condition, as most medical

in your body. So
when you have anemia,

the oxygen-carrying
capacity of the blood

decreased. When you have anemia,

when a person is
anemic, your bloodless,

When you have anemia, you

feel tired and
you fatigue easily.

you develop palpitations,

Anemia affects 3 million

billion people worldwide,

which is nearly 25 percent
of the world's population.

Now, to fight anemia,
you have to increase your

red blood cell count,
because when you do this,

this increases the amount
of oxygen the blood carries.

So, to fight anemia you
have to take iron supplements;

you have to take
vitamins--B12, specifically-

-folic acid supplements,
have bone marrow transplants

or have blood transfusions.
This is critical because

blood is our life source.
Any doctor will tell you,

you can't survive
without blood. Our bodies need

energy and oxygen, and
blood is the delivery mechanism

to get the energy and
oxygen to them. If your body

doesn't get blood, if
your blood doesn't flow,

your body will stop
working. And just like you

and the fact that we're

at the dawn of earth's

with me to the Garden of Eden.

Adam and Eve have
sinned. Jesus, our Savior,

our Redeemer, our
Messiah, has not yet come.

But Adam and Eve and
all of our brothers and

sisters in the Old
Testament were saved by

faith in the Jesus
that was to come. So then,

they had to sacrifice a
lamb, a goat, an offering,

a type, a forerunner,
an example, a figure of the

Messiah that would
come. But today, I'm so glad

that we are saved by
faith in the Jesus that has

already come. But let's
go back to the beginning.

If we go back to Genesis
chapter 4, we will remember

that God asks Cain and
Abel to bring Him a sacrifice.

Abel obeys the command.
God is pleased with Abel,

because Abel does not
bring before God that which

he grew with his own
power. Abel brings before God

life for which he is
not responsible. Abel brings

before God life that has
blood in it. Abel doesn't

bring vegetation
which has no blood in it.

Abel brings a lamb,
because it has blood in it,

because Abel understands
that it will take the

shedding of blood to
bring about the forgiveness

from sin. But
Cain, on the other hand,

is bent on offering up
to God what he did himself.

So what does Cain
bring? Fruits, nuts, grain,

vegetables. Don't get it
twisted today. God didn't

accept Cain's sacrifice,
not because Cain didn't

bring his best. Cain
brought his best. God didn't

accept Cain's sacrifice
because Cain didn't bring

God what God asked for.
Too many of us are bringing

something to God, of
what God is not asking for.

Cain brings an
offering to God based on what he

did himself, which is
symbolic of the fact that

Cain represents
displaced and improper religion.

Because some religion
is bent on offering up to

God that which we do
ourselves. Understand,

this kind of religion says,
I'm saved because I do this.

I'm saved because I do
that. It says I'm saved because

I return tithe. This
kind of religion has a lot of

things that gives, it
gives you the credit for,

and if you're not
careful, religion will honor

itself for earning
salvation. Religion will

take the brooms of
life, the brooms of

human effort, and
try to work its way into

pleasing God. But this
kind of religion always

falls short.
There's a difference between

religion and
revelation. Cain has religion.

Abel has revelation.
Abel has a revelation

from God that it
is not through what I

have done, but
it's only through what

God has done.
Which means, friends,

the sin problem of
this world can only

what God has done.

The sin problem

All these things are good;

their place, but they
can't earn you salvation.

of a family of four-

family of four that was

serious car accident.

Let's call the
younger brother Mark,

'cause we'll use
the Gospel of Matthew

and the Gospel of
Mark. Matthew comes

before Mark, so
Mark's the younger brother.

Are you hearing
what I'm saying? Mark,

the younger of the
two brothers involved,

was badly injured and he needs a

blood transfusion.
Mark's big brother,

Matthew, he's

the perfect blood
type. The perfect match

for his little
brother. So the father sits

down with Matthew
and he explains that his

Mark, is gonna die.

But if Matthew would

Two thousand years ago,

Jesus gives us new
life. Blood is life.

itself to a far deeper

But power should not
