that the kingdom of heaven

of which five are
wise and five are foolish.

When the bridegroom
arrived, only five wise virgins,

who had taken
the necessary steps

to fill their lamps with oil

were allowed into the
marriage with the bridegroom
00:01:05.69\00:01:08.16
and the door was
shut behind them.

After the foolish virgins
returned from buying their oil

at the last minute,
they went and they knocked.

And they asked if
they could be allowed

into the marriage,
but it was too late.

Their probation had ended,

the bridegroom said that
he did not even know them.

Consequently, Matthew 25

ends with these
solemn words of warning,

it's for all of us in verse 13.

It reads,

"Watch therefore for ye know
neither the day nor the hour,

wherein the Son of man cometh."

And may I also add,

we do not know

that our probationary
time may end in this world,

and our door of salvation
will close either for us

in a saving relationship
with our Lord and Savior

or we may be shut
out of heaven forever.

Our probationary
time, friends, is right now.

we're preparing along the way.

There would be a little delay.

It represents a dark period
in earth's history, doesn't it?

Darkest and he said
that's when he said,

that when Jesus
came to this earth

and He walked this earth,

it was one of the darkest period

at that point to
that point in time

and no one even knew about it.

And what happens
when there's a delay,

the superficial
Christians will run out of oil.

is a little time of trouble

what's happening on the news

and everything is
going on in the world today.

believe this is truth,

we're in a tarrying time,

that God wants to pour

His Spirit out,

He's given
message after message.

He's showing
things in this world

seen in my lifetime.

That tells me that He's
coming, things are happening.

We can follow this
steady stream of events

that are going in prophecy

that can lead us to know

that we need to be
wide awake right now,

not nodding off and
not in a sleepy state.

You know, at the close,

I want to start more

and I want to think about this.

At the close of the
great papal persecution,

Jesus said something.

This will help us to understand,

at the close of
the papal persecution.

Now, what we need to
do is go back and say,

"Well, I don't
understand when they close."

We realized,

and they're
getting off the subject.

But when we talk about the time

when you hear Adventists
talk about the time of the end,

we refer to and
there's a lot to go

but you can go back way to 1798,

at 1798 began
the time of the end.

Why?

Because the 1,260
day year prophecy ended

persecution, the Dark Ages

Was taken into captivity

did not go all

Several years prior to
that, it began to ease off

because there were reformation
and changes taking place.

We know that with
the reformers, don't we?

Still was persecution a lot,

but not like it
was during the dark,

dark part of the ages,
