available the Spirit is.

Because remember,
Jesus says, if you being evil

know how to give good

Give the Holy Spirit

to them

The second thing
this teaches us is,

is the danger of having form

without substance.

So the Bible says that

these men were
Jewish itinerant exorcists.

In other words, what
they did was they went around

casting out or
claiming to cast out demons.

And this is how
they made their living.

Now, I need you to get me what's
going down here in Ephesus.

The emphasis is a place of high
traffic and high visitation.

But emphasis has saints.

All streams or vibes
flowing through the city.

In other words,

I need you to get what
drives the culture is witchcraft

and magic and
participation in the occult.

The primary deity of the
area is the lady deities.

drives the visitation

what's happening in emphasis

is that the powers of

They are
absolutely killing the game.

these seven sons of Steve

that have carved out
a little bit of a niche

by claiming to cast out
demons through the power of God.

But the problem is, Paul
and the apostles are now moving

with such authentic
force that they are stealing

the thunder of the
Seven Sons of Shiva.

And now they try to
piggyback on what Paul is doing.

Now, I need you to
know who these brothers are.

The Bible says
that these seven men

are the sons of a
Jewish high priest.

In other words,
they are not bad men.

They are simply
children that grew up in church.

In other words,

they are kids that grew
up living at the temple,

but they never got to
know the God of the temple.

In other words, they grew
up knowing the temple policy.

They knew Temple protocol.

They knew temple liturgy.

They knew the

They knew
everything about the temple

they are such a group

that may have grown up

church and religious things.

familiarity buzz muster

that they literally have
contempt for the things of God,

and it's
demonstrated by the fact

that they literally try to copy
whatever the religious trend

is of the time.

And like many in
our time, we're familiar

with the things of
God, but we don't know

God for ourselves.

And it's
interesting because God works

through personalities and
human idiosyncrasies, Bobbie.

So it's crazy.

So they they watching Paul

and they study in
everything he does.

And so because,
man, Paul preaches

with a certain
inflection in his voice,

man, they try to mimic

and and talk with the
same inflection in their voice,

because Paul may
speak with his hands.

Man They try to
impersonate that before

they know what they
talking with their hands

because man Paul has a
certain lean when he walks.

They get right behind it, man.

And they try to
walk, just like Paul did.

And Jesus for now, he because
Paul has a certain accent.

They actually mimic his accent.

And see, the issue is they
try to imitate Paul's form,

but they never make contact
with the substance of his power.

And what they learn the hard way
is that there are some demons

that don't respond
to your religious form.

You can only be
able to deal with them

if you've got your
own substance in Jesus.

remember as a young pastor,

trying to figure your way out

is you kind of mimic
those that you look up to.

remember as a little boy,

Senior, was our pastor man

because he
clapped when he preached.

Man Sometimes I stole

some of that and I
clap when I preach him.

And I remember Walter
Pryor said he would use language

and tell stories.

And so now I stole
a little bit of that,

Who believes the word of God?

But I need you to know,

I learned the hard way that
you can have the public forum,

because the anointing
is not in the display.

It's not in being lectured.

You only get that
from a sacred place,

that the public demonstration

private consecration

things as the Sons of Shiva,

because what we try to do is
call on somebody else's Jesus

anointing and we even pray

And the crazy thing is,
when he came to the gym,

he came in and a Chicago
Bulls jersey had on a michael

Jordan jersey, had on Jordan
shorts, had on Jordan socks

had on Jordan
shoes had a Jordan bag.
00:09:39.67\00:09:43.55
But the crazy thing
is he had Jordan form,

but he had will produce game.
00:09:48.05\00:09:49.65

In other words,

what he did was he had
the public form of Jordan,

but he was nowhere in
a gym with no one looking

and developing his game
because the game takes time,

the game takes commitment.

do is to look like Mike

just have the form of Jesus.

to have a lot of folks
that have the form of godliness,

but they're going to be
denying the power thereof.
