for fifteen years,

But as soon as I
got the Holy Spirit,

realized that Christ died,

and sent this gift
for me to heal with.

Spirit into my life.

My recovery became
easy, God yoked up with me.

The Holy Spirit gave
me wisdom to know where to

start as far as my healing.

the drugs, or the lying,

manipulation as a symptom.

He took me back
to the core issue,

or trust as a little kid.

has been amazing,

And I remember
thinking, should I go to another

twelve-step group?

Should I get another book?

Should I, what should
I do, because I'm tired,

And I'm tired and I
don't want to fight so hard.

And I hear God
constantly saying,

this battle is not even yours.

It's not even yours, and
I tried to figure out what

does that mean?
What does that mean?

So little by little,
God starts directing me to

looking at the
gift of the Holy Spirit.

And I don't know
why I read all the text,

I know what it says.

I know we are
supposed to pray for

that, and all
that kind of stuff.

And so it now, I'm in
a Christian bookstore.

and I looked up
from looking at some CDs,

oil right on the shelf.

and so I bought it for $4.95.

I had it with me in case
I found somebody that would

anoint me, I'd say
poof, I have some oil.

And so I couldn't find anyone,

and I'm telling you months.

I finally went
into the bathroom,

before trip to
Thailand to work with kids

sold into the sex industry.

I went into the
bathroom and I said God,

if I could find anyone else,

I would have them anoint me,

but I can't so I'm
going to anoint myself.

And I just start
crying and put the oil on my
00:05:19.85\00:05:22.15
head, and on my hands.

I asked God to honor
that, and I know He did.

But for a sanguine
personality like me,

you know, I'm kind of, I
want someone else to do it.

So, I
remembered my friend, Mark,

and I know that he has
this incredible worship

band, and he's a singer.

He's an incredible man of God,

and so I went into his church,

and I said Mark
after the service,

would you pray for
me, for the Holy Spirit.

He teared up and he said yeah,

and he got other people.

And they prayed, and I
prayed for a long time.

I am going to have him

sing something,
because he's just amazing.

And he is just
sort of quietly singing.

I started weeping
because I felt like this was God

and it was so incredible.

But my life has
changed drastically since then,

with the baptism
of the Holy Spirit,

realization that God never meant

for us to work so hard.

God never meant for
us to battle through our

addictions and fight
through this kind of stuff.

God says, let me pour into you,

I don't want you to
fight, its my fight,

I'll do it for you.

I want you to live
a life full of joy,

a joy, in grace, figuring
out who you are in Christ

standing up in what ever
ministry I call you to and

what ever thing I
call you to I want so pour

health into you, not
that you fight your addictions
