there are some things

that you've been
praying about for some time

and you thought that
maybe I don't have enough faith,

or maybe you thought that
God didn't hear my prayers.

Or maybe you thought

I was not significant enough
for God to operate in my behalf.

And the problem
is, you thought certain

things weren't a hindrance, but
the truth is, certain kitchens

were an advocate.

See, all of us have
some immovable situations

in our lives.

See, the thing is,

that sometimes the thorn is

the one thing that
keeps you prayerful.

It is the one thing
that keeps you grateful.

It is the one thing
that keeps you grounded.

It is the one thing
that keeps you dependent.

Because some of us don't
have a thorn in the flesh.

has a thorn in the flesh.

thorn in our finances.

thorn in our marriages.

And no matter how hard you
pray, no matter where you go,

it shows up before you
get where you're going.

saying, I need some regulation

And it comes, as I say,
on time, from time to time.

I remember hearing the
story about the Alaskan codfish,

and they would love to ship
this codfish to United States

because it was
very popular here.

But one of the
things that would happen
00:02:18.33\00:02:20.04
is that the codfish
00:02:20.07\00:02:21.17
would become very idle
and stationary in their tanks

during the transit.

And because they were not moving

in the tanks, by
the time they arrived,

they would be very mushy
and they would lose their flavor

because they would
be idle inside the tank.

So what they did, Brother
Perry, is they start putting

a catfish inside of
the tank with the catfish.

Now, the catfish
is the natural enemy.

The thorn kicks in
whenever my head gets too big.

This is critical
because all you've got to do
