You know the enemy
doesn't necessarily mind

if you call
yourself a Christian,

just as long as you're ignorant

of what the truth of
God's word really is.

You know that truth that
has set us free from sin.

the other day as I--

an article came across my desk
and I took time and I read this

and I said oh
surely this can't be.

So I'm gonna-- I'm gonna share

that with you and
see how you think,

it might stagger
you a little bit.

It may not even surprise you
and others will be indifferent,

pray that it will affect you

in some form or
fashion for the good.

And it was a survey and
the survey was taken with just,

listen, pastors and
with spiritual leaders,

so that tells you
where the thinking is at now.

And so the survey was taken,

some question was
asked-- was pretty pointed.

But it does seem like the closer
we get to the coming of Jesus,

the more that were
pulling away from the Bible
00:11:09.58\00:11:12.02
and we're following after
traditions of man and fables.
00:11:12.03\00:11:16.73
And so I think that's
what prompted the survey here.

And here's one, I
thought is very interesting.

Many, many pastors
deny the deity of Jesus,

the gospel, think about that.

If you deny, the deity of Jesus
and the gospel of Jesus Christ,

you find there
is two truths there,
00:11:35.74\00:11:37.54
but in those two truths,

the devil takes
those away if you allow him

and then there will be
two that will substitute,

that would be what?
Tradition and paganism

and so they ask these pastors

and these leaders and
they said, you know, what

40 percent of those that
were asked this question,

here's what
they said 40 percent.

No longer believed
that there is a devil.

Forty percent of
the pastors said,

we're used to believe it,

but we no longer
really believe that,

that there is really
such thing as a devil.

Here's, a shocker,
Seventh five percent

when asked this
question said we no longer

believe in a--
listen, a literal hell.

Wow, 75 percent of
pastors, religious leaders,

something to think about here,

26 percent in this
poll said they no longer

believed in a literal heaven.

Wow! And then I like to
say the shock of shocks.

Sixty five percent
asked this question,

they said, we really think
that is really not necessary

for us to really even
believe in the Bible anymore.

What did they find these
individuals to take this survey?

If that's the thinking
of individuals and pastors

and the laity and religious
leaders, we're in trouble.

Did those statistics
shock you? I hope they did.

To say if that-- if that's
way that we're thinking today,

no longer--no reason
why we were in the mess

that we're in. we
can, may be it no longer

continue down
that same road anymore,

but a change
needs to take place.

And with that kind of
thinking as a pastors leader,

they tell their congregation

and where is the congregation?

Most generally
they will be even,

you know, less informed
than the pastor will on this

and if he tells them
some they automatically--

well, that must be the truth.

Friend, oh, this is a reason

I'm telling you
this because in our study

we're going to see
that the world has come

to the conclusion
that really basically

what the word of God says.

Well, I disagree
with that whole heartedly

And I think in
some of these facts,

remind us that the
power of the enemy,

he is still, he is
still-- he is reaching back

and he is changing things
that God said is unchangeable

or he thinks that he is.

And so everything
that he is able to change

that God has put
his seal of approval on.

The devil says, I
still have some power here.

The people are believing
me, they are coming to my side.

I am turning
people away from God

and I'm turning him toward
man or toward him, the enemy.

Are Protestants confused,
or the Catholics confused?

make a difference?

There's one Protestant pastor
from a pretty good size church.

my church and celebrate mass.

Getting along is great.

Getting along as
one unity is wonderful,

but not at the expense,

dear friends, of
principles of Bible truth.

What has
happened to our thinking?

Is it really spiritual anymore?
Has something really happened?

are rejecting, God's word.

They say that God's
word, is not trust worthy

from some of these surveys.

They don't trust,
God's word, anymore.

They say, well, it's confusing
and it doesn't really matter.

And some even have the
audacity to say listen,

that God's word
contradicts itself.

Boy, I have a lot to say to you,

denounce, Jesus Christ.

They denounce prophecy.

times in which we live.

of you who stand for truth,

Who might be the weaker one?

Friends, you know, this
is-- it seem like nothing

could be said in the world

that we live in to
arouse people from their sleep.

I'm afraid that you're
not the one that's sleeping.

Have you noticed this?
You're going about to and fro

that it seems that
people are spiritually sleeping.

It doesn't matter what you say.

It doesn't matter
what you do to them.

They just-- they
seem to sleep on.

Is that the signs of the time,

they seem to have
no fear of what's going

to take place in this world.

What's taking place right now?

worried about the events.

trying to make a few bucks,

just enjoy themselves.

Conscience seems
to be not severed.

I find that people
are-- they're happy

condition that they are in.

They don't want to change.

interested in the change,

them something they'll say,

isn't that wonderful?

Oh, that's good news, but
they don't order their life

after the
scripture, they're content.

There's no indication
after you talked to them

or give them a Bible study that
they don't even make a change.

They seemed to have no
inclination to free themselves

lot of backgrounds,

The basic whole world
doesn't have an inclination
