drama in our lives,

as we are preparing
for the kingdom of heaven.

Some drama can easily be escape,

while other types we
simply just have to learn

the best way to deal with it.

And in a very real sense,

that's what our
program is all about today.

Just how we should
be dealing with drama.

Not that we're gonna deal
with all the types of drama.

No, we're gonna take a
deeper look at theatrical drama,

namely as it applies
to being used in churches

and especially as it relates
00:01:35.89\00:01:37.59
to the use of fictional
characters and situations.

For many of us the thought that

of God is having had
anything to say about
00:01:43.04\00:01:46.00
the use of dramas
seems highly unlikely.

But remember that old adage,

"There's nothing
new under the sun."

Well, I believe that
many will be surprised,

with the lessons we
find in the Word of God,

as well as the
Spirit of Prophecy

that have profound correlation
with the use of drama.

And how it may affect us

in this life and
the life to come.

It's sure to be
a heavy duty study

that really mean drama?

Does is it really
belong in the church?

Theatrics really
belong in the church.

Acting and you
know, maybe even puppetry.

We're gonna
examine these subjects

based on the Word of
God, Spirit of Prophecy.

Before we do, we
always ask God to be with us.

kneel and have prayer.

Maybe when you're at home,

have the attitude,

that's your attitude today,

It does matter,
what God's word says

and it's not biblical,
then we need to find out,

And then say, "Oh, God
help me to do the right thing."

Why else would Jesus say,

We can't afford to as it were,
to deviate right to the left.

We go straight down the
line by the Word of God,

the Spirit of Prophecy.

There was a saying

thought very interesting.

it was an honest mistake."

Maybe you've made some.

mistakes, some honest mistakes.

But listen to
these lines, it says,

"When a man who is
honestly mistaken."

So you take a man
who is honestly mistaken.

When he hears the
truth, notice what takes place.

quit being mistaken,

or he will cease to be honest."

Wow, interesting
words. He has to do something.

The honest heart
is going to change,

May I say to you before
we read this passage, err.

Listen carefully, err
rarely appears as it really is,

It's when it's mingled
with truth or it attaches.

Attaches itself to the truth.

commissions us today

do we really use to evangelize?

to get the attention
of the people, of children

and make a lasting impression?

Men, women,
children just, you know,

impression on their mind.

things that we can use

or maybe things
that we shouldn't use,

we want to reach
people for Jesus.

So how do we do that?

to answer these questions

how everybody views it,

God's Word view this.

say, "Oh, these Christians."

They'll say, "Well,
you know, I'm kind on the--

I'm on the liberal
side." You ever heard this?

It's almost like bringing

politics into
the church sometime.

Well, I'm on the liberal side.

Some are a little
more on liberal side.

The other will say, "Well,
now I'm more conservative."

Well, friend, think
about what we're talking about.

Doesn't that sound
political? It's not politics.

Let's leave politics outside
the church wall, shall we?

All we need to
realize is very simple today.

Don't get discouraged
because when we deal with things

we have to dwell upon
God's Word and what is truth.

What is the truth of the issue?

And so we had to find out,

what God's word
says about every issue.

Does it need to be all truthful

or can we deviate from
the truth a little bit?

To make, you know, make
an impression on someone.

Oh, no, absolutely not.

But we need simply
again go to God's Word.

are many people in churches

They want to see things happen.
They're interested in children.

interested in the adults.

And so this is not trying
to criticize somebody's motive.

But, yet, we need to look
deep within this subject matter.

Simple, truth is truth.

so that we understand the issue.

of brought about this study?

Well, maybe, you know, I
believe that the Holy Spirit

brought about this study

because maybe we're
abusing this subject.

Maybe we've let it go

and we were kind
of afraid to approach,

you know, the issue

because it might cause
division in the church.

And sometime we
don't approach it

because we have no material
in which to approach it with.

But kind of, in
my own thinking here,

someone came up with a thought,

in order to make our
church service better.

to make it better, you see.

So people can learn
to help our older people

and our young, our
teens and our little children,

keep their attention spanned,

who suggested this.

difficult thing is

somebody that's honest

and hard and they're
trying to do the very best,

the ministry and evangelism.

It's very difficult to
take a positional stance on it,

if maybe it's in
the wrong direction.

relationship with God.
