Sermon #S039 - That Wasn't Part Of The Agenda - (Part 2) 00:00:05.63\00:00:19.71 Welcome to the Breath of Life Television Ministries broadcast with Pastor Debleaire Snell! 00:00:19.75\00:00:24.95 In today's episode, Pastor Snell will continue part two of the powerful Message entitled: 00:00:24.99\00:00:31.06 “That Wasn't on The Agenda.” Now, let's go deeper into the 00:00:31.09\00:00:36.03 word of God! Pastor Snell: See friends, our flesh is so powerful. It is so strong. 00:00:36.06\00:00:40.60 It is so desensitized that it cannot be trained just by choice and good intention. 00:00:40.64\00:00:47.61 Sometimes it is the burden that trains the flesh. It is the burden that disrupts the flesh. 00:00:47.64\00:00:53.98 It is the burden that God lays upon us that moves us 00:00:54.02\00:00:57.52 into a posture of prayerfulness that we would not seek outside 00:00:57.55\00:01:02.76 of that burden. Are you hearing me today? And see, I need us to know that every now 00:01:02.79\00:01:05.39 and then God has to kind of draw you as the prophet says, "outside of yourself." 00:01:05.43\00:01:11.00 So that you can become intensely interested in the salvation of 00:01:11.03\00:01:15.80 others, because in a life where you don't have to lift something 00:01:15.84\00:01:19.84 for somebody else and you don't have to carry something for somebody else and you don't have 00:01:19.87\00:01:25.95 to bear something for somebody else. What happens is we live a self-centered life that leaves 00:01:25.98\00:01:34.12 us estranged from the most high. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:01:34.16\00:01:35.62 And let me just share with you a quick quote here, Desire of 00:01:35.66\00:01:39.76 Ages, page 781. Hopefully, this will come up here in just a 00:01:39.79\00:01:42.10 second. Desire of Ages, 771, 00:01:42.13\00:01:44.03 because I want you to see what a difference the burden actually makes in the life of the 00:01:44.07\00:01:50.47 believer. Are you with me today, Friends? Listen, Desire of Ages, excuse me, page 742. She 00:01:50.51\00:01:56.71 literally says, "At this time, a stranger Simon, 00:01:56.75\00:01:58.65 a Cyrenian, coming from the country meets the throng. He hears the taunts of ribaldry to 00:01:58.68\00:02:04.49 the crowd and he hears the words contemptuously repeated, 'Make way for the King of the Jews!' 00:02:04.52\00:02:09.46 He stops in astonishment at the scene and he expresses his compassion as they seize him 00:02:09.49\00:02:14.36 and place a cross upon his wide shoulders. 00:02:14.36\00:02:19.07 Simon had heard of Jesus. His sons were believers in the Savior but he himself was not a 00:02:19.10\00:02:26.64 what? [Congregation: [disciple]] 00:02:26.68\00:02:27.54 Bearing the cross to Calvary... 00:02:27.58\00:02:31.25 [Congregation: Wow.] 00:02:31.28\00:02:32.75 ...was a blessing to Simon. He was ever after grateful for this 00:02:32.78\00:02:40.46 providence, it led him to take upon himself the cross of Christ from choice and ever cheerfully 00:02:40.49\00:02:52.80 stand beneath its burden. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:02:52.83\00:02:54.30 In other words, it was carrying the cross that made him choose 00:02:54.34\00:03:02.14 the cross. [Congregation: Yeah!] 00:03:02.18\00:03:04.48 Are you all hearing me today, friends? And see, now, as I'm looking at this thing, I'm 00:03:04.51\00:03:07.68 trying to figure out, okay? How does my man Simon decide by carrying the cross to become a 00:03:07.72\00:03:14.26 lifelong disciple? Can I just talk for a quick moment and I'm 00:03:14.29\00:03:17.03 done? See, one of the things I like about Simon, friends, is he meets Jesus at the cross, not in 00:03:17.06\00:03:25.87 a crisis. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:03:25.90\00:03:29.10 So, let's meet your boy Simon in a time when most 00:03:29.14\00:03:32.34 people did not travel more than 20 miles outside of where they 00:03:32.37\00:03:36.51 lived. We know that Simon was a person of some means 00:03:36.54\00:03:39.55 because he's literally traveling from one country to the next that he has some means to be 00:03:39.58\00:03:47.46 able to move about. And see, the reason I need you to know is that it is a crisis for Jesus, 00:03:47.49\00:03:53.96 but it is not a crisis for Simon. In other words, he got some money in the bank, he got 00:03:54.00\00:04:00.70 kids and grandkids. He's got some things going for him but he meets him at the cross, not a 00:04:00.74\00:04:05.74 crisis. Now, the question is, have you ever wondered why certain people in the Bible are 00:04:05.77\00:04:13.25 named by name and some are only known by their condition? 00:04:13.28\00:04:16.25 [Congregation: Oh...] 00:04:16.28\00:04:18.55 Now again, I don't have an exact answer but the reason certain names we know, we know Lazarus, 00:04:18.59\00:04:25.19 and we know Mary, and we know Martha, and we know Nicodemus 00:04:25.23\00:04:29.60 and we know Simon when they didn't really do anything all that extraordinary, 00:04:29.63\00:04:34.80 but guess what? We never know the name of the woman with the 00:04:34.84\00:04:38.77 issue of blood. We don't know the name of the man with the 00:04:38.81\00:04:41.91 withered hand. We don't know the name of the 10 lepers who were 00:04:41.94\00:04:45.91 healed by Jesus. And again, I don't want to state this as a 00:04:45.95\00:04:48.35 doctrine but one scholar begins to suggest the reason that some are known only by condition is 00:04:48.38\00:04:55.12 because as soon as their condition was reversed, they stopped following the Lord. 00:04:55.16\00:05:02.00 But those whose names are known were recorded because they continue to abide in a 00:05:02.03\00:05:11.27 relationship with the Lord. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:05:11.31\00:05:13.38 In other words, see, the problem, when you meet Jesus in a crisis, is that as soon as the 00:05:13.41\00:05:20.32 crisis is averted, then guess what? 00:05:20.35\00:05:22.18 Your need for the Savior dissipates. And let me suggest that a crisis can lead you to 00:05:22.22\00:05:29.02 Jesus, but it's the cross that fastens you to the Lord. 00:05:29.06\00:05:32.53 [Congregation: Affirming 00:05:32.56\00:05:34.30 In other words, what makes the difference for Simon is that he, like Nicodemus, like Mary, 00:05:34.30\00:05:39.93 who was there on the resurrection. 00:05:39.97\00:05:42.17 What may have compelled them to become lifelong followers of Jesus is that they had an 00:05:42.20\00:05:50.18 experience that was beyond an uncomfortable circumstance. They had an experience that had its 00:05:50.21\00:06:00.59 genesis or its roots in the foundation of the cross. Are you hearing me today, friends? 00:06:00.62\00:06:02.19 [Congregation: Affirming] 00:06:02.22\00:06:03.83 In other words, friends, it didn't begin with a need. It began with a cross. 00:06:03.86\00:06:08.36 See, I need us to get that miracle Saints will shout for a season, but crucified Saints 00:06:08.40\00:06:19.71 shout for a lifetime. See the question then begs, why say it gently? Why are we so 00:06:19.74\00:06:31.12 inconsistent? Why is our spiritual life fluctuating so 00:06:31.15\00:06:34.26 much? Why is there so much vacillation in our walk with God? Why is it one step forward 00:06:34.29\00:06:39.83 on Sabbath and 6 steps backward on Sunday? 00:06:39.86\00:06:41.96 Like why is there so much back and forth and hot and cold? 00:06:42.00\00:06:45.40 Like why is there no consistent incline in the walk of most people's walk with Jesus? 00:06:45.43\00:06:51.14 And the reason is that some of us have met Jesus in a crisis. 00:06:51.17\00:06:56.48 Some have met Jesus just threw a religious cultural upbringing. 00:06:56.51\00:07:01.25 But the reason sometimes it never sticks is because we've never met Jesus at the foot of 00:07:01.28\00:07:08.36 the cross. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:07:08.39\00:07:10.43 See for most of us, religion is about what Jesus can do, but real religion is about what He 00:07:10.46\00:07:20.47 already did. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:07:20.50\00:07:23.30 See, for most of us, our praise is on hold because we're waiting to see what He's going to do 00:07:23.34\00:07:30.08 next. But I got a reason to praise Him every day of my life. 00:07:30.11\00:07:34.28 [Congregation: Cheering] 00:07:34.32\00:07:37.25 Because of what he's already done. And see, within all of the miasmas of religion friends, 00:07:37.29\00:07:44.23 you cannot let the cross get lost in it. 00:07:44.26\00:07:48.96 So, there are some of us that read the book of Revelation, 00:07:49.00\00:07:51.70 we know the signs and we know the plagues and we know the 00:07:51.73\00:07:57.21 144,000 and we know The Beast but we don't know The Lamb. 00:07:57.24\00:08:00.41 [Congregation: Affirming] 00:08:00.44\00:08:02.28 We got some Vault man that understands the sanctuary, and its intricacies. We know the 00:08:02.31\00:08:06.55 veil. We know how tall it was and how wide it was but we ain't never been to the altar. 00:08:06.58\00:08:11.85 Do you realize that for most folk the cross is an accessory? 00:08:11.89\00:08:18.59 [Congregation: Affirming] 00:08:18.63\00:08:21.36 Not just in style, but also in theology. For most folk, 00:08:21.40\00:08:25.43 the cross is just something I put around my neck or tattooed on my arm or a plug in my ears, 00:08:25.47\00:08:33.68 but until the cross becomes the object of your constant 00:08:33.71\00:08:40.35 meditation, [Congregation: Cheering] 00:08:40.38\00:08:41.52 it will have no transforming effect upon your life. 00:08:41.55\00:08:45.19 Even when you look at most contemporary gospel music, it says stuff about everything but 00:08:45.22\00:08:51.19 the cross. Most contemporary music is about my blessing and my harvest and my breakthrough 00:08:51.23\00:08:58.77 and me reaching out and getting mine. Where are the songs that sing about the old rugged cross? 00:08:58.80\00:09:03.91 [Congregation: Cheering] 00:09:03.94\00:09:05.74 Are you all hearing me today friends? So, the question then 00:09:05.77\00:09:08.51 becomes friends is how then do I know if I'm experiencing genuine 00:09:08.54\00:09:13.98 conversion? See, I need you to know that if you're being converted, guess what? It 00:09:14.02\00:09:19.29 doesn't begin with a need or a deficit. It doesn't begin with a bill or a disease or even if it 00:09:19.32\00:09:23.76 starts that way, it's completed when you experience crucifixion. 00:09:23.79\00:09:28.23 [Congregation: Affirming] 00:09:28.26\00:09:29.96 So, let me ask you this, friends, is our practice more to be crucified or to be exalted? 00:09:30.00\00:09:37.87 Can we go to the Bible for a moment? I'm almost done. Can we 00:09:37.91\00:09:41.21 go to the Bible? Let's go into the good book. Galatians 2:20. There are some things I need you 00:09:41.24\00:09:48.02 to know because we need to change the theme of our religious meditation. In fact, 00:09:48.05\00:09:52.99 I'm looking at some, don't wait for it to come up on the screen. Open your Bibles. Galatians 00:09:53.02\00:10:02.60 2:20. Are you all with the pastor today? [Congregation: 00:10:02.63\00:10:04.10 Affirming] I'm talking about what your ambitions ought to be in Christ. Galatians 2:20. 00:10:04.13\00:10:10.81 When you get it, let me hear you say, amen. 00:10:10.84\00:10:12.81 [Congregation: Amen] 00:10:12.84\00:10:14.38 The Bible says I have been crucified with Christ. It is no 00:10:14.41\00:10:21.82 longer I who live, but it is Christ that lives in me, and the life which I now live in the 00:10:21.85\00:10:27.16 flesh, I now live by faith in the Son of God, 00:10:27.19\00:10:29.56 who loved me and gave himself for me, are you all hearing me 00:10:29.59\00:10:33.53 today, friends? [Congregation: Affirming] 00:10:33.56\00:10:35.66 See, I need you to know that you hadn't been converted if after you met Christ, all you did was 00:10:35.70\00:10:42.77 amend your life. If all you did was adjust your life, know that old life had to be crucified and 00:10:42.80\00:10:51.48 I get a new start and the life that I live in this body, it is the spirit of God that resides 00:10:51.51\00:11:00.62 in me and I'm a new person in him. Are you all hearing me 00:11:00.66\00:11:01.72 today? [Congregation: Affirming] 00:11:01.76\00:11:03.73 In other words, it's my goal to glorify myself or to crucify the flesh. Let's go over to 00:11:03.76\00:11:11.37 Galatians 6:14. When you get there, let me hear you say, 00:11:11.40\00:11:13.23 amen. [Congregation: Amen.] 00:11:13.27\00:11:15.07 Galatians 6:14, in other words, for a believer, not about my empire. It's not about my name. 00:11:15.10\00:11:21.24 It's not about my reputation. If I'm in Christ, I got one brag in 00:11:21.28\00:11:27.58 my spirit. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:11:27.62\00:11:29.58 Galatians 6:14. Look at this. But God forbid that I should boast. Are you all hearing me 00:11:29.62\00:11:38.39 today? [Congregation: Affirming] 00:11:38.43\00:11:39.93 He says, God forbid if I boast except in the cross of our Lord, 00:11:39.96\00:11:48.20 Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me and I to the world. I don't know if 00:11:48.24\00:11:54.68 you're all hearing the pastor today. Do you realize that you want to have one brag in your 00:11:54.71\00:11:57.68 spirit? And your brag ought to not be about what you drive, your brag ought not to be about 00:11:57.71\00:12:03.32 what you wear, your brag ought not to be about how many letters are behind your name, 00:12:03.35\00:12:06.22 I've got one boast and it is in the work that Jesus did at the cross. Are you hearing me today? 00:12:06.25\00:12:14.23 [Congregation: Cheering] 00:12:14.30\00:12:15.23 All right, can we go a little bit further? 00:12:15.26\00:12:17.33 See, one of the ways you know you're being converted is that you use the right metrics to 00:12:17.37\00:12:24.04 establish whether or not you're saved, right? Can we go to the book? Go with me, if you don't 00:12:24.07\00:12:38.15 mind, over here to Titus 3:3 and 7. Are you all hearing the 00:12:38.19\00:12:39.82 pastor today? [Congregation: Affirming] 00:12:39.85\00:12:40.79 When you get there, let me hear you say amen. 00:12:40.82\00:12:42.92 [Congregation: Amen.] 00:12:42.96\00:12:44.29 I'm going to tell you why it is that I'm having you read this 00:12:44.33\00:12:46.06 verse because most of us when I ask you, "Are you saved?" 00:12:46.09\00:12:49.80 the first thing you do is start thinking about how good you've 00:12:49.83\00:12:55.24 been. [Congregation: Oh.] 00:12:55.27\00:12:57.21 When I asked you, "Are you saved?" you immediately begin to start weighing your good versus 00:12:57.24\00:13:02.71 your bad. But do you realize, that is a faulty metric to measure how saved you actually 00:13:02.74\00:13:11.25 are? [Congregation: Amen.] 00:13:11.29\00:13:13.42 Because guess what, man, it is not by our deeds that we are saved. When I'm trying to figure 00:13:13.46\00:13:20.83 out how saved I am, I don't look at how good I've been. I look at 00:13:20.86\00:13:27.27 how good He is. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:13:27.30\00:13:29.30 Okay. You all don't believe it. Titus 3:3. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, 00:13:29.34\00:13:35.84 deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one 00:13:35.88\00:13:43.25 another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, anybody 00:13:43.28\00:13:50.89 thankful that it appeared today, not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but 00:13:50.93\00:13:57.70 according to His mercy, He has saved us through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of 00:13:57.73\00:14:06.31 the Holy Spirit, whom He has poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ, our 00:14:06.34\00:14:18.59 Savior, that having been justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to 00:14:18.62\00:14:25.26 the promise of hope of eternal life. Are you all hearing me today, friends? [Congregation: 00:14:25.29\00:14:27.20 Affirming] In other words, friends, I need us to understand the reason we don't have the joy 00:14:27.23\00:14:31.30 of salvation is because we don't have no assurance in salvation. See the problem is, when you 00:14:31.33\00:14:37.44 ain't got no assurance of salvation, what happens is you go from being saved to lost 7 00:14:37.47\00:14:45.25 times in the same day based upon how good or bad you have been. But how many of us know that if 00:14:45.28\00:14:50.42 you have the Son, then guess what? You have life. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:14:50.45\00:14:51.92 The Bible says, "For God so loved the world," ain't this 00:14:51.95\00:14:55.26 good news? Stop frowning up your faces. "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten 00:14:55.29\00:15:02.10 Son, that whosoever believes shall not perish but have everlasting life." Are you all 00:15:02.13\00:15:09.00 hearing the word today friends? [Congregation: Cheering] 00:15:09.04\00:15:11.24 Last thing, Revelation 5:11. Go over there to the last book of the Bible. Everybody will be 00:15:11.27\00:15:19.41 able to find this one, When you get there, let me hear you say 00:15:19.45\00:15:21.02 amen. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:15:21.05\00:15:23.32 In other words, when you want to know if you're being converted 00:15:23.35\00:15:26.29 first, you got to look at the metrics of your salvation. You've got to look at whether or 00:15:26.32\00:15:32.23 not you're trying to be glorified or crucified but one of the things that is the truest 00:15:32.26\00:15:39.07 measure is you find out by actually seeing what is the cause of praise in your life. 00:15:39.10\00:15:48.31 Revelation 5:11. This is a scene in heaven and we see what calls for the worship in glory. In 00:15:48.34\00:15:51.28 Revelation 5:11, when you get there, let me hear you say amen. [Congregation: Amen] 00:15:51.31\00:15:53.38 "Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures 00:15:53.42\00:15:57.62 and the elders. And the number of them was 10,000 times 10,000 and thousands of thousands 00:15:57.65\00:16:03.79 saying with a...? [Congregation: Loud voice.] 00:16:03.83\00:16:05.46 Loud voice. Can I just say something real quick? That heaven is a loud place. 00:16:05.49\00:16:12.20 [Congregation: Cheering] 00:16:12.23\00:16:14.50 And if you don't like a loud church, it might be hot where you're going. Oh, you're not 00:16:14.54\00:16:21.21 hearing what I'm saying. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:16:21.24\00:16:22.68 It's going to be mighty quiet down there. And they said with a 00:16:22.71\00:16:29.38 loud voice, worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, 00:16:29.42\00:16:39.86 and strength, and glory and blessing. Did you all hear the 00:16:39.89\00:16:44.90 pastor today? [Congregation: Affirming] 00:16:44.93\00:16:46.57 In other words, the reason for worship in heaven is not just that the Lamb provided. 00:16:46.60\00:16:51.94 It's not that he protected. It is not that he supplied but it was that the Lamb was slain. 00:16:51.97\00:17:00.92 [Congregation: Cheering] 00:17:00.95\00:17:02.85 Is there anybody that can just take a moment to say I'm not just going to wait until he 00:17:02.88\00:17:07.46 provides? I'm not just going to wait until I get a man. I'm not just going to wait till I get 00:17:07.49\00:17:13.66 some more money. I'm not just going to wait till I get a promotion. I've got a different 00:17:13.70\00:17:19.90 reason to praise him. [Congregation: Clapping] 00:17:19.93\00:17:22.00 See, some wait till the choir starts singing good. Some wait until the preaching gets good, 00:17:22.04\00:17:27.18 but guess what? When you know the Lamb has been slain, you don't start worship when the 00:17:27.21\00:17:34.35 church starts. You continue worship that started while you were still at home because glory 00:17:34.38\00:17:43.02 is called forth because the Lamb was slain. 00:17:43.06\00:17:45.29 [Congregation: Clapping] 00:17:45.33\00:17:47.30 Are you all hearing me today, friends? So your boy, Simon? He didn't ask for this. 00:17:47.36\00:17:55.74 I'm going over my time, but pray for me for a second. He didn't 00:17:55.77\00:18:02.78 ask for this. They see Him sympathizing and they say, "All right since you're going to be 00:18:02.81\00:18:07.85 down with him? You carry it." [Congregation: Laughing] 00:18:07.88\00:18:09.78 So that's what happens I need you to see something happen literally in the physical 00:18:09.82\00:18:12.62 picture or image that Jesus is in front of Simon in chains. And Simon is carrying the cross 00:18:12.65\00:18:22.13 behind him. So, every time Jesus turns, Simon turns because the weight of the cross is so heavy, 00:18:22.16\00:18:30.64 he can't even really hold his head up. All he can do is look and step in the footprints of 00:18:30.67\00:18:38.25 Jesus Christ. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:18:38.28\00:18:41.68 In this story, you see both justifications, he is crucified, 00:18:41.72\00:18:46.72 then you see sanctification as he follows in the footsteps of 00:18:46.76\00:18:53.50 Jesus Christ. So, when Jesus turns, he turns, when Jesus moves, he moves. He can't look 00:18:53.53\00:19:00.97 up and figure his own way. All he can do is follow in the bloody footsteps of Jesus 00:19:01.00\00:19:06.34 Christ. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:19:06.37\00:19:08.11 One of his first spiritual lessons is not to follow the crowd but to follow Jesus. 00:19:08.14\00:19:16.72 [Congregation: Cheering] 00:19:16.75\00:19:18.42 Why is that important? Because after Jesus is resurrected, and he goes back to glory, 00:19:18.45\00:19:22.16 because he started following Jesus, he's going to keep on 00:19:22.19\00:19:27.36 following Jesus. See, I need you to know, friends, that in your sanctification journey, 00:19:27.40\00:19:30.60 you've got to follow Jesus more than you follow the people. 00:19:30.63\00:19:34.44 [Congregation: Affirming] 00:19:34.47\00:19:37.24 Because if you don't follow Jesus, you'll get offended by 00:19:37.27\00:19:43.21 people and leave. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:19:43.24\00:19:45.45 See Simon didn't start out following Peter, because when he found out Peter was a bigoted, 00:19:45.48\00:19:54.76 racist, good for nothing, he would have walked out of the church, but he didn't come into 00:19:54.79\00:19:59.76 the church after Peter. He came in following Jesus. 00:19:59.79\00:20:01.90 [Congregation: Cheering] 00:20:01.93\00:20:03.47 And you've got to follow Jesus, even when the crowd doesn't follow Him no more. 00:20:03.50\00:20:08.67 And watch this, friends. So again, Jesus is in front of him. 00:20:08.70\00:20:13.91 Now, you've got to remember, Jesus has been beaten and flogged all night with the 00:20:13.94\00:20:19.08 cat-o'-nine-tails so that, guess what it means, Jesus has wounds and scars by all of his major 00:20:19.11\00:20:25.62 arteries and blood vessels inside of his body. And because Jesus is fatigued... You know, 00:20:25.65\00:20:32.26 friends, most people would actually live on the cross for days. [Congregation: Murmuring] 00:20:32.29\00:20:33.80 But one of the reasons that Jesus only lasted on the cross 00:20:33.83\00:20:36.53 is a few hours is because he's been bleeding all night long. And you know, that when, am I 00:20:36.56\00:20:43.67 telling the truth, Doc? That when your heart is pumping because of movement, more blood 00:20:43.71\00:20:51.15 begins to gush from your body. So, we just talked about a bloody cross, but Jesus has 00:20:51.18\00:20:58.45 created a bloody path. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:20:58.49\00:21:00.82 So, he's not just walking in His footsteps but his feet 00:21:00.86\00:21:05.53 or his sandals are getting covered from toe to heel in the blood of Jesus Christ. 00:21:05.56\00:21:17.01 [Congregation: Affirming] 00:21:17.04\00:21:18.74 Why is that important? So, his whole foot, his entire sandal has blood all over it, Doc. 00:21:18.77\00:21:26.35 And it's crazy because when he goes home later that day and he gets to his son's house, guess 00:21:26.38\00:21:32.12 what? The servant is going to meet him at the door and get ready to wash his feet. 00:21:32.15\00:21:37.76 [Congregation: Yeah.] 00:21:37.79\00:21:39.29 And I learned that ancient servants then and even now where 00:21:39.33\00:21:42.36 they still do it, they are so skilled at their job that they can actually tell where you've 00:21:42.40\00:21:51.64 been by looking at what kind of dirt is on your feet. 00:21:51.67\00:21:53.11 [Congregation: Yeah.] 00:21:53.14\00:21:56.34 So that if he had come through Egypt, he would have dark soil 00:21:56.38\00:22:02.18 all over his feet. If he had come by the Dead Sea, he would have orange soil over his feet 00:22:02.22\00:22:09.56 because the saline count is so high. If he had come through Damascus, he would have bright 00:22:09.59\00:22:16.67 red soil all over his feet. If he had come by Jericho, he would have powdery white soil all over 00:22:16.70\00:22:24.57 his feet. But when he sits down to get the dirt washed off of his feet, the servant is getting 00:22:24.61\00:22:33.08 ready to guess where he's come from by seeing what kind of dirt he has but guess what? The 00:22:33.11\00:22:35.12 servant can't see no dirt. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:22:35.15\00:22:37.29 The servant can't find no dirt. He can't tell where he's come from because it's all covered in 00:22:37.32\00:22:45.99 the blood of Jesus. [Congregation: Clapping] 00:22:46.03\00:22:49.90 Hey, anybody thankful when they tried to unearth your dirt, they tried to inspect your past, 00:22:49.93\00:22:59.07 they want to know where you came from, they want to know what to did wrong, they want to know 00:22:59.11\00:23:07.45 what you used to be? They can't find out because your past has been washed, covered, and 00:23:07.48\00:23:20.93 enveloped in the blood of Jesus. [Congregation: Cheering] 00:23:20.96\00:23:22.63 What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? 00:23:22.66\00:23:31.24 Nothing but the blood of Jesus. There was a fountain and it's filled with blood and it flows 00:23:31.27\00:23:41.42 from Emmanuel's veins and sinners plunge beneath that flood and they lose all their 00:23:41.45\00:23:54.73 guilty stains. [Congregation: Affirming] 00:23:54.73\00:23:57.30 So, when you get converted to Christ, there's always somebody that wants to say, "I knew you 00:23:57.33\00:24:04.47 back when. Well, you got to them church folk fooled but I knew you right back then." 00:24:04.51\00:24:08.71 And it's going to be always somebody having a conversation 00:24:08.74\00:24:13.21 about your past. But guess what? Where it counts, it ain't being discussed. Because it's covered 00:24:13.25\00:24:29.30 completely, drowned, erased, immersed in the blood, if you're thankful for the blood, somebody 00:24:29.33\00:24:33.00 shout hallelujah today. [Congregation: Hallelujah.] 00:24:33.03\00:24:34.84 You ever dreaded the start of a new week?
