we read about the ten virgins,

five of which are
referred to as wise
00:00:52.98\00:00:55.22
while the other five
are said to be foolish.
00:00:55.25\00:00:57.65
All ten are
part of God's Church.
00:00:57.69\00:01:00.12
All ten have an opportunity
00:01:00.16\00:01:01.99
to know and to
learn what truth is.
00:01:02.02\00:01:04.36
All ten believe in the
coming of the bridegroom
00:01:04.39\00:01:06.86
and expect to be His bride,
00:01:06.90\00:01:08.96
but only five are
filling their lamps with oil.
00:01:09.00\00:01:11.70
Only five are prepared,
00:01:11.73\00:01:13.80
are filled with
the Spirit of God.

Only five keep
their lamps trimmed

and burning during
the bridegroom's delay,

while everyone
grows weary in waiting.

represent all of us,

God's people, His
church, but sadly,

properly preparing

tells about the coming of Jesus

preparation in order to meet Him

"While the bridegroom," what?

"Tarried," or delayed,
"they all slumbered and slept."

Slumbered is
different than slept here,

slumbered in the Greek
says they begin to nod.

You ever know someone
that's a little bit sleepy

and they're
sitting in, oh, in the pew,

and all of a sudden their
head gives it this business.

The head begins to nod.

That means they're
losing consciousness,

Things that are around them,

And so, this gives
the connotation of here

to fall asleep or to be asleep.

the Adventist missed it in 1844.

It wasn't Adventist, it was

Was he Baptist or Methodist?

Seventh-day Adventists

We have to realize that

We have our
relationship with Christ,

we must stand in the knowledge

During this midnight
cry, there was a cry,
