Revelation 14. Second angel says
in Revelation chapter 14 verse
eight, "And there follow another
00:00:49.44\00:01:01.82
angel saying, Babylon has
fallen, has fallen, that great
city, because she made all
00:01:01.86\00:01:13.37
nations drink of the wine, of
the wrath of her fornication."
We are praying, oh Lord God have
00:01:13.40\00:01:27.15
Your way today. Speak to Your
people. Those watching by
television, those watching by

the internet, even those of us
who serve right now in this
sanctuary. Speak Lord, Your
00:01:31.25\00:01:41.30
servants hear it. Now, Father,
I pray that You would make your

word plain. And may Your people
receive what You have to say
today, through the message of

Your second angel. Forgive me of
my sins hiding behind the cross
of Christ. And may Your name be

glorified. May Your people
be edified, and may the devil be

horrified today. Pray this
prayer asking that at the appeal
time, Lord, You do what You do.

angel of Revelation 14. You will
remember from last week in part

one, that the first angel of
Revelation 14 is calling people
back to worship the true God.

The first angel says, fear God,
glorify God, and worship God.

The first angel is then
followed by the second angel.

And the fact that this second
angel is referred to as the

second one and that he follows
the first angel shows that their
two messages are related.

The message of the second angel
of Revelation 14 is the
complement to the first angel,

in that God is calling us back
to true worship, to Him, with
the first angel's message.

And then the second angel's
message tells us that in
addition to worshiping God, we

must reject all systems, all
schemes, religious or secular,
that are in opposition to God.

In other words, worship God, and
then renounce anything that is
in opposition to God. Simply

put, it is God or Satan. Jesus
said, "No man can serve two
masters." Elijah said, "How long

halt he between two opinions? If
the Lord be God, then follow Him
if Baal, then follow him."

Joshua said, "Choose you this
day whom you are going to serve.
But as for me, and my house,

we are going to serve the Lord."
The first angel's message, it is

worship God. The second angel's
message is reject anything other

than God. So, the second angel
begins its message by saying,
"Babylon is fallen, is fallen,

that great city." Here in the
text, Babylon is identified as a
city. Now, we have a bunch of
00:04:34.27\00:04:40.74
great cities in our
world today. but in this text,
00:04:40.78\00:04:42.68
we are not talking about literal
Babylon. We are talking about
figurative Babylon.

Babylon in this context is the
in-time worldwide religious
coalition that stands against

God and God's people. Babylon
represents all the plans and
programs that attempt to
00:04:57.89\00:05:05.70
frustrate God's plan for the
world. Babylon is a religious
system that stands in opposition
00:05:05.73\00:05:13.84
to the gospel that is backed by
the political powers of the
world. The nations of the world
00:05:13.88\00:05:21.75
associate themselves with
Babylon for the purpose of
perceived economic security and
00:05:21.78\00:05:28.46
prosperity. But soon, Babylon
will experience God's wrath.
Soon, Babylon's power will come

to an end. Because at the end of
the day, I serve a God who's got
the last word. Remember, the

first angel says, "The gospel is
everlasting." But the second
angel says, "Babylon is fallen."

Which means, Babylon is
temporary, Babylon is not
permanent. Just like the prophet

Jeremiah, proclaim in Jeremiah
chapter 51 verse number eight,
that Old Testament Babylon, the

actual city, Jeremiah said, "Had
fallen and broken up." The
second angel of Revelation 14,

announces the end-time
collapse of figurative Babylon.

Now, the text says, "Babylon is
fallen, is fallen." Let us
understand what Babylon means.

Babylon means spiritual
confusion. How do we know
Babylon means spiritual

confusion. Babylon comes from
the root word Babel or Babel,
however you want to pronounce

it. We recognize in Genesis
chapter 11, the children of
Israel, because of their desire

to reach heaven, because of
their desire to never again be
destroyed by a flood, and they

wanted to reach heaven, the
Bible says in Genesis 11, that
they began to build a tower

trying to reach heaven. But
their desire was not God's
desire, their will was not God's
00:07:14.36\00:07:21.60
will and their desire and their
will was in conflict with God's
will. And we discover that God

had to stop them. Well, how did
God stop them? Well, He could
not stop them by a flood,

because remember, He said, there
would never be water again that
would destroy the Earth.

How would then God stop the
children of Israel from building

this tower? Bible says that
God confounded them by language.

What do you mean? By language,
there were some people that
began to speak English.

There were some people that
began to speak Spanish. There
were some people that began to

speak French. There were some
people that began to speak
Chinese and Aramaic and Greek

and all different types of
languages. There were some
people that began to speak

Hebrew, and all of a sudden,
their building plans came to a
halt, because God confounded

them by language, they all began
to speak a different language,
they began to speak different

languages at the same time, and
there was confusion. They could
not continue the tower,

confusion reigned. And so, just
like the Tower of Babel, just
like Babylon was confusion in

the Old Testament. End time,
Babylon will promote spiritual
confusion. End time, Babylon

will promote lies. In time,
Babylon will promote falsehoods.
In time, Babylon will promote

deception. In time, Babylon will
try to make you think that God's
true people are wrong,

when in actuality Babylon is
wrong. The text says, "Babylon
is fallen, is fallen,

that great city because she made
all nations drink of the wine of
the wrath of her fornication."

Babylon made all nations of the
world participate in her
foolishness. What am I talking

about? Take your Bibles and go

Revelation. And let us go to

Revelation chapter 17.
Remembering that the second

angel says, "Babylon is fallen."
Go to Revelation chapter 17 and
we are going to verse number

one, Revelation 17, verse number
one, the Word of God says, "And
there came one of the seven

angels, which had the seven
vials and talk with me saying
unto me, "Come heither,

I will show unto thee the
judgment of the great whore that
sitteth upon many waters."

Let's stop here. In Bible
prophecy, a woman represents a
church. A woman represents a

church. In Revelation chapter 17
verse number one, the Bible says
that a great whore sits on many

waters. So, therefore, if a
great whore sits on many waters,
and a woman represents a church
00:10:05.17\00:10:13.58
and Bible prophecy, a whore is
not a good woman, which means
then if a woman represents a
00:10:13.61\00:10:19.18
church, and a whore is not a
good woman, then this must be a
bad church. This bad church sits

on many waters. Well, Doc Byrd,
what is many waters? What does
that mean in scripture? Go down

now. And then we shout you and

the waters which thou saw us,

number one, the Bible says that
this great whore sits on many

this whore, this bad woman, this
bad church sits on many people.

Let us continue to read the Word
of God. Go to verse number two,
Revelation 17-2 says, with whom

the kings of the earth have
committed fornication, and the
inhabitants of the earth had

been made drunk with the wine of
her fornication. Now we know
that fornication means
00:11:23.78\00:11:32.12
immorality, we know that. But we
also understand in Bible
prophecy, wine means teachings.

So, we discover this woman is
associated with the kings of the
earth. They have committed

fornication, immorality, and the
inhabitants of the earth, having
made drunk with the teachings of
00:11:44.57\00:11:50.51
her immorality. Go back to verse
three, "So he carried me away in
the spirit in the wilderness,
00:11:50.54\00:11:57.85
and I saw a woman sit upon a
scarlet colored beast, full of
names and blasphemy, having
00:11:57.88\00:12:01.15
seven heads and 10 horns." Verse
four, "And the woman was arrayed
in purple and scarlet color,

and deck with golden precious
stones and pearls, having a
golden cup in her hand full of
00:12:04.19\00:12:08.99
abominations and filthiness, in
her fornication." Verse five,
"And upon her forehead was a
00:12:09.02\00:12:15.53
name written 'mystery', Babylon
the Great, the Mother of Harlots
and abominations of the earth."

Now, let us stop there. Verse
five says, this woman, that
there is seen were on inscribed

on her forehead, mystery,
Babylon the great, the Mother of
Harlots and abominations of the

earth. Now, we have already
established that a harlot is a
woman, but a harlot is a bad
00:12:39.32\00:12:44.93
woman. So, the text says,
"Mother of harlots", which means
mother of bad churches.

When we talk about a mother, a
mother is a woman too. So, that
00:12:50.93\00:12:55.74
means a church, the mother
church is the mother of all bad
churches. Are you hearing what I

am saying? Mystery, Babylon, the
great confusion, the mother,
mother church of all harlots,

bad churches, and abominations
of the earth. Well, "Pastor Byrd
who is the mother church?" Well,

the answer is very clear. The
mother church is the Roman
Catholic Church. "What are you

talking about? What do you mean,
the Roman Catholic Church is the
mother church?" Well, let us

understand a little history
right now. The Roman Catholic
Church sees itself as the
00:13:26.47\00:13:33.44
extension of the New Testament
Church. So, in other words, we
have the Old Testament, we have

the New Testament Church, and
then we have the Roman Catholic
00:13:36.54\00:13:39.95
Church because they think they
are the extension of the New
00:13:39.98\00:13:43.39
Testament Church. How do they
think they are the extension of
the New Testament church?

Well, they get this belief from
the Scripture, Matthew 16:18,
where Jesus says, "Thou art
00:13:47.19\00:13:54.20
Peter, and upon this rock, shall
I build my Church." Understand,
with this text, they made Peter

the first pope. If you study
Roman Catholic history, you will
discover that Peter is listed
00:14:03.87\00:14:06.78
and identified as the first pope
based on this text "Thou art
Peter", Jesus is speaking, "Upon
00:14:06.81\00:14:14.18
this rock, I will build my
church." And so, because of
00:14:14.22\00:14:16.85
that, the Roman Catholic Church
sees itself as the extension of
the New Testament Church making
00:14:16.89\00:14:22.59
it the mother church because
Peter was its first pope. But
Roman Catholics got it wrong.

Jesus wasn't saying, "On Peter,
Petrus, we will build this
00:14:28.16\00:14:32.80
church." But what Jesus was
saying is, "Peter, you are
Peter, put upon this rock shall

I build my Church." But Jesus
was speaking up himself, because
Jesus Christ is the solid rock.

On Christ, the solid rock I
stand on other ground is sinking

sand. So, in the year 1517,
there comes this man who says,
"Wait a minute, what the mother

church is teaching, what it is
sharing, what it is making
people do is not in harmony with

the Word of God. And if it ain't
in the word, it does not deserve
to be heard." This gentleman was

Martin Luther, and Martin Luther
in the year 1517 says, "I am
going to make 95 statements, or

95 thesis, and I am going to
nail them to the church's door
at the church in Wittenberg,

Germany." Now you need to
understand it took a lot of
00:15:26.29\00:15:28.86
courage. It took a lot of faith
for Martin Luther to go up
against the church. But every
00:15:28.89\00:15:35.30
now and then, in every season,
God calls men, God calls women
to stand for the right though
00:15:35.33\00:15:42.20
the heavens fall, because if God
before us who can be against us,
no weapon formed against us is
00:15:42.24\00:15:49.21
going to prosper. Martin Luther
stood up to the mother church
and said, "What you are doing,

what you are saying is wrong."
He nailed 95 statements to the
door of church in Wittenberg.

From this, Martin Luther says,
"The church needs to reform, the
church needs to base its actions

and beliefs on sola scriptura.
The scriptures and the

scriptures alone, the church
needs to base its beliefs on the
'just shall live by faith'.

as the Protestant Reformation,

protests against the mother

the protestant reformation. Out
of the protestant reformation,

and new churches begin to spring

up. Martin Luther says, "Wait a
minute, mother, you are talking
about the fact that we have to

pay money to receive forgiveness
from sin. Why do we have to pay
money to receive forgiveness of

sin?" The church said, "You have
to pay indulgences. These are

fees because they were trying to
collect money to build a new
Cathedral." But Martin Luther

said, "Why do I have to pay in
order to receive forgiveness of
sin? Jesus already paid it all.

All to Him I owe. Sin had left a
crimson stain, but Jesus washed
it white as snow. Sola

scriptura, the scriptures and
the scriptures alone, I do not
have to pay to receive

forgiveness of sin." Remember
now, Babylon is fallen, is

this wine is. Go with me now to

Revelation chapter 18. Let us go
to Revelation chapter 18. And I
want to begin reading verse

18. And we are going to verse
number one, the Word of God

saw another angel come down from
heaven, having great power, and

"For all nations have drunk of
the wine of the wrath of her

the earth have committed
fornication with her

and the merchants of the earth

abundance of her delicacies."

Let us stop right there.
The text says, verse three,

the wine of the wrath of her

fornication." Now remember we
said Babylon was a religious
system, secular or spiritual,

a religious system that would
seek to overthrow God and God's

people. Fallen nations have
drank of the wine of the wrath
of God, what is wine?

When we study wine in
Bible prophecy, wine represents

teachings. So, all nations have
drunk of the teachings of the
wrath of her fornication,

her immorality, and the kings of
the earth have committed
immorality with her

and the merchants of the earth

abundance of her delicacies.

Mama made her children drink
her wine. Because mother church,

made her daughter churches
drink her wine, which is her

teachings. The daughter
churches, and people now today
are drunk because when you drink

wine, you get drunk. Are you
hearing what I am saying? Now, I
am told, because I have never

drunk in my life, but I am told
that when you drink wine, you
get drunk, and when you get

drunk, you cannot walk right.
When you get drunk, you cannot
talk right. When you get drunk,

you are drunk. Are you hearing
what I am saying? The text says

that mama, Mother Church, made
her harlots, daughter churches,
drunk by her teachings. And so

right, her children cannot talk
right, her children cannot think

drinking mama's wine. You all do
hear what I am saying?

are some of the teachings?

What are some of the wine
that mama has made her children

drink?" Well, some of the wine
that she has made her children
drink, indulgences.

What do you mean
indulgences? Well, remember,

mother said you had to pay in
order to receive forgiveness of

sin. But we realize that is not
in the Word of God. That is one
of mama's teachings and because

of the teachings, she has made
her children drunk. Because her
children have thought,

I have got to pay money to
receive forgiveness of sin. But
as we said it earlier,

we do not have to pay money to
receive forgiveness of sin,
Jesus already paid it all.

Another one of mama's wine or
one of mama's teachings, well,
in order to receive forgiveness

your business, you got to go
confess your sins to a man

Bible says I do not have to do
that. I am not getting drunk on

we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us

all unrighteousness. I do not
have to go confess my sins to a

man in a window, I can boldly go
to the throne room of grace, and
Jesus will hear me because two

thousand years ago, Jesus went
to Calvary. His blood was
spilled for my sins. He was

wounded from my transgressions,
bruised from my iniquities, fit
chastised with my peace was upon

Him, but by Him stripes,
hallelujah, I am healed today.

What is more of that wine? Those
teachings, Sunday sacredness,
that the first day of the week,

Sunday is the Sabbath. No, no,
no, that is wine. That is false
teaching. The Bible does not say

Sunday, the Bible says, remember
the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
Six days without labor, do all

that work. But the seventh day
is the Sabbath of the Lord thy
God. That is why I am preaching

am worshiping God on this

Sabbath. I refuse to be drunk. I
refuse to talk out of my head. I

does God say we need to do?

He say we need to do? I heard
another voice from heaven

God is telling us today Babylon
is fallen, is fallen.

four, come out of Babylon, come

out of her. God is not calling
you to change Babylon. God is
not calling you to reform

come up out of Babylon. Do not
try to reform a church. Somebody

got to reform this group, I got
