daughter. One daughter about
twelve years of age and she lay

the master. But when Jesus heard

time to challenge you on the

Jairus quickly, a ruler of the

year old daughter, my only

death. But, if you can come and
lay hands on her, she will be

Let me remind somebody on the

offset, that because Jairus is
ruler of the synagogue, that
means Jairus is the one in

charge of worship. Jairus is the
pastor. Jairus is the elder.
Jairus leads the choir. Jairus

leads the praise team. Jairus is
a religious man, but the Bible
says, his daughter is sick.

Lesson number one for us today,
just because you work for the

Lord, just because you serve his
church, does not exempt you from
trial and tribulation.

I wish I had a witness in this
place. The rain falls on the
just and the unjust.

I have learned in my experience,
that those who serve the Lord,
those who work for the Lord,

will go through trials, will go
through...persecution, will go
through tribulation.

But, they will also
come out as pure gold.

The Bible says that Jairus's
daughter is sick, his only
daughter unto death.

And there is a large multitude
gathered by the seashore.

But, Jairus seeks Jesus because
Jairus knows that what he needs,
he doesn't need from anyone

he can only get from Jesus.

Jairus does not allow the crowd
to stop him from getting his

blessing. Jairus does not allow
the crowd, says stop him from
what he needs. He needs Jesus,

so he has to get Jesus.

Lesson number two for us today.
Don't you let anyone or anything
stop you from getting your

programmed. Because I'm trying
to get in the very presence of

God. Because in the presence of
God is the fullness of joy. So I
don't care who else is calling

on others thou art calling.

Jairus seeks Jesus. The Bible
says that Jesus went with him,
but on the way to Jairus's

daughter, there is an
interruption. There is a woman
with the issue of blood.

Now the contrast in this text
couldn't be more plain. One is a
man, the other is a woman.

One is the ruler of the
synagogue. The other has an
issue of blood. One is a man of
00:07:43.12\00:07:51.50
some standing. The other is a
woman whose problem would have
never been heard because she's a
00:07:51.53\00:07:57.64
woman. And to make this contrast
even more plain, Jairus asks
Jesus first. But there is an
00:07:57.67\00:08:07.68
interruption. There is a woman
who has had an issue of blood
for 12 years, who has just as
00:08:07.72\00:08:16.59
much as an emergency, as Jairus
does. But, Jairus asks first,
his condition is serious. Her
00:08:16.62\00:08:28.77
condition is serious. But,
Jairus is pleading with Jesus.
Come and go with me. But, you

know what? This woman, she too
needs her healing. This woman.
She too needs Jesus. And with

Jesus, just because it is not
your turn, does not mean it is
00:08:47.46\00:08:53.03
not your time. I wish I
had a witness to this place.

Today, somebody you're watching
right now and maybe somebody is

not getting healed because you
are trying to be sedated and
wait your turn. But, when your

situation gets bad enough, when
your situation gets tough
enough, you do not care who is

in front of you. You have got to
get your healing. You have got
to get your blessing.

Some people will never learn how
to get it. They will never learn
how to lay hands on God's

miracles because they're trying
to be sedate, cool, and calm.
But, when your situation gets

messed up enough, when your
situation gets jacked up enough,
when you need are sure enough

miracle, are you
hearing what I am saying?

You do not care who is looking
at you. You do not care who is

talking about. You just say,
Father, I stretch my hand to
thee because there is no other

help that I know. This woman is
desperate. She has an issue of
blood. It is constantly flowing.

She is constantly weak. There is
a stench. And it kept her from
church because in the Book of

Leviticus, a woman could not
enter the temple on the time of
00:09:59.76\00:10:03.67
her cycle. This woman had an
issue of blood that would not
dry up. It was chronic and the
00:10:03.70\00:10:09.37
issue was constant. She probably
even could not get married
because no man would come near
00:10:09.40\00:10:13.61
her. Because according to Old
Testament law, she had to cry
00:10:13.64\00:10:18.28
unclean. And if she were married
with children, she had to get
away from her family
00:10:18.31\00:10:22.38
because of her unclean
condition. So, this woman is
desperate, but Jairus is first.

He's first in line and in her
mind she says, I know it is not
my turn but I believe it is my
00:10:31.49\00:10:43.37
time. And friends, when your
situation gets desperate enough,
when your back up against the
00:10:43.41\00:10:51.45
wall, pride goes out the window.
Status goes out the window.
Degrees go out the window.

Social standing goes out the
window because when your
situation is tore up from the
00:11:01.09\00:11:08.23
floor up, you have
got to get to Jesus.
00:11:08.26\00:11:11.07
And it is in this woman's
desperate condition that she
develops a confidence

because the Bible teaches
that she had heard reports about
00:11:16.27\00:11:22.18
Jesus. She had to
then act on what she heard.

You see, I've learned in my life
is that sometimes you have got
to act on what you hear

until you get some
information of your own.

The woman says, look, I know I
won't get a chance to talk with

him. But, if I can just get to
where he is. If I could just
find out when and where he is

passing by. If I can just get
she said, in that crowd, I know
they do not want me there
00:11:48.20\00:11:53.91
because of my condition. But, I
am not worried about what they
want. I have got to get what I
00:11:53.94\00:12:00.08
need. And I believe, I have got
a witness who is watching right

now. Because I know I have got
some witnesses in this
sanctuary, who know that God

will make a way. That when your
back is against the wall and it
seems that all is over, God will

make a way. Yes, he will. He
will deliver. He will set you
free. He will dry the tears from

your eyes. He will heal
your body. God will make a way.

It is in this woman's desperate
condition that she mixes what
she believes with what she has

heard. And she says, if I can
just touch the hem of His
garments. She says I do not have

to talk to him. I do not have to
run up and get in his face. But
if I can just touch the helm of
00:12:41.39\00:12:48.03
His garment. Oh, I wish I had a
church in this place that I know
I can be made whole.

If I can just talk to some
prayer warriors, then I know.

If I can just talk to some
people who have been through
what I am going through,

then I know he will make a way.
And I have learned in my life,

you cannot say I know until you
can say, I have been. I have
been sick. I have been broke.

I have been depressed. I
have been lost. But, since I met

Jesus, what a wonderful change
in my life has been wrought
since Jesus came into my heart.

Since I met Jesus. Now, I know I
heard he turned water into wine.

I heard he fed five thousand
with two fish and five loaves of

bread. I heard he spat on the
ground, made mud, put it on a
man's eyes, and he could see.

But, when you look at your own
situation, now I know He is a
healer. Now I know He is a

provider. Now I know He is a
way-maker. Is there anybody who
knows what I am talking about?

I know that if I touch his
garments, I will be made whole.

Jesus was passing by on his
way to Jairus, who asked first.

But, although this woman was out
of turn, Jesus was not out of

time. She touched his clothes
and he stopped. And when he
stopped, the blood stopped.

Jesus oh...Hallelujah. He turns
around and he says, somebody

touched me. You all do not hear
what I am saying. Peter said,
Lord, what are you talking

people around here, touching
you, somebody is bound to touch

somebody, somebody touched me
because power has gone out from

There's a between bumping Jesus

people are bumping Jesus, not
touching Jesus. They are bumping

Bumping Bible study, not
touching Bible study. Bumping

Bumping Jesus, not touching
Jesus. But, I do not want to

Jesus. I am going to hold on to
Jesus and not let go.

The Bible says that the woman
touches Jesus. Her faith in
Jesus made her whole.

I've come to tell you that what
you maybe need to understand,

that even when it looks like
somebody else has to get their

miracle first, it doesn't change
the fact that your miracle is on
the way. Maybe God is saying,

I am just trying to see how they
are going to act when I bless
other people before I bless

them. I am trying to see if they
are going to have an attitude
when I bless somebody else

and they get the miracle.
When somebody else gets the

promotion, when somebody else
passes the test when somebody
else gets the job first when

somebody else graduates first.
When somebody else gets married
first. When somebody else gets

the house or the car first. When
somebody else gets out of debt
first. When somebody else gets

their healing first. The woman
got her healing first. But, what

about Jairus? So the story says,
one of Jairus's messengers comes
up to him and says Jairus, do

not worry about it. Do not
trouble the master. Your
daughter is dead. So, here is

Jairus now. If it were not for
this woman, we would have made

it on time. If it were not for
this interruption, we would have
gotten into the house on time.

distraction, we would have

Jairus's house. Jesus says I

James and John. Jesus says to
all the disciples, I appreciate

Peter, James and John because we
are getting ready to confront

the enemy. And I do not need no
scared soldiers. I just need
Peter, James, and John.

And lesson number four is
applicable for me today. The
closer you get to your miracle,

your crowd is going to get
smaller because everybody is

not... everybody is not going to
understand the level of
spiritual warfare that you are

about to enter into. I wish I

does not mean that there is

got to know who your Peter,
James, and John because

everything. They get to the
house. The people in the house

started laughing like Jesus was
crazy; that he was joking.

But then, I like what Verse 54

says. It says that Jesus put
them out of the house. That is
lesson number five for somebody

today. When you are praying for
a miracle. When you are looking
for a miracle expecting the

impossible, believing the
invisible, feeling the
intangible. If you got some

people in the midst who are
laughing, doubting, making fun,
and not believing in the name of

Jesus put them out. God told me
to tell somebody that there are
some people who are laughing at

what God is getting ready to do
in your life. People laughing at
me. Byrd, why are you leaving?

What are you doing laughing at
me? But, let them laugh all they

want. Let them talk all they
want. I am here to tell somebody
that God is about to make a way.

They think you are crazy for
believing something is about to

happen. But, God is about to
make a way. And God told me to

You need a child of God,

swinging, Holy Ghost

person who can stand in

that God can work a miracle in
your life. Late in the midnight

hour, God is going to turn it

aren't, as though they are. You

Lesson number six. There comes a
time in your life that you have

folks say are dead in your life.
You have to speak the stuff that

folks said would never get up.
You have got to speak to every
dead situation in your life

and you have got to declare in
the name of Jesus, get up and
that God will make a way.

I know that people may be
getting ready to have their

funeral. I know people may be
saying it is over, it can't

situations. But, there comes a
time when you got to speak life

your family. Life over your

grandchildren. Life over your
job. Life over your education.
Life over your friends. Life

over your finances. Life over
your sickness. Do you hear what
I am saying? You've got to learn

how to speak life. Come on, you
all. If the Devil was going to
kill you, he should have done it

couldn't do it. Why? God
wouldn't let him do it because
