newborn baby in a manger?

Well, we can certainly glean
from reading the scriptures

that it was not a life
of ease, or total peace.

In fact, it is
difficult for most of us

to even wrap our
minds around the fact
00:01:06.63\00:01:09.56
that King Herod would
actually come to the point
00:01:09.60\00:01:12.63
of enforcing an official edict
00:01:12.67\00:01:14.97
to have all the baby boys
two and under to be slain,
00:01:15.00\00:01:18.91
in order to kill
this precious child
00:01:18.94\00:01:21.84
from heaven.

And we know that His
own people as a whole

would come to
ultimately reject Him

and accused Him of crimes
that He had not committed,

in order to end His
life at a very young age

due to the religious
rulers' angry rage of jealousy.

The people in this
very world that He,

Christ Jesus, gave life
to during the creation week,

cruelly took His
life as a common criminal

in a way that again is
difficult for any of us

to wrap our minds around.

The world was
indeed in darkness,

spiritual
darkness and moral decay.

Laws were being passed against
sanctity of human life itself.

that we just don't appreciate.

Here He is, our Creator,
Redeemer, our Sustainer,

coming into this world,

and yet the world what He
was the light of the world,

He's a life of
the world and what?

And the world
just didn't know it.

Right now and
what we're living in,

this is a subject that pertains

to what's going
on in the world today

that we've been
talking about for weeks on end.

You know, at the time
of the birth of Christ,

the nation was struggling.

If we just go back a little bit

and think about at
the birth of Jesus Christ,

the nation was struggling
just like it is today.

It had external
problems and internal problems.

The office of the high
priest was secured by fraud,

and bribery, and even murder.

The priesthood
had become corrupt.

Now, there's some
similarities there.

And we just need
to be able to focus

in on some of those things

in the same time.

You know, we're talking
about the high priest here

The people were
heavily taxed by the Romans.

You feel that
today, too, don't you?

The state of affairs
caused widespread discontent,

outbreaks,

we would call
them protest, riots.

It was frequent at
the time of Christ,

there was greed,
there was violence,

there was distrust,

lack of spiritual
commitment, lack of interest.

People were indifferent,
does it sound like today?

It simply caused the nation
to simply want to give up.

I've heard people
talking about already

no longer than we've
been in this pandemic.

They're saying,

"We've had enough,"

they've cried uncle.

Well, we don't we know if
we can take anymore or not,

we want it to end.

We want it, we
want to see something,

we want to see the
light at the tunnel.

And so they're ready
to throw in the towel.

They're ready to give up.

They're ready to just sign
away as it were their life.

rulers and the leaders

were thirsty for power.

They wanted to
set in high positions.

That was simply
the rule of the day.

We find that
today there are people

who are selling their
soul for high position.

And that's not
just in the world,

that's in the church.

Finagling going on.

Shenanigans being pulled.

Things that are happening

to blow our mind to say,

"Surely this cannot
happen in the House of God."

People are thirsty for power.

Darkness shadowed,

Satan cast that
dark shadow on this world

and it become again
darker and darker and deeper.

Interesting thought here
as the enemy gets involved,

involved in everything

that's going on
in the world today.

The people that God had
called as His representatives,

which were certainly

going on in the churches today.

to do something special

as he called the Jews out.

The order of the day was
corrupt and murder, loss.

The bodies of human beings,

our bodies were made

for the indwelling
of the Holy Spirit.

Isn't that right?

That's what the Bible

Bibles says, we are the what?

"We are His temple,

He wants to
dwell in this temple,"

because you are
bought with a what?

"You're bought with a price,"

therefore you
glorify God, where?

In your bodies.

The Holy Spirit
wants to dwell in you.

That temple has to be made ready
