I'm going to invite you to go with me, your Bibles to Exodus chapter 12. 00:00:42.00\00:00:47.44 And we're going to begin together at verse number one 00:00:47.48\00:00:55.88 Exodus chapter 12. And we're looking together at verse number one. When you get there, say, 00:00:55.92\00:01:02.52 pastor, I'm ready. Exodus 12:1. No say this. When you get there, say, 'Pastor, I'm on the verge'. 00:01:02.56\00:01:08.83 [Congregation: Pastor, I'm on the verge] 00:01:08.86\00:01:10.70 Amen. Amen Exodus 12:1. I'm going to invite those who are on the outside if you want to go 00:01:10.73\00:01:19.71 ahead and slip on in. And those who may need to slip out if you can do that. So it's to minimize 00:01:19.74\00:01:26.45 distraction. Those who need to slip on in do so at this time. Exodus 12:1. The Bible says, now 00:01:26.48\00:01:33.62 the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying This month shall be the 00:01:33.66\00:01:39.79 beginning of months and it shall be the first month of the year to you. This is an Israel-like 00:01:39.83\00:01:44.93 New year. Y'all catching this. This is how they start the new 00:01:44.97\00:01:47.20 year. It says, speak to all the congregation of Israel saying on the 10th of this month, 00:01:47.24\00:01:53.01 every man shall take for himself a what? A lamb according to the house of his father, 00:01:53.04\00:01:59.68 a lamb for a household. And if the household is too small for 00:01:59.71\00:02:04.85 the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of 00:02:04.89\00:02:12.36 persons according to each man's need. You shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be 00:02:12.39\00:02:20.40 without blemish a male of the first year and you may take it from sheep or the goats. Now you 00:02:20.44\00:02:28.48 shall keep it until the 14th day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the 00:02:28.51\00:02:35.95 congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight and they shall take some of the blood and 00:02:35.98\00:02:40.69 put it on the two door posts and on the lentil of the houses where they eat, then they shall 00:02:40.72\00:02:47.86 eat of the flesh on that night, roasted in fire with unleavened bread, with what kind of herbs? 00:02:47.86\00:02:56.40 Bitter herbs, they shall eat it. Do not eat it raw nor boiled with water, but roasted with 00:02:56.44\00:03:05.68 fire. Its head with its leg and its entrails. And you shall let none of it remain until morning 00:03:05.71\00:03:14.09 and what remains of it Until morning, you shall burn with fire and thus you shall eat it 00:03:14.12\00:03:19.73 with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, your staff in your hand. So you shall eat 00:03:19.76\00:03:29.30 it in haste for it is the Lord's Passover for I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night 00:03:29.34\00:03:36.11 and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast and against 00:03:36.14\00:03:43.08 all the gods of Egypt. I will execute judgment for I am the Lord. Now the blood shall be 00:03:43.12\00:03:51.76 assigned for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you 00:03:51.79\00:03:58.90 and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you. When I strike the land of Egypt, in 00:03:58.93\00:04:06.07 verse 14 says, so this day shall be to you for a memorial and you shall keep it as a feast unto 00:04:06.11\00:04:15.52 the Lord. Throughout your generations today's saints, I want to talk to you for a little 00:04:15.55\00:04:24.93 while under the subject, what to do when you're on the verge of something. I want to talk about 00:04:24.96\00:04:34.77 what to do when you're on the verge of something. Let's pray together. Father, in our text, 00:04:34.80\00:04:43.91 we were glad that on that night you passed over, but in this service, we're asking for you to 00:04:43.95\00:04:49.08 stop by. We pray that you would make thy presence so dense in this space that it smothers all 00:04:49.12\00:04:55.96 riving principalities. And so Father, I'm praying that in the hearing of the word that faith 00:04:55.99\00:05:00.90 will be multiplied exponentially. Lord, there is somebody that is on the verge of 00:05:00.93\00:05:05.93 something and they need a push. They need a prompting, they need a directive. Lord, would you 00:05:05.97\00:05:11.24 give clear instructions to your people? And so Lord, would you hide in the shadows of the cross 00:05:11.27\00:05:17.08 that Jesus alone might be seen, that Christ alone would be heard? And at the end of our 00:05:17.11\00:05:20.88 time together, may Jesus alone be praised. We ask this in the name of him who is altogether 00:05:20.92\00:05:22.45 lovely. It is in the name of Jesus that we pray. Let those who believe say together. Amen 00:05:22.48\00:05:40.00 and amen. [Congregation: Amen] You may be seated in the house of the Lord today. Invite you to 00:05:40.04\00:05:54.18 come in quickly and be settled Again talking to you under the subject what to do when you're 00:05:54.22\00:06:07.56 on the verge of something. You know, church, I believe that most of us listening today are 00:06:07.60\00:06:14.50 on the verge of something. I believe that some of us are on the verge of the supernatural. I 00:06:14.54\00:06:20.28 believe that this year somebody's health is going to be restored. I believe this year 00:06:20.31\00:06:25.75 somebody's marriage is going to take form. I believe this year somebody's vision will become 00:06:25.78\00:06:35.96 reality. I believe this year that miracles are going to take place. I believe that this year, 00:06:35.99\00:06:43.37 this church and these institutions will reach new heights previously unseen. I 00:06:43.40\00:06:54.84 believe that somebody is on the verge of something big. And the reason that what I believe 00:06:54.88\00:07:01.65 sounds like hype is because you don't believe you're looking at me crazy because of what I 00:07:01.68\00:07:06.55 believe. And I'm looking at you crazy because you don't believe it. [Congregation: Amen] 00:07:06.59\00:07:07.62 And the reason that God led us into this series is 00:07:07.66\00:07:10.83 because the truth is most people don't know how to navigate the space of being on the verge of 00:07:10.86\00:07:19.70 something. In fact, friends, your Bible is filled with people who were on the verge of a move 00:07:19.73\00:07:26.04 of God and did not know what to do with the opportunity. You see in the book of numbers, 00:07:26.07\00:07:31.58 we find Israel on the verge of crossing into the promised land before their faith collapsed 00:07:31.61\00:07:38.19 and they were sentenced to 40 years of wondering. You realize that Esau had the birthright. 00:07:38.22\00:07:44.89 He was on the verge of headship until he allowed his appetite to overwhelm his anointing. 00:07:44.93\00:07:52.07 You see, Sampson was on the verge of routing the Philistines, but he was defeated 00:07:52.10\00:07:59.71 not by sword or by spear, but by well-toned curves and lacey 00:07:59.74\00:08:03.91 lingerie and see the problem friends is that most of us get stuck on the verge of something, 00:08:03.95\00:08:10.72 never realizing God's divine purpose. There are some that get stuck on the verge because they 00:08:10.75\00:08:18.53 lack courage. Some get stuck on the verge because they lack character. Some get stuck on the 00:08:18.56\00:08:27.14 verge because they don't have faith. But most folk get stuck 00:08:27.17\00:08:29.90 on the verge because they lack the spiritual awareness to know that they're on the precipice of 00:08:29.94\00:08:38.15 a mighty move of God. And see there are some that never realize God's plan because 00:08:38.18\00:08:46.79 they're comfortable just being on the verge of something. The truth is that there are some of 00:08:46.82\00:08:52.43 us that like being in a space of anticipation, but we never have the courage to enter into the 00:08:52.46\00:08:57.63 reality of God's movement. But I don't know about you saints. I'm at a place where I'm no longer 00:08:57.67\00:09:03.51 content being on the verge. I'm no longer satisfied being close. I'm not just good being on the 00:09:03.54\00:09:09.18 edge. Anybody just tired of talking about the language of faith without experiencing the 00:09:09.21\00:09:15.95 realities of faith? And I need to know if I got at least 8 or 10 saints today that are no 00:09:15.98\00:09:23.59 longer good talking about it, declaring it, waiting for it, I need you to know that this year 00:09:23.63\00:09:30.60 you are on the verge of something. And so friends, today I want to just spend a little 00:09:30.63\00:09:40.24 time talking about what it means to be on the verge of a move of God so that you know how to 00:09:40.28\00:09:45.85 handle yourself in the days and weeks to come and see. The first thing our story teaches us today 00:09:45.88\00:09:51.19 is that when you are on the verge of something, you've got to seek instruction and not 00:09:51.22\00:09:58.66 momentum. Let me say it again that when you're on the verge of something, you've got to look 00:09:58.69\00:10:04.53 for instruction and not momentum. Here in our text, friends, we find the people of 00:10:04.57\00:10:10.81 God on the verge of deliverance from the house of Pharaoh. God has sent nine crippling plagues 00:10:10.84\00:10:16.14 upon the land of Egypt. And yet Pharaoh has refused to let the 00:10:16.18\00:10:20.52 people go and understand that Moses gives them some instruction on how to avoid this 00:10:20.55\00:10:27.86 judgment. They are to set up a lamb and put on its blood on the doorpost and on the lentils, 00:10:27.89\00:10:35.20 and then the plague that judges Egypt will pass over those that are covered by the blood of the 00:10:35.23\00:10:43.51 lamb and see the thing friends, I need someone to get is that what is not expressed is the 00:10:43.54\00:10:52.51 cynicism that the people of God have about the Passover festival. In fact, I need you to 00:10:52.55\00:11:00.22 get that to some eating. The Passover literally feels like random and foolish behavior. It 00:11:00.26\00:11:09.40 seems as if they're being deceived by Moses again. In fact, friends, some of the 00:11:09.43\00:11:15.24 complaints that were voiced in the wilderness were first planted when they begin to take 00:11:15.27\00:11:22.71 the Passover meal. And it's interesting because I thought, Dr Pollard, that they would see 00:11:22.74\00:11:28.85 the nine plagues as evidence that God was about to move. I thought they would see the nine 00:11:28.88\00:11:34.56 plagues as proof that something was about to shift. But for those in Egypt, the nine plagues 00:11:34.59\00:11:41.96 were symbolic of nine disappointments. In other words, when Moses shows up and first 00:11:42.00\00:11:47.40 performs signs and wonders, remember Pharaoh first actually doubled their workload. He did 00:11:47.44\00:11:54.18 not let the people go and understand that every time they 00:11:54.21\00:11:58.38 got a plague, they got their hopes up thinking that this was the night of deliverance only to 00:11:58.41\00:12:06.59 find their reality just as it was the day before. 00:12:06.62\00:12:08.66 In other words, when the rivers turned to blood, they got their hopes up and still, he didn't 00:12:08.69\00:12:14.36 let them go. When lice came upon the land, they believed for it and he still didn't let them go. 00:12:14.40\00:12:22.34 When the cattle began to die, they thought this was it. And Pharaoh did not let them go. And 00:12:22.37\00:12:29.34 when frogs overtook the land, Pharaoh said, I'm going to free you. But when God relented upon 00:12:29.38\00:12:37.29 the plague, he still did not allow the people to go and so understand saints that there is 00:12:37.32\00:12:42.96 no gradual softening toward Israel. They are not loosening the reins gradually they've not 00:12:42.99\00:12:51.63 implemented policy to make life easier for the children of Israel. In other words, their 00:12:51.67\00:12:57.81 life since Moses showed up has not gotten better. In fact, it's gotten harder with greater 00:12:57.84\00:13:03.38 disappointments. In other words, church, they can't see things falling into place. Things are 00:13:03.41\00:13:09.88 not lining up like they hoped. They didn't have any proof that the day after Passover was going 00:13:09.92\00:13:18.29 to be any different than the day before the Passover. In other words, they would think that if 00:13:18.33\00:13:25.37 God was about to set them free, they would see some momentum, that they would see things 00:13:25.40\00:13:28.97 moving in a certain direction. But the ones who are freed from Egypt are freed not because they 00:13:29.00\00:13:39.18 see momentum, but because they follow instructions. Ah! And see, the reason that some of us 00:13:39.21\00:13:48.69 are having a hard time with this idea of believing you are on the verge of something is because 00:13:48.72\00:13:55.40 you don't see any momentum amongst your circumstances. You see, we have a hard time cause 00:13:55.43\00:14:02.57 we have conflicted belief because you hear what the preacher is saying, but you are 00:14:02.60\00:14:06.34 wrestling with what you are seeing in your reality. And the truth is, it's hard to believe 00:14:06.37\00:14:14.65 that things can get better while things are consistently growing worse. And see there are 00:14:14.68\00:14:18.42 somebody listening to the word and saying, pastor, I would believe if I can just see a 00:14:18.45\00:14:22.09 little shift in the atmosphere. Look, I would believe if I could feel my help coming on. 00:14:22.12\00:14:25.33 I would believe if I could see things are beginning to improve 00:14:25.36\00:14:30.30 on the horizon. In other words, there's somebody who's saying, I would believe if I could see a 00:14:30.33\00:14:36.71 little momentum in my marriage. I would believe if I could see her expressing effort or if I 00:14:36.74\00:14:43.28 could see him recommitting himself. There's somebody saying I would believe for healing 00:14:43.31\00:14:47.05 if I could see some momentum in my health if the medicine started working and the pain 00:14:47.08\00:14:54.19 began to alleviate. I would believe if I saw some momentum financially; if I saw some 00:14:54.22\00:15:01.26 momentum professionally; you would believe if you saw some momentum relationally; 00:15:01.30\00:15:05.03 but, what this story teaches is that miracles don't require momentum, right? Oh God, y'all 00:15:05.07\00:15:14.28 not hearing me today. In other words, I need you to know that a divine move of God doesn't 00:15:14.31\00:15:20.48 require any build-up. God doesn't require any runway. God doesn't need a head start. See 00:15:20.52\00:15:29.89 how many of us know that Jehovah is a helicopter, not an 00:15:29.92\00:15:31.49 airplane. [Congregation: Amen] 00:15:31.53\00:15:32.96 Okay, in other words that my God is a helicopter God, he's not an 00:15:32.99\00:15:37.67 airplane. Some of y'all missed your shout. See, you realize that an airplane has wheels but 00:15:37.70\00:15:45.11 a helicopter has a propeller. [Congregation: Amen] 00:15:45.14\00:15:46.74 In other words, an airplane needs a runway. He's got to build up some speed. 00:15:46.78\00:15:51.38 He's got to gather some momentum in order to get off the ground. But my God is a helicopter God. 00:15:51.41\00:15:58.95 He has a propeller over his children. So you don't need to runway. You ain't got to see it 00:15:58.99\00:16:07.13 coming to past. You just stand still and let God lift you. 00:16:07.20\00:16:11.40 [Congregation: Amen] 00:16:11.43\00:16:13.00 Right from where you are. Are y'all hearing me today? Friends? 00:16:13.03\00:16:19.54 And see the problem amongst the contemporary church is that there are some of us that wait 00:16:19.57\00:16:27.72 for things to line up before you believe. See, the problem is some of us have what I call 00:16:27.75\00:16:38.73 when-then faith as opposed to having trust and obey faith. In other words, what when-then 00:16:38.76\00:16:49.27 faith is where we say, man, when I see this, then I'm going to obey. But God is saying that you 00:16:49.30\00:16:56.21 can't have when-then faith, you got to have trust and obey faith. In other words, when you 00:16:56.24\00:17:03.62 look at all of those in Faith's Hall of Fame, they were not people that had wind then faith. 00:17:03.65\00:17:09.99 They were folk that had trust and obey faith. And in other words, when the priests got to 00:17:10.03\00:17:15.53 the Jordan River, they couldn't say, when the Jordan opens, then I'm going to put my feet in the 00:17:15.56\00:17:20.94 water. They said we are going to have trust and obey faith. I'm going to put my feet in the 00:17:20.97\00:17:23.37 water and I'm going to wait for the waters to part. Do you realize that in Babylon the 00:17:23.41\00:17:31.05 three Hebrew boys couldn't say when the fire goes out, then we won't bow down. But they had 00:17:31.08\00:17:36.72 trust and obey faith that says, no matter what's going on in the furnace, I'm going to worship 00:17:36.75\00:17:40.09 only the true and living God. Do you realize that Peter didn't have when-then faith? 00:17:40.12\00:17:43.53 He didn't say, when the storm stops, then I'm going to get out 00:17:43.56\00:17:47.86 of the boat. When God said come, he put all of his weight on the word of Jesus and the people of 00:17:47.86\00:17:55.50 Israel couldn't say, when he sets us free, then we'll eat the 00:17:55.54\00:17:59.67 Passover. We going to eat the Passover in anticipation of the word of God coming the past. Are 00:17:59.71\00:18:08.58 y'all hearing me today friends? And see I need somebody to get out of the whole disposition of 00:18:08.62\00:18:16.32 saying when God does this, then I'm going to obey him and see the problem with that. It is an 00:18:16.36\00:18:24.13 ultimate insult to God. It is a statement that essentially says when God does it, then I'll 00:18:24.17\00:18:33.88 obey. It's putting God in a position where he has to audition to prove himself 00:18:33.91\00:18:40.02 worthy. But how many of us know that God ain't got to audition for nothing? God ain't got to 00:18:40.05\00:18:46.22 prove himself worthy. There is only one unworthy partner in this relationship and they ain't 00:18:46.25\00:18:50.73 in heaven. You saw them when you looked in the mirror this morning. Are y'all hearing me 00:18:50.76\00:18:55.56 today? And what I'm saying to somebody, is there somebody that's got to act on faith? And 00:18:55.60\00:18:58.33 according to the word, are y'all hearing me today? See there are some who are saying when I start 00:18:58.37\00:19:04.67 making more money then I'll be a good steward. There are some who are saying, when I see a 00:19:04.71\00:19:11.45 potential mate, then I'll stop being unequally yoked. Some are saying when I get a good job 00:19:11.48\00:19:16.48 then I'll stop working on Sabbath. Some are saying when my spouse acts right, then I'll 00:19:16.52\00:19:21.66 recommit to the marriage. But I need you to know friends of mine that faith cannot be based upon 00:19:21.69\00:19:27.46 what you observe. Faith is demonstrated in obedience regardless of what you see. Are 00:19:27.50\00:19:35.00 you hearing me today? So the Bible says to us here in verse number eight of verse of chapter 00:19:35.04\00:19:42.14 12, go back to Exodus chapter 12 and verse number eight. When you get there say Pastor on the 00:19:42.18\00:19:45.08 verge. The Bible says, then they shall eat of the flesh on that night roasted in fire with 00:19:45.11\00:19:54.89 unleavened bread and with bitter herbs, they shall eat it. 00:19:54.92\00:20:00.06 You see the second thing this teaches friends is that when you're on the verge of something 00:20:00.10\00:20:06.03 you need to take a little bitterness with you. See when, when you're on the verge of 00:20:06.07\00:20:20.08 something, don't forget how the past used to taste. Okay. Y'all too spiritual for the pastor 00:20:20.12\00:20:25.95 today. So God gives some very unique instructions about the eating of the passover lamb. 00:20:25.99\00:20:33.23 Y'all still with me? Church? So one of the things that God says 00:20:33.26\00:20:37.33 to them, he says, I want you to eat this meal roasted with fire. But then he says, man, 00:20:37.37\00:20:41.57 I want you to make sure that you lace the lamb with bitter herbs 00:20:41.60\00:20:48.08 while you eat it. In other words, friends, their last meal in Egypt is not succulent. This 00:20:48.11\00:20:57.29 last meal is not enjoyable. When they are choking down the lamb, they've got a frown of 00:20:57.32\00:21:03.86 displeasure upon their face because it is laced with bitter herbs. In other words, when they 00:21:03.89\00:21:10.73 walk out of Egypt, God wants them to leave with a bad taste 00:21:10.77\00:21:15.80 in their mouth. In other words, when they leave Egypt, 00:21:15.84\00:21:19.37 he wants there to be some residue of something that doesn't taste good when they 00:21:19.41\00:21:26.25 leave. And see, understand friends that there is a purpose for these bitter herbs. 00:21:26.28\00:21:31.55 See, these bitter herbs were to be symbolic of the bitter days 00:21:31.59\00:21:37.46 of toil and that they experienced for 400 years while they were there in the land of 00:21:37.49\00:21:44.60 Egypt. And the reason that God wants them to leave with a bad taste in their mouth is that 00:21:44.63\00:21:50.74 he knows that the journey of faith is going to be so hard that down the line they're going 00:21:50.77\00:21:59.08 to begin to look at Egypt as being less bitter than what it was. In other words, 00:21:59.11\00:22:03.52 he knows there's some adversity awaiting them that's going to make Egypt seem sweeter than it 00:22:03.55\00:22:10.99 was. And see that's the reason that God wants them to remember 00:22:11.03\00:22:15.40 their bitterness. See, because he knows that on the freedom 00:22:15.43\00:22:17.80 journey, Egypt is going to get a little sweeter looking when there are unknowns and 00:22:17.83\00:22:22.94 uncertainties. Have you ever noticed that in their 40 years sojourned that there was always 00:22:22.97\00:22:31.51 this sentiment that we should have never left Egypt? Do you remember how these negroes 00:22:31.55\00:22:38.42 talked about how the leaks and the garlic and how the onions were and how good the food was 00:22:38.45\00:22:50.67 in Egypt after they cried out to God To deliver them from the land of Egypt? And see, I need 00:22:50.70\00:22:54.17 us to understand, beloved, that God, he is so awesome, he understood that for newly minted 00:22:54.20\00:23:02.04 slaves that there was going to come a point where oppression was going to be more appealing 00:23:02.08\00:23:07.12 than obedience. He knew there would come a time where dealing with unknowns would be less 00:23:07.15\00:23:13.62 appealing than living in a land of oppression. And so God says, I'm going to make you leave with 00:23:13.66\00:23:21.50 a bad taste in your mouth so that as each year when you celebrate it and you have this 00:23:21.53\00:23:28.64 bad taste, the bad taste about where you were will help you celebrate where you are. Okay. 00:23:28.67\00:23:42.58 Y'all go get mad. But isn't it amazing the reason we keep going back to the same things, the 00:23:42.62\00:23:47.59 reason we go back to the same habits, the reason every year we go back to the same people is 00:23:47.62\00:23:57.37 that we've lost the bad taste in our mouth that made us want to be delivered in the first place? 00:23:57.40\00:24:05.47 And see, the reason we are so quick to revisit certain people and certain relationships and 00:24:05.51\00:24:11.31 certain situations is that we forgot to take a little bitterness with us and say 00:24:11.35\00:24:19.79 sometimes the present adversity makes us forget about the bitterness of the adversity we 00:24:19.82\00:24:31.37 left behind. When we begin following the Lord, y'all mighty quiet today. So, so I want to 00:24:31.40\00:24:35.67 just say to somebody who is being sanctified, because see, somebody is on the verge of 00:24:35.70\00:24:42.04 amazing spiritual growth. There is somebody on the verge of being delivered from the sin 00:24:42.08\00:24:49.75 that so easily entangles you. There is somebody that is about to experience the emancipated 00:24:49.78\00:24:56.69 power of the Holy Ghost that he's going to bring you out with his right hand and his strong 00:24:56.73\00:25:04.73 arm is going to give you the victory in your inner man or in your inner woman. But what I 00:25:04.77\00:25:11.64 need you to know is that before God delivers you, make sure you take some bitterness with you. 00:25:11.67\00:25:19.71 Let me say to those that have been recently baptized, you've recently come into church 00:25:19.75\00:25:25.79 culture, you need to remember how savage those cats were in the streets so that the first 00:25:25.82\00:25:30.56 time you get offended by somebody in church, you don't go back to a that's worse than what 00:25:30.59\00:25:36.80 you see in here. Okay, let me keep it real. In other words, sister, when you leave him this 00:25:36.83\00:25:41.20 time, Make sure you hang the medical report from when he knocked you upside your head and 00:25:41.24\00:25:46.51 a picture of your black eye so that you don't go, oh, y'all quiet. Oh, that don't happen 00:25:46.54\00:25:53.25 here today. Okay? Oh y'all like that? In other words, sis, when you leave him this time, take 00:25:53.28\00:25:59.49 the picture of the naked woman you found in his phone so you won't be tempted to go back the 00:25:59.52\00:26:07.13 way you came. I'm going preach whether you get mad or not. In other words, brother, when you 00:26:07.20\00:26:08.70 leave her this time, save the text when she called you an SOB and an MF and called you out 00:26:08.73\00:26:10.73 your name and talked about your mama. Oh, y'all mighty quiet today, okay? [Congregation: 00:26:10.77\00:26:16.97 Clapping] Before you are attempted to quit the gym, remember the bitterness for when 00:26:17.01\00:26:21.31 you couldn't fit in them jeans or tighten up the top button on your suit or your almighty quiet 00:26:21.34\00:26:28.68 today. Remember the bitterness of substance abuse of all those days where after your high, it 00:26:28.72\00:26:37.19 was followed by a depressing low that made you cry out for deliverance from God before you 00:26:37.23\00:26:41.60 quit school. Remember the bitterness of watching everybody live their dreams, but you can't 00:26:41.63\00:26:51.14 live out your dreams before you leave your husband. Remember the bitterness of always being a 00:26:51.17\00:26:58.61 bridesmaid and having to eat by yourself and go by yourself? Y'all got quiet. No, I'm onto 00:26:58.65\00:27:09.39 something today. In other words, friends, before you leave your celibacy, Don't forget the 00:27:09.42\00:27:16.97 bitterness of waking up the morning after and you feel guilty and empty and ashamed and 00:27:17.00\00:27:25.84 somebody left you as if you had no value. You've got to hold onto your bitterness so that you 00:27:25.87\00:27:28.08 don't confuse the past as betterness.
