#S089 - A Limp Is The First Step In A Leap (Part 2) 00:00:05.40\00:00:10.87 Welcome to the Breath of Life 00:00:19.91\00:00:21.38 Television Ministries broadcast with Pastor Debleaire Snell. 00:00:21.42\00:00:25.49 In today's episode, Pastor Snell preaches part 00:00:26.52\00:00:29.02 two of the powerful message a live is the first step 00:00:29.06\00:00:33.86 in a leap. 00:00:34.20\00:00:36.06 Now let's go deeper into the word of God. 00:00:36.10\00:00:39.83 And I need you to understand that Jacob, 00:00:40.94\00:00:43.04 in this way becomes a symbol of all of us. 00:00:43.07\00:00:46.41 Now, you're going to get mad when I say this, 00:00:47.41\00:00:48.94 because most of us don't go to the deep place 00:00:48.98\00:00:52.75 in God voluntarily. 00:00:52.78\00:00:56.38 Most of us 00:00:59.39\00:01:00.39 don't find that inner place of the most high. 00:01:00.42\00:01:04.13 Just because we feel like it. 00:01:04.16\00:01:06.56 The truth is that most of us 00:01:06.59\00:01:08.83 only find the deep place in God when there is a difficulty 00:01:10.00\00:01:14.64 or any person that drives us into the presence of God 00:01:15.77\00:01:20.01 with an urgency that our upbringing cannot create. 00:01:21.11\00:01:24.38 And I need you to know that there's a difference 00:01:25.45\00:01:27.58 between a driving agent and a satanic attack, 00:01:27.62\00:01:31.05 because a satanic attack 00:01:32.22\00:01:34.39 is going to be the thing that keeps you from praying. 00:01:34.42\00:01:37.56 But a driving agent 00:01:38.26\00:01:40.10 is going to drive you into the prayer closet. 00:01:40.13\00:01:42.93 See, sometimes the driving agent 00:01:43.63\00:01:46.17 is the unchanging circumstance in your marriage. 00:01:47.24\00:01:49.94 Sometimes the driving agent 00:01:50.61\00:01:53.14 is the pressure you feel on your job. 00:01:54.04\00:01:55.98 Sometimes the driving agent is the thorn in your flesh 00:01:57.15\00:02:00.65 that won't be moved. 00:02:00.68\00:02:02.15 Sometimes the driving agent is 00:02:02.18\00:02:04.99 the description nation you face at your place of work. 00:02:05.02\00:02:07.96 And I need you to know, as crazy as it seems, 00:02:08.89\00:02:11.73 if Jacob was here to testify, he would say, 00:02:12.73\00:02:15.50 I thank God for Esau, for he drove me to know God in a way 00:02:15.53\00:02:22.07 I could not have known Him under any other circumstance. 00:02:23.27\00:02:26.51 And I just need to know if I have seven honest sets 00:02:27.64\00:02:30.35 that will thank God for the driving agents 00:02:31.31\00:02:33.88 that pushed you closer to God 00:02:34.58\00:02:37.82 than you would ever get by yourself. 00:02:38.62\00:02:43.89 So notice what happens here. 00:02:44.56\00:02:46.43 Verse 13 Can we stay in the book? 00:02:46.46\00:02:48.76 Are you all still with the pastor? 00:02:48.80\00:02:50.50 Are y'all still with the pastor today? 00:02:50.53\00:02:52.63 So the Bible says so. 00:02:52.67\00:02:53.67 He lives there the same night 00:02:53.70\00:02:55.70 and took notice. 00:02:56.77\00:02:58.04 What happened? He prayed. 00:02:58.07\00:02:59.47 But then he lives there the same night and took what had come 00:02:59.51\00:03:02.68 to his hand as a present. 00:03:03.31\00:03:04.58 For he saw his brother 200 female goats and 20 male goats 00:03:04.61\00:03:08.28 to use in 20 rams. 00:03:08.78\00:03:10.35 30 milked camels with their coats for $0.60. 00:03:10.39\00:03:13.19 Then he delivered them to the hand of his servants. 00:03:13.22\00:03:16.66 Every drove by itself and said to his servants, Pass over 00:03:17.86\00:03:20.70 before me, put some distance between successive droves. 00:03:20.73\00:03:24.40 And he commanded this first one saying, 00:03:25.33\00:03:26.57 When he saw my brother meet you and asked you saying, 00:03:26.60\00:03:29.84 to whom do you belong and where are you going? 00:03:29.87\00:03:32.87 Whose are these in front of you? 00:03:33.58\00:03:35.14 Then you shall say they are your servant. 00:03:36.08\00:03:37.95 Jacobs It is a present sent to my Lord Esau, and behold 00:03:37.98\00:03:43.22 he is also behind us. 00:03:43.25\00:03:46.19 Now, I don't know if you saw what just happened here 00:03:47.32\00:03:50.96 all the way. 00:03:52.39\00:03:53.06 Church Do you realize that after 00:03:53.09\00:03:56.33 Jacob finished praying the story of him 00:03:57.17\00:04:01.30 and Esau should have ended when he said 00:04:02.20\00:04:04.77 Amen? 00:04:05.24\00:04:07.61 Do you realize that once he prayed, 00:04:10.48\00:04:13.68 if he had just trusted in God, that would not have been a need 00:04:14.92\00:04:19.09 for a night of Jacob's trouble and wrestling? 00:04:19.12\00:04:22.56 In other words, notice what happens. 00:04:23.83\00:04:25.83 He on the front end tries to sense gifts to appease God, 00:04:27.03\00:04:30.07 but then he gathers himself, calls on 00:04:30.97\00:04:33.07 God, and claims the promises that God made to Abraham. 00:04:33.10\00:04:37.34 But because there is no immediate result, guess what? 00:04:38.41\00:04:40.91 Panic sets in 00:04:40.94\00:04:42.38 and he goes back to the old way of scamming his way 00:04:42.41\00:04:45.55 out of stuff. 00:04:45.58\00:04:47.15 In other words, he schemed his way out of favor 00:04:48.15\00:04:51.22 with Esau 00:04:51.25\00:04:52.45 and he tries to scheme his way back into favor with Aesop. 00:04:52.49\00:04:57.19 And this is Jacob's pattern to one moment. 00:04:57.23\00:05:00.16 Hold on to God. 00:05:00.20\00:05:01.73 And we got takes too long. 00:05:01.76\00:05:03.10 I'm going to let go of God. 00:05:03.13\00:05:04.97 I'm going to trust God in this season. 00:05:05.00\00:05:07.07 But when the season does change, I'm going to let go of God. 00:05:08.27\00:05:10.24 I'm going to hold on to God in this moment. 00:05:11.21\00:05:13.21 But when I feel shaky, I let go of God and understand 00:05:14.34\00:05:17.58 that Jacob literally becomes a parable 00:05:17.61\00:05:20.78 of the inconsistency of our walk with God. 00:05:21.68\00:05:24.79 Because we walk with God and hold on in one season. 00:05:25.89\00:05:28.79 But then when money gets tight, we let go. 00:05:29.69\00:05:31.66 We hold on to God to get the job. 00:05:32.49\00:05:35.63 But when they say You got to work on Sabbath, we let go. 00:05:35.66\00:05:38.60 We hold on God to get a man, but then we let go. 00:05:39.67\00:05:43.34 When that man makes us compromise our principles. 00:05:43.37\00:05:46.07 And Jacob's pattern is to hold on and let go. 00:05:47.11\00:05:50.08 To hold on and let go, to hold on and let go. 00:05:51.08\00:05:54.32 And so God says, I'm gonna engineer a night of trouble 00:05:55.48\00:05:59.02 that teaches you how to hold on 00:06:00.36\00:06:02.96 and never let go of my hand. 00:06:03.63\00:06:05.59 Okay, so, so, so now, 00:06:07.13\00:06:09.96 you know, I'm trying to figure something out. 00:06:10.93\00:06:13.34 So I'm like, okay, 00:06:14.14\00:06:16.20 God, if you want to save Jacob, 00:06:16.91\00:06:18.91 just give him a Bible study, right? 00:06:20.41\00:06:23.91 If you want to save him, just send him to church. 00:06:24.91\00:06:28.28 But notice he doesn't save Jacob in a church service. 00:06:29.45\00:06:33.69 He saves Jacob in a confrontation. 00:06:34.82\00:06:37.49 He don't save Jacob in a Bible study. 00:06:39.33\00:06:42.73 He saves Jacob in hostility. 00:06:42.76\00:06:45.20 He doesn't save Jacob in a cool with the background 00:06:46.27\00:06:50.54 of the aliens, he saves Jacob in a warfare. 00:06:50.57\00:06:54.81 In other words, he saves Jacob by pushing him around. 00:06:55.94\00:06:58.61 He saves Jacob by knocking him to the ground. 00:06:59.61\00:07:02.48 He saves Jacob by being rough with him 00:07:02.52\00:07:05.49 and understand the manner in which Jacob is saved 00:07:06.59\00:07:09.12 teaches us a critical lesson that you can't have 00:07:10.19\00:07:12.76 any preference about the way God saves you or your children. 00:07:13.96\00:07:16.77 You've got to get to a place where you want to be saved 00:07:17.93\00:07:20.20 so bad that even if God shows up in a confrontation, 00:07:20.24\00:07:24.47 if God 00:07:24.77\00:07:25.97 shows up in a wrestling match, if God has to knock you down 00:07:26.01\00:07:29.31 to get your attention, you say, like Jacob, any way 00:07:30.41\00:07:33.68 you bless me, Lord, I'll be satisfied. 00:07:33.72\00:07:39.32 So, Adam Cole, I'm looking at this thing 00:07:40.66\00:07:42.62 and I'm trying to get like. 00:07:42.66\00:07:43.69 Like the real time. 00:07:43.73\00:07:45.56 I kind of the importance of God 00:07:45.59\00:07:49.33 wrestling with Jacob to the breaking of day. 00:07:50.27\00:07:52.43 And it's funny 00:07:53.07\00:07:54.30 because like one of the things that God began to reveal to me 00:07:54.34\00:07:56.57 is that sometimes wrestling 00:07:57.24\00:07:59.57 is a bonding activity, so that sometimes mothers 00:08:00.71\00:08:07.72 and daughters bond differently than fathers and sons. 00:08:07.75\00:08:11.02 So that my wife and daughter, they might bond while baking 00:08:12.25\00:08:15.06 something in the kitchen, or they might bond by 00:08:15.09\00:08:18.03 getting their hair or nails done. 00:08:18.83\00:08:20.03 They might bond in a very deep and meaningful conversation. 00:08:20.06\00:08:24.20 But brothers, do I get to witness 00:08:25.03\00:08:26.13 that sons and fathers don't bond always in that way, 00:08:26.17\00:08:30.11 but sometimes 00:08:30.54\00:08:31.74 we bond through confrontation and on the basketball court 00:08:31.77\00:08:34.64 that that we bond through a father son rivalry 00:08:35.68\00:08:38.98 that's developed over the years, that sometimes a father 00:08:39.01\00:08:42.48 and son will bond back wrestling with each other. 00:08:42.52\00:08:45.95 In fact, friends of mine, I'll attest 00:08:47.36\00:08:49.26 that sometimes in my own house I got two wonderful big sons. 00:08:49.29\00:08:53.03 But I need to know that sometimes I love them. 00:08:53.06\00:08:55.36 But I don't just come in and give them a hug. 00:08:55.40\00:08:57.80 But sometimes I'll come 00:08:58.37\00:08:59.80 and just bump into them to start something 00:08:59.83\00:09:02.20 that every now and then 00:09:03.87\00:09:05.17 I'll just come in and push them around to see what they going. 00:09:05.21\00:09:08.48 Then that 00:09:08.84\00:09:09.98 that as a dad, sometimes I'll knock them to the ground 00:09:10.01\00:09:12.98 just so that they can get up and we'll begin 00:09:13.98\00:09:15.98 a wrestling match right there in the middle of the bedroom. 00:09:16.02\00:09:20.02 Now, all y'all gentle parents can relate to what I'm saying. 00:09:20.06\00:09:23.63 Go see the therapist after church is over. 00:09:23.66\00:09:26.33 But sometimes fathers and sons born to a wrestling match. 00:09:26.36\00:09:31.50 Are you hear me today? 00:09:31.53\00:09:33.07 And I need you to know that sometimes I start something for 00:09:33.10\00:09:36.91 no good reason. 00:09:37.34\00:09:38.24 But there is a metric behind the madness 00:09:38.27\00:09:41.44 because there is something that takes place 00:09:42.41\00:09:44.35 when me and my sons wrestle with one another. 00:09:45.38\00:09:47.45 See, the truth 00:09:47.88\00:09:49.02 is that me and my oldest, we've been wrestling so long 00:09:49.05\00:09:51.95 that now he knows how to anticipate my moves. 00:09:52.99\00:09:55.79 Because we've been wrestling so 00:09:56.49\00:09:57.73 long, he knows how to imitate my moves 00:09:57.76\00:10:01.70 cause we've been wrestling so long. 00:10:02.56\00:10:04.13 His strength has increased because we've been wrestling 00:10:05.30\00:10:08.30 so long. 00:10:08.34\00:10:09.34 In other words, because we've been wrestling. 00:10:09.37\00:10:12.41 He becomes like me in the process. 00:10:13.17\00:10:15.71 Are y'all hear me today? 00:10:17.35\00:10:18.31 Thanks. 00:10:18.35\00:10:19.11 So, so wrestling is actually bonding activity. 00:10:20.15\00:10:23.75 Now, the other reasons I wrestle with them 00:10:25.05\00:10:27.02 is because my boys, they love us and they're not fighters. 00:10:27.06\00:10:30.83 And so every now and then I realize, Malcolm, 00:10:30.86\00:10:33.86 that there are some kids outside of our house 00:10:34.76\00:10:36.83 that don't care nothing about who they daddy is. 00:10:37.83\00:10:40.24 And so I have to fight with them so that they can handle 00:10:40.27\00:10:44.17 the battles that are waiting for them. 00:10:44.21\00:10:46.78 Not now. Let me tell the truth. 00:10:46.81\00:10:49.14 I don't know if I teach them to turn the other cheek. 00:10:49.18\00:10:51.45 How y'all pray for me in this house the next. So? 00:10:51.48\00:10:56.05 So every now and then, 00:10:56.62\00:10:57.75 Miss Dent, I engage them in a battle and a fight. 00:10:57.79\00:11:01.22 Because remember, Esau, Jacob 00:11:01.92\00:11:04.06 is afraid of Esau who's on his level, 00:11:04.96\00:11:07.40 but he prepares him for Esau by having a fight 00:11:08.43\00:11:11.23 that's beyond his level. 00:11:11.27\00:11:13.47 Okay, let me see y'all on this side. 00:11:13.50\00:11:15.74 He's afraid of Esau, who's on this level. 00:11:16.67\00:11:18.51 So God prepares him in a battle that's beyond his level. 00:11:19.64\00:11:22.21 And he is the same way 00:11:22.78\00:11:24.05 a daddy prepares a son for battle outside of the house. 00:11:24.08\00:11:27.62 Now I know my sons can't beat me, 00:11:28.42\00:11:30.15 but I just believe if they contend with me, 00:11:31.05\00:11:32.99 if they hang with me, if they can just hold on 00:11:33.96\00:11:37.39 with me, if they can just stay in the battle with me, 00:11:37.43\00:11:41.00 if they can fight with Daddy, they can handle any Negro 00:11:42.20\00:11:45.43 on the playground, on the court, in the streets. 00:11:45.47\00:11:49.74 I told them, like my daddy, if you let them whup 00:11:50.81\00:11:54.04 you in the streets, it might be some. 00:11:54.08\00:11:59.28 Now, Haryana. 00:11:59.31\00:12:02.35 So so what God does is he prepares us for 00:12:02.38\00:12:05.85 a horizontal battle by preparing us in a greater battle. 00:12:06.99\00:12:10.09 Let me say this. 00:12:11.33\00:12:11.89 I remember 00:12:11.93\00:12:12.83 probably about eight or nine years ago, you know, 00:12:13.90\00:12:15.86 they had this cotton row run here in the city of Huntsville. 00:12:15.90\00:12:18.87 And so I remember 00:12:19.47\00:12:21.14 there was me and some of the guys 00:12:21.17\00:12:22.20 from the church we trained and they dragged me in 00:12:22.24\00:12:24.71 peer pressure me into doing this cotton roll run 00:12:25.71\00:12:26.94 ten K about 6.2 miles. 00:12:27.51\00:12:29.31 So I remember training for the cotton well run. 00:12:29.34\00:12:31.55 Now, I need you to be clear. 00:12:31.58\00:12:32.48 Saints ain't trying to break no records. 00:12:32.51\00:12:36.52 My ego is not attached to my time. 00:12:36.55\00:12:38.85 My only goal is to get out of the race uninjured. 00:12:39.92\00:12:42.29 Do I have a witness? I the today brothers, 00:12:42.32\00:12:45.23 as I remember. 00:12:45.26\00:12:46.09 Good training and here in Huntsville 00:12:46.13\00:12:47.56 doing a little best I can. 00:12:47.60\00:12:49.00 And I remember Malcolm the day we showed up for the race. 00:12:49.03\00:12:51.40 All of the folk were out there getting the numbers. 00:12:52.50\00:12:53.54 And I see this older gentleman at least 00:12:53.57\00:12:56.00 he was older at the time, and this guy probably had like 00:12:57.21\00:12:59.17 1% body fat on his body. 00:12:59.21\00:13:02.11 I noticed he had some expensive running shoes on his feet. 00:13:03.28\00:13:05.88 And as we got to know each other, 00:13:06.72\00:13:07.78 we made some small talk. 00:13:07.82\00:13:09.25 As he found out that I was from Florida, 00:13:09.28\00:13:11.39 he said, I live in Florida. 00:13:12.05\00:13:13.66 I'm just here to visit a loved one for the weekend. 00:13:14.76\00:13:17.13 And the more comfortable he got as we talk, 00:13:18.03\00:13:20.20 the more condescending Louis he became. 00:13:21.06\00:13:22.76 So this brother man that you can tell he runs all the time. 00:13:24.00\00:13:26.84 He begins to criticize my shoes 00:13:27.54\00:13:29.00 and he's saying, you got on the wrong kind, 00:13:29.97\00:13:31.04 and how are they going to hurt your back down the line? 00:13:31.07\00:13:33.11 And I had on some long basketball shorts 00:13:33.14\00:13:35.24 and he says, Man, you got on these long shorts. 00:13:36.31\00:13:37.51 They got hurt. Your range of motion. 00:13:37.55\00:13:39.41 And I wanted to tell you, I'm looking at too much upper male. 00:13:39.45\00:13:41.92 Find the shorts that you got on. 00:13:41.95\00:13:44.12 You need to go back home and put on some. 00:13:44.15\00:13:45.79 NELSON And you talked about how you got on this big t shirt. 00:13:45.82\00:13:48.86 But what you need is these wicker shirts 00:13:49.79\00:13:51.06 that's going to be able to consume the sweat when you run. 00:13:52.23\00:13:53.86 And so when we got ready to take off for the race, 00:13:54.93\00:13:57.07 he looked at me in a snide way and he says, 00:13:58.03\00:14:00.17 I'll see you at the finish line if you make it. 00:14:00.20\00:14:05.11 And so now I need you now. 00:14:05.14\00:14:06.57 Since I ain't in 00:14:06.61\00:14:07.71 my feelings about this, I just want to finish the race. 00:14:07.74\00:14:10.35 And so now I'm running the race. 00:14:11.05\00:14:12.48 I'm about four and a half miles in. 00:14:12.51\00:14:14.52 And as I look ahead, I see them little tiny 00:14:15.48\00:14:18.25 shorts in front of me and I see them special 00:14:18.29\00:14:21.82 expensive shoes from about 100 yards back. 00:14:21.86\00:14:25.13 And all of a sudden I feel my help coming on. 00:14:26.16\00:14:28.16 I feel a second wind in my spirits. 00:14:29.63\00:14:33.00 I feel like the Lone Ranger about to get my man. 00:14:34.07\00:14:37.61 And I'm getting closer and closer to him. 00:14:38.54\00:14:40.78 And I notice that when we get by the heel, 00:14:41.74\00:14:43.48 he stops running and he starts walking. 00:14:44.38\00:14:46.35 And then it dawns on me he's been training in Florida 00:14:47.52\00:14:50.55 where the ground is flat. 00:14:51.85\00:14:54.29 I've been training in Huntsville, 00:14:54.32\00:14:56.96 where his heels on every corner. 00:14:56.99\00:14:59.53 So when he got to the hills, he was run it out of gas. 00:15:00.76\00:15:04.67 And Ralph, when I got close, I wanted to be a Christian. 00:15:05.87\00:15:09.34 I wanted to turn the other cheek. 00:15:10.07\00:15:12.11 But when I ran by the brother, 00:15:12.81\00:15:15.08 I said, I'll see you at the finish line 00:15:15.11\00:15:17.68 if you get there. 00:15:19.31\00:15:24.35 But because I was trained on a higher level, 00:15:24.39\00:15:28.82 it didn't matter if he had on 00:15:29.52\00:15:30.96 better shoes, it didn't matter if he had on the right side. 00:15:30.99\00:15:34.36 He hadn't wrestled like a wrestler. 00:15:35.16\00:15:36.83 He hadn't felt like I felt he hadn't scaled what I scale 00:15:38.03\00:15:41.24 and can I say to somebody that's cursing your situation 00:15:42.44\00:15:44.71 does go come a day where you praise God 00:15:45.61\00:15:47.24 for the mountains you had to climb 00:15:48.08\00:15:50.18 and the way you had to take and going up the rough 00:15:50.21\00:15:53.68 side of the mountain so that when you pass by those 00:15:53.72\00:15:57.52 who've only been on flat land, just turn and say, 00:15:58.59\00:16:01.52 I'll see you at the finish line if you make it. 00:16:01.56\00:16:06.26 There 00:16:06.29\00:16:07.30 you are here in the world today, friends, as a friend of mine, 00:16:08.50\00:16:15.80 this is why 00:16:16.97\00:16:19.94 Jacob should have just prayed 00:16:19.97\00:16:22.24 and left this thing in the hand of God. 00:16:23.14\00:16:25.58 Let me show you this quote here Patriarchs and Prophets. 00:16:26.72\00:16:28.62 Page 198, put this up on the screen. 00:16:28.65\00:16:30.95 This is why we don't ever need to be trippin. 00:16:31.99\00:16:33.25 We don't need to be stressing. 00:16:33.96\00:16:34.82 We don't need to get overwhelmed. 00:16:34.86\00:16:36.29 We don't need to allow ourselves to be in panic. 00:16:36.32\00:16:38.29 A single day of our lives can you say, man today? 00:16:38.33\00:16:40.73 Church Look at this. 00:16:40.76\00:16:41.90 Patriarchs and prophets. 198 What's this? 00:16:41.93\00:16:44.23 He called Jesus. 00:16:44.67\00:16:48.80 Oh, look at this. 00:16:48.84\00:16:51.94 While Jacob 00:16:51.97\00:16:54.58 was wrestling with the Angel, 00:16:54.61\00:16:57.08 another heavenly messenger was sent to Esau. 00:16:57.11\00:17:01.35 God, in our dream, Esau 00:17:02.52\00:17:05.52 beheld his brother for 20 years and exile. 00:17:05.55\00:17:09.52 He witness his grief at finding his mother dead. 00:17:10.59\00:17:13.50 He saw Jacob in campus by the house of God, 00:17:14.46\00:17:17.30 the God of his father was with him. 00:17:18.17\00:17:19.70 Watch this. 00:17:19.73\00:17:20.77 The two companies at last approached each other, 00:17:20.80\00:17:23.91 the desert cheek, leading his men of war, 00:17:24.81\00:17:26.88 Jacob, with his wives and children, followed by long 00:17:28.01\00:17:30.28 flocks of long lines of flocks and herds. 00:17:30.31\00:17:33.38 Now, in other words, you got an army on this side, 00:17:34.48\00:17:35.82 Jacob, with sheep and women on the other side. 00:17:36.85\00:17:38.35 And at the sight of the crippled sufferer, Esau ran 00:17:39.39\00:17:43.36 to meet them and embraced him and they wept. 00:17:43.39\00:17:48.40 Even the hearts of Israel's rude soldiers were touched, 00:17:49.60\00:17:53.27 but they 00:17:54.50\00:17:54.97 could not account 00:17:55.00\00:17:56.17 for the chains that had come over their captain. 00:17:56.20\00:17:58.74 Okay, so some of y'all already missed it. 00:17:59.67\00:18:02.38 The she says that while Jacob was wrestled, 00:18:03.38\00:18:08.68 God had already sent an angel 00:18:08.72\00:18:11.42 to go ahead and deal with Esau. 00:18:12.12\00:18:14.92 So Jacob didn't need to send no gifts. 00:18:15.82\00:18:18.59 Jacob didn't need to try to pacify him 00:18:19.43\00:18:21.73 because God had already went ahead of him and went out. 00:18:22.86\00:18:26.90 The problem, snatched the courage from Esau 00:18:26.94\00:18:30.34 and fought the battle that he could not win. 00:18:31.34\00:18:33.61 Pastor, what are you trying to say? 00:18:34.48\00:18:36.18 Wow. You trying to figure it out? 00:18:36.21\00:18:41.48 God has already worked it out. 00:18:41.52\00:18:46.99 See how many of us know 00:18:47.02\00:18:48.62 you're waiting on God to do some things? 00:18:48.66\00:18:51.13 No, God has already done it. 00:18:51.79\00:18:53.76 You're just waiting for it to be manifested. 00:18:54.73\00:18:56.70 Can I suggest to somebody today that the bill has already 00:18:57.87\00:19:00.54 been paid, 00:19:00.57\00:19:01.94 that the job has already been secured, 00:19:02.77\00:19:04.84 that the House has already closed, that the healing 00:19:05.94\00:19:08.84 has already take place, that the ministry has already grown 00:19:08.88\00:19:13.21 sick. 00:19:13.72\00:19:14.68 God has gone ahead of you and worked it out. 00:19:14.72\00:19:17.99 You just got to move to where God is already working. 00:19:19.15\00:19:23.96 So why is this? 00:19:23.99\00:19:27.23 The Bible says 00:19:27.30\00:19:28.23 he sends the women 00:19:35.87\00:19:37.84 send the flocks. 00:19:38.27\00:19:39.47 Since Roxanne in the Bible says 00:19:39.51\00:19:41.91 Jacob is left there alone. 00:19:41.94\00:19:44.81 Let me just pause and say this, 00:19:46.05\00:19:47.78 because one of God's greatest efforts in your life 00:19:47.82\00:19:50.89 so that he can get himself and reveal himself to you, 00:19:52.02\00:19:54.69 he's just got to get you along. 00:19:54.72\00:19:59.36 That's the reason God can't reach you 00:19:59.39\00:20:01.43 is because of the company you keep in. 00:20:01.46\00:20:05.80 The reason he can't reach you is because of who you came in 00:20:05.83\00:20:09.00 with on the internet. 00:20:09.04\00:20:10.71 The reason he can't reach you 00:20:10.74\00:20:12.31 is because of who you boo'd up with at the snack shop. 00:20:12.34\00:20:15.34 The reason he can't reach you is because of your boys. 00:20:16.51\00:20:18.71 That's filling your phones and your house with drama 00:20:18.75\00:20:21.58 because they sending you Nikki pictures on Instagram. 00:20:22.72\00:20:24.75 He can't reach you because of who you rolling with. 00:20:24.79\00:20:27.96 And so 00:20:29.29\00:20:30.26 understand that not all betrayal is of the devil, 00:20:30.29\00:20:33.43 not everybody is that ghost you is spiritual attack. 00:20:34.56\00:20:37.40 Sometimes God is commencing a surgery in your life 00:20:38.50\00:20:41.64 to get you separated and loose and untied 00:20:42.57\00:20:46.31 so that he can get you by yourself. 00:20:47.18\00:20:52.91 And the words says that they wrestle 00:20:52.95\00:20:57.02 to the breaking of the day. 00:20:57.69\00:21:00.06 Now I need you to get this today. 00:21:01.52\00:21:02.82 Sense that as this stranger assails Jacob 00:21:02.86\00:21:07.56 in the middle of his prayer, he is startled. 00:21:08.53\00:21:11.00 But if he really Jacob moves into a posture of confrontation, 00:21:12.20\00:21:15.77 assuming that Esau on one of his services has come upon him, 00:21:16.97\00:21:19.84 Jacob gets ready to engage for the very fight of his life. 00:21:21.01\00:21:25.21 But the servant of the Lord says, 00:21:26.05\00:21:27.18 and he notices from the very beginning of this fight, 00:21:27.22\00:21:30.92 that the strength he is combating is not of human 00:21:30.95\00:21:35.12 origin. 00:21:35.16\00:21:36.12 It is clear that this is a battle he cannot win. 00:21:36.16\00:21:41.70 But the thing I like about Jacob 00:21:41.73\00:21:43.73 is that he does not take flights 00:21:44.43\00:21:46.74 when God shows up, he says. 00:21:47.64\00:21:49.97 Since you came for me, 00:21:50.01\00:21:52.01 I'm going to come back for you. 00:21:53.17\00:21:55.28 And you've got to see this thing that God grabs 00:21:56.24\00:21:58.81 Jacob by the arm and God Jacob knocks his arm free. 00:21:58.85\00:22:02.72 That God grants Jacob by the leg 00:22:03.42\00:22:05.45 and Jacob shakes himself loose. 00:22:06.15\00:22:07.56 That God gets Jacob and the full Nelson and Jacob slips away. 00:22:08.76\00:22:12.43 Jacob gets God in the suplex, but somehow God breaks three 00:22:13.66\00:22:16.93 and before they know it, they've been in a sweaty embrace 00:22:18.07\00:22:20.97 where He is so close to God that He can feel the breath of God, 00:22:22.20\00:22:25.74 that the sweat of God is falling upon Him and the Bible says 00:22:26.94\00:22:30.85 that they wrestle all night till the breaking of the day, 00:22:32.08\00:22:35.38 and when the beams of light begin to pierce 00:22:36.38\00:22:39.09 the horizon, the angel says, Let me go 00:22:39.12\00:22:42.96 for the day breaks. 00:22:44.53\00:22:46.49 But Jacob doesn't let him go. 00:22:46.53\00:22:48.73 So the angel touches 00:22:49.66\00:22:52.07 with his finger, the hollow of his thigh, 00:22:52.93\00:22:56.30 and knocks it all the way out of joint. 00:22:57.21\00:23:00.64 Now, I need you to get the miracle, 00:23:00.68\00:23:02.51 because even though he knocks the tie out of joint, 00:23:02.54\00:23:05.61 guess what? 00:23:06.01\00:23:06.75 Jacob is still wrestling 00:23:06.78\00:23:09.05 his own one good leg, and Jacob is guilty of wrestling. 00:23:09.08\00:23:12.82 Jacob gets knocked to the ground, 00:23:13.66\00:23:15.42 but Jacob is still wrestling. 00:23:15.46\00:23:17.56 He grabs the man and he knocks him free. 00:23:17.59\00:23:20.60 And Jacob grabs his garment. 00:23:21.23\00:23:22.70 He shakes it loose. 00:23:22.73\00:23:24.03 Jacob grabs his sandal and he kicks him off. 00:23:24.07\00:23:27.14 Jacob grabs his arm and he shakes him free. 00:23:28.07\00:23:30.41 But after the last time of getting knocked on the ground, 00:23:31.61\00:23:34.01 Jacob gets up on his knees, climbs up the angel's garment, 00:23:35.24\00:23:38.51 grabs him face to face, gets in the face of God 00:23:39.51\00:23:43.15 and says, God, I don't mean to be rude. 00:23:43.99\00:23:45.99 I don't mean to be unseemly, but you can't leave yet. 00:23:47.12\00:23:50.96 And do I have any Jacob's that will get like Jacob 00:23:52.06\00:23:55.53 and say, God, I won't let you go 00:23:56.23\00:23:58.87 until you 00:24:00.90\00:24:01.97 bless me. 00:24:02.00\00:24:06.17 And that ain't even the best part. 00:24:06.21\00:24:09.14 He yells on, goes on to God, Now get what's happening. 00:24:10.31\00:24:13.15 Because this 00:24:13.78\00:24:15.32 is the moment of deliverance 00:24:15.35\00:24:17.89 for somebody in 2025. 00:24:18.45\00:24:20.42 This is where you have to overcome. 00:24:21.29\00:24:24.89 You realize that there is a nerve center around your thigh. 00:24:24.93\00:24:28.00 So if your thigh gets 00:24:28.70\00:24:31.30 knocked out of joint, suddenly it's going to be a pain 00:24:31.33\00:24:36.47 that is unbearable. 00:24:37.01\00:24:39.51 So be honest here yet, 00:24:41.21\00:24:43.31 Jacob is holding on to God 00:24:43.95\00:24:45.88 while experiencing an unbearable 00:24:46.78\00:24:49.68 kind of pain. 00:24:49.72\00:24:52.75 He's holding on to God while dealing with the pain 00:24:52.79\00:24:56.32 that is too human for him not to respond to. 00:24:57.33\00:24:59.43 Now, what's human nature when something is hurting you, 00:25:00.66\00:25:03.16 your natural response is to start holding it. 00:25:04.13\00:25:06.60 Yeah. Okay. 00:25:08.07\00:25:09.87 When something is hurting, your natural response 00:25:09.90\00:25:13.91 is to hold it. 00:25:13.94\00:25:15.64 But notice that when Jacob is hurting, 00:25:15.68\00:25:18.35 he doesn't hold on to us. 00:25:18.98\00:25:20.48 Hurting him. He holds on to God. 00:25:20.52\00:25:23.28 Oh, God, 00:25:24.99\00:25:26.15 he doesn't hold on to his pain. 00:25:26.86\00:25:28.29 He holds on to His Savior. 00:25:28.92\00:25:31.36 He doesn't hold on to his infirmity. 00:25:31.39\00:25:33.60 He holds on to his healer. 00:25:34.20\00:25:36.16 And the word of deliverance to someone today 00:25:36.20\00:25:38.73 is you got to stop holding on to was hurting you 00:25:39.80\00:25:43.20 and you got to stop holding on to your God, stop 00:25:44.27\00:25:48.04 holding on to your ex and start holding on to your God. 00:25:48.08\00:25:52.28 Stop holding on to your parents and start 00:25:53.18\00:25:55.78 holding on to your God. 00:25:55.82\00:25:57.72 Stop holding on to your sickness 00:25:57.75\00:26:00.09 and stop holding on to your God. 00:26:00.12\00:26:02.16 You can't be changed and you can't be free 00:26:03.12\00:26:05.96 until you stop holding on to your pain 00:26:06.86\00:26:09.63 and start 00:26:13.74\00:26:14.34 holding on to your savior. 00:26:14.37\00:26:16.34 Because the truth is, you can't admit it. 00:26:17.64\00:26:19.21 That's why we all look at him crazy 00:26:19.24\00:26:21.38 is that we've been holding on to our hurt 00:26:21.41\00:26:23.78 more than we hold on to the healer. 00:26:24.75\00:26:27.98 We've been holding on to our suspicions 00:26:28.02\00:26:30.62 more than we hold on to our Savior. 00:26:30.65\00:26:33.32 We've been holding on to the ones who left us 00:26:33.36\00:26:36.59 more than we hold on to the God who stands next to us. 00:26:37.76\00:26:39.89 We hold on more to those that have injured us 00:26:40.90\00:26:43.13 more than we hold on to the one that prosperous us. 00:26:44.23\00:26:46.40 And I'm looking to see if I got 18 folk in the room 00:26:47.50\00:26:49.50 who are going to take a leap this year. 00:26:50.41\00:26:52.01 And you're going to say, I'm going experience deliverance. 00:26:52.04\00:26:54.74 You're saying I'm going be set free. 00:26:55.54\00:26:57.48 I'm laying aside the chains of yesterday. 00:26:58.35\00:27:00.72 I'm laying aside every bitterness, I'm casting 00:27:01.75\00:27:04.29 aside every yoke I'm no longer holding on to what hurt me. 00:27:04.32\00:27:09.29 But I'm going to start holding on to my God. 00:27:10.29\00:27:16.93
