Sermon #S012 - (The Unrealistic Church - Part 1) 00:00:09.67\00:00:20.55 Pastor Snell: Exodus 36 and verse number one is a very powerful story for our 00:00:20.58\00:00:32.16 consideration as we talk today on how faith impacts the body of Christ. Exodus 36:1, when you 00:00:32.19\00:00:35.53 get there just say, "Amen." The Bible says, "And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted 00:00:35.56\00:00:48.01 artisan in whom the LORD has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of 00:00:48.04\00:00:51.61 work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the LORD has commanded. 00:00:51.65\00:01:01.62 Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the LORD 00:01:01.66\00:01:08.56 had put wisdom, every one whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work." Do the work. 00:01:08.60\00:01:11.80 "And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had 00:01:11.83\00:01:17.01 brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. 00:01:17.04\00:01:20.31 So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every 00:01:20.34\00:01:25.68 morning. Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from 00:01:25.71\00:01:33.46 the work he was doing, and they spoke to Moses, saying, 00:01:33.49\00:01:35.42 'The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us 00:01:35.46\00:01:43.87 to do.' So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the 00:01:43.90\00:01:49.87 camp, saying, 'Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.'" 00:01:49.90\00:01:55.21 And watch this, the Bible says, "And the people were restrained 00:01:55.24\00:02:00.48 from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done-indeed too 00:02:00.52\00:02:09.32 much." But I want to read for emphasis Verse 5, the Bible says, "And they spoke to Moses 00:02:09.36\00:02:14.23 saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord has 00:02:14.30\00:02:23.44 commanded us to do.' " Today, saints, for a little while, I want to talk to you under the 00:02:23.47\00:02:30.31 subject - The Unrealistic Church. The Unrealistic Church. 00:02:30.35\00:02:31.95 Let's pray together. Father, you have brought about a revival in the body of Christ. 00:02:31.98\00:02:43.32 Now, I'm praying that that revival would express itself in a reformation that changes the 00:02:43.36\00:02:52.00 trajectory of history, that allows us to complete the work that you've given us to do so 00:02:52.03\00:02:57.41 Jesus can come. So, Father, we need your Holy Spirit to rain down so that the Word can be 00:02:57.44\00:03:02.34 preached. But, Lord, we need an even greater anointing so that the Word can be received. 00:03:02.38\00:03:07.85 So, Lord, would you allow faith to be multiplied exponentially 00:03:07.88\00:03:12.45 in this place. And, Lord, may your spirit be so dense that it smothers every other alternative 00:03:12.49\00:03:19.89 principality. This, Father, is our prayer and our plea, we ask it in the wonderful name of 00:03:19.93\00:03:23.93 Jesus. Let them that believe say together, Amen. And, Amen, you may be seated in the house of 00:03:23.97\00:03:32.31 the Lord today. Again, we're talking today about the unrealistic church. You know, 00:03:32.34\00:03:47.76 saints, our text today is one of the few bright spots in Israel's wilderness narrative. 00:03:47.79\00:03:55.30 And in many ways, this story is a microcosm of what the church should and could actually be. 00:03:55.33\00:04:05.11 In the building of the temple, God's people were so liberal with their ministry gifts 00:04:05.14\00:04:10.65 and with their financial gifts that they actually had to be restrained from giving 00:04:10.68\00:04:17.85 because what they gave was more than enough. And perhaps this particular story is interesting. 00:04:17.89\00:04:25.69 It's one that we hardly reference. In fact, if you are not a student of the Bible, 00:04:25.73\00:04:31.17 you've probably never heard this story preached. And what we tend 00:04:31.20\00:04:36.44 to do, my friends is to highlight Israel's failures. We're very familiar with the 00:04:36.47\00:04:44.75 fact that they murmured and complain. We are all aware that they did not have gratitude for 00:04:44.78\00:04:50.59 the manner that was supplied. We are very aware of how they fashioned a molten calf. 00:04:50.62\00:04:55.19 We have all taken note of their meltdown once they got the report of the twelve spies. 00:04:55.22\00:05:01.23 But the miracle of generosity and committed service is way too 00:05:01.26\00:05:08.64 often overlooked. And, see, there is this emphasis on what 00:05:08.67\00:05:13.54 Israel did wrong but there was always an omission of the things that they actually got right. 00:05:13.58\00:05:19.41 And let me pause to say this, friends, that there is always an emphasis on what the church is 00:05:19.45\00:05:27.69 doing wrong, but we are quick to omit the things that the church actually does correct. 00:05:27.72\00:05:33.60 You see, friends, there is the emergence of what I call gripe culture in the church where we 00:05:33.63\00:05:41.97 accurately point out everything that is wrong in the church. And that's not a problem because the 00:05:42.00\00:05:48.58 church, in fact, needs some correction, but the problem with gripe culture is that it is 00:05:48.61\00:05:55.95 quick to make a criticism but it is slow to make a contribution. 00:05:55.98\00:06:00.76 In fact, saints, let me say it this way that I've been around long enough to know criticizing 00:06:00.79\00:06:06.03 people and I know contributing people and I need you to know that they are never ever the 00:06:06.06\00:06:13.00 same people. In fact, I saw someone put on Facebook this week that there is more love in 00:06:13.03\00:06:22.01 the club than there is in the church, but I need you to know the devil is a liar. 00:06:22.04\00:06:26.78 In fact, the community will attest by where they go to have 00:06:26.82\00:06:32.39 their needs met. In fact, when somebody needs a light bill paid, they ain't sitting outside 00:06:32.42\00:06:38.16 the club because they know there's no compassion there. They're going to make their way 00:06:38.19\00:06:45.23 to wherever God's people are because that's where the mercy is. When somebody's hungry and 00:06:45.27\00:06:50.71 needs something to eat, they're going to wait outside of a church service, they're not 00:06:50.74\00:06:55.28 going to happy hour. They're going to find a Dorcas Ministry because that's where the love 00:06:55.31\00:07:00.78 actually is. And, see, the problem is that we are uneven in our assessment and somewhat 00:07:00.82\00:07:07.02 forgetful. See, we're quick to remember the old lady that talked about how short your 00:07:07.06\00:07:12.83 skirt is but we forget about those old ladies that fill cards with money when you graduated 00:07:12.86\00:07:19.87 from school. Isn't it amazing how we are quick to say how the church has failed the young 00:07:19.90\00:07:27.08 people, but we forget about all the AYM pathfinder leaders that drove church vans at the 00:07:27.11\00:07:34.12 midnight hour to make sure that you got to a federation or to 00:07:34.15\00:07:38.85 your game? We are quick to highlight those that corrected us harshly but we forget those 00:07:38.89\00:07:47.60 that interceded for us fiercely. And, see, the problem with gripe culture is that we only notice 00:07:47.60\00:07:53.27 what is wrong. Ain't that crazy how loud we get when the church school is struggling 00:07:53.30\00:07:58.97 but we ain't got nothing to say when the principal brings forth 00:07:59.01\00:08:03.51 a good report? We noticed whenever the usher has an off day but we never say thank you 00:08:03.55\00:08:12.39 for all of the gracious days. We are quick to notice the young person wearing jewelry in the 00:08:12.42\00:08:17.36 choir but we forget to notice that there's a young person actually singing, are y'all not 00:08:17.39\00:08:24.47 with me, in the choir. And what I want to just pause and say, 00:08:24.50\00:08:27.47 saints, is you ought to get to a place where you become weary of those whose spiritual gift is 00:08:27.50\00:08:35.81 criticism. You ought to be aware of those who feel like they've been anointed to point out and 00:08:35.84\00:08:42.15 tear down and call out everything that is wrong in the 00:08:42.18\00:08:45.95 church. In fact, the problem is that we don't have a strong enough harvest in the church 00:08:45.99\00:08:51.43 because we've got too many church weeds. 00:08:51.46\00:08:55.50 You always are anxious whenever you see weeds in your grass or in your garden because what 00:08:55.53\00:09:04.54 weeds do is they kill everything in sight because they hoard all the nutrients from the soil. 00:09:04.57\00:09:10.51 They hoard all the water or hydration from the soil. 00:09:10.55\00:09:14.32 They'll even block the sunlight from getting to other plants. 00:09:14.35\00:09:18.15 And how many of us know that we got some weeds in the church? 00:09:18.19\00:09:21.86 And, see, be careful because they think they're coming to 00:09:21.89\00:09:26.46 befriend you but they're actually taking all of your hydration. They're robbing you 00:09:26.49\00:09:32.37 of all your nutrients and the crazy thing about some is that they will drive everybody out of 00:09:32.40\00:09:37.71 the church but still be sitting up here every Sabbath and you've got to be careful of the weeds 00:09:37.74\00:09:46.21 so they don't steal your joy. Can the church say, Amen? 00:09:46.25\00:09:48.18 [Congregation: Amen] 00:09:48.22\00:09:49.65 Pastor Snell: And so go back with me if you don't mind to 00:09:49.68\00:09:52.22 Exodus and I want you to go over one chapter to Chapter 35 00:09:52.25\00:09:55.66 and I want you to look at verse 30 as we quickly unpack the word today. Exodus 35:30. 00:09:55.69\00:10:03.16 When you get there say, Amen. 00:10:03.20\00:10:04.77 Exodus 35:30. The Bible says, "And Moses said to the children 00:10:04.80\00:10:11.87 of Israel, "See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son 00:10:11.91\00:10:17.58 of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; and He has filled him with the Spirit of 00:10:17.61\00:10:23.55 God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, to 00:10:23.59\00:10:33.36 design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, 00:10:33.40\00:10:42.50 in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic 00:10:42.54\00:10:47.78 workmanship." Now, saints, there are just again a few things I want to share with you today 00:10:47.81\00:10:51.25 but I need you to understand that in an unrealistic church, the members understand the 00:10:51.28\00:11:01.86 purpose of their gifts. See, I need to know that there's a formula. In an unrealistic 00:11:01.89\00:11:11.17 church, they have excessive people who give and they've got an excessive number of people 00:11:11.20\00:11:16.54 who serve. And, see, the reason we don't have an excessive number of people who serve is 00:11:16.57\00:11:21.64 because we don't understand the purpose of our gifts. You see, I need you to notice something, 00:11:21.68\00:11:28.25 saints. Did you notice that in the text that these men that the spirit falls on that they are 00:11:28.28\00:11:38.43 not Levites? In other words, these are not priests. They are not prophets. They are not a 00:11:38.46\00:11:47.07 part of the ecclesiastical order. But the Bible says that the spirit falls upon men that 00:11:47.10\00:11:55.64 have the gift to be able to engrave and embroider, to design and build and understand that 00:11:55.68\00:12:03.82 the same spirit that comes upon Moses to prophesy is the same spirit that comes upon them to 00:12:03.85\00:12:10.96 build and to put things in place. Now, I need you to get this because a surface reading 00:12:10.99\00:12:16.30 of the text makes it look like the spirit just came on them in 00:12:16.33\00:12:20.07 their sleep and equipped them with these gifts that they first put in use when they begin to 00:12:20.10\00:12:27.48 build the tabernacle. That's not true. In fact, up until this 00:12:27.51\00:12:31.25 point, the only time they've had a chance to use their gifts was to design and engraved buildings 00:12:31.28\00:12:39.22 and temples in the land of Egypt. 00:12:39.25\00:12:42.42 But the word says that it was the spirit that put in them the ability to perform this 00:12:42.46\00:12:50.27 workmanship, and what is being revealed is that even though they've only use these gifts in 00:12:50.30\00:12:57.07 Egypt, the gifts were actually given to them by God. 00:12:57.11\00:13:02.34 So, in other words, these gifts may have been honed in Egypt. They may have been developed in 00:13:02.38\00:13:09.68 Egypt. They may have been perfected in Egypt, 00:13:09.72\00:13:12.79 but the scripture is teaching us that the gifts were ultimately given to them by God. 00:13:12.82\00:13:18.43 In other words, friends, the purpose of this is to make an acknowledgement that all of the 00:13:18.46\00:13:26.60 gifts are given to us by Jesus. It is why the Book of James says that every good and perfect gift 00:13:26.63\00:13:35.98 comes from above and it comes down from the Father of Lights. 00:13:36.01\00:13:39.28 See, we think that the only spiritual gifts are the gifts to be able to preach and to sing. 00:13:39.31\00:13:46.09 But the Bible says that the spirit gave ability to people to do design work and engraving, 00:13:46.12\00:13:53.63 to teach and to do tapestry, 00:13:53.66\00:13:56.13 and I guess what I'm asking today - do I have at least seven or eight folk in the building 00:13:56.16\00:14:02.00 or online that understand every gift I have and every gift I manage centrally comes from God? 00:14:02.04\00:14:11.65 In other words, I need you to know, saints, that every gift you demonstrate has been given 00:14:11.68\00:14:20.42 to you from above. Is there anybody that understands that the ability to cut wood with 00:14:20.46\00:14:29.20 skill is a gift from God? That the ability to be patient with young people is a gift from God? 00:14:29.23\00:14:35.57 That if you have the stomach to handle the scent of a nursing home or ICU, it is a gift from 00:14:35.60\00:14:43.98 the Lord? The ability to design a room from top to bottom is a 00:14:44.01\00:14:50.05 gift from God. And what I need to say to somebody is that your gift may have been honed in 00:14:50.09\00:14:56.22 University, your intellect may have been trained through study, your gift may have been 00:14:56.26\00:15:02.63 developed in trade school, you may have been established in medical school, but the steady 00:15:02.66\00:15:10.11 hand of the surgeon came from God. And what I want to be clear on today is that I'm not 00:15:10.14\00:15:15.51 anti-education but too often what we do is we credit our alumni status, as if somehow, 00:15:15.54\00:15:26.55 the ivy league is what produced you, or somehow the trade school is what produced you, 00:15:26.59\00:15:30.19 or somehow your mentor is what produced you or somehow it is your HBCU that actually produced 00:15:30.23\00:15:38.27 you. And let me be clear, friends of mine, that I thank God for all of my teachers 00:15:38.30\00:15:43.91 but I give the praise to God who is my supplier. Is there anybody that knows that all they could 00:15:43.94\00:15:52.01 do was train and hone the gifts that have been given to you by God? In other words, let me say 00:15:52.05\00:16:00.32 it this way. I remember I was at a very important business meeting with some men who are 00:16:00.36\00:16:07.20 people of some means, and it's crazy because after we had eaten our good meal, one of the men 00:16:07.23\00:16:14.64 said, I want to call for the chef because what he wanted to do was compliment the chef. Now, 00:16:14.67\00:16:20.64 I need to know I've seen that on television, but I've never seen it happen in real life. And so 00:16:20.68\00:16:25.48 when the chef came out, he affirmed the food that has been 00:16:25.51\00:16:28.52 prepared and he talked about what a great job had been done then he took a very generous 00:16:28.55\00:16:34.96 gift financially and put it in the chef's hands. 00:16:34.99\00:16:36.89 And it's amazing because, after a while, the server got all in 00:16:36.93\00:16:42.46 their feelings and the server says, "I'm the one that plated the food and I'm the one that 00:16:42.50\00:16:48.67 delivered the food but you gave the gift to the chef," and the man quite bluntly said, 00:16:48.70\00:16:52.97 "I'll never put the one that delivered the food on the same level as the one that created 00:16:53.01\00:17:00.42 the food." And I guess what I'm saying is that when you've been 00:17:00.45\00:17:04.19 gifted by God, you never give the same credit to the one that honed the gift as you do to the 00:17:04.22\00:17:12.03 God that produced the gift and gave you the gift and developed it inside of you. Are you 00:17:12.06\00:17:22.04 hearing what I'm saying, church? And, see, the one thing I need us to understand is one of the 00:17:22.07\00:17:27.64 mistakes that we make is we make a distinction between spiritual gifts and secular gifts. 00:17:27.68\00:17:32.71 See, the problem with that is that it connotes the idea that there are certain gifts that are 00:17:32.75\00:17:39.72 given by the spirit and then there are certain gifts that emerge out of my own natural 00:17:39.75\00:17:44.99 ability. But how many of us know that every gift you have is 00:17:45.03\00:17:49.80 spiritual because they're all assigned and authored by Jesus 00:17:49.83\00:17:55.30 Christ. In fact, the only thing that makes certain gifts secular is where you actually employ 00:17:55.34\00:18:03.85 them. You see the miracle here in Exodus chapter 36 is essentially where God is 00:18:03.88\00:18:12.35 reclaiming his gifts. He's saying to his people, you have used my gifts to build Egypt, 00:18:12.39\00:18:25.07 now, I need you to use my gifts to build my work. See, one of the problems with the church as 00:18:25.10\00:18:28.74 we have emerged from the pandemic is that we use our gifts to build Egypt but we 00:18:28.77\00:18:43.52 withheld them from building up God's work. Can I just say it like I feel it today? I'll be 00:18:43.55\00:18:49.49 honest with you, as we've come from the pandemic, the only thing COVID is keeping us from 00:18:49.52\00:18:55.76 doing is serving God. Come on and say, Amen, today. The truth is COVID is not keeping us off 00:18:55.80\00:19:02.54 planes, it's not keeping us from going to work, it's not keeping us from going out of the 00:19:02.57\00:19:08.24 country, it's not keeping us from going to the game, it's not keeping us out of stadiums. The 00:19:08.28\00:19:14.58 only thing it's keeping us out of is the ministry and the work of Jehovah. And, see, I need us 00:19:14.62\00:19:19.59 to hear me on this, saints, because how many of us have been on this journey of unrealistic 00:19:19.62\00:19:23.69 faith? Has anybody been blessed by God in an unrealistic way, 00:19:23.73\00:19:27.73 but what I want to caution us is to not make the journey selfish where we're only believing for 00:19:27.76\00:19:35.70 my work. I only believe for my dreams. I only believe for my brand and I do it at the expense 00:19:35.74\00:19:44.75 of God's work. See, how many of us know that God doesn't want you to have to choose between 00:19:44.78\00:19:52.22 doing His work and doing your own? But he wants as you grow his work, I need you to know 00:19:52.25\00:20:00.66 that he's going to bless and grow your work. See, I need you to get that this text is so 00:20:00.70\00:20:07.07 critical because some of us are using our gifts to grow Egypt's work, but we're withholding them 00:20:07.10\00:20:14.21 from God's work. Do you realize that 1 Corinthians 12 literally says, saints, that your gifts 00:20:14.24\00:20:23.85 were given to you for the edification of the body, which is the Church of God and, see, 00:20:23.89\00:20:30.89 you will never be able to give your gifts until you understand why you have been given your 00:20:30.93\00:20:40.27 gifts and, see, the problem is that we give our gifts to Egypt but then we lease them to the 00:20:40.30\00:20:48.51 church. See, we're at a place where we're giving Egypt the first fruits and we're giving 00:20:48.54\00:20:55.35 Jehovah the leftovers or the remnants. And, see, this is why, friends, you to to understand 00:20:55.38\00:21:02.72 the purpose and the reason for your gifts. See, when I understand the purpose of my 00:21:02.76\00:21:15.94 gifts and I understand who's given me my gifts, I then understand who I'm under 00:21:15.97\00:21:20.34 obligation to. Okay? Let me say it again. When I understand who gave me the gift, it becomes 00:21:20.38\00:21:27.15 clear who I'm under obligation to. So, I need you to understand that you're not under obligation 00:21:27.18\00:21:32.09 to the one who pays you for your gifts, your under obligation to the one who supplied your gifts. 00:21:32.12\00:21:37.03 See, and that's why friends of mine when you come to serve in the church, this is why you 00:21:37.06\00:21:46.87 don't come in here like a volunteer who's doing God or doing the church or doing the 00:21:46.90\00:21:51.17 pastor a favor. When you come, you serve no matter whether or not you like the pastor. You 00:21:51.21\00:21:56.75 serve whether or not the folk get on your nerves. You serve even if nobody else comes. Why? 00:21:56.78\00:22:01.92 Because your obligation is not to the team, it's not to the people, your obligation is to 00:22:01.95\00:22:06.96 the one who gave you the gifts. And I'm going to just say something because I'm feeling 00:22:06.99\00:22:10.33 controversial today. This is why we need to eliminate the whole concept of ministry volunteers. 00:22:10.36\00:22:18.70 See, I need us to understand the reason we've embraced the idea of being a ministry volunteer. 00:22:18.73\00:22:26.01 Why? Because what that means is that I'm not under any real 00:22:26.04\00:22:31.25 obligation. You see real volunteers show up when they feel like it, they go home when 00:22:31.28\00:22:36.75 they feel like it. They serve when it's convenient and then they quit when it's not 00:22:36.79\00:22:41.16 convenient and see they act as if they are making a donation to something that is optional for 00:22:41.19\00:22:47.20 them. But how many of us know that if your gifts have been given to you by God that you're 00:22:47.23\00:22:52.60 not, I volunteer at the church, you are under an obligation to the God who actually gave you 00:22:52.63\00:22:59.71 the gifts. Let me say it how I feel it. You are volunteer at the YMCA. You volunteer at The 00:22:59.74\00:23:07.68 Parks and Recreation. You volunteer at the Community Reading Club, but when you come 00:23:07.72\00:23:13.19 to the house of God, you are a soldier that has enlisted in the army of Christ. You realize that 00:23:13.22\00:23:21.80 he is your commanding officer and because he gave you the gifts, you've got an obligation 00:23:21.83\00:23:29.04 to give them back to him and you feel like this is just your reasonable act of worship. 00:23:29.07\00:23:36.38 See, friends of mine, when you understand that your gifts come from God, when you're asked to 00:23:36.41\00:23:42.22 serve, the first question is not how much does it pay? Oh, God. 00:23:42.25\00:23:47.96 And let me be clear that I don't have a problem paying 00:23:47.99\00:23:50.39 or blessing those who serve in the church but how many of us understand that when your gifts 00:23:50.43\00:23:57.27 come from God, there is a different currency that you 00:23:57.30\00:24:00.67 seek. You seek a currency that is unto the God who gave where you live to hear him say 00:24:00.70\00:24:07.21 because you've been a good steward of your gifts. You just want to hear him say, "Well 00:24:07.24\00:24:13.75 done, good and faithful servants." 00:24:13.78\00:24:20.19 Do you understand, friends of mine, that the word Minister doesn't mean Pastor? 00:24:20.22\00:24:30.13 See, a pastor is just one of many types of ministers that actually help to grow the body 00:24:30.17\00:24:37.47 of Christ. Are you with me? But see the problem is because we have outsourced all of the 00:24:37.51\00:24:44.21 ministry responsibilities, when we say Minister, you only look for somebody that's been to 00:24:44.25\00:24:53.66 Oakwood or the Seminary. And see what we got to do, friends of mine, is we've got to 00:24:53.69\00:25:08.07 reinstitute the formula for success. See, I need somebody to understand this principle. The 00:25:08.10\00:25:17.85 reason why your work isn't blessed as it should be is because you've done it at the 00:25:17.88\00:25:23.05 expense of his work. See, God never designed you to have to choose between the growth of His 00:25:23.08\00:25:30.99 kingdom and the growth of your work, but see the issue is that we've got to prioritize it the 00:25:31.03\00:25:35.33 correct way. See, remember, go home and read Matthew chapter 6. There's some things Jesus told 00:25:35.36\00:25:44.44 us not to even worry about. Jesus says, stop worrying about pagan things. He says, don't 00:25:44.47\00:25:51.65 worry about what you're going to eat and what you're going to wear and where you're going to 00:25:51.68\00:25:57.02 live. While Pagans chase after that kind of stuff, your heavenly father knows what 00:25:57.05\00:26:00.12 things you have need of and he summarizes the whole thing in Matthew 6:33 when he says, "Seek 00:26:00.16\00:26:08.46 ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness." Watch this, "All other things will be added 00:26:08.50\00:26:16.64 unto you." Do y'all hear me today, saints? Do I have at least seven saints in the room 00:26:16.67\00:26:24.65 that can testify that when you put God first that you will not go lacking in any good thing. I 00:26:24.68\00:26:33.76 need you to know that when you put God first, God will bless you in an unrealistic way. When 00:26:33.79\00:26:39.93 you put his work first, he'll bless you in a way where the math doesn't even add up. That's 00:26:39.96\00:26:48.80 why God said if you give, it'll be given back to you. Press down, shaken together, and 00:26:48.84\00:26:53.17 running over. It's why the word says, "If you give a faithful tithe and offering, he'll bless 00:26:53.21\00:26:58.65 you in a way that you don't have room enough to be able to receive it." That's why the 00:26:58.68\00:27:04.55 Bible in Deuteronomy 28 says that if you obey the Commandments of the Lord, he 00:27:04.59\00:27:12.23 says I'll make you the head and not the tail. I'll put you above and not beneath. I'll make you a 00:27:12.26\00:27:20.10 lender and not a borrower. Is there anybody that knows that when you put God first, you'll 00:27:20.14\00:27:27.54 be blessed in the city, you'll be blessed in the field, you'll be blessed when you go in, 00:27:27.58\00:27:35.05 you'll be blessed when you come out? Your body is going to be blessed. Your children are going 00:27:35.08\00:27:41.66 to be blessed. Your enemies may come in a fist, but they don't run out like some fingers. I 00:27:41.69\00:27:52.30 need you to know that God will take care of those that prioritize his business. Pastor 00:27:52.33\00:27:57.24 Snell: Hey, hey everybody!
