Sermon #S040 - When God Disrupts Your Contentment - (Part 2) 00:00:06.03\00:00:20.25 Welcome to the Breath of Life Television Ministries broadcast with Pastor Debleaire Snell! 00:00:20.28\00:00:25.65 In today's episode, Pastor Snell will continue part two of the powerful Message titled: 00:00:25.69\00:00:31.63 “When God Disrupts your Contemptment.” Now, let's go deeper into the word of God! 00:00:31.66\00:00:39.30 Pastor Snell: But see, one of the things I need somebody to understand is that sometimes God 00:00:39.33\00:00:53.42 will disrupt your contentment. See, I need somebody to understand the danger of Midian. 00:00:53.45\00:01:00.62 See, Midian is not a bad place. They ain't got no idols. Jethro serves God. But the problem with 00:01:00.66\00:01:09.33 Midian, it is this predictable place. It is this comfortable place. See, the problem is you 00:01:09.36\00:01:17.17 don't get stretched in Midian. You don't get challenged in Midian. The problem is you ain't 00:01:17.21\00:01:23.81 got to pray with perseverance in Midian. See the danger with Midian, it is a place that does 00:01:23.85\00:01:28.78 not require faith. And sometimes you can carve out a niche in life that is so comfortable that 00:01:28.82\00:01:38.63 faith is no longer required and you get content there. And sometimes God has to disrupt 00:01:38.66\00:01:47.14 your contentment and say, I need you to know that God shows up 00:01:47.17\00:01:49.24 there n Midian because he's trying to preserve the remnant of the advocate that remains in 00:01:49.27\00:01:57.25 Moses. He's got to get the fighter that is left before all of the fight and Moses dies. 00:01:57.28\00:02:03.85 Is there anybody that's ever had God disrupt your contentment? 00:02:03.89\00:02:08.42 You see, sometimes we can kind of carve out a borough in life where I'm not stretched, 00:02:08.46\00:02:13.56 where I don't have to advocate for anybody else, where life becomes comfortably predictable, 00:02:13.60\00:02:18.80 where I don't really have to walk by faith, 00:02:18.83\00:02:21.07 where I don't really have to find that level in God that only trouble is able to produce. 00:02:21.10\00:02:28.34 And see, that's why somebody's currently on the verge of having God disrupt your contentment. 00:02:28.38\00:02:37.05 You see, one of the things about contentment if you're not careful is that sometimes your 00:02:37.09\00:02:43.73 comfort will smother your convictions. See there was a point where Moses had conviction 00:02:43.76\00:02:51.20 about the people in Egypt, but it is the comfort of Midian that has smothered nearly to death 00:02:51.23\00:02:59.67 his convictions about being an advocate and a server of an 00:02:59.71\00:03:02.74 oppressed people. And one of the things I want to say today is that somebody is about to have 00:03:02.78\00:03:09.62 an intersection with the most high because you've got content and comfortable with some things 00:03:09.65\00:03:16.83 that are about to smother your convictions. See, the problem is we've got some young people here 00:03:16.86\00:03:23.53 that have just gotten content being out of school but in Huntsville. There are some 00:03:23.57\00:03:36.38 couples that have become content being roommates and not lovers. There are some singles that have 00:03:36.41\00:03:42.72 become content in abusive or toxic relationships. There are some that have gotten content 00:03:42.75\00:03:47.49 living together, unmarried. There are some that have gotten content in a profession that is 00:03:47.52\00:03:52.93 beneath your calling. There are some that have gotten content not coming to church. 00:03:52.96\00:03:58.00 There are some that have gotten content no longer serving in 00:03:58.03\00:04:02.87 ministry. And see sometimes like Moses, God has to throw off the balance sometimes, man, he's got 00:04:02.90\00:04:10.45 to disrupt the calm. Sometimes God has to throw things out of order so that you learn how to 00:04:10.48\00:04:18.39 find your balance in him. [ Congregation: Amen] 00:04:18.42\00:04:20.19 And it's crazy because there almost seems like a contradiction of terms because 00:04:20.22\00:04:23.59 doesn't, the Bible calls us to be content in all things, but I do need to make this quick kind 00:04:23.63\00:04:29.66 of adjustment to your thinking. God calls us to be content in all things but not become 00:04:29.70\00:04:36.14 complacent with everything. [ Congregation: Amen] 00:04:36.17\00:04:38.17 Are you all hearing me today? Friends? So for somebody who's about to have their contentment 00:04:38.21\00:04:43.48 disrupted, I want to just give a few lessons of counsel, then I'm going to take my seat. Is that 00:04:43.51\00:04:47.78 all right today? Church. [ Congregation: All right] 00:04:47.82\00:04:49.52 See there, there are three brief lessons I want to share with you before I sit down today. 00:04:49.55\00:04:51.95 The first thing I want to say to somebody today is be careful not to settle for the first thing 00:04:51.99\00:05:02.00 you're good at. I want to caution somebody not to get too comfortable with the first 00:05:02.03\00:05:10.14 fruits. Oh God. See sometimes when we're trying to discern the will of God and the will of God 00:05:10.17\00:05:17.21 is sometimes unclear, one of the first things that we do is we latch on to the first thing 00:05:17.25\00:05:22.02 or situation that produces some immediate or quick results or 00:05:22.05\00:05:28.42 fruitfulness. And we make the assumption that because this bears fruit first that it's 00:05:28.46\00:05:36.30 supposed to feed us forever. In other words, remember now when Moses was first acting as an 00:05:36.33\00:05:41.17 advocate in Egypt, he is initially burned and turned on by his family members and his 00:05:41.20\00:05:45.84 friends. He is hunted by Pharaoh. And so even though it was the hand of God that leads 00:05:45.87\00:05:53.68 him to the land of Midian, understand that Midian was supposed to be a stop gap. 00:05:53.72\00:06:00.22 Midian was supposed to be a transition space. Midian was supposed to be a holdover. 00:06:00.26\00:06:02.99 But what happened is he confuses the place of preparation as a place of permanence. 00:06:03.02\00:06:11.73 And see, I need somebody to understand the error is this, that what happens is he meets 00:06:11.77\00:06:17.31 his wife there in Midian, he has some kids there in Midian. He has a job that's paid the bills. 00:06:17.34\00:06:22.18 This is the first time he has some family, a sense of belonging, a sense of 00:06:22.21\00:06:28.95 acceptance, a sense of comfort. And he accepts the first circumstances that are good to 00:06:28.98\00:06:36.76 him. And he assumes they're supposed to be permanent for him. And how many of us know 00:06:36.79\00:06:43.87 that there are times where God will place you somewhere temporarily and he will allow 00:06:43.90\00:06:49.40 you to have some fruitfulness in that space so you know that he is with you, but never confuse 00:06:49.44\00:07:00.82 the place of preparation as a place of permanence. You see, why Moses, he's making a living. 00:07:00.85\00:07:08.92 The bills are getting paid. He can literally see himself dying in Midian his wife and he have a 00:07:08.96\00:07:11.43 headstone in Midian. But I need somebody to understand that just because he is being prepared 00:07:11.46\00:07:18.97 doesn't mean he's supposed to stay there permanently. And can I suggest today friends of mine 00:07:19.00\00:07:25.54 that we are some missing, some have missed God's divine will simply because we confused the 00:07:25.57\00:07:27.91 season. We thought this season of fruitful preparation was supposed to be where we were 00:07:27.94\00:07:37.65 supposed to be permanently. And what happened is we confused the first fruits with our lasting 00:07:37.69\00:07:44.96 fruit. Okay. You got to be careful not to settle for first fruits or the first thing you're 00:07:44.99\00:07:51.43 good at, I hate to break it to some of our students, 00:07:51.47\00:07:53.10 but some of the first friends you met here at Oakwood won't be your permanent friends. 00:07:53.13\00:08:00.58 Am I preaching anybody today? 00:08:00.61\00:08:02.88 How many of us understand that some of us were just so glad to have some friends that you try 00:08:02.91\00:08:10.35 to make permanent friends out of those that were supposed to be seasonal friends, God sent them 00:08:10.39\00:08:17.56 to pass through, not to stick to you. Are you all hearing me 00:08:17.59\00:08:19.53 today? See there are some of us that man just chose the first major where it seems to come 00:08:19.56\00:08:24.57 natural to us. And we did not continue on a journey of exploration to try to figure out 00:08:24.60\00:08:32.47 God's divine purpose and calling for us. There are some of us that God assigned to a job just 00:08:32.51\00:08:39.15 as a stop gap measure to help you pay some bills and get through a particular season. But 00:08:39.18\00:08:43.08 because it's enough to survive, you decided you were going to stay there permanently. 00:08:43.12\00:08:46.25 There are some of our young ladies that accepted a date to the first guy that asked to the 00:08:46.29\00:08:52.26 banquet. And some of us carry that same posture to the altar. 00:08:52.29\00:08:55.86 So you'll accept a proposal from the first guy that asks instead of realizing that maybe God has 00:08:55.90\00:09:03.30 something in store, are you all hearing me today? And what I'm saying is that somebody assumes 00:09:03.34\00:09:09.31 that the first thing is the only thing. And even though it's fruitful initially, it does not 00:09:09.34\00:09:15.58 mean that that's where you are supposed to be permanently. See how many of us understand that 00:09:15.62\00:09:23.26 first doesn't mean forever. So sometimes your first friends aren't going to be your forever 00:09:23.29\00:09:27.66 friends. That your first love won't be your forever love. That your first job won't be your 00:09:27.66\00:09:34.80 forever job, that your first ministry might not be your forever ministry. And what Moses 00:09:34.84\00:09:40.91 is teaching us friends, is that sometimes you got to even be willing to pivot away from your 00:09:40.94\00:09:48.52 first love. And let me just say to the pensive and the nervous amongst us that if God can make 00:09:48.55\00:10:03.87 you fruitful in that season, God can make you fruitful in any 00:10:03.90\00:10:07.37 season. [ Congregation: Clapping] 00:10:07.40\00:10:09.04 See, the problem is we confuse the circumstance with the author of the circumstance. 00:10:09.07\00:10:14.54 And so if God can keep you right here, how many of us know that God can keep you wherever he 00:10:14.58\00:10:21.42 places you? And see, and this is why I'm saying you cannot get addicted to the first fruit. 00:10:21.45\00:10:26.12 Are you all here in the past today? In other words, 00:10:26.15\00:10:27.79 you all realize that the fresh fruit was what happened in the 00:10:27.82\00:10:32.19 harvest season. You had first fruit that would break the ground before the rest of the 00:10:32.23\00:10:37.03 harvest. But guess what? When the first fruit broke the ground, they would present them 00:10:37.07\00:10:42.00 as an offering to God. But guess what, man? You celebrated the 00:10:42.04\00:10:44.77 first fruit. Why? Because it was an indication that the rest of the harvest was on the way. 00:10:44.81\00:10:51.45 In other words, you don't sequester the first fruit, you don't herd the first fruit. 00:10:51.48\00:10:56.82 You don't try to eat off the first fruit for the rest of your 00:10:56.85\00:11:00.66 life. It is to build your faith to know that a rest of the harvest is already en route 00:11:00.69\00:11:06.46 and some have missed out on the harvest. Because you still trying to eat on the first 00:11:06.49\00:11:14.00 fruit. Are you hearing me today, my friends? 00:11:14.04\00:11:17.81 And see one of the things I need somebody to get that sometimes when God is calling us to a 00:11:17.84\00:11:22.54 pivot, we lean into the wrong fear. 00:11:22.58\00:11:28.75 See, when God first shows up to Moses, you know what his initial 00:11:28.78\00:11:34.36 fear is? Man, what's going to happen if I leave Midian behind? What's going to happen if I move 00:11:34.39\00:11:44.07 away from the familiar? But do you realize that he was worried about the wrong fear? 00:11:44.10\00:11:47.44 He shouldn't have been worried about what he was going to leave 00:11:47.47\00:11:52.04 behind. He should have been fearing what he would miss out on if he disobeyed God's call. 00:11:52.07\00:11:59.01 Oh God, do you realize that Moses lived one of the most spectacular lives outside of 00:11:59.05\00:12:07.46 anybody but Jesus Christ? Do you realize that if he stayed in Midian, guess what? Then he 00:12:07.49\00:12:13.80 misses the 10 plagues fall on Egypt. If he stays in Midian, guess what? He misses the 00:12:13.83\00:12:20.57 Passover miracle. If he stays in Midian, he never sees God open the Red Sea. He never sees the 00:12:20.60\00:12:27.14 cloud by day and fire by night, he never sees manna fall down from heaven. He never sees water 00:12:27.18\00:12:33.31 come from a rock. He never sees his people leave the land of bondage. The fear should not be 00:12:33.35\00:12:40.42 what am I going to leave behind, the fear ought to be what am I going to miss out on if I stay 00:12:40.46\00:12:46.23 in the familiar. [ Congregation: Clapping] 00:12:46.26\00:12:47.50 He would've missed the miracle of the manna. 00:12:47.50\00:12:49.46 He would've missed the miracle of the water. He would've missed the miracle of the deliveries. 00:12:49.50\00:12:53.84 But do you realize he would've missed out on heaven? [ Congregation: Amen] Oh, God. 00:12:53.87\00:12:59.77 I don't know what he Adventist saw in his room there. Do you realize he would've missed out 00:12:59.81\00:13:04.88 on heaven? Not to say that if he had stayed in Midian, he wouldn't be saved. But if he had 00:13:04.91\00:13:10.95 stayed in Midian, he would still be sleeping. 00:13:10.99\00:13:14.92 How many of us know in Jude, the Bible says that Michael came to resurrect Moses and the devil 00:13:14.96\00:13:24.10 tried to keep him down, but it was the angel of the Lord that said, I rebuke the Satan and he 00:13:24.13\00:13:32.51 took him all the way up. And Moses right now is sitting in the new Jerusalem so that when 00:13:32.54\00:13:41.88 Jesus was transfigured, guess what? Elijah was on one side, Moses was on the other side. 00:13:41.92\00:13:46.05 And the reason he's in the new Jerusalem is because he left old 00:13:46.09\00:13:52.06 Midian. Are you all here in the past of today? [ Congregation: 00:13:52.09\00:13:55.26 Clapping] And what I'm saying to somebody is that your first step toward the new Jerusalem has to 00:13:55.30\00:14:02.80 be a move away from something. Oh, don't miss out on New Jerusalem being loyal to old 00:14:02.84\00:14:08.28 Huntsville. Don't miss out on New Jerusalem being loyal to 00:14:08.31\00:14:12.68 your old friends. Don't miss out on New Jerusalem being loyal to 00:14:12.71\00:14:13.95 your old friends. Don't miss out on new Jerusalem being loyal to 00:14:13.98\00:14:17.45 your old posse. If God is going to get me into new Jerusalem, it's got to start with a new 00:14:17.49\00:14:24.36 thing right now. [ Congregation: Clapping] Are you all hearing me 00:14:24.39\00:14:29.20 today friends. Second thing this story teaches us friends, is that it's never too late to 00:14:29.23\00:14:40.68 pivot. Go with me in your Bibles real quick. Romans chapter 11 00:14:40.71\00:14:44.25 verse 29. One quick verse I want to share with you Romans 11 and 00:14:44.28\00:14:48.38 verse 29. When you get there with that New Testament, say 00:14:48.42\00:14:51.19 amen. [ Congregation: Amen] 00:14:51.22\00:14:52.12 Romans chapter 11 and verse number 29, 00:14:52.15\00:14:55.89 hear the word of the Lord. See one of the things I just taught 00:14:55.92\00:14:59.53 you. Third thing real quick is that it's never too late to pivot. The Bible says for the 00:14:59.56\00:15:05.50 gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Oh God, somebody didn't catch it. Somebody's 00:15:05.53\00:15:17.75 version says the gift or callings of God are without repentance or change. 00:15:17.78\00:15:22.35 See what God is trying to tell us folk, that it doesn't matter how long your gifts have been 00:15:22.38\00:15:29.96 abandoned, God still does not revoke them or repossess them. 00:15:29.99\00:15:40.57 Oh God. In other words, as long as you have breath in your lungs and blood pumping in your veins, 00:15:40.60\00:15:49.31 then God still has a work for you to accomplish. 00:15:49.34\00:15:53.78 See I don't go with some that kind of interpret this text a little bit differently. 00:15:53.82\00:15:59.72 But essentially what it's telling us is that as long as you are living there is time for 00:15:59.75\00:16:07.86 the miraculous to occur in your life. Now it's crazy because some of us, I think we used to 00:16:07.93\00:16:14.14 teach wrongly that if you don't use your gifts, you lose your gifts. No. And it's based on a 00:16:14.17\00:16:20.14 wrong interpretation of the parable of the talents. The one, the man that had the one talent 00:16:20.18\00:16:23.04 had it taken away, but the talent that was taken away is not his spiritual gifts. A 00:16:23.08\00:16:30.12 talent was a portion of money. So what the word is saying is that the gifts and calling of 00:16:30.15\00:16:36.36 God, oh they have no expiration date. They don't spoil, they don't go bad. But as long as you 00:16:36.39\00:16:48.34 are living God is not going to allow your gifts to be wasted. So there is an advocate in Moses 00:16:48.37\00:16:55.64 that's been dormant for 40 years. Now, how many of us understand that when something 00:16:55.68\00:17:01.45 is dormant, it doesn't mean it's dead. And all my nurses and doctors can attest that many of 00:17:01.48\00:17:08.82 us have viruses that are inside of our bodies that are dormant. That they are still there but 00:17:08.86\00:17:17.27 the right confluence of circumstances stirs them into being they are not dead, they 00:17:17.30\00:17:19.37 are just inactive. And what I'm saying is that there are some in the body of Christ that have 00:17:19.40\00:17:26.01 gifts that have been lying dorment. But guess what? They are not dead. And that's why 00:17:26.04\00:17:33.52 Paul says certain gifts, they don't need to be revived, they just need to be stirred up. [ 00:17:33.55\00:17:41.79 Congregation: Cheering] Are you all hearing what I'm saying today my friends? I need to 00:17:41.82\00:17:47.50 share with you a brief quote here from child guidance. Put this up here real quick. I want 00:17:47.50\00:17:54.84 you to see this because I want us to understand what our obligation is unto God. Listen 00:17:54.87\00:18:01.68 what she says, child guidance. Our first duty to God and to our fellow beings is in self what? 00:18:01.71\00:18:03.75 [development] Every faculty with which the creator has endowed us should be cultivated to the 00:18:03.78\00:18:09.98 highest degree of perfection that we may be able to do, the greatest amount of good of which 00:18:10.02\00:18:17.19 we are capable. In other words, friends, I need us again that our first duty to God is not 00:18:17.23\00:18:26.07 righteousness, it's development. It is the right employment of every gift and every faculty 00:18:26.10\00:18:33.14 under which he has allowed us to be a steward. Are you all hearing the pastor today my 00:18:33.17\00:18:39.51 friends? And see, I need us to understand something very, very powerful. So God has put an 00:18:39.55\00:18:51.73 advocate in Moses that is starting to die. But because the gifts are irrevocable, God says, 00:18:51.76\00:18:59.10 I can't let these gifts get spoiled. You know it's interesting how God trained 00:18:59.13\00:19:08.48 Moses. He didn't train Moses and make him bitter in slavery. He let Moses see oppression through 00:19:08.51\00:19:17.85 the viewpoint and the worldview of the oppressors. So what God did was he let Moses figure out 00:19:17.89\00:19:25.06 how Egyptians think. He wanted Moses to learn how they process. He wanted Moses to learn what 00:19:25.09\00:19:31.67 they valued. And so you realize that the Israelites have been in slavery for 400 years. So 00:19:31.70\00:19:38.21 everybody that's in slavery now was born into slavery. Slavery is all that they know in the 00:19:38.24\00:19:40.98 land of Egypt. But because Moses lived as a free man and as a head of state, he has traveled 00:19:41.01\00:19:48.22 outside of Egypt. He knows life outside of Egypt. He has been on some traveling tours in caravans 00:19:48.25\00:19:54.16 so that he knows that there is life outside of slavery. And that's why God could not raise 00:19:54.19\00:20:00.66 up one from the slavery because even when it was time to go, they were nervous because they 00:20:00.70\00:20:07.94 had known anything else. But God trained Moses by expanding his worldview. In fact, the only way 00:20:07.97\00:20:10.47 he knew how to escape to Midian is probably cause he had been there at some point before. Are 00:20:10.51\00:20:14.74 you all hearing what I'm saying? And it's crazy because you realize that God has these 00:20:14.78\00:20:19.88 amazing ways of training us and preparing us. I need somebody to know that God is up to something 00:20:19.91\00:20:28.36 in your life. I need you to know God was not allowing the advocate to die because God made 00:20:28.39\00:20:31.83 him a shepherd. [ Congregation: Amen] So that, guess what? When the wolf came upon the flock, 00:20:31.86\00:20:38.33 guess what? The good shepherd had to advocate and stand up on behalf of the flock. 00:20:38.37\00:20:44.07 That when the sheep fell over by the brook, the advocate had to go and stand up the sheep and 00:20:44.11\00:20:52.55 put him back on all four. That when a shepherd strayed from the flock, the advocate would leave 00:20:52.58\00:20:57.52 the 99 and go in search of the one that strayed and bring him back. Whenever a lion showed up, 00:20:57.55\00:21:02.42 the advocate would take his rod and go to war on behalf of the 00:21:02.46\00:21:07.20 flock. And I need you to know that God was not allowing the advocate to die, but he was 00:21:07.23\00:21:17.31 preparing Moses the entire time. [ Congregation: Amen] 00:21:17.34\00:21:19.04 God says, listen man, I cannot let these gifts be wasted. Are you all hearing me today? 00:21:19.07\00:21:28.02 And see, one of the things I want to say real quick to somebody is that your time in 00:21:28.05\00:21:40.96 Midian has not been wasted. Okay, I'm going to take my time since we started early today. [ 00:21:40.96\00:21:46.20 Congregation: Laughing] No, no. Since you all are not getting it, let me explain that a little 00:21:46.23\00:21:49.64 bit more. Hey, see, is Moses life behind schedule or is his life right on schedule? 00:21:49.67\00:21:59.88 [ Congregation: Right on schedule] 00:21:59.91\00:22:02.05 And the reason I'm saying this is because there are times where I hear somebody say something in 00:22:02.08\00:22:06.55 church and in the general culture and I used to say amen to it, but I don't know if it's 00:22:06.59\00:22:12.26 true anymore Mayan. Sometimes we'll say something like, I should be further along than I 00:22:12.29\00:22:19.13 am right now. And I don't know if I believe that anymore. 00:22:19.17\00:22:22.30 Some of us operate under the assumption that I should be further than where I am 00:22:22.34\00:22:26.51 spiritually and financially and professionally. But if your steps have been ordered by God, 00:22:26.54\00:22:33.38 should you be further than where you are or are you right now where God has already ordained 00:22:33.42\00:22:45.69 for you to become? In other words, friends, I need you to look at it because when we say I 00:22:45.73\00:22:51.80 should be further along by now, we are usually doing that based upon comparison. We're looking 00:22:51.83\00:22:57.81 at ourselves juxtaposed against our peers and our classmates and folk that we grew up with. And 00:22:57.84\00:23:02.11 we say man, because they're at that place that I should be at that place. But how many of us 00:23:02.14\00:23:07.58 know that if God orders my steps, he orders my stops, he orders my delays that he is the 00:23:07.62\00:23:13.22 author of everything [ Congregation: Clapping] 00:23:13.25\00:23:15.69 that is it work in my life. 00:23:15.72\00:23:17.86 See, to suggest that I should be further along by now is to suggest that God didn't know 00:23:17.89\00:23:24.27 that you would mess up, that he didn't know your mistakes, that he would not take into account 00:23:24.30\00:23:28.64 your fears. But how many of us know that all things work together for good to them that 00:23:28.67\00:23:36.54 love God and are called according to your purpose. So God knew every mess up and he 00:23:36.58\00:23:47.26 took it all into consideration. What do you mean pastor? God called Samson to kill the 00:23:47.29\00:23:59.50 Philistines. He took his holler tree into consideration so that even though he had messed up, he 00:23:59.53\00:24:06.84 still found his way by some pillars and his hair began to grow back and he killed more in 00:24:06.88\00:24:16.38 his death than he killed in his living. God told Peter, you are going to deny me three times. 00:24:16.42\00:24:21.96 But he says, when you are converted, I want you to strengthen your brethren. 00:24:21.99\00:24:27.40 Remember God allowed Joseph to go to the pit and into the jail, but God was still taking what 00:24:27.46\00:24:33.90 his brothers meant for evil and turning it around and using it for good. God took Saul's gift 00:24:33.94\00:24:40.34 that was persecuting the church knocked him off of his high horse and turned him around in 00:24:40.38\00:24:46.75 the direction of what God had planned for him. How many of us know that when Jehovah is your 00:24:46.78\00:24:57.69 GPS, you can never be lost. Oh God, I'm going to preach it if it am all by myself. When God is 00:24:57.73\00:25:04.90 your GPS, guess what? You can't never be lost. Sometimes I drive with my GPS on even when I know 00:25:04.93\00:25:09.90 where I'm going. And so sometimes it'll tell me to go left and I'll decide to go 00:25:09.94\00:25:14.74 right. But because the GPS has taken every road into a consideration, guess what? 00:25:14.78\00:25:21.18 It knows everywhere you turn. So when you go the wrong way, the GPS doesn't say I quit. 00:25:21.22\00:25:27.46 [ Congregation: Laughing] 00:25:27.49\00:25:29.32 It doesn't say I'm done. It doesn't say they too stupid. It doesn't say they won't listen to 00:25:29.36\00:25:34.93 me. It doesn't say I'm done with them. It just keeps recalculating and recalculating 00:25:34.96\00:25:45.84 and recalculating. And the further wrong I go, the more it recalculates me and gets me 00:25:45.87\00:25:57.09 where I was supposed to be in the first place. So I still wind up at my destination. Are you 00:25:57.12\00:26:07.40 all hearing the preacher this afternoon? Have you ever wondered why life is so painful? 00:26:07.46\00:26:15.60 Have you ever questioned whether or not the pain will ever end? Have you ever just stood in need 00:26:15.64\00:26:22.61 of some hope? I want you to know that trouble won't last Always.
