Let me read that one more time "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ 00:01:31.19\00:01:36.79 hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of 00:01:36.83\00:01:42.86 bondage. Today, we want to challenge you with this tax on the subject, Liberty is 00:01:42.90\00:01:49.20 pregnant. Again. Liberty is pregnant again. God bless us 00:01:49.24\00:01:54.28 now. We pray this prayer asking for forgiveness of sin in Jesus' 00:02:31.88\00:02:38.15 name. Amen. Liberty is pregnant again. 00:02:38.19\00:02:46.53 Today, as everyone has said is July fourth, America's birthday. 00:02:46.56\00:02:55.34 July fourth, America's birthday. Independence Day. Two hundred and forty-four years ago, 00:02:55.37\00:03:02.74 America got its freedom. America got its liberty and independence 00:03:02.78\00:03:10.79 from Britain. Now to make sure you are with me today. I am going to quickly do a historical 00:03:10.82\00:03:15.22 review. A historical review of America's history. 00:03:15.26\00:03:18.23 Now, you remember that in the seventeenth century, that is in the sixteen hundreds, 00:03:18.26\00:03:22.70 the pilgrims and the Puritans came to America. So they could practice religious freedom. 00:03:22.73\00:03:29.67 They wanted to worship as they wanted. They wanted to preach as 00:03:29.70\00:03:33.94 they wanted. They wanted to sing as they wanted. They wanted to serve as they wanted. 00:03:33.98\00:03:38.58 They wanted to be free. You also remember that it was in the next 00:03:38.61\00:03:43.82 century, the eighteenth century, the seventeen hundreds, 00:03:43.85\00:03:46.39 that Great Britain established a number of colonies in America, 00:03:46.42\00:03:51.49 but it was not just the British who want colonies in America. 00:03:51.53\00:03:54.73 It was also the French who wanted colonies in America. 00:03:54.73\00:03:58.10 So there was a war between the British and the French and it was called the French 00:03:58.13\00:04:03.81 and Indian War. The British won in this war. They defeated the 00:04:03.84\00:04:11.01 French, but after this war Britain was in some debt because 00:04:11.05\00:04:17.19 of the war and so Britain wanted to pay some of its war debts. So what the Britain decided to do, 00:04:17.22\00:04:22.82 the king of Britain and the British Parliament believed that 00:04:22.86\00:04:26.70 they had to right, the right to tax the American colonies, 00:04:26.73\00:04:30.10 but the American colonists they did not see it this way. 00:04:30.13\00:04:33.34 They did not like the idea of being taxed by Britain 00:04:33.37\00:04:37.31 and then having no say-so in their own government affairs. 00:04:37.34\00:04:42.48 And so the phrase and you all know it, no taxation without representation became popular. 00:04:42.51\00:04:49.52 As a result, the American Revolutionary War was fought from seventeen seventy-five to 00:04:49.55\00:04:55.29 seventeen eighty-three and it was fought between Great Britain 00:04:55.32\00:04:59.76 and the Thirteen American Colonies. The colonies, 00:04:59.79\00:05:03.67 one resulting in the overthrow of British rule in the colonies 00:05:03.70\00:05:08.67 and the establishment of the United States of America. 00:05:08.70\00:05:18.05 America was born. Freedom from Britain was realized. 00:05:18.08\00:05:21.55 Independence from Britain was granted now to consummate this 00:05:21.58\00:05:28.82 Independence, the Declaration of Independence was adopted 00:05:28.86\00:05:31.89 and signed by the Continental Congress on July the fourth, 00:05:31.93\00:05:34.96 seventeen seventy-six and the Thirteen American Colonies broke 00:05:35.00\00:05:39.77 their political connections to Great Britain. This declaration said. We all learned it in 00:05:39.80\00:05:46.41 school. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are 00:05:46.44\00:05:53.25 created equal and they have three basic rights that the government can not take away, 00:05:53.28\00:06:01.92 life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but friends, you can not take what you have never 00:06:01.96\00:06:09.76 given because over these two hundred and fifty years. 00:06:09.80\00:06:12.37 This ideology of Liberty has been more acceptable in theory 00:06:12.40\00:06:19.77 than in practice. What am I talking about? In the Declaration of Independence, 00:06:19.81\00:06:23.31 the founding fathers presented grand, stately, and lofty written words of freedom, 00:06:23.35\00:06:30.65 liberty, and equality but these were nothing more than hypocritical, sanctimonious, 00:06:30.69\00:06:38.13 self-serving, feel good, and sound good words 00:06:38.16\00:06:42.66 because while they wrote these words there were still six million black people who were 00:06:42.70\00:06:48.10 enslaved in America. So in seventeen seventy-six America 00:06:48.14\00:06:55.58 was born, but in seventeen seventy-six, Liberty was 00:06:55.61\00:07:01.65 stillborn. And so today nearly two hundred and fifty years 00:07:01.68\00:07:05.55 later, I am what I call a conflicted American, 00:07:05.59\00:07:09.62 there is a conflict between what I have been taught versus what I 00:07:09.66\00:07:15.36 have been shown. History books have taught freedom, but actual history has shown something 00:07:15.40\00:07:21.87 else. Somebody is still not getting it, so let me break this 00:07:21.90\00:07:25.11 down. Thomas Jefferson, principal author of the Declaration of Independence 00:07:25.14\00:07:31.58 and third president of the United States was a slave owner 00:07:31.61\00:07:37.85 who had an affair with his black slave mistress, Sally Hemings. 00:07:37.89\00:07:41.82 Their lecherous, lude and lust -ful, produced six children, 00:07:41.86\00:07:49.56 but if all men were created equal, why did Thomas Jefferson, 00:07:49.60\00:07:55.40 author of the Declaration of Independence have slaves. 00:07:55.44\00:07:59.44 If all men were created equal, why did Native Americans have to 00:07:59.47\00:08:04.91 give up their land and be relegated to reservations usually on the worst patches of 00:08:04.95\00:08:09.55 land? If all men were created equal in seventeen seventy-six, 00:08:09.58\00:08:14.16 then why were blacks counted as three-fifths of a person at the 00:08:14.19\00:08:19.29 Constitutional Convention in seventeen eighty-seven? If all men were created equal, 00:08:19.33\00:08:24.27 then why were black people, slaves, until the adoption of the Thirteenth Amendment 00:08:24.30\00:08:29.20 in eighteen sixty-five when slavery was abolished? If all men were created equal, 00:08:29.24\00:08:35.74 then why could not black people vote until the adoption of the Fifteenth Amendment 00:08:35.78\00:08:40.78 in eighteen seventy that said "Voting rights could not be denied on account of race 00:08:40.82\00:08:45.89 or color."? If all men were created equal, 00:08:45.92\00:08:49.56 then why could not women vote until the Nineteenth Amendment was passed in nineteen 00:08:49.59\00:08:53.70 twenty? If all men were created equal, 00:08:53.73\00:08:57.27 then why did we have to push for the Civil Rights Voting Act, 00:08:57.30\00:09:00.90 Civil Rights Act in nineteen sixty-four and the Voting Right Act in nineteen sixty-five? 00:09:00.94\00:09:08.01 Jesus wants to know. I want to know just like all men are created equal seem to apply 00:09:08.04\00:09:19.52 only to the white property only males at the time of the Declaration of Independence 00:09:19.55\00:09:22.89 in seventeen seventy-six. 00:09:22.92\00:09:24.89 There is still a question of whether we are living up to this universal standard of 00:09:24.93\00:09:28.43 equality in twenty twenty, which leaves to the reality that 00:09:28.46\00:09:36.24 America was born, but Liberty was stillborn. I hear people all the time, "Pastor, it is twenty 00:09:36.27\00:09:44.51 twenty, the world is different. Things have changed. Quit holding on to the past. 00:09:44.55\00:09:53.12 Get over it." but I can not get over it in twenty twenty. 00:09:53.15\00:09:57.53 When Ahmaud Arbery is shot while jogging, Breonna Taylor shot 00:09:57.56\00:10:02.76 while sleeping and George Floyd's got a knee to his neck. 00:10:02.80\00:10:06.03 I can not get over it in twenty twenty when black persons 00:10:06.07\00:10:09.57 have a COVID-19 hospitalization rate approximately five times higher than that of 00:10:09.60\00:10:14.38 their white counterparts and in a period of the coronavirus 00:10:14.41\00:10:18.51 pandemic, where more than one hundred and twenty-five thousand 00:10:18.55\00:10:21.58 people have died from this virus in America and millions of others have lost their health 00:10:21.62\00:10:26.79 care due to lost jobs. The White House is trying to end Obamacare which will leave twenty-three 00:10:26.82\00:10:32.43 million Americans without health coverage and make it harder for 00:10:32.46\00:10:36.36 sick people to get new coverage at a time when the coronavirus is disproportionately impacting 00:10:36.40\00:10:41.74 Black and Latino Americans and leaving hundreds of thousands 00:10:41.77\00:10:45.87 with potentially lasting health problems. I can not get over it. 00:10:45.91\00:10:48.31 But what are we going to do? 00:10:48.34\00:10:50.41 So today, I just have one verse in my text, Galatians five one, 00:10:50.45\00:10:55.65 the Apostle Paul says simply, "Stand fast therefore in the Liberty wherewith Christ 00:10:55.68\00:11:01.32 hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of 00:11:01.36\00:11:07.20 bondage.". I like the way the New International Version puts 00:11:07.23\00:11:09.93 it, it says, "It is for freedom, Hallelujah, that Christ has set 00:11:09.96\00:11:15.27 us free, stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.". 00:11:15.30\00:11:22.94 Now, let me help you understand what Paul is saying here. 00:11:22.98\00:11:25.28 Paul here is warning the Galatians not to put the yoke of the law back on again. 00:11:25.31\00:11:29.05 He is telling the Galatian church that number one, 00:11:29.08\00:11:31.59 there were people who had rejected the gospel of grace. 00:11:31.62\00:11:34.32 There were people who had started saying that believing in Jesus was not enough 00:11:34.36\00:11:38.73 and then number three, there were people who were teaching 00:11:38.76\00:11:41.56 that, to be saved they still need to be circumcised, 00:11:41.60\00:11:44.93 circumcised and obey the ceremonial law or the law of ordinances or the Mosaic law. 00:11:44.97\00:11:50.71 So Paul tells them that they believe all of this then they do 00:11:50.74\00:11:55.14 not believe that Christ's death on the cross was sufficient to save them from their sins, 00:11:55.18\00:12:01.18 for the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, 00:12:01.22\00:12:06.72 Our Lord. Paul was trying to stress to them that living under the ceremonial law not to 00:12:06.76\00:12:11.23 be confused with the Ten Commandment law but living under the ceremonial law could never 00:12:11.26\00:12:16.13 bring freedom. That it can only bring bondage. 00:12:16.16\00:12:19.07 But when Christ Jesus came he fulfilled the requirement of the 00:12:19.10\00:12:24.31 ceremonial law and was the atonement, Hallelujah, for our sins and that through Christ's 00:12:24.34\00:12:28.18 death. There was no longer a need to kill animals, no longer need to sacrifice lambs. 00:12:28.21\00:12:33.65 Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sins of the 00:12:33.68\00:12:37.42 world, which means then that the burden that the yolk was lifted 00:12:37.45\00:12:41.69 from the people because the requirement of the ceremonial law had been met by Jesus 00:12:41.72\00:12:46.33 Christ. The Lamb of God was sacrificed in their place and put simply, Jesus had set them 00:12:46.36\00:12:54.17 free, Instead of living in the freedom of Christ. 00:12:54.20\00:12:56.71 The Galatians thought they needed something more. 00:12:56.74\00:12:59.77 So the Galatians allowed some folk to come in and spread some 00:12:59.81\00:13:04.38 heresy among them. They allowed fold to deceive them into thinking they needed something 00:13:04.41\00:13:08.02 more, in order to earn their freedom, in order to earn their 00:13:08.05\00:13:13.09 salvation. But let me remind you today, we can never earn our 00:13:13.12\00:13:17.73 Salvation. Our Salvation in the sight of God is but as filthy rags and more than that, 00:13:17.76\00:13:23.47 if we try to earn our Salvation, we deny the truth of God's 00:13:23.50\00:13:29.07 grace. Paul says, "It is Jesus' sacrifice that restores us to a right relationship with God.", 00:13:29.10\00:13:33.88 but do not get it twisted. Yes, we have been freed from sin, 00:13:33.91\00:13:36.48 but we are not free to sin. Yes, we have been ransom. Yes, the debt was paid on Calvary. 00:13:36.51\00:13:43.59 Jesus paid it all. Yes, we have been saved from a sinful life 00:13:43.62\00:13:47.19 and brought it to freedom through the precious blood of 00:13:47.22\00:13:50.39 Jesus, but that does not mean we go out and sin. 00:13:50.43\00:13:52.73 Yes, we are free from the traditions of the ceremonial 00:13:52.76\00:13:55.90 law, but we are not free to disregard or break God's Ten 00:13:55.93\00:13:59.73 Commandment law. And so what does Paul tell us he says, stand up. He says, stand firm. 00:13:59.77\00:14:05.37 In the freedom which Christ and Christ along brings. 00:14:05.41\00:14:08.51 He says stand and when he says stand, 00:14:08.54\00:14:12.35 it is a reminder that freedom comes at the cost of continued 00:14:12.38\00:14:17.62 vigilance. You got to stand daily. You got to stand weekly. You gotta stand monthly. 00:14:17.65\00:14:22.76 You got to stand yearly. Standing does not stop. 00:14:22.79\00:14:27.03 When you stand for something, it never stops. 00:14:27.03\00:14:31.20 The Galilean Christians were beginning to drift they were beginning to drift. 00:14:31.23\00:14:34.07 They were beginning to drift away, beginning to drift from the values of Jesus 00:14:34.10\00:14:37.91 they were beginning to drift from their priorities 00:14:37.94\00:14:40.04 and their priority that Jesus that Paul gave them a Galatians five can be read in verse 00:14:40.08\00:14:44.45 number fourteen, where they were to love their neighbors as 00:14:44.48\00:14:48.72 themselves. That is the context of Galatians five, 00:14:48.75\00:14:51.19 but I do not want to limit our use of the text today to its just so contextual use, 00:14:51.22\00:14:56.02 but today I also want us to consider from this text, a 00:14:56.06\00:15:00.53 topical use. Remember, Paul says, it is for freedom that Christ has set us free. 00:15:00.56\00:15:06.53 Stand firm and do not let yourselves be burdened again by 00:15:06.57\00:15:12.34 a yoke of slavery. Today is July fourth. Two hundred forty four years ago, today America was 00:15:12.37\00:15:22.25 born. Today America celebrates its independence. 00:15:22.28\00:15:26.59 Today we are reminded of the Declaration of Independence. 00:15:26.62\00:15:31.66 Today we are reminded of life, liberty, and the pursuit of 00:15:31.69\00:15:37.87 happiness. And just like the text tells us, Do not let the ceremonial law keep you in 00:15:37.90\00:15:43.57 slavery. God told me to tell somebody. Don't let the law of supremacy, the law of privilege, 00:15:43.61\00:15:51.41 the law of xenophobic, chauvinistic, racist, prejudiced, bigger than 00:15:51.45\00:15:58.35 inequality, keep you in slavery. 00:15:58.39\00:16:00.22 The Galatians had gotten out of a spiritual 00:16:00.26\00:16:02.82 slavery with the ceremonial laws, but they were still in a 00:16:02.86\00:16:07.60 salvific slavery because they did not understand what Jesus had done for them on Calvary 00:16:07.66\00:16:11.87 and some of us today are just like the Israelites. 00:16:11.90\00:16:15.20 Some of us today are just like the Galatians 00:16:15.24\00:16:17.67 but we are not in a physical slavery per se but many of us 00:16:17.71\00:16:23.45 black and white are in a supremacy slavery. 00:16:23.48\00:16:27.85 Privileged folk think this is how it is supposed to be. 00:16:27.88\00:16:32.19 Underprivileged folk think this is how it always will be. 00:16:32.22\00:16:37.63 But with all that is going on in our world as of late, 00:16:37.66\00:16:41.63 with all the awareness that has been brought up to the forefront 00:16:41.66\00:16:46.30 regarding racial inequality, we now have an opportunity for Liberty to really be born. 00:16:46.33\00:16:53.61 We have an opportunity for Independence to be born. 00:16:53.64\00:16:57.65 We now have an opportunity for Freedom to be born. 00:16:57.68\00:17:02.42 Just like our forefathers could birth their freedom by severing 00:17:02.45\00:17:08.56 ties with Britain. Today, our country, our community, our city, and our church, 00:17:08.59\00:17:14.23 we have the opportunity to birth Freedom today with our severing of ties with supremacy, 00:17:14.30\00:17:20.47 racism, oppression, and inequality. And so my cried today Liberty is pregnant again. 00:17:20.50\00:17:29.31 But Pastor Byrd, how can something be born? When 00:17:29.34\00:17:34.18 something is old, it reminds me of Jesus' conversation with 00:17:34.22\00:17:37.65 Nicodemus, when Jesus told Nicodemus he had to be born 00:17:37.69\00:17:41.59 again, but how can a man be born when a man is old? 00:17:41.62\00:17:45.03 How can a man take his old mature self all the way back to a one-celled embryo? 00:17:45.06\00:17:50.53 How can life be transformed? How can something be made new? 00:17:50.57\00:17:55.34 How can something new be seen? How can politics be transcended? 00:17:55.37\00:18:00.48 How can laws be change? How can policies be reversed? 00:18:00.51\00:18:04.78 How can practices be reformed? How can philosophies be 00:18:04.81\00:18:09.15 transformed? How can perspectives be amended? How can minds be converted? 00:18:09.18\00:18:13.62 How can supremacy be abolished? How can racism be eradicated? 00:18:13.66\00:18:18.26 How can oppression be obliterated? How can slavery be 00:18:18.29\00:18:23.37 eliminated? How can all men be equal? 00:18:23.40\00:18:26.40 How can we truly be one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all? 00:18:26.43\00:18:33.07 How can Liberty be born again? Yes, we need heart changes, 00:18:33.11\00:18:38.38 but we also need some law changes. We got to get out and 00:18:38.41\00:18:42.42 vote. I said we got to get out and vote. It is not unchristian 00:18:42.45\00:18:47.06 to vote. I wish I had a witness in this place. 00:18:47.09\00:18:48.69 We have to vote policies and we have to vote for the right 00:18:48.72\00:18:52.56 people and some people need to be voted out. We need godly 00:18:52.59\00:18:56.77 people. We need Christ-like people. We need law changes and some time to change the law, 00:18:56.80\00:19:03.10 you got to change the people. 00:19:03.14\00:19:04.67 But we also need the entire human race to join in this 00:19:04.71\00:19:11.75 birthing process. That is Black folks. That is White folks. That 00:19:11.78\00:19:16.58 is Hispanic folks. That is Asian folk. It has all folks join together to fight for 00:19:16.62\00:19:20.42 and advocate the freedom and equality of all races, speaking 00:19:20.46\00:19:25.59 of races, in all races when we thinking here about the Civil 00:19:25.63\00:19:29.53 Rights Movement, we hear a lot about Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, John 00:19:29.56\00:19:36.64 Lewis, Fred Shuttlesworth, Joseph Lowery, Andrew Young, Ralph Abernathy, and Rosa Parks, 00:19:36.67\00:19:42.21 but have you also heard of William Moore? Pastor Bruce Klunder? Andrew Goodman? 00:19:42.24\00:19:49.95 Michael Schwerner? Pastor James Reeb? Viola Liuzzo? Jonathan Daniels and Juliet Morgan? 00:19:49.98\00:19:56.83 Each of these individuals that I just named participated 00:19:56.86\00:19:59.69 and died during the Civil Rights Movement. 00:19:59.73\00:20:01.96 But what makes them stand out is that each of these individuals, 00:20:02.00\00:20:04.63 each one was white and gave their lives fighting for racial 00:20:04.67\00:20:09.34 equality. In fact, they did this in some, 00:20:09.37\00:20:11.07 in place of some black folk who felt that fighting for equal rights was not worth their 00:20:11.11\00:20:16.51 own lives. There were some black folk who did not march. 00:20:16.54\00:20:22.15 There was some White folk who stood up for us when we would not stand for ourselves. 00:20:22.18\00:20:27.99 Let me be clear some of the emails, some of the letters, some of the hate mail, 00:20:28.02\00:20:32.79 and social media posts that I have received discouraging me 00:20:32.83\00:20:36.93 from protesting and speaking up and speaking out have come from 00:20:36.97\00:20:41.07 people of color. But that does not deter me 00:20:41.10\00:20:43.94 because when I study history I realized that every black person 00:20:43.97\00:20:48.51 did not agree with Martin Luther King. 00:20:48.54\00:20:50.28 Every black person did not believe in the Montgomery Bus 00:20:50.31\00:20:54.15 Boycott. Every black person did not vote for Barack Obama. 00:20:54.18\00:20:58.12 In fact, when Barack Obama ran for president two thousand 00:20:58.15\00:21:00.86 eight, blacks only constituted 13 percent of the population, 00:21:00.89\00:21:02.99 but he got fifty-three percent of the total vote, 00:21:03.02\00:21:05.66 which means that somebody in addition to black people had to 00:21:05.69\00:21:09.33 vote for him. Are you hearing what I am saying? I have learned everybody does not like you. 00:21:09.36\00:21:14.67 Everybody will not like you. Everybody will not understand 00:21:14.70\00:21:19.37 you. Some people will never like you because your spirit irritates their demons. 00:21:19.41\00:21:25.15 Not every black person is woke. We got some fake woke out there. 00:21:25.18\00:21:33.32 I wish I had time. Every minority, listen to me good, 00:21:33.36\00:21:37.89 every minority, I do not care where you have come from. I do not care where you were born. 00:21:37.93\00:21:43.13 Every minority in the United States has either directly 00:21:43.16\00:21:47.07 or indirectly benefited from the Civil Rights struggle, and do not you forget that. 00:21:47.10\00:21:53.44 So what do we need to do? Number one. We need some law changes. 00:21:53.48\00:21:57.65 Number two. We need all hands on deck. All hands on board to 00:21:57.68\00:22:01.68 deliver Liberty, to allow Liberty be born not stillborn, but born. But the number three, 00:22:01.72\00:22:06.79 we need God in our lives. I do not understand people who call themselves followers of God, 00:22:06.82\00:22:12.56 but ca not speak up against racism. We need God in our 00:22:12.59\00:22:16.93 lives. I was working on his sermon. 00:22:16.97\00:22:18.43 I said, well, maybe I should say we need God back in our lives, 00:22:18.47\00:22:21.04 but for some people God was never in their lives. We need 00:22:21.07\00:22:27.14 God in our lives. If God can part the Red Sea, if God can make a way in the wilderness, 00:22:27.18\00:22:32.71 if God can, feel like preaching now. If God can make rivers in 00:22:32.75\00:22:38.49 the desert, we know that God can move mountains out of our way, 00:22:38.52\00:22:41.42 if the Lord can use a virgin to conceive a child then God can birth Liberty into his 00:22:41.46\00:22:47.03 people, if the Lord can open up a Red Sea then surely the Lord can open up bigoted minds, 00:22:47.03\00:22:53.40 if the Lord can heal a woman with the issue of blood then God can heal us of this 00:22:53.44\00:22:59.17 dreaded disease called racism. Liberty is pregnant again, 00:22:59.21\00:23:07.05 but what are we going to do about it? Are we going to birth it or we going to ignore it? 00:23:07.08\00:23:14.46 two hundred and fifty years ago, our country, our nation was 00:23:14.49\00:23:20.80 pregnant. Pregnant with liberty and it is pregnant now. It is pregnant with life, liberty, 00:23:20.83\00:23:30.17 and the pursuit of happiness. Liberty is pregnant 00:23:30.21\00:23:35.68 and every time a woman is about to give birth, the doctors tell her to do one thing, 00:23:35.71\00:23:43.59 they tell her to push. Liberty is pregnant again, 00:23:43.62\00:23:49.82 and it is time I can not get a witness in this place. 00:23:49.86\00:23:53.09 It is time to PUSH, Pray Until Something Happens. You got to 00:23:53.13\00:24:00.17 push. Speak up and speak out. You have got to push. I know you 00:24:00.20\00:24:05.34 are tired, but keep on marching and push. I know it hurts, but you got to stand up for the 00:24:05.37\00:24:11.71 right. Push. I know you feel like giving up but push. 00:24:11.75\00:24:15.82 I know you will think it is not going to happen but push. 00:24:15.85\00:24:19.49 I know you think you are not gonna birth it but push. 00:24:19.52\00:24:22.86 The race is not given to the swift or to the strong 00:24:22.89\00:24:26.73 but to the one that endures unto the end. So push. 00:24:26.76\00:24:31.23 Jesus has already set us free. Jesus already won the battle on 00:24:31.27\00:24:37.37 Calvary and if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed. 00:24:37.41\00:24:42.68 So push because if you do not push the church will be 00:24:42.71\00:24:48.48 debilitated. The community will be devastated. The world will be 00:24:48.52\00:24:53.29 disintegrated. The race will be dominated and the globe will be annihilated. So push. 00:24:53.32\00:24:58.26 You are about to give birth. I said you are about to give 00:24:58.29\00:25:03.33 birth. We are going to keep marching because we are about to 00:25:03.37\00:25:05.83 give birth. We got to keep protesting because we are about 00:25:05.87\00:25:08.77 to give birth. Liberty is coming. Liberty got it, has its 00:25:08.80\00:25:12.87 head out. Liberty's hands and feet are coming out. Liberty's eyes are peeking out. 00:25:12.91\00:25:18.48 Nobody can hold you down. Nobody can keep you down. 00:25:18.51\00:25:22.12 Nobody can stop God from blessing you. 00:25:22.15\00:25:24.75 When they build a wall around you, knock it down. When they put a mountain before you, 00:25:24.79\00:25:29.96 speak it down. When they lay a problem in front of you, tear it 00:25:29.99\00:25:34.20 down. When they bring you prejudice, turn it into praise. When they bring you grief, 00:25:34.20\00:25:39.93 turn it into gratitude. When they bring you hurt, turn it 00:25:39.97\00:25:43.51 into hope. When they bring you trouble, turn it into thanks. When they bring you a deficit, 00:25:43.54\00:25:48.04 you better turn it into a surplus. When they laugh at you, 00:25:48.08\00:25:52.01 keep on smiling. When they slander your name, you just going to praise God's name 00:25:52.05\00:25:55.72 because this joy that I have the world did not give it and the world can not take it away. 00:25:55.75\00:26:03.22 I got the joy joy joy joy. Down in my heart and it is down in my 00:26:03.26\00:26:09.96 heart to stay. Let me tell you people can talk about me all 00:26:10.00\00:26:12.50 they want. They can take away my health but they can not take 00:26:12.53\00:26:16.94 away my hope. They can take away my job but they can not take 00:26:16.97\00:26:20.24 away my joy. They can take away my pulpit but they can not take 00:26:20.28\00:26:23.91 away my praise. They can take away my position but they can not take away my power. 00:26:23.95\00:26:27.28 They can strip me of my letters but they can not strip me of my 00:26:27.32\00:26:31.05 life because God is the joy and the strength of my life. It moves all pain, misery, 00:26:31.09\00:26:43.83 and strife, He promised to keep me never to leave me. 00:26:43.87\00:26:46.07 He has never come short of his word. I have got to fast 00:26:46.10\00:26:49.80 and pray, stay in the narrow way. Keep my life clean every 00:26:49.84\00:26:53.58 day. I want to go with him when he comes back because I have 00:26:53.61\00:27:00.22 come too far and I will never turn back. 00:27:00.25\00:27:07.56 Liberty is pregnant again. What are you going to do with it? 00:27:07.59\00:27:19.47 You just going to talk about it? Just text about it? 00:27:19.50\00:27:23.97 Just tweet about it? Liberty is pregnant again. 00:27:24.01\00:27:29.64 We do not need another stillbirth, but we need Liberty 00:27:29.68\00:27:35.62 and freedom and equality to be born for everyone. 00:27:35.65\00:27:40.76 Thank you very much for tuning in to this week's Breath of Life 00:27:40.79\00:27:45.29 broadcast. We hope and pray that you've been blessed by Dr. Byrd's inspirational message. 00:27:45.33\00:27:49.70 If you would like to hear this sermon in its entirety, 00:27:49.73\00:27:52.13 please feel free to visit us at www.breathoflife.tv. 00:27:52.17\00:27:58.01 Or, call us at (256) 929-6460. 00:27:58.04\00:28:11.19 When I was eight years old, I was diagnosed with Crohn's 00:28:11.22\00:28:16.62 disease. When I was fifthteen, I had my first surgery. When I think about the time that I lost 00:28:16.66\00:28:27.97 during my adolescent years, I just can't seem to put it togther. Even now I'm doing 00:28:28.00\00:28:37.91 treatment for my disease. Everyone experiences loss.
