when we hear these words

minds immediately retreat back

to the story of Aaron's
two sons Nadab and Abihu.

Let's read a bit of their story

as we're told in the
book Temperance on page 43

"Aaron's sons
took the common fire
00:01:15.96\00:01:18.54
which God did not accept,
00:01:18.57\00:01:20.57
and they offered
insult to the infinite God
00:01:20.60\00:01:23.29
by presenting this
strange fire before Him.
00:01:23.32\00:01:26.95
God consumed them by
fire for their positive
00:01:26.98\00:01:31.28
disregard of His
express directions.
00:01:31.31\00:01:34.24
All their works were
as the offering of Cain.

There was no
divine Savior represented.

Had these sons of
Aaron been in full command

of their reasoning faculties
they would have discerned

the difference between
the common and sacred fire."

You see, friends, the
priest would have burn incense
00:01:51.91\00:01:55.10
into the Lord from the
fire of the Lord's kindling.

The Lord's fire
was a sacred fire.

It represented the communication
between God and man

they could only be opened
through Jesus Christ alone.

And this fire was to
never be extinguished.

And it was the only
fire that was to be used

during the sacred
services in the sanctuary.

Remember, God is
an all knowing God.

He distinguishes the
meaning of everything.

He is extremely
particular as to who or what

is to rightly represent
Him, the high and holy one.

into this subject and to see
