When you get there, say I'm

words, you don't have to sign up

know that it is God that is
going to position you where

18:16, the Bible says, that a
man's, what? Gifts make room for

men. In other words, Saints, I

don't have to get in with them
in order to get where you want
to go. Because how many of us

know that it is the gift that
was assigned to you by God that
opens up doors for you that man

that the key to success, friends

down man's favor, but the

there are some who feel like I
got to do certain things

you? That my God will take folk
who are against you and he'll

23:11. Listen, we're going to

Numbers 23:11. Now, you remember
the story of Balak where he sent
the false prophet Balaam to

send curses on the land of
Israel. I need you to understand
that God intervened in the

situation and God sent blesses
instead of curses, then the word
says in verse 11, "Then Balak
00:04:33.87\00:04:40.91
said to Balaam, 'What have you
done to me? I took you to curse
my enemies and, look, you have

blessed them, you have
blessed them bountifully.'

So he answered and said, 'Must I
not take heed to speak what the
Lord has put in my mouth?'"

In other words, the prophet is
like, I went to curse but by the
time it got from my belly out of

my mouth, it turned into a
blessing. And, see, how many of
us know that God will favor you

in such a way that on your job,
they may come with the intent to
fire you. They call you into the

office, give you a pink slip,
and they say, "You're f--"
"You're f--" "You're f--"

"You're promoted with a raise,"
you all not hearing me. In other
words, ah, your spouse was so

angry, they called to say, "I
want a d--" "I want a d--" "I
want a d--" "I want to keep

working it out." Are you all
hearing me today? In other
words, when you apply for the

loan of the house, the loan
officer calls you in because
your credit is in the 300s. They

say, "Sir, I hate to inform you
but your loan application has
been d--" "It's been d--" "It's

been d--" "It's been approved
with a low-interest rate." How
many of us know that when you're

under favor, they may send
curses but in midair, they turn
into blessings because God will

make even your enemies be at
peace with you? Are you all
hearing me today, Saints?

And it's crazy, Church, because
the woman's focus is on Jesus
because she knows, remember we

said who she is. She recognizes
that she is a daughter. And even
though the sons say, "Send her

away," she knows I'm a daughter,
and because I'm a daughter, what
the son says can't change how

the father feels about a
daughter. So let me say it this

way. In my house, my two sons
probably rightly believe that my
daughter gets away with more
00:07:21.77\00:07:31.15
stuff than what the boys are
allowed. So there are times
where I'm going to do something

for my daughter and my sons kind
of ganging up on her and they're
like, "Well, Brooke did this
00:07:36.35\00:07:42.36
wrong and Brooke did that
wrong." And see they think
because they are sons, they can
00:07:42.39\00:07:50.10
change the way I feel about the
daughter but because I've
already decided what I'm going
00:07:50.13\00:07:56.97
to give the daughter, none of
the other children can change
what she's going to receive.

There are times when the
youngest, too, they're going to
gang up on the oldest child but

because I've decided what I'm
going to give the oldest child,
what the other kids say doesn't

really matter about how I'm
going to take care of that one.
There are times when the older,

too, want to go ahead and expose
the youngest one but what I have
intended for the younger one is

not going to be changed by what
the other children say. And what
I'm saying to somebody today is

that it doesn't matter what he
thinks, it doesn't matter what
she thinks, it doesn't matter

what they think, as long as you
know who you are in Christ, it
doesn't matter what the other

children say as long as you know
who you are in the Lord. Are you
all hearing me today, Saints?

The third thing this teaches us,
friends of mine, is that faith
doesn't mind watching other
00:09:00.87\00:09:11.18
people eat. It's going to get
rough in here for a minute. All
right. So, play along with me.
00:09:11.21\00:09:16.62
Jesus says, okay, I'm only sent
to the lost sheep of the House
of Israel. But the lady, the
00:09:16.65\00:09:23.02
girl, she knows who she is. She
knows who she is in Him. So
she's already traced her lineage
00:09:23.06\00:09:28.00
all the way back to the
Canaanite, the woman who had a
baby with Simeon. And she says,
00:09:28.03\00:09:37.31
okay, you sent to the lost
sheep, we don't circumcise, we
don't keep the Sabbath, yet we
00:09:37.34\00:09:47.18
are part of that lost lineage in
Israel. So, guess what, Jesus?
We qualify, I'm here to claim
00:09:47.22\00:09:53.19
that benefits. And so, Jesus,
wanting to test her faith a
little bit more, says some other
00:09:53.22\00:10:01.66
things to her. Now, I'm going to
pause the say this. When I talk
about Jesus testing her faith, I
00:10:01.70\00:10:11.84
want to be clear that Jesus
already knows how much faith she
has. Are you all with me? In
00:10:11.87\00:10:22.45
other words, He's not trying to
make her audition for a
blessing. So when he talks about
00:10:22.48\00:10:26.35
testing the faith, in other
words, what he wants is her
faith to be revealed. Stay with
00:10:26.39\00:10:37.70
me, Church. He wants her faith
to be demonstrated. He wants to
put her faith on display. See,
00:10:37.73\00:10:43.51
the reason Jesus drags this
thing out is he wants his
disciples to get a lesson in
00:10:43.54\00:10:59.22
what real faith looks like. Are
you all with me today, Saints?
In other words, friends of mine,
00:10:59.25\00:11:06.53
every now and then in the
journey of faith, Jesus needs a
demonstration. Every now and
00:11:06.56\00:11:12.40
then, He draws some things out
so your faith can be put on
display. So, understand, when
00:11:12.43\00:11:17.14
the Bible talks about how he
tests this person's faith, or
Job's faith was tested,
00:11:17.17\00:11:20.11
understand this is not a
situation where God is trying to
make somebody audition or prove
00:11:20.14\00:11:26.75
how much they believe. Remember,
we already learned three weeks
ago, that Jesus put himself in
00:11:26.78\00:11:33.92
her path. He had already
determined that he was going to
bless her. So he is not trying
00:11:33.96\00:11:40.53
to make her audition to receive
what he already intended. But
when the Bible talks about
00:11:40.56\00:11:47.04
testing faith, it is a reference
to, especially in the New
Testament, a reference to the
00:11:47.07\00:11:52.71
Roman practice of how a shield
would be formed. So understand
that when the silversmith
00:11:52.74\00:11:59.61
finished a shield before he put
it in the hands of the soldier,
what he did was he tested it.
00:11:59.65\00:12:04.75
And so, in order to test it,
what he would do is there would
be a public demonstration where
00:12:04.79\00:12:09.66
he would take it through a gamut
of buffeting test, where it
would be hammered publicly,
00:12:09.69\00:12:14.83
where it would be exposed to
fire publicly, it would be
exposed to elements publicly and
00:12:14.86\00:12:19.40
the reason he tested it, it was
not to prove something to the
silversmith who created it, it
00:12:19.43\00:12:26.44
was designed to authenticate it
before the soldier so that they
know that it's able to handle
00:12:26.47\00:12:33.92
the tests that are going to come
it's way. And every now and
then, friends, what God designs
00:12:33.95\00:12:37.55
to do is He says, I need to test
the shield of your faith. I need
to take it through some
00:12:37.59\00:12:47.56
buffetings so that those who are
around you will have a
demonstration that faith is
00:12:47.60\00:12:53.50
capable. All right. So some of
us ain't rejoicing yet. See,
this will make sense, friends,
00:12:53.54\00:13:04.78
until you understand your life
is not your own. Then Paul says,
we are made a spectacle unto man
00:13:04.81\00:13:12.42
and unto angels. So you're
walking around acting like you
own the deed to your own life
00:13:12.45\00:13:20.40
but do you realize you are
brought with a price and you are
00:13:20.43\00:13:27.47
His workmanship, and every now
and then, God draws some things
00:13:27.50\00:13:32.54
out because there are some
people that are about to go
where God has already sent you.

And in order for them to know
that faith works, they need to
see a demonstration.

So, in other words, there's
somebody that needs to be a
demonstration that when life

wipes you all out, that you can
start over again in Christ, that
when you get wiped out

financially, God needs a
demonstration to teach the world
that God is able to restore the
00:14:04.14\00:14:11.58
years that the locusts have
taken, and God is able to
restore what the cankerworm is
00:14:11.61\00:14:19.39
eating away. After the divorce,
sister, God needs you to be a
demonstration of forgiveness so
00:14:19.42\00:14:29.70
your children are not corrupted
by the root of bitterness.
Sometimes, God needs a
00:14:29.73\00:14:39.51
demonstration of how to grieve
and come through it with your
faith intact. Sometimes, God
00:14:39.54\00:14:47.28
needs a demonstration of what it
means to have your enemies come
for you when you didn't send for
00:14:47.32\00:14:54.12
them. Sometimes, God needs a
demonstration of what it's like
to suffer with affliction in
00:14:54.16\00:15:01.86
your body and understand the
reason some folks don't believe
God is able it's because they've
00:15:01.90\00:15:09.04
never ever seen a demonstration.
But do I have seven or eight
saints who are willing to say,
00:15:09.07\00:15:15.28
"Lord, I want you to get the
glory from my life. Lord, I
won't just glorify you in a
00:15:15.31\00:15:22.42
song, I won't just glorify you
with my mouth but, Lord, get the
glory from my life's
00:15:22.45\00:15:34.73
experience." See, you all
remember, I need you to get this
that being a test case is the
00:15:34.76\00:15:45.54
highest compliment, oh, God.
Being a test case is the highest
compliment God can give you. Has
00:15:45.57\00:15:53.75
thou considered my servant Job?
You remember the devil didn't
ask for Job. Job was recommended
00:15:53.78\00:16:01.09
by God, so favor wasn't just the
house, it wasn't just the
cattle, it wasn't just that he
00:16:01.12\00:16:06.53
had more than everything else.
But when God needed a test case,
He had somebody he can count on
00:16:06.56\00:16:14.34
that would bring his name the
glory. Are you all hearing what
I'm saying today, Saints? And

understand, Beloved, that this
is the other side of favor. See,
favor isn't just who He blesses
00:16:25.55\00:16:28.98
the most, it's who he tests the
most. Oh, God. In other words,
does anybody remember that child

that always got called up to the
chalkboard in school? In other
words, that child that the
00:16:38.16\00:16:42.03
teacher always picked on to go
and give the answers in front of
the class when you're growing
00:16:42.06\00:16:46.13
up, you think the teacher's
calling on you because they're
trying to surprise you on a day
00:16:46.17\00:16:52.67
when you don't have the answers?
No, when you keep getting called
on, it's not because you don't
00:16:52.71\00:16:57.45
have the answers, it's because
the teacher has so much trust
00:16:57.48\00:17:00.72
or belief that they need
somebody to testify that the
answer is already present.

Are you all hearing me today,
Saints? So there's an ugly side
of favor. Are you all hearing
00:17:08.02\00:17:14.10
me? So, Jesus says, it's
actually like, when you look at
it, it's actually kind of funny.
00:17:14.13\00:17:20.70
He says, "I can't take the
children's bread and cast it to
the dogs." So, at first, he
00:17:20.74\00:17:36.38
says, I'm only sent to the
chosen house. She says I
qualify, I claim that benefit.
00:17:36.42\00:17:43.29
But then he goes a little
further, drags it out, and says,
"Listen, I can't take the food
00:17:43.32\00:17:48.33
and give it to the dogs." Now,
but she says, okay, Jesus,
that's how you want to play it.

I'm here for this. She says, but
even the dogs, oh, God, I feel
00:17:59.41\00:18:09.52
my help coming up. She says,
"Even the little dogs eat the
crumbs which fall from the
00:18:09.55\00:18:17.63
master's table." Now, understand
that the word "crumbs" is not
talking about the tiny particles
00:18:17.66\00:18:25.13
that get caught in your beard or
mustache, that the word "crumbs"
is actually better in translated
00:18:25.17\00:18:34.44
scraps or leftovers. Now, you
all got to remember in order to
get this, back in the day, dogs
00:18:34.48\00:18:47.96
didn't eat dog food. They ate
the same food that people ate.
So that when it was time to eat,

you didn't cook one meal and put
it on the table and then go to
your pantry and get some Alpo.

Are you all hearing what I'm
saying? And understand that
because similar to now because

dogs are a part of the family
when the people ate, all dinner
was was a dog watching people

eat first. So that, guess what?
When the dogs were watching the
people eat, they didn't get mad.

When they saw the people eating,
the dogs start licking their
lips. When they saw people
00:19:42.71\00:19:49.38
eating, the dogs start wagging
their tails. When the dogs see
the people eating, the dogs

start sitting up because he knew
that when they were eating, it
was just a matter of time before
00:20:00.40\00:20:06.63
their portion was about to come.
So when they were sitting at the
table, the dog didn't get mad,

the dog got turned up because he
knew that his portion was about
to come. Now, watch this. You

remember like most times when
you cook a big meal, most of us
don't have portion control to a
00:20:18.28\00:20:27.49
science. So that it's on
Thanksgiving dinner, have you
ever noticed at your Christmas

dinner, you almost throw away
more food than you consume? So
you're actually looking for
00:20:37.77\00:20:42.97
somebody, your cousin, and
poking them to come by because
you got so much left over that
00:20:43.00\00:20:48.28
if you don't, it's going to go
bad. So that those who come for
the leftovers, actually get more
00:20:48.31\00:20:58.62
than those who are actually
sitting at the table. Are you
all hearing what I'm saying?

So, she says, I'm like a little
dog. I don't get mad when other
00:21:00.79\00:21:06.53
people eat. I don't mind
watching other people eat first.
Now, this is important

because some of us get moved out
of faith when we have to watch

other people eat. Oh, help me,
Lord. See, some of us lose faith
when other people get to the
00:21:22.81\00:21:30.29
financial table first, when
others get to the medical table
first, when others get to the
00:21:30.32\00:21:36.06
romantic table first, when
others get the healing first, we
get all bent out of shape
00:21:36.09\00:21:44.20
because we have to watch
somebody else eat. And I guess
what I'm saying to somebody
00:21:44.23\00:21:51.54
today is instead of getting mad
that you have to watch somebody
eat, maybe you ought to praise
00:21:51.57\00:21:55.71
God that you got a seat at the
table. You want to thank Him
that you're close enough to

where the meal is being served.
See, and let me just say,

it is hard in your flesh if
you're not looking through the
eyes of the spirit to watch

other people eat. Am I just
telling the truth? It's hard to
see somebody else eating

financially when you're not.
It's hard to see somebody at the
table of motherhood when you
00:22:22.90\00:22:28.34
hadn't been able to get there
yet. It's hard to see somebody
at the table of matrimony when
00:22:28.38\00:22:34.15
your Boaz is nowhere in sight.
It's hard to see somebody at the
table of financial prosperity
00:22:34.18\00:22:40.29
when you're struggling to pay
the bills but I need you to get
this, friends, that when you are
00:22:40.32\00:22:48.13
at the table, don't get mad at
having to watch other people eat
00:22:48.16\00:22:54.24
first. Oh, help me. That's the
word for somebody. Don't leave
00:22:54.27\00:23:02.58
the table because you're
watching somebody else eat. See,
this is why the Bible says,
00:23:02.61\00:23:09.48
unless you understand this
principle, you would live your
life trying to avoid other
00:23:09.52\00:23:19.53
people's prosperity. See, it's
quiet as it's kept in the
church. See, the Bible says,
00:23:19.56\00:23:25.00
we're supposed to rejoice. Oh,
you all mighty quiet in here
today. Don't act brand-new. The
00:23:25.03\00:23:31.84
Bible says we're supposed to
rejoice with those that rejoice,
but it's quiet as it's kept,
00:23:31.87\00:23:37.98
some of us are so tiny and small
and jealous-hearted that we
can't rejoice when others
00:23:38.01\00:23:47.29
rejoice. The truth is, we
rejoice when others fail and we
only rejoice when others are
00:23:47.32\00:23:52.49
doing bad and what I'm saying is
- I don't want to be so small in
my faith where I have to avoid
00:23:52.53\00:23:56.56
your prosperity. I want to get
to a place where I can celebrate
your prosperity. See, the
00:23:56.60\00:24:02.07
problem with some of us is our
faith only grows in a vacuum but
God has set up Church where
00:24:02.10\00:24:07.98
faith is supposed to grow in the
community. Oh, I'm going to keep
preaching this. See, you only
00:24:08.01\00:24:13.38
rejoice when you get blessed but
when somebody in the community
gets blessed, guess what? I
00:24:13.42\00:24:20.09
shout as if I got blessed. In
other words, when they get a
house, you ought to shout like
00:24:20.12\00:24:25.29
you got a house. When they get
healed, you ought to shout like
you got healed. When they lose
00:24:25.33\00:24:32.53
some weight, you ought to
rejoice like you lost some. If
they find a good man, you
00:24:32.57\00:24:39.47
rejoice like you got a good man.
If their marriage gets back
together, rejoice like your
00:24:39.51\00:24:44.68
marriage got back together. Why?
Because if you're at the table,
it's just a matter of time

before you get to share in the
portion. And if you watch them
eat first, you'll get more than

those who are seated at the
table. Are you all hearing me
today? Listen, listen, I'm

almost done but watch this. I
remember back in January, I went
to preach in Raleigh, North

Carolina. I want to preach for
Pastor Austin Humphreys and his
wife, Jalisa. He grew up in this

church. Y'all know who I'm
talking about. And it's crazy
because I stayed with him for
00:25:23.59\00:25:30.79
the weekend and they got this
big black dog, it's some type of
Labrador or some sort and the
00:25:30.83\00:25:37.30
dog's name is Bane. And it's
crazy, I hadn't been around dogs
really like that since I was a
00:25:37.33\00:25:54.35
little boy so when we were
growing up, the same thing like
the dogs kind of ate what we
00:25:54.38\00:25:57.49
ate. So, when I get to the house
and see Bane, he knew I was a
rookie. He took advantage of my
00:25:57.52\00:26:05.09
ignorance. So whenever we sat
down at the table he would come
right next to my leg and start
00:26:05.13\00:26:10.80
wagging his tail. And so, when I
felt his tail beating on my leg,
I would just take something
00:26:10.83\00:26:13.94
whatever we were eating, put it
down on a napkin, and let him
eat some of it, too. And so,

after a while, I did that and
they saw me doing it. They were
like, no, he's not supposed to

eat human food, he's a dog. And
I'm tripping 'cause I'm like,
"All our dogs ate was human

food," right? So, because I'm
now trying to obey the rules of
the house, whenever we sat down

at the table, Bane will come and
