:46.65 And the countries that were corrupt were red 00:43:46.69\00:43:50.39 and the countries that you couldn't even read 00:43:50.43\00:43:52.99 because of their corruption being so high, 00:43:53.03\00:43:55.00 it was just white. 00:43:55.03\00:43:57.87 But the countries that are green, 00:43:57.90\00:44:01.00 well, there's Canada, there's the United States 00:44:01.04\00:44:04.27 and I won't go through the rest 00:44:04.31\00:44:05.64 'cause I don't want go embarrass you 00:44:05.67\00:44:07.58 or anybody watching the program. 00:44:07.61\00:44:09.48 But the countries that achieved the greatest freedom, 00:44:09.51\00:44:13.98 the greatest respect for women, the greatest work ethic, 00:44:14.02\00:44:19.69 are the countries that believe the Bible. 00:44:19.72\00:44:24.89 Now let me tell you, folks something, 00:44:24.93\00:44:26.36 so this will sink down into your ears 00:44:26.39\00:44:28.83 and you won't forget it. 00:44:28.86\00:44:30.77 My travels. 00:44:30.80\00:44:32.87 I've gone to countries 00:44:32.90\00:44:34.64 where women are washing their clothes in the gutters. 00:44:34.67\00:44:39.67 You know why? 00:44:39.71\00:44:41.41 When I walked around those countries 00:44:41.44\00:44:43.65 I've gone to the great church that banned the Bible. 00:44:43.68\00:44:48.98 The poor women who are washing their clothes 00:44:49.02\00:44:51.39 in the gutters have never read a Bible. 00:44:51.42\00:44:56.49 Because the church didn't want them to. 00:44:56.52\00:45:00.66 I've gone to a land of a million gods. 00:45:00.70\00:45:04.63 I've seen indescribable, I've seen it, I've smelt it. 00:45:04.67\00:45:10.71 Filth, poverty, degradation of women, 00:45:10.74\00:45:15.64 a terrible cast system, 00:45:15.68\00:45:19.28 a nation where vast numbers of little baby girls 00:45:19.31\00:45:24.15 are murdered because they are girls. 00:45:24.19\00:45:29.32 Where babies are deformed or even cockroaches 00:45:29.36\00:45:35.26 are strapped to their eyeballs, to eat out their eyeballs. 00:45:35.30\00:45:40.27 So the parents can use them as beggars 00:45:40.30\00:45:44.87 because there is no Sola Cristus, 00:45:44.91\00:45:47.94 no Sola Scriptura, no. 00:45:47.98\00:45:51.81 Heathenism. 00:45:51.85\00:45:53.18 Don't you dare tell me that all religions are the same. 00:45:53.21\00:45:59.12 They are not. 00:45:59.15\00:46:01.89 Only the religion that comes from God can lead to God. 00:46:01.92\00:46:05.59 The rest will lead you down to the gates of hell. 00:46:05.63\00:46:09.66 I've been, 00:46:09.70\00:46:11.03 I guess, I'm an expert on the Soviet Union. 00:46:11.07\00:46:12.63 I've been there 40 times. 00:46:12.67\00:46:15.50 They carried out a great experiment of atheism. 00:46:15.54\00:46:18.97 "Ban the Bibles." That was their cry. 00:46:19.01\00:46:23.04 Why would the Soviets ban the Bible? 00:46:23.08\00:46:25.11 Because the Bible teaches there is a God. 00:46:25.15\00:46:27.65 And every soul is important. 00:46:27.68\00:46:29.35 They put to death 15 to 17 million innocent people. 00:46:29.38\00:46:35.82 Don't come and boast to me about your atheism. 00:46:35.86\00:46:39.13 I've got people who come to me and say, 00:46:39.16\00:46:40.70 "I'm proud to be an atheist." 00:46:40.73\00:46:42.13 I wouldn't be if I saw these pictures. 00:46:42.16\00:46:47.27 Fifteen million people put to death. 00:46:47.30\00:46:51.27 Why? Because the Soviets said it's a dangerous book. 00:46:51.31\00:46:55.24 Yes, it is. It is dangerous to dictators. 00:46:55.28\00:46:59.15 What happened to the Soviet Union? 00:47:02.35\00:47:03.79 It collapsed. 00:47:03.82\00:47:05.32 Because of poverty, disease and ignorance. 00:47:05.35\00:47:09.49 I've seen the evidence. 00:47:09.52\00:47:11.56 Long ago, with my team, I went through a village 00:47:11.59\00:47:14.73 between Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod 00:47:14.76\00:47:20.37 and the name of the village poverty stricken place. 00:47:20.40\00:47:25.07 Nobody seemed to have a job. Everybody seemed to be drunk. 00:47:25.11\00:47:30.05 It was called "No Grace of God here" village. 00:47:30.08\00:47:33.95 That's what it's called. 00:47:33.98\00:47:35.55 I said to our team, what's the name of the place? 00:47:35.58\00:47:37.62 "No Grace of God here" village. 00:47:37.65\00:47:41.49 Poverty. 00:47:41.52\00:47:44.56 The Bible is hated by every repressive regime, 00:47:44.59\00:47:48.46 political, or religious. 00:47:48.50\00:47:52.50 Why? Because it is the book of liberty. 00:47:52.53\00:47:57.97 I say to my American friends, 00:47:58.01\00:48:00.18 the United States government does not give you liberty. 00:48:00.21\00:48:03.58 That's a pagan idea. 00:48:03.61\00:48:05.61 The Bible gives us liberty. 00:48:05.65\00:48:09.68 The Bible gives us liberty. Christ gives us liberty. 00:48:09.72\00:48:13.32 Thank God, the United States government 00:48:13.36\00:48:15.96 recognizes the divine right that God has given to us. 00:48:15.99\00:48:22.13 I told the governor of Nizhny Novgorod, 00:48:22.16\00:48:24.27 get that out of your head that you as a Russian leader 00:48:24.30\00:48:27.94 are giving the Russians liberty, 00:48:27.97\00:48:29.64 God gave it to them. 00:48:29.67\00:48:31.57 You need to recognize it. This is the book of freedom. 00:48:31.61\00:48:36.58 This is the book of liberty. 00:48:36.61\00:48:38.88 This is the book that will lift up society. 00:48:38.91\00:48:43.49 Therefore, what shall we do? 00:48:43.52\00:48:45.99 I say to you, believe in God 00:48:49.06\00:48:52.63 and believe in the Christ of the Bible. 00:48:52.66\00:48:55.46 Come over here to Hebrews 4:12. 00:48:55.50\00:48:59.63 Hebrews 4:12. 00:48:59.67\00:49:06.61 We come back to where we started. 00:49:06.64\00:49:10.15 "For the word of God is living and powerful." 00:49:10.18\00:49:13.78 King James Version. 00:49:13.82\00:49:15.95 "Sharper than any double-edged sword, 00:49:15.98\00:49:19.05 it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, 00:49:19.09\00:49:22.86 joints and marrow, 00:49:22.89\00:49:24.76 it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." 00:49:24.79\00:49:30.73 Let this powerful and living word 00:49:30.77\00:49:34.50 abide in your hearts. 00:49:34.54\00:49:36.84 This is the source of our strength, 00:49:36.87\00:49:40.18 our peace, our health and our prosperity. 00:49:40.21\00:49:44.91 Moreover, it is the source of our salvation 00:49:44.95\00:49:49.82 and as an old evangelist called into pastor a church, 00:49:49.85\00:49:55.46 after he retired is want to say, 00:49:55.49\00:50:00.50 read your Bible every day. 00:50:00.53\00:50:06.07 "Give me the Bible, star of gladness gleaming, 00:50:06.10\00:50:11.24 to cheer the wanderer lone and tempest tossed, 00:50:11.27\00:50:15.34 No storm can hide that radiance peaceful beaming, 00:50:15.38\00:50:19.71 Since Jesus came to seek and save the lost. 00:50:19.75\00:50:24.82 Give me the Bible, holy message shining, 00:50:24.85\00:50:31.66 Thy light shall guide me in the narrow way, 00:50:31.69\00:50:36.26 Precept and promise, law and love combining, 00:50:36.30\00:50:43.20 Till night shall vanish in eternal day." 00:50:43.24\00:50:48.48 I say it 00:50:48.51\00:50:52.48 in the name of Him who sent me to preach. 00:50:52.51\00:50:56.52 If you are not daily reading the Bible... 00:50:56.55\00:50:59.05 you are going the way of all flesh 00:51:03.83\00:51:05.79 and it is a way of darkness and despair. 00:51:05.83\00:51:09.86 I say to you, my American friends, 00:51:09.90\00:51:13.97 return to the roots. 00:51:14.00\00:51:16.50 Go back to the days of the puritan fathers 00:51:16.54\00:51:21.14 who forged a nation 00:51:21.18\00:51:23.55 out of the crucible of suffering... 00:51:23.58\00:51:26.15 and become again a great people, 00:51:29.22\00:51:36.22 because you are people of the book. 00:51:36.26\00:51:41.23 Amen.
