Revealing future
events is no doubt

God's special way of enabling us

not to be deceived
during our earthly journey.

We are in a
spiritual warfare of which we,

I truly believe we
just really don't grasp

I'm going to give you a
couple passages of scripture.

Now, I'm not trying
to go into the study of,

you know, Spirit of Prophecy.

But I want to
look at how prophets,

how God gives prophets messages,

and they give
it to God's people.

But notice, it is a
gift that's going to be

in operation in the church.

And it's going
to be in operation

until Jesus shall come.

So it's good for us today.

Now, what we're
talking about is what?

God gave gifts,
right, to the church.

God gave gifts.

Now, notice some of these gifts.

The gifts where
He gave to apostles,

and then He gave what?

Prophets would be in the church
where they would be prophesying

or they would be
because God gives gifts, right,

messages to the prophets,

the prophets
write them in the book.

We'll see that in a
moment. Two, why did He give it?

He gave it "For the
perfecting of the saints,

for the work of the ministry,
00:09:20.46\00:09:22.86
for the edifying of
the body of Christ."

Verse 13, "Till we all come
into the unity of the faith,

and of the
knowledge of the Son of God,

unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature
of the fullness of Christ."

All this says is God gave gifts.

He gave gifts to the church,

and these gifts are going
to be in operation until what?

Until Jesus comes.

So those who say, "Well,
we don't need all of these."

It's interesting, the
only gift I've seen people

try to as it were removed
would be the one of prophet.

They all like to, everybody's
like, "Oh, we love apostles.

We love evangelists,
and pastors, and teachers,

and all these other gifts,
but when it comes to prophets

or prophesying,
or things that God
00:10:03.23\00:10:05.40
wants to show us
00:10:05.43\00:10:07.04
things is going to
happen into the future.

Sometime we fights that
00:10:09.04\00:10:10.47
is the devil
wants us to fight that
00:10:10.51\00:10:12.34
because he
doesn't want us to know
00:10:12.37\00:10:13.71
what soon to take place.

Let me give you
another quick in 1 Corinthians,

just turn back there a
couple of chapters there.

Chapter 12 simply says

the same thing
here, Paul writing.

And notice what he says there
in 1 Corinthians 12:27 and 28.

The Bible said, verse 27,
"Now ye are the body of," What?

"You're the body of Christ,
and members in particular."

So right quick
Paul talking about,

your bodies, you
belong to Christ.

And then he says,

he goes right
into and say, verse 28.

And God hath set all or some?

Somebody say
some, I'll get happy.

"God has set some in
the church, first apostle,
00:10:51.95\00:10:56.42
secondarily," he's done what?
00:10:56.45\00:10:58.65
"prophets, thirdly teachers,
and after that miracles,
00:10:58.69\00:11:02.32
then gifts in
healings, and helps,
00:11:02.36\00:11:04.13
and governments,
diversities of tongue
00:11:04.16\00:11:06.03
and so on and so forth."

The point established is,

God has set in the
church these gifts.

And these gifts
are for us to use.

And God wants us
to do as messages

come from the Holy Spirit
as the prophets that were,

they would write
them down in a book.

these gifts are good,

and they're going
to be in operation,

as we mentioned,

If we don't understand the ABCs,

to read is for instance,

Babylon,
Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome,

or we won't understand to say
the Book of Daniel Chapter 7,

when it talks about these beasts

and then it talks about lions
00:11:54.84\00:11:56.18
and it talks
about one having wings,

talks about a bear
00:11:57.98\00:11:59.68
and is got three
ribs in its mouth.

Then you have a
leopard that has what?

Four heads on it
and wings, you know.

You wouldn't be
able to understand that

unless we get into the,
to the elementary stages

you might call
it or the way that

God has set it up in His Word,

so that we can understand these.

Remember, we never
to put on some kind of,

well, we've read these things

and we think
that maybe it means.

Bible, and we're talking about,

about symbols being used.

God will always give us
the answer, isn't that right?

Why?

we must identify the power,

in the throne room of God,

he's going to do what?

He's going to take over.
He's going to be like God.

think to change what?

Times and laws.

He's persecuting,
kills God's people.

He helps us as
were behind the scene

to pass Sunday laws.

You see, we need to make sure

we understand who
this little horn power is.

If we understand it,

then it'll be
easier for us to accept

because then we can look
at signs of the times going on

and say, you know what?

This does apply.

Bible has said it,
history has said it,

and what's going on in the world

it, and we can accept it better.

at least in my opinion,

book of Daniel and Revelation.

right, Bible points out.

guilty of trying to change

God's truth into a lie.

I might say this,
God does not play games.

We might play games.

We might try to play
church, God never does.

God is serious about
what He's revealed to us

in the historical
aspect of the Bible

that looked at the prophecy.

God always wants us to
know in advance, does He not?

Things that are going to happen

and things are
going to take place.

And He always gives sufficient,
we're going to learn as we go.

He gives sufficient information,

so that we can
make a proper decision,

Because we're going
to be held accountable.

information, isn't that right?

He's given you a
brain, you can decipher,

has been given as we study

Daniel and Revelation
has been brought about

because there are men and women

they were will to be torn apart

by lions, they
burned at the stake.

They gave their
life for the truth.

And sometimes we
can't even find time

to come to church or
to study the Word of God.

We can't find time to pray.

We can't find time
to help anybody else,

to be a
blessing to someone else.

And yet, these folks gave

their very life
for the true sake.

And it's going to boil
down to that in these last days.

God's looking for a
people who will be willing

to give their
lives for the truth.

So to me, that means

that you're going to
have to love the truth.

Does that make sense?

If we don't love it, pray,

because He already knows

Tell Him say, I
don't love the truth,

but I know that I need to
because the Bible says so.
