BREATH OF LIFE MINISTRIES 00:00:01.33\00:00:07.20 PRESENTS SERMON#534 "Thank You, Jesus" 00:00:07.24\00:00:11.57 [music] BREATH OF LIFE THEME MUSIC 00:00:11.61\00:00:19.41 PB: The Word of God says to us in Luke, chapter 17, 00:00:19.45\00:00:21.82 verse number 11; if you have it, let me hear you say amen. 00:00:21.85\00:00:26.29 All right, the Word says, "And it came to pass, 00:00:26.32\00:00:28.56 as he went to Jerusalem, he passed through 00:00:28.59\00:00:32.39 the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 00:00:32.43\00:00:35.40 And as he entered into a certain village, 00:00:35.43\00:00:37.87 there met him 10 men." How many men? 00:00:37.90\00:00:40.67 Aud.: Ten. PB: "That were" what, everybody? 00:00:40.70\00:00:42.50 Aud: Lepers. PB: Which the Bible says "stood afar off. 00:00:42.54\00:00:46.54 And they lifted up their voices and said, 00:00:46.57\00:00:48.98 'Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!' 00:00:49.01\00:00:53.65 And when He saw them, He said to them, 00:00:53.68\00:00:55.58 'Go, show yourselves to the priests.'" 00:00:55.62\00:01:00.42 And it came to pass that "as they went, 00:01:00.46\00:01:03.02 they were cleansed." They were what, everybody? 00:01:03.06\00:01:05.36 Aud: Cleansed. PB: "And one of them, 00:01:05.39\00:01:07.36 when he saw that he was healed, turned back, 00:01:07.40\00:01:11.00 and with a loud voice"--what kind of voice? 00:01:11.03\00:01:14.90 Aud.: Loud. PB: He "glorified God, 00:01:14.94\00:01:18.21 and fell down on his face at His feet, 00:01:18.24\00:01:21.84 giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. 00:01:21.88\00:01:26.72 And Jesus answered and said, 00:01:26.75\00:01:29.55 'Were there not ten cleansed? 00:01:29.58\00:01:33.59 But where are the nine? 00:01:33.62\00:01:37.73 There are not found that returned 00:01:37.76\00:01:40.40 to give glory to God, save this stranger. 00:01:40.43\00:01:44.53 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: 00:01:44.57\00:01:49.07 thy faith hath made thee whole." 00:01:49.10\00:01:55.61 But, look one more time. Study this week, 00:01:55.64\00:01:58.05 I saw this. Look at verse 13, it's very important. 00:01:58.08\00:02:00.92 "And they lifted up their voices"--which means, 00:02:00.95\00:02:04.79 they got loud. "And said, Jesus, Master, 00:02:04.82\00:02:08.59 have mercy on us." But then, go down to verse 15. 00:02:08.62\00:02:11.83 "And when one of them, when he saw that 00:02:11.86\00:02:13.23 he was healed, turned back, and with 00:02:13.26\00:02:16.33 a loud voice glorified God." 00:02:16.36\00:02:20.90 Today I just want to testify, thank You, Jesus. 00:02:20.94\00:02:23.71 That's all I want to do is say thank You, Jesus. 00:02:23.74\00:02:25.94 Father, thank You. Bless us as we 00:02:25.97\00:02:28.08 preach this Word. In Jesus' name. Amen. 00:02:28.11\00:02:31.75 The mark of culture and the evidence 00:02:31.78\00:02:36.02 of etiquette says that when somebody 00:02:36.05\00:02:39.29 does something nice for you, 00:02:39.32\00:02:41.42 you're supposed to say thank you. 00:02:41.46\00:02:44.99 Now, from childhood we're taught this, 00:02:45.03\00:02:47.76 and if you don't say thank you, 00:02:47.76\00:02:49.73 it's a reflection on your upbringing 00:02:49.76\00:02:52.60 and your home training. Do I have 00:02:52.63\00:02:54.54 a witness in this place? I grew up 00:02:54.57\00:02:56.87 in a home where my daddy didn't believe 00:02:56.91\00:03:00.11 in being embarrassed, so when someone 00:03:00.14\00:03:03.38 did for us, we had better say thank you 00:03:03.41\00:03:07.12 in response to their kindness. 00:03:07.15\00:03:08.92 Because if we didn't, he believed that 00:03:08.95\00:03:11.32 a hard head made a soft bottom. 00:03:11.35\00:03:12.89 Do I have a witness in this place? 00:03:12.92\00:03:14.79 He said, you may not have money, 00:03:14.82\00:03:17.49 but you can have manners. You may be poor, 00:03:17.53\00:03:22.03 but you can be polite. You may not be rich, 00:03:22.06\00:03:26.27 but you're not going to be rude. 00:03:26.30\00:03:29.04 You'd better say thank you. 00:03:29.07\00:03:32.51 Do you know what I'm talking about? 00:03:32.54\00:03:34.78 But we live in a world now, 00:03:34.81\00:03:36.11 where the world has been conditioned to 00:03:36.14\00:03:37.71 be unthankful. I have never seen it on this wise, 00:03:37.75\00:03:41.65 but this entitlement, this mindset that 00:03:41.68\00:03:45.52 says people owe you what they give you 00:03:45.55\00:03:48.29 has gotten out of control. Let me be 00:03:48.32\00:03:51.53 clear today, nobody owes you a thing. 00:03:51.56\00:03:54.63 If there's one sin that's most prevalent today, 00:03:54.66\00:03:58.43 it's the sin of ingratitude. You see, 00:03:58.47\00:04:01.30 God does so much for us. If God doesn't 00:04:01.34\00:04:05.81 do another thing for me, God's already done enough. 00:04:05.84\00:04:09.11 But we rarely, or at least infrequently, 00:04:09.14\00:04:12.48 offer thanks to God for what God's done, 00:04:12.51\00:04:15.12 because we take the blessings of God for granted. 00:04:15.15\00:04:19.62 But I want to remind somebody, 00:04:19.65\00:04:21.46 every day is a day of Thanksgiving. 00:04:21.49\00:04:23.79 Somebody didn't wake up this morning, 00:04:23.83\00:04:25.83 but you got up. It's a blessing. 00:04:25.86\00:04:27.46 Are you hearing what I'm saying? 00:04:27.50\00:04:28.96 Too often, we're like the little boy who 00:04:29.00\00:04:31.20 was given an orange by a man. The man 00:04:31.23\00:04:35.07 gave the little boy an orange, and the 00:04:35.10\00:04:36.40 boy's mother asked her son, "Son, 00:04:36.44\00:04:38.41 in response to what the man has done, 00:04:38.44\00:04:40.24 what do you say to the man?" The little 00:04:40.28\00:04:43.14 boy thought about it, and after thinking 00:04:43.18\00:04:45.21 about it he handed the orange back to the man, 00:04:45.25\00:04:48.05 and then he told the man, "Peel it." 00:04:48.08\00:04:50.92 [Aud. reaction] 00:04:50.95\00:04:53.19 PB: In the text, Jesus is on His way to 00:04:53.22\00:04:59.63 Jerusalem when He's met by 10 lepers whom 00:04:59.66\00:05:04.80 the Bible says "stood afar off." That means, 00:05:04.83\00:05:09.17 they weren't close to Jesus. Now remember, 00:05:09.20\00:05:12.54 leprosy was a terrible disease. Leprosy was 00:05:12.57\00:05:16.68 so bad a disease that when a person had it, 00:05:16.71\00:05:18.78 their skin began to rot and fall off. 00:05:18.81\00:05:21.88 Many lepers lost all their fingers, all their toes, 00:05:21.92\00:05:25.35 because of the disease. But not only was the 00:05:25.39\00:05:28.02 disease painful, the disease was smelly. 00:05:28.06\00:05:31.79 You could tell if a person had leprosy because 00:05:31.83\00:05:35.20 their body reeked with a stench. Their body 00:05:35.23\00:05:38.50 was covered with sores. But not only that, 00:05:38.53\00:05:41.67 it was easy to catch leprosy. Just touching 00:05:41.70\00:05:45.64 a person who had leprosy or touching something 00:05:45.67\00:05:47.74 that they touched could make you get leprosy. 00:05:47.78\00:05:50.58 So whenever a person caught leprosy, 00:05:50.61\00:05:52.55 in Bible times, they had to live outside 00:05:52.58\00:05:54.62 the community. In fact, the Bible teaches 00:05:54.65\00:05:57.59 in Leviticus 13:46 that they had to live 00:05:57.62\00:05:59.95 outside the community because the Bible says 00:06:00.06\00:06:01.79 as long as he has the infection of leprosy, 00:06:01.82\00:06:04.83 he remains unclean. He must live alone. 00:06:04.86\00:06:09.40 He must live outside the camp. 00:06:09.43\00:06:12.37 So then lepers were separate. 00:06:12.40\00:06:15.14 Lepers were shut off and shut out. 00:06:15.17\00:06:19.37 Lepers were shut out from their families, 00:06:19.41\00:06:22.31 shut out from their friends, 00:06:22.34\00:06:24.45 shut out from the church. They lived alone. 00:06:24.48\00:06:28.32 Leprosy made a person unclean. 00:06:28.35\00:06:31.35 When a person saw a leper, they would shout, 00:06:31.39\00:06:34.19 "Unclean! Unclean!" when they saw an 00:06:34.22\00:06:37.23 individual with this dreaded disease. 00:06:37.26\00:06:39.09 In fact, the law said that when, 00:06:39.13\00:06:41.26 on the street, you passed a leper, 00:06:41.30\00:06:43.26 you were to pass on the other side and shout 00:06:43.30\00:06:46.17 "Unclean!" The religious leaders--who, 00:06:46.20\00:06:49.94 by the way, liked to add rules to the 00:06:49.97\00:06:52.01 laws that God had given His people; because, 00:06:52.04\00:06:54.71 you do know that some of us have rules 00:06:54.74\00:06:56.48 for which there are no Scriptures, 00:06:56.51\00:06:59.28 practices for which there are no biblical 00:06:59.31\00:07:04.05 principles--they said the lepers couldn't 00:07:04.09\00:07:08.52 even go to the temple like everybody else could. 00:07:08.56\00:07:12.13 This wasn't just because they were afraid 00:07:12.16\00:07:13.93 of catching leprosy, it was because the 00:07:13.96\00:07:16.63 religious leaders also thought that the 00:07:16.67\00:07:19.73 lepers were unclean spiritually. 00:07:19.77\00:07:22.97 And that's just like some church folks- 00:07:23.00\00:07:25.37 -not at Oakwood--but some church folks, 00:07:25.41\00:07:27.48 we keep the very people out who need 00:07:27.51\00:07:29.21 Jesus the most. Do I have a witness in this place? 00:07:29.24\00:07:32.28 So not only did the lepers have a terrible disease, 00:07:32.31\00:07:36.32 but they were also accused of having unclean hearts. 00:07:36.35\00:07:41.22 But today, I'm so glad that where the law 00:07:41.26\00:07:46.93 says man can't go, Jesus goes. Where the 00:07:46.96\00:07:52.57 law says and declares "off limits," 00:07:52.60\00:07:56.10 Jesus rushes in. When the law says 00:07:56.14\00:08:00.38 "pass on the other side," Jesus makes 00:08:00.41\00:08:03.85 it a point to make contact. The Bible 00:08:03.88\00:08:07.15 says that the lepers stood afar off. 00:08:07.18\00:08:11.55 But Jesus is able to reach and save us, 00:08:11.59\00:08:15.82 because when my family can't help me; 00:08:15.86\00:08:18.76 Jesus can. When my friends can't help me; 00:08:18.79\00:08:23.67 Jesus can. When the church can't help me; 00:08:23.70\00:08:28.64 Jesus can. And when we stand afar off from Him, 00:08:28.67\00:08:34.38 Jesus does not stand afar off from us. 00:08:34.41\00:08:38.88 When we can't get to Jesus, Jesus gets to us. 00:08:38.91\00:08:43.79 When we can't come to Jesus, Jesus comes to us. 00:08:43.82\00:08:49.19 When the lepers saw Jesus, the Bible says they 00:08:49.22\00:08:53.33 lifted up their voices, which means, they got loud; 00:08:53.36\00:08:59.50 which means they screamed; which means, they yelled out; 00:08:59.53\00:09:05.11 which means, their cry was "Jesus. Master. 00:09:05.14\00:09:09.74 Have mercy on us!" Jesus takes a good look at them, 00:09:09.78\00:09:16.62 and Jesus says, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." 00:09:16.65\00:09:22.29 Notice, Jesus doesn't touch them. Jesus doesn't 00:09:22.32\00:09:26.66 anoint them. Jesus doesn't pray for them. 00:09:26.70\00:09:30.67 Jesus doesn't wash them. Here is the Great Physician, 00:09:30.70\00:09:36.50 the One who can heal anybody at any time, 00:09:36.54\00:09:39.61 doing anything. But He says, "Go, show yourselves 00:09:39.64\00:09:44.25 to the priests." Because, according to the law, 00:09:44.28\00:09:47.48 the priests were the only ones who could 00:09:47.52\00:09:49.25 pronounce them clean. The Bible says they went, 00:09:49.28\00:09:53.49 but while on their way--I said, while on their way. 00:09:53.52\00:10:01.13 I don't have much time today, because we've 00:10:01.16\00:10:02.46 got to get to the Lord's Supper, but--while 00:10:02.50\00:10:05.30 on their way, their leprosy, friends, 00:10:05.33\00:10:08.67 was not gone when they got to the priests. 00:10:08.70\00:10:11.61 But their leprosy was gone on their way 00:10:11.64\00:10:14.81 to the priests. Somebody's still not getting this today. 00:10:14.84\00:10:18.55 Did they confess their sins before they 00:10:18.58\00:10:21.78 went and received their healing? Did they clean up? 00:10:21.82\00:10:25.49 Did they change their lifestyle before they went 00:10:25.52\00:10:28.56 and received their healing? Did they walk 00:10:28.59\00:10:31.26 down the aisle, shake my hand, 00:10:31.29\00:10:33.93 sign the appeal card, before they received 00:10:33.96\00:10:37.33 their healing? No. Jesus healed them on their way. 00:10:37.37\00:10:42.80 Not when they got to the priests, 00:10:42.84\00:10:45.77 but on their way to the priests, 00:10:45.81\00:10:48.64 which means God has already begun to 00:10:48.68\00:10:51.11 heal somebody before you got here today. 00:10:51.15\00:10:54.82 The priests can't take claim for your healing. 00:10:54.85\00:10:58.12 The preacher can't take claim for your healing. 00:10:58.15\00:11:01.29 The church can't take claim for your healing. 00:11:01.32\00:11:04.29 God did it while you were on your way. 00:11:04.33\00:11:09.10 [Aud. reaction] PB: But look at 00:11:09.13\00:11:11.27 what happens next. This is the shouting part. 00:11:11.30\00:11:13.97 Look at verse 14, 15. Look at 15. I'm almost done. 00:11:14.00\00:11:18.01 The Bible says in verse 15, "And one of them"- 00:11:18.04\00:11:23.14 -I wish I had a preaching church in here today. 00:11:23.18\00:11:26.01 [Aud. reaction] PB: You know, I was at 00:11:26.05\00:11:28.12 Sligo last week; I was looking forward to 00:11:28.15\00:11:29.58 getting back to Oakwood. Do I have a witness 00:11:29.62\00:11:31.09 in this place? And, "one of them, when he 00:11:31.12\00:11:37.96 saw that he was healed, he turned back and 00:11:37.99\00:11:46.03 with a loud voice"--he wasn't quiet. 00:11:46.07\00:11:50.94 He "fell down on his face at his feet, 00:11:50.97\00:11:59.85 giving him thanks." And not only that; 00:11:59.88\00:12:02.35 "he was a Samaritan." And Jesus, answering, 00:12:02.38\00:12:05.75 said--and I love Jesus. He's all that, 00:12:05.79\00:12:07.59 then some and a bag of chips, because 00:12:07.62\00:12:09.59 He knows the beginning from the end. 00:12:09.62\00:12:10.96 But looking at Jesus, he asks, "Were 00:12:10.99\00:12:13.03 there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 00:12:13.06\00:12:20.04 There are not found that returned to 00:12:20.07\00:12:22.44 give glory to God, save this stranger. 00:12:22.47\00:12:25.04 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: 00:12:25.07\00:12:29.48 thy faith hath made thee whole." 00:12:29.51\00:12:36.05 [Aud. reaction] PB: Thy faith hath 00:12:36.08\00:12:39.12 made thee whole. I said, thy faith hath 00:12:39.15\00:12:46.49 made thee whole. Somebody's still not 00:12:46.53\00:12:50.37 getting it. Here's the key to the story: 00:12:50.40\00:12:52.63 All 10 lepers were in the same awful position. 00:12:52.67\00:12:55.20 All 10 lepers were in the same pitiful condition. 00:12:55.24\00:13:00.24 All 10 lepers prayed and were healed. 00:13:00.28\00:13:04.38 But the Bible says only one came 00:13:04.41\00:13:09.28 back to say thank you, which leads me, 00:13:09.32\00:13:15.39 then, to the conclusion that many 00:13:15.42\00:13:17.23 see their need to pray but don't 00:13:17.26\00:13:19.49 see their need to praise. 00:13:19.53\00:13:21.53 I wish I had a witness in this place! 00:13:21.56\00:13:24.43 [Aud. reaction] PB: I don't know how he came 00:13:24.47\00:13:26.84 to this decision, but when the man saw that 00:13:26.87\00:13:30.91 he was healed, he stopped going in one direction, 00:13:30.94\00:13:35.14 turned around and went the other direction; 00:13:35.18\00:13:39.05 made a beeline to Jesus, because he had 00:13:39.08\00:13:42.85 a reason to praise God. They all had a reason 00:13:42.88\00:13:46.99 to praise God, but only one. What happened 00:13:47.02\00:13:52.86 to the other nine? Maybe they went to be 00:13:52.89\00:13:55.60 with their family and their friends. 00:13:55.63\00:13:57.53 Maye they went to hug and kiss their 00:13:57.57\00:13:59.27 wife and children. Maybe they went to 00:13:59.30\00:14:01.04 visit with friends, and maybe they went 00:14:01.07\00:14:03.04 to talk to friends. Maybe their minds 00:14:03.07\00:14:05.84 were occupied on all the blessing that 00:14:05.87\00:14:08.41 the blessing brought to their lives. 00:14:08.44\00:14:10.88 But the Bible says there was one. One, 00:14:10.91\00:14:14.82 who loved his wife and children just 00:14:14.85\00:14:17.09 as much as the others. One, who wanted 00:14:17.12\00:14:20.02 to hug and kiss his wife, just like the others. 00:14:20.06\00:14:23.26 One, who wanted to spend time with his 00:14:23.29\00:14:25.76 children and his friends, just like the others. 00:14:25.79\00:14:28.50 One, who wanted to enjoy the blessings 00:14:28.53\00:14:31.10 just as much as the others, but there 00:14:31.13\00:14:33.23 was one, who had his priorities together. 00:14:33.27\00:14:38.61 One did not get so caught up in the 00:14:38.64\00:14:40.91 blessing that he forgot about the blessor. 00:14:40.94\00:14:43.55 One, who put family, friends and fellowship 00:14:43.58\00:14:49.62 on hold so that he could worship the One 00:14:49.65\00:14:52.62 that made his being with family and friends 00:14:52.65\00:14:56.93 possible in the first place. So you know 00:14:56.96\00:15:01.20 what he says? Thank You, Jesus. 00:15:01.23\00:15:06.40 Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus! 00:15:06.43\00:15:13.84 Thank You, Jesus! But let me get back to 00:15:13.88\00:15:19.01 my main point. The Bible says--remember, 00:15:19.05\00:15:22.85 we read it, verse 15--that "with a loud voice, 00:15:22.88\00:15:26.76 he glorified God." So that means, with the same 00:15:26.79\00:15:31.33 loudness and intensity that he cried for mercy, 00:15:31.36\00:15:35.80 that same intensity, that same volume, 00:15:35.83\00:15:40.97 he cried to God. Y'all don't hear what I'm saying. 00:15:41.00\00:15:43.44 [Aud. reaction] PB: Many times we cry loud 00:15:43.47\00:15:47.18 for God in prayer, but then we're low in 00:15:47.21\00:15:50.75 enthusiasm with praise. But when you were 00:15:50.78\00:15:54.82 trying to get in school, when you were trying 00:15:54.85\00:15:58.55 to get financially cleansed, you were praying, 00:15:58.59\00:16:02.66 and you were praying loud. You shouted from 00:16:02.69\00:16:06.46 the rooftops, "Lord, help me get in school." 00:16:06.49\00:16:10.50 "Lord, help me financially clear." But once 00:16:10.53\00:16:14.17 you get in school, you're quiet. "Lord, 00:16:14.20\00:16:19.34 help me get a job." But once you get a job, 00:16:19.37\00:16:23.14 you're quiet. "Lord, help me get out of 00:16:23.18\00:16:26.45 this sickness." But once the Lord heals you, 00:16:26.48\00:16:29.32 you're quiet. But with the same zeal when we 00:16:29.35\00:16:33.29 needed help back then, we ought to praise 00:16:33.32\00:16:36.96 Him with the same zeal up here. I will bless 00:16:36.99\00:16:41.56 the Lord at all times and His praise shall 00:16:41.60\00:16:46.10 continually be in my mouth. O, come and 00:16:46.13\00:16:48.80 magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt 00:16:48.84\00:16:54.41 His name together. Two thousand years ago, 00:16:54.44\00:16:59.55 Jesus gave His life for you and for me. 00:16:59.58\00:17:08.62 And I don't know about you, 00:17:08.66\00:17:10.83 but I've come this Communion 00:17:10.86\00:17:13.03 Sabbath simply to say thank You. 00:17:13.06\00:17:19.10 [Aud. reaction] PB: His blood healed 00:17:19.13\00:17:23.10 us from a gruesome disease much more 00:17:23.14\00:17:26.57 than leprosy, and I've got to say thank You. 00:17:26.61\00:17:32.68 His blood healed us from the sin disease, 00:17:32.71\00:17:39.32 and I've got to say thank You. 00:17:39.35\00:17:43.22 Now, somebody may think this is for 00:17:43.26\00:17:45.03 somebody else, because we think the only 00:17:45.06\00:17:47.20 people that ought to say thank you are 00:17:47.23\00:17:48.66 the drug addicts, those who have drunk, 00:17:48.70\00:17:50.13 those who've slept around and fooled around. 00:17:50.17\00:17:51.80 But somebody--you gossips--somebody 00:17:51.83\00:17:54.57 you've talked about, somebody. 00:17:54.60\00:17:56.64 Somebody, your faith is not where it should be. 00:17:56.67\00:17:59.64 Somebody, you've been robbing God from tithe 00:17:59.67\00:18:02.31 and offering. But in spite of who you are, 00:18:02.34\00:18:05.78 in spite of what you've done, God still, 00:18:05.81\00:18:09.05 two thousand years ago, went to die for you. 00:18:09.08\00:18:11.82 While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 00:18:11.85\00:18:15.26 Thank You, Jesus! [Aud. reaction] 00:18:15.29\00:18:19.16 PB: But some of us seem to recognize 00:18:19.19\00:18:21.56 physical needs better than spiritual needs. 00:18:21.60\00:18:25.47 When we're hungry, we eat. When we're sick, 00:18:25.50\00:18:29.97 we go to the doctor. When we're tired, 00:18:30.01\00:18:33.58 we sleep. But just like leprosy is a 00:18:33.61\00:18:38.28 physical disease, sin is a spiritual disease, 00:18:38.31\00:18:43.92 and it needs to be healed. Jesus, this Sabbath; 00:18:43.95\00:18:51.19 Jesus, this Sabbath, September 24th, 00:18:51.23\00:18:58.27 He wants to heal you. Jesus wants to heal me. 00:18:58.30\00:19:06.14 That's why He put this Sabbath on the calendars, 00:19:06.17\00:19:10.78 because He wants to heal us. And the good news is, 00:19:10.81\00:19:19.15 if you call out for help, just like the lepers 00:19:19.19\00:19:23.12 called out for help, "Jesus have mercy on me," 00:19:23.16\00:19:29.46 Jesus will heal you just like He healed the lepers. 00:19:29.50\00:19:35.97 But understand, we've got to be like the leper 00:19:36.00\00:19:39.64 who returned back to say thank You. 00:19:39.67\00:19:45.28 He woke you up this morning. Thank You! 00:19:45.31\00:19:49.95 He put food on your table. Thank You! 00:19:49.98\00:19:54.52 He clothed you in your right mind. Thank You!. 00:19:54.56\00:19:58.63 He gave you feet to walk, a car to drive. 00:19:58.66\00:20:01.90 Thank You! He gave you a job to have. 00:20:01.93\00:20:06.20 Thank You! He gave financial clearance. 00:20:06.23\00:20:11.14 Thank You! He went to Calvary to die 00:20:11.17\00:20:14.64 for my sins. Thank You! He bled in His 00:20:14.68\00:20:19.11 mouth for my evil talk. Thank You! 00:20:19.15\00:20:22.38 He bled in His feet for my evil walk. 00:20:22.42\00:20:25.25 Thank You! He bled in His head for my 00:20:25.29\00:20:28.89 evil thoughts. Thank You! He bled in 00:20:28.92\00:20:32.56 His hands for my evil touch. Thank You! 00:20:32.59\00:20:35.93 What can wash away my sins? Nothing but 00:20:35.96\00:20:39.43 the blood of Jesus! What can make 00:20:39.47\00:20:42.74 me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! 00:20:42.77\00:20:46.37 In everything, give thanks. Make a joyful 00:20:46.41\00:20:51.71 noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 00:20:51.75\00:20:54.28 Serve the Lord with gladness. 00:20:54.32\00:20:56.32 Come before His presence with singing. 00:20:56.35\00:20:58.85 Know ye that the Lord, He is God. 00:20:58.89\00:21:00.92 It is He that hath made us and not 00:21:00.96\00:21:03.02 we ourselves. We are His people, 00:21:03.06\00:21:05.13 the sheep of His pasture. Enter into 00:21:05.16\00:21:08.03 His gates with thanksgiving, into His 00:21:08.06\00:21:10.50 courts with praise. And be thankful 00:21:10.53\00:21:13.94 until Him, for the Lord is good. 00:21:13.97\00:21:18.27 [Aud. reaction] PB: The Lord is good. 00:21:18.31\00:21:23.75 His mercy is everlasting. And His truth 00:21:23.78\00:21:31.25 shall endure to all generations. 00:21:31.29\00:21:39.06 Why do we have Communion? Why do 00:21:39.09\00:21:43.67 the deaconesses dress in white? 00:21:43.70\00:21:45.67 Why do the pastors and elders wear 00:21:45.70\00:21:47.30 dark suits, white shirts and white ties? 00:21:47.34\00:21:49.00 Why do the deacons wear black suits, 00:21:49.04\00:21:51.47 white shirts and red ties? Because 00:21:51.51\00:21:53.71 we've come to say to the Lord, thank You. 00:21:53.74\00:21:58.55 Aud.: Thank You. PB: And don't you 00:21:58.58\00:22:02.32 leave today without saying thank You. 00:22:02.35\00:22:10.96 If it had not been for the Lord, 00:22:10.99\00:22:13.50 somebody should be strung out by now, 00:22:13.53\00:22:18.37 somebody should be dead in their grave, 00:22:18.40\00:22:24.01 somebody's child may not be in your house. 00:22:24.04\00:22:31.88 They may be on the street, but at least 00:22:31.91\00:22:33.28 they're not dead. As long as they're breathing, 00:22:33.31\00:22:36.18 that means the Holy Ghost has a chance. 00:22:36.22\00:22:37.89 Thank You, Jesus. If I can pray with a 00:22:37.92\00:22:49.56 loud voice, I can praise with a loud voice. 00:22:49.60\00:22:53.54 Lord, have mercy on me. Lord, I thank You.
