Certainly, it was to warn

death could be there.

It wasn't just a
little scrape, or maybe,

but it was a shipwreck,
and sometimes thousands,

hundreds of
thousands of lives were lost,

you know, over a
year's time, or, you know,

a month's time, stormy time,
00:09:08.48\00:09:10.58
because they could not see

and they were not warned
that land was right upon them.

And I want you to take
all this serious spiritually

today along with me.

The first one was controlled
by fires, as we will know and,

you know, that's, that was
nice as always on a high place,

right, for people to see
because it will shine out

for to warn the others.

And over time,

we find that these
signals just wasn't sufficient.

the Bible tells us

It says as
knowledge will increase,

right, men will run to and fro.

And so as knowledge increase,

there was better ways
to put up to warn them many

nautical miles
out into the oceans,

so that they did not
run into all these snags,

all of these rocks
and all the danger.

Like us spiritually today,
be careful because the enemy

has a rock out there for you.

He has a snag out there for you,

and he has one for me.

Of course in about
1820, that goes back quite

a ways that
things really changed,

and it was really brighter
light, shine out further,

safety, but still
yet there was shipwrecks.

So I'm wondering today we
pray that you are not making

a shipwreck of your life.

Where is that lighthouse?

Do you have a lighthouse?

What is the lighthouse?

You know, could it be Jesus?

And could it be the Word of God?

Is that still shining today?

You know, I believe
it's still shining today.

It's shining brightly,

but many of us fail to see
it because we have blinders on.

Our mind is close to
what's going on in the world,

because we don't want to
understand what's happening.

We don't want to make
any changes in our life.

We want to profess
that we are a Christian.

Remember, you call
yourself a Christian,

I call myself a Christian.

That means simple
language, is to be Christ like,

to be Christ like.

If we're not Christ like
in our actions and our talk

and our deeds and so on,
we're really none of His.

If we're not with Him,

words have meaning for today

and the society
that we are living in,

because it tells of
the struggles that many

of us are going through in life.

It tells of the dangers that
approach us each and every day.

And sometimes we just
don't see clear enough.

And sometimes we fall
into these little snares,

we make a shipwreck of
our faith because we make

wrong choices and decision

is because we were
not seeing clear enough.

We need more light,

and many times
that light did not

come because we
didn't ask for it,

and we weren't
looking for it and we crashed.

So most of us can
look back in our life,

and we say at one time
or the other we crashed.

We crashed in our
experience with Christ.

It doesn't make us happy,

but I think it's good to

person to asking that question?

'Cause remember,

lighthouse on the hilltop.

These are fantastic words,
and I think that the principle

back to that stormy night,

and everybody's had it.

We've had stormy nights.

But would just in
time, I saw the light,

old light from
that old lighthouse

that stands up on the hill.
