00:01 Hi, I'm Yvonne Shelton with your COVID Care Tip
00:03 for today. 00:04 Everyone tells us to clean and disinfect 00:06 what's the difference? 00:08 Cleaning removes germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces 00:11 or objects. Soap or detergent physically removes germs 00:15 from surfaces, but doesn't necessarily kill them. 00:18 It lowers their numbers and risk of infections spreading. 00:22 When cleaning wear disposable gloves, 00:25 use soap and water and often clean your frequently touched 00:28 surfaces like tables, door knobs, light switches, 00:31 countertops, handles, etc. 00:33 Disinfecting uses chemicals to kill germs on surfaces 00:37 and objects. It doesn't necessarily clean the surfaces 00:41 but it kills the germs. When disinfecting, 00:43 first clean the area with soap and water, then disinfect. 00:47 Always wear gloves when disinfecting and have good 00:50 ventilation in the area. 00:52 Remember, you're not alone, cast your cares upon Jesus 00:56 because He cares for "YOU." |
